A first-derivative spectrophotometric method is described for the simultaneous determination of Ru(III) and Rh(III) using octadecyl dithiocarbamate. The complexes are insoluble in water, but easily extractable into chloroform. Quantitative determination of Ru(III) and Rh(III) is possible in the ranges 0.5-6.0 mug ml(-1) and 1.0-10.0 mug ml(-1) respectively, with a standard deviation of +/-0.10. A statistical evaluation of the experimental results is reported.  相似文献

Sodium triphosphate acts as a specific reagent for enhancing the fluorescence intensity of cerium(III). The purpose of this study was to investigate the spectrofluorimetric determination of trace amounts of Ce(III) in sodium triphosphate solution. The excitation and emission wavelengths are 303.5 nm and 353 nm respectively. Optimum sodium triphosphate concentration is found to be 0.074 g l(-1) at room temperature. The fluorescence varies linearly with the concentration of cerium(III) in the range 0.001-45 mug ml(-1). The detection limit is 9.4 x 10(-4)mug ml(-1). The relative standard deviations for 30 mug ml(-1) and 0.05 mug ml(-1) Ce(III) in 0.074 g l(-1) sodium triphosphate solution are 1.1% and 0.72% respectively. Quenching effects of other lanthanides and some inorganic anions are described. This method is a direct and rapid analytical method for the determination of Ce(III) in rare earth mixtures and cerium concentrates.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and precise spectrophotometric method for the determination of Chromium (III and IV) has been developed. The reaction of Cr(VI) with N,N-diethyl-1,4-phenylenediamine is almost complete in a twinkling, which yields a red product with a wavelength of maximum absorption at 530 nm. Beer's Law is obeyed in the Cr concentration range of 0-2.0 mug ml(-1). The molar absorptivity is 5.0x10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1), limit of detection 0.002 mug ml(-1) and relative SD=1.13% for 5.04 mug Cr. The colouring rate and absorbance are not noticeably affected by temperature from 2 to 45 degrees C. The amounts of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) were measured by determining Cr(VI) first under the condition of masking Cr(III) by cyclohexyldiamine tetraacetic acid, and then the total amount by oxidation of Cr(III). The method was applied to the analyses of some industrial waste waters containing Cr with satisfactory results.  相似文献

In this paper, the on-line coupling of solid-phase extraction, based on a restricted-access support with high-performance reverse phase chromatography for the analysis of carbamazepine (CBZ) and carbamazepine-10,11-epoxide (CBZ-E) in human plasma samples is described. A precolumn packed with 25 mum C(18) alkyl-diol support is used for direct plasma injection. Using column-switching techniques, the analytes were enriched on the precolumn by a 5 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7) with 2% of methanol solution at a flow-rate of 0.8 ml min(-1), while proteins and endogenous hydrophilic substances in plasma were washed off to waste. The enriched analytes were then back-flushed onto the analytical C(18) column, separated by a mixture of 10 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7) acetonitrile (70:30 v/v) solution at a flow-rate of 1.0 ml min(-1) and detected by the ultraviolet absorbance set at 212 and 285 nm and without transfer loss. Linear calibration graphs were obtained for sample injection volumes of 50 (0.2-4.0 of mug of CBZ ml(-1) and 0.1-5.0 mug of CBZ-E ml(-1), respectively), and 20 mul (5.0-20.0 mug of CBZ ml(-1)); in either case the r-value was >0.9963. Recoveries from spiked plasma samples were quantitative for both analytes and the coefficients of variation were below 3.83%. The lowest samples concentrations that can be quantified with acceptable accuracy and precision was 0.2 mug CBZ ml(-1) and 0.1 mug CBZ-E ml(-1) when a sample volume of 50 mul was injected. Concentrations of 0.08 and 0.05 mug ml(-1) of CBZ and CBZ-E were considered the limit of detection for a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. Furthermore, the developed column-switching method was successfully applied to the determination of CBZ and CBZ-E in plasma samples of patients submitted to CBZ therapy.  相似文献

The reaction between gold(III) and p-dimethylaminobenzilidenerhodanine in hydrochloric acid medium containing 20% v/v ethanol has been studied spectrophotometrically. It has been established that the process is very complicated: gold(III) is reduced to gold(I) which reacts with unchanged reagent. The value of the equilibrium constant is 2.56 +/- 0.45. Conditions are proposed for the determination of 2-8 mug of gold in 25 ml, with a standard deviation of 0.04 mug 25 ml .  相似文献

