Ground-state scalar isoscalar mesons and a scalar glueball are described in a U(3)×U(3) chiral quark model of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type with 't Hooft interaction. The latter interaction produces singlet-octet mixing in the scalar and pseudoscalar sectors. The glueball is introduced into the effective meson Lagrangian as a dilaton on the base of scale invariance. The mixing of the glueball with scalar isoscalar quarkonia and amplitudes of their decays into two pseudoscalar mesons are shown to be proportional to current quark masses, vanishing in the chiral limit. Mass spectra of the scalar mesons and the glueball and their main modes of strong decay are described. Received: 14 July 2000 / Accepted: 31 July 2000  相似文献

The lattice QCD studies indicate that the critical temperature T c ≃ 260-280 MeV of the deconfinement phase transition in quenched QCD is considerably smaller than the lowest-lying glueball mass m G ≃ 1500-1700 MeV, i.e., T cm G. As a consequence of this large difference, the thermal excitation of the glueball in the confinement phase is strongly suppressed by the statistical factor e -mG/Tc ≃ 0.00207 even near TT c. We consider its physical implication, and argue the abnormal feature of the deconfinement phase transition in quenched QCD from the statistical viewpoint. To appreciate this, we demonstrate a statistical argument of the QCD phase transition using the recent lattice QCD data. From the phenomenological relation between T c and the glueball mass, the deconfinement transition is found to take place in quenched QCD before a reasonable amount of glueballs is thermally excited. In this way, quenched QCD reveals a question “what is the trigger of the deconfinement phase transition ?” Received: 18 November 2002 / Accepted: 4 February 2003 / Published online: 29 April 2003  相似文献

A SU(2) effective Lagrangian is extended to a SU L(3) ⊗SU R(3) by including the vector and axial vector meson. With this effective Lagrangian, electromagnetic form factors of charged pion and kaon are calculated in both time- and space-like regions. The pseudoscalar meson loops are taken into account. Good agreement with experimental data is obtained for those form factors and charged pseudoscalar meson radii. Decay widths of ρ→ππ and φ→K + K - are also calculated and shown to agree with experimental data very well. Received: 20 December 1999 / Accepted: 12 October 2000  相似文献

π and η decay modes of light baryon resonances are investigated within a chiral quark model whose hyperfine interaction is based on Goldstone-boson exchange. For the decay mechanism a modified version of the 3 P 0 model is employed. Our primary aim is to provide a further test of the recently proposed Goldstone-boson exchange constituent quark model. We compare the predictions for π and η decay widths with experiment and also with results from a traditional one-gluon exchange constituent quark model. The differences between nonrelativistic and semirelativistic versions of the constituent quark models are outlined. We also discuss the sensitivity of the results on the parameterization of the meson wave function entering the 3 P 0 model. Received: 11 May 2001 / Accepted: 17 September 2001  相似文献

We present new results of a relativistic quark model based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation in its instantaneous approximation. Assuming a linearly rising confinement potential with an appropriate spinorial structure in Dirac space and adopting a residual interaction based on instanton effects, we can compute masses of the light mesons up to highest observed angular momenta with a natural solution of the U A(1) problem. The calculated ground states masses and the radial excitations describe the experimental results well. In this paper, we will also discuss our results concerning numerous meson decay properties. For processes like π+/K +e +υeγ and 0-↦γγ at various photon virtualities, we find a good agreement with experimental data. We will also comment on the form factors of the K ?3 decay and on the decay constants of the π, K and η mesons. For the sake of completeness, we will furthermore present the electromagnetic form factors of the charged π and K mesons as well as a comparison of the radiative meson decay widths with the most recent experimental data. We perform a study of the final-state interactions of the K + and the d systems in the reactions ppdK + and ppdπ+η. Since the two-meson system couples strongly to the a 0(980) resonance, these reactions are expected to be an additional source of information about the controversial scalar sector. We also show that these reactions present peculiar features which can shed additional light on the much debated meson-baryon scalar sector with strangeness -1. We deduce the general structure of the amplitudes close to the dK + threshold, allowing for primary K + as well as π+η production with the two mesons in relative S- or P-wave. The interactions of the mesons are accounted for by using chiral unitary techniques, which generate dynamically the a 0(980) resonance, and the d interaction is also taken into account. General formulae are derived that allow to incorporate the final-state interactions in these systems for any model of the production mechanism. We illustrate this approach by considering two specific production mechanisms based on three flavor meson-baryon chiral perturbation theory. It is demonstrated that in this scenario the d interactions are very important and can change the cross-section by as much as one order of magnitude. The amount of π+ηversus K + production is shown to depend critically on the primary mixture of the two mechanisms, with large interference effects due to final-state interactions. These effects are also shown to occur in the event distributions of invariant masses which are drastically modified by the final-state interactions of the two-meson or the d system. Abstact: Within an extended Skyrme soliton model for baryons the interplay between the collective radial motion and the SU(3)–flavor–rotations is investigated. The coupling between these modes is mediated by flavor symmetry breaking. Collective coordinates which describe the corresponding large amplitude fluctuations are introduced and treated canonically. When diagonalizing the resulting Hamiltonian flavor symmetry breaking is fully taken into consideration. As eigenstates not only the low–lying (1/2)+ and (3/2)+ baryons but also their radial excitations are obtained and compared to the empirical data. In particular the relevance of radial excitations for the penta–quark baryon Z + (Y=2, I=0, J π=(1/2)+) is discussed. In this approach its mass is predicted to be 1.58 GeV. Furthermore the widths for various hadronic decays are estimated which, for example, yields Γ(Z +NK) ∼ 100 MeV for the only permissible decay process of the Z +. A ππ, ˉKK, and ρρ(ωω) fully coupled channel model is used to predict the lowest isospin S, P, D, F-wave phase shifts and inelasticities for elastic ππ scattering from threshold to 2.0 GeV. As input the S-matrix is required to exhibit poles corresponding to the meson resonance table of the Particle Data Group. As expected, the ππ inelasticity is very strongly related to the opening of the ˉK channel near 1 GeV, and the opening of ρρ(4π) and ωω(6π) channels in the 1.5 GeV region. The predictions of this model are compared to the various elastic ππ→ππ amplitudes, that were obtained from analyses of π p →ππ+n data. The role of the various resonances, in particular the glueball candidate f 0(1500) and the f J(1710) is investigated. Received: 19 November 1997  相似文献

