Based on the Plastica theory(see ref.[12]),the large deflection of an elastic-perfectlyplastic cantilever subjected to an inclined concentrated force at its tip,before the unloadingin the plastic region occurs,is analyzed in this paper.The emphasis of the analysis is put onthe effects of the angle of inclination of the concentrated force upon the deformed shape,theload-deflection relationship and the length of the plastic region.Both analytical andcomputed results are given.  相似文献

An extension of the Elastica theory is developed to study the large deflection of an elastic-perfectly plastic horizontal cantilever beam subjected to a vertical concentrated force at its tip. The entire process is divided into four stages: I.elastic in the whole cantilever; II.loading and developing of the plastic region; III.unloading in the plastic region; and IV.reverse loading. Solutions for stages I and II are presented in a closed form. A combination of closed-form solution and numerical integration is presented for stage III. Finally, stage IV is qualitatively studied. Computed results are given and compared with those from small-deflection theory and from the Elastica theory.  相似文献

This paper describes a method to analyze the elasto-plastic large deflection of a curved beam subjected to a tip concentrated follower load. The load is made to act at an arbitrary inclination with the tip tangent. A moment-curvature based constitutive law is obtained from linearly hardening model. The deflection governing equation obtained is highly non-linear owing to both kinematics and material non-linearity. It is linearized to obtain the incremental differential equation. This in turn is solved using the classical Runge–Kutta 4th order explicit solver, thereby avoiding iterations. Elastic results are validated with published literature and the new results pertaining to elasto-plastic cases are presented in suitable non-dimensional form. The load to end angle response of the structure is studied by varying normalized material and kinematic parameters. It is found that the response curves overlap at small deflection corresponding to elastic deformation and diverge for difference in plastic property. The divergent response curves intersect with each other at higher deflection. The results presented also show that the approach may be used to obtain desired non-uniformly curved beam by suitably loading a uniform curvature beam.  相似文献

基于Lagrange原理,建立了一套新的悬索大挠度动力特性和动力响应分析的有限体积法列式,推导了结点力向量、质量矩阵和单元刚度矩阵的显式表达式。该列式的一个显著特点是直接利用工程应变定义结构变形,其物理意义明确,列式简单,适用于各种垂度和荷载情况的悬索大挠度动力分析。实例动力特性和随机风振响应分析表明,该有限体积列式不仅计算效率高,而且具有良好的计算精度。  相似文献

In this paper,asymptotic behaviour of the solution to the problem of a thin clamped circular plate under uniform normal pressure at very large deflection is restudied by means of the modified method of multiple scales given in[1?].The result presented herein is in good agreement with the one obtained by professor Chien Wei-zang who first proposed the method of composite expansions to solve this problem in[3].However,by contrast,the advantage of the modified method of multiple scales it seems to be relatively simpler than the method used in[3].It is also shown that the restriction of the method of paper[1-2]pointed out in paper[4]is not essential,and several computation errors in[3]are corrected as well.  相似文献

This paper studies the very large deflection behavior of prismatic and non-prismatic cantilever beams subjected to various types of loadings. The formulation is based on representing the angle of rotation of the beam by a polynomial on the position variable along the deflected beam axis. The coefficients of the polynomial are obtained by minimizing the integral of the residual error of the governing differential equation and by applying the beam’s boundary conditions. Several numerical examples are presented covering prismatic and non-prismatic cantilever beams subjected to uniform, non-uniform distributed loads and tip concentrated loadings in vertical and horizontal directions. The loads considered in this study are restricted to the non-follower type loads. Cases with different loadings and geometries are compared with MSC/NASTRAN computer package. However, for some very large deflection case, the MSC/NASTRAN failed to predict the deflected shape due to divergence problems.  相似文献

The large deflection problem of cantilever beams was studied by means of the biparametric perturbation method and the first order derivative substitution from pseudolinear analysis approach. This kind of substitution can transform the basic equation, an integral differential equation into nonlinear algebraic ones, thus simplify computational process. A semi-analytical approach for the geometrically non-linear analysis of rectangular laminated plates with general inplane and out-of-plane boundary conditions under a general distribution of out-of-plane loads is developed. The analysis is based on the elastic thin plate theory with geometrically non-linear von Kármán strains. The solution of the non-linear partial differential equations is reduced to an iterative sequential solution of non-linear ordinary differential equations using the multi-term extended Kantorovich method. The efficiency, accuracy, and convergence of the proposed method are examined through a comparison with other semi-analytical methods and with finite element analyses. The capabilities of the approach and its applicability to the non-linear large deflection analysis of plate structures are demonstrated through various numerical examples. Emphasis is placed on combinations of lamination, boundary, and loading conditions that cannot be analyzed using alternative semi-analytical methods.  相似文献

The dynamic von Karman equations are used for nonlinear analysis of a thin circular plate made of a functionally graded material. The thickness of the plate is constant and the properties of the functionally graded material depend on temperature and vary throughout the thickness. It is assumed that the plate oscillates with large amplitudes. The forces and moments in the plate are determined in solving the equations for harmonic vibrations. Relevant results are obtained in the case of stead-state free vibrations. Nonlinear governing equations are established for large deflection of incom- pressible fluid saturated poroelastic beams under constraint that diffusion of the pore fluid is only in the axial direction of the deformed beams.Then,the nonlinear bend- ing of a saturated poroelastic cantilever beam with fixed end impermeable and free end permeable,subjected to a suddenly applied constant concentrated transverse load at its free end,is examined with the Gaierkin truncation method.The curves of deflections and bending moments of the beam skeleton and the equivalent couples of the pore fluid pressure are shown in figures.The results of the large deflection and the small deflection theories of the cantilever poroelastic beam are compared,and the differences between them are revealed.It is shown that the results of the large deflection theory are less than those of the corresponding small deflection theory,and the times needed to approach its stationary states for the large deflection theory are much less than those of the small deflection theory.  相似文献

The buckling and large deflection behaviors of axis-symmetric radially functionally graded (RFG) ring-stiffened circular plates are investigated by the dynamic relaxation (DR) method combined with the finite difference discretization technique. The material properties of the constituent components of the RFG plate are assumed to vary continuously according to the Mori-Tanaka distribution along the radial direction. The nonlinear governing equations are obtained in the incremental form based on the first-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) and the von Karman relations for large deflection. In the buckling analysis, an external in-plane load is applied to the plate incrementally so that, in each load-step, the incremental form of the governing equations can be solved by a numerical code prepared based on the DR method. After converging the DR code in the first increment, the latter load-step is added to the previous one, and the program is repeated again. The critical buckling load is determined from the compressive load-displacement curve obtained by solving the incremental form of the governing equa- tions. Based on the present incremental form of formulation, a bending analysis can also be conducted if the whole load is applied simultaneously. Finally, a detailed parametric study is carried out to investigate the influences of various boundary conditions, grading indices, thickness-to-radius ratios, stiffener’s positions and depths on the critical buckling load, and displacements and stresses resulted from the bending analysis. It is observed that the effect of the stiffener on the results is much greater in the functionally graded plate with higher material grading indices. The results also reveal that, by increasing the depth of the stiffer, the values of ascending the critical buckling load are approximately identical for both simply supported and clamped boundary conditions.  相似文献