Cationic surfactant, cetylpyridinium bromide (CPB), sensitizes the colour reaction of cerium(IV) with 1,3-o-hydroxyphenyl-5-phenylformazan(I), 1-m-hydroxyphenyl-3-o-hydroxyphenyl-5-phenylformazan(II) and 1-m-carboxyphenyl-3-o-hydroxyphenyl-5-phenylformazan(III). The formation of a soluble ternary complex of stoichiometric ratio 1:1:1 (Ce(IV)-R-CPB) is responsible for the observed enhancement in the molar absorptivity and Sandell sensitivity of the formed complex, when a surfactant is present. The ternary complex exhibits absorption maxima at 596, 571 and 607 nm (epsilon=6.05 x 10(4), 6.28 x 10(4) and 8.06 x 10(4)L mol(-1)cm(-1)) using triphenylformazan derivatives I, II and III, respectively. Beer's law is obeyed between 0.15 and 2.5 microg ml(-1), whereas, optimum concentration range applying Ringbom method is in the range 0.30-2.25 microg ml(-1). Conditional formation constants in the presence and absence of CPB for Ce(IV) complexes have been calculated. The proposed method has been successfully applied to the analysis of magnesium-base cerium alloys and synthetic mixtures corresponding to various cerium alloys.  相似文献

Different micellar media had different effects on the absorption spectra of the complexes of bromopyrogallol red with Sb(III) and Sb(V). The mixed micellar medium composed of 0.7 ml of 0.2% sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) and 0.3 ml of 2% nonylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol (OP) at 80 degrees C could be used for the sensitive determination of Sb(III) in Sb(III)/Sb(V) binary mixtures. Under the optimal conditions, Beer's Law was obeyed over the range 0.1-2.3 mug ml(-1) Sb(III) with molar absorptivity at 538 nm being 4.8 x 10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1) and detection limit 0.04 mug ml(-1). For 10 mug Sb(III), more than 100 mug Sb(V) could be tolerated (error < 3%) in the presence of SDS/OP micellar medium as compared with 0.1 mug Sb(V) in the absence of SDS/OP micellar medium. In addition, the sensitivity of Sb(III) in the micellar medium was much higher than that in pure water medium. As compared with conventional extraction spectrometry, the proposed method produced a reproducible result. It did not need the conversion of Sb(III) to Sb(V) and a time-consuming extraction process. A detailed discussion on the selection of surfactants, the effect of temperature, and the role played by the mixed surfactants were also made.  相似文献

A method for spectrophotometric determination of four aromatic amines is described. The method is based on the reaction between the amine and the colorless Fe(III)-ferrozine complex. The amine reduces iron from Fe(III) to Fe(II) which forms a violet colored complex with ferrozine. The method is suitable for to the determination of 1,4-phenylenediamine, 2,4-diaminotoluene, 8-aminoquinoline and 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine. The effect of different factors such as; pH, stability of the complex, temperature, ferrozine concentration, Fe(III) concentration and methanol concentration have been studied. The composition of the complex as well as the tolerance amount of other amines have been reported. Maximum absorbance is at 562 nm and Beer's law is obeyed over the ranges 0.17-1.6 ppm for 1,4-phenylenediamine, 0.45-3.7 ppm for 2,4-diaminotoluene, 0.51-3.4 ppm for 8-aminoquinoline and 0.53-4.4 ppm for 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine. The obtained molar absorbtivities were 4.7x10(4), 2.0x10(4), 1.6x10(4), 1.5x10(3) l mol(-1) cm(-1) respectively.  相似文献

A simple, highly sensitive chemiluminescent method using flow injection is described for the determination of three substituted benzamides, namely: sulpiride, sultopride and tiapride. The method is based on the sensitizing effect of these drugs on the chemiluminometric oxidation of sulphite by cerium(IV). The different experimental parameters affecting the chemiluminescence intensity were carefully studied and incorporated into the procedure. The method permits the determination of 0.05-2.5 mug ml(-1) sulpiride, 0.01-2.5 mug ml(-1) sultopride hydrochloride and 0.01-1.5 mug ml(-1) tiapride hydrochloride with minimum detectability of 0.01 mug ml(-1). The method was applied to the determination of these benzamides in pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids.  相似文献