The importance of Born terms and resonance exchange for η and η' photoproduction off both the proton and neutron within U(3) baryon chiral perturbation theory is investigated. Low-lying resonances such as the vector mesons and J P = 1/2+, 1/2- baryon resonances are included explicitly and their contributions together with the Born terms are calculated. The coupling constants of the resonances are determined from strong and radiative decays. We obtain reasonable agreement with experimental data near threshold. On the basis of the experimental data on diffractive processes in πp, pp and pˉp collisions at intermediate, moderately high and high energies, we restore the scattering amplitude related to the t-channel exchange by vacuum quantum numbers by taking account of the diffractive s-channel rescatterings. At intermediate and moderately high energies, the t-channel exchange amplitude turns, with a good accuracy, into an effective pomeron which renders the results of the additive quark model. At superhigh energies the scattering amplitude provides a Froissart-type behaviour, with an asymptotic universality of cross sections such as σtot πptot pp→ 1 at s→∞. The quark structure of hadrons being taken into account at the level of constituent quarks, the cross sections of pion and proton (antiproton) in the impact parameter space of quarks, σπ(r 1⊥, r 2⊥; s) and σp(r 1⊥, r 2⊥, r 3⊥; s), are found as functions of s. These cross sections implicate the phenomenon of colour screening: they tend to zero at |r i⊥r k⊥|→ 0. The effective colour screening radius for pion (proton) is found for different s. The predictions for the diffractive cross sections at superhigh energies are presented. Received: 15 December 1998  相似文献

The band structures built on the 5- isomeric state ( T 1/2 = 3.46 m) in the doubly odd 130Cs nucleus have been established up to I = 24? via the 124Sn(11B, 5n)130Cs reaction. The previously observed bands based on the πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2, πg 7/2⊗νh 11/2 and πd 5/2⊗νh 11/2 configurations and a positive-parity side band with multiple connections to the α = 0 signature partner of the yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band have been extended to higher spins. A new band based on the πh 11/2⊗νg 7/2 configuration is observed. The yrast πh 11/2⊗νh 11/2 band exhibits anomalous signature splitting whose magnitude decreases up to spin 15 and then increases without restoring the normal signature splitting. In the covariant quark-diquark model the effective Bethe-Salpeter (BS) equations for the nucleon and the Δ are solved including scalar and axial vector diquark correlations. Their quark substructure is effectively taken into account in both, the interaction kernel of the BS equations and the currents employed to calculate nucleon observables. Electromagnetic current conservation is maintained. The electric form factors of proton and neutron match the data. Their magnetic moments improve considerably by including axial vector diquarks and photon induced scalar-axial vector transitions. The isoscalar magnetic moment can be reproduced, the isovector contribution is about 15% too small. The ratio μG E/G M and the axial and strong couplings g A, g NN, provide an upper bound on the relative importance of axial vector diquarks confirming that scalar diquarks nevertheless describe the dominant 2-quark correlations inside nucleons. Within the conventional QCD sum rules, we calculate the πNN coupling constant, g πN, beyond the chiral limit using two-point correlation function with a pion. For this purpose, we consider the Dirac structure, iγ5, at m π 2 order in the expansion of the correlator in terms of the pion momentum. For a consistent treatment of the sum rule, we include the linear terms in quark mass as they constitute the same chiral order as m π 2. In this sum rule, we obtain g πN= 13.3 ± 1.2, which is very close to the empirical πNN coupling. This demonstrates that going beyond the chiral limit is crucial in determining the coupling. We present the results of the current analysis of the partial wave IJ PC = 00+ + based on the available data for meson spectra ( ππ, KˉK,ηη,η,ππππ). In the framework of the K-matrix approach, the analytical amplitude has been reconstructed in the mass region 280 MeV < < 1900 MeV. The following scalar-isoscalar states are seen: comparatively narrow resonances f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500), f 0(1750) and the broad state f0(1200-1600). The positions of the amplitude poles (masses and total widths of the resonances) are determined as well as pole residues (partial widths to meson channels ππ, KˉK,ηη,η,ππππ). The fitted amplitude gives us the positions of the K-matrix poles (bare states) and the values of bare-state couplings to meson channels thus allowing the quark-antiquark nonet classification of bare states. On the basis of the obtained partial widths to the channels ππ, KˉK,ηη,η, we estimate the quark/gluonium content of f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500), f 0(1750), f0(1200-1600). For f 0(980), f 0(1300), f 0(1500) and f 0(1750), their partial widths testify the qˉq origin of these mesons though being unable to provide precise evaluation of the possible admixture of the gluonium component in these resonances. The ratios of the decay coupling constants for the f0(1200-1600) support the idea about the gluonium nature of this broad state.