A simple procedure for selective sorption of tungsten is described. The method involves reduction of W(VI) to W(V) with tin(II) chloride (2%, w/v) at 8-9M hydrochloric acid, formation of the W(V)-SCN complex with 0.2M KSCN and its sorption on polyurethane foam within 20 min. The sorbed complex is then eluted with acidified acetone (1 ml of 1M hydrochloric acid and 8 ml of acetone) followed by addition of 1 ml of 0.1M KSCN to the eluent. The method has been applied to the spectrophotometric determination of tungsten in steels and silicates by measuring the absorbance of the eluted solution at 400 nm. Beer's law is obeyed for the range 0.1-12 mug W/ml. Other elements, e.g., Co(III) (50 mug/ml), Cu(II) (10 mug/ml), Ti(IV) (20 mug/ml), V(V) (10 mug/ml) and Mo(VI) (0.5 mug/ml) have no effect on the method. Interference of copper, up to 100 mug/ml has been eliminated by masking with thiourea and that due to molybdenum by prior separation with thioglycollic acid on PUF. The method has been verified with standard samples.  相似文献

The application of the catalysed oxidation of Bromopyrogallol Red by potassium per- sulphate for silver determination is discussed. In aqueous solution silver concentrations of 0.5- 1 mug/ml can be determined and 1- 13 ng/ml in the presence of 1, 10-phenanthroline as activator. In combination with solvent extraction, catalytic determination of the extracted silver is possible even in presence of 200 mug of iron(III), cobalt(II) and palladium(II). By means of an automatic variant of the simultaneous comparison method a more sensitive determination (0.2-20 ng/ml) was achieved.  相似文献

Local anaesthetics procaine hydrochloride (I), benzocaine (II), and tetracaine hydrochloride (III) were determined by the technique of sequential injection analysis (SIA) with chemiluminescence (CL) detection. The CL was emitted during the oxidation of the analytes by permanganate in aqueous sulphuric acid in the presence of various CL enhancers (4-hydroxybiphenyl, Rhodamine B, glycolaldehyde, glutaraldehyde and formic acid). The optimum enhancer or reagent concentrations, order and volumes of the injected zones were: 0.37 M formic acid (40, 23 or 28 mul for I-III, respectively), sample (40 mul), 2.3 M H(2)SO(4) (20, 16 or 18 mul for I-III, respectively), and 0.5 mM KMnO(4) (19, 13 or 15 mul for I-III, respectively). After a double (or single for III) reversal of the flow the mixed zone was pushed into the detector at a flow rate of 100 mul s(-1). The transient CL signal was recorded at >/=390 nm. The calibration graphs relating the intensity of the emission (peak heights) to the concentration of the analytes were curvilinear (a second order polynomial showed the best fit) and they were suitable for determining I-III in the ranges 0.5-50, 0.5-25 and 0.2-25 mug ml(-1), respectively. The limits of detection (3sigma) were 0.3 mug ml(-1) for I and II and 0.1 mug ml(-1) for III. The sample throughput was 120 h(-1). The relative standard deviations were 相似文献

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of copper and nickel by third-derivative spectrophotometry based on the absorption spectra of their complexes with cyanide ion in the ultraviolet range. The method allows the determination of 0.55-5.8 mug/ml of copper and 0.55-6.8 mug/ml of nickel. The relative standard deviation for 11 determinations of 1.5 mul/ml of copper and nickel were 0.78 and 0.72%, respectively. The detection limits were 0.10,mug/ml for nickel and 0.13 mug/ml for copper. The method has been applied to direct determination of copper and nickel in iron alloys and an aluminium alloy without any separation.  相似文献

Four sensitive, simple and specific methods were developed for the determination of desloratadine (DSL), a new antihistaminic drug in pharmaceutical preparations and biological fluids. Methods I and II are based on coupling DSL with 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzo-2-oxa-1,3-diazole (NBD-Cl) in borate buffer of pH 7.6 where a yellow colored reaction product was obtained and measured spectrophotometrically at 485 nm (Method I). The same product could be measured spectrofluorometrically at 538 nm after excitation at 480 nm (Method II). Methods III and IV, on the other hand, involved derivatization of DSL with 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB) in borate buffer of pH 9.0 producing a yellow colored product that absorbs maximally at 375 nm (Method III). The same derivative was determined after separation adopting HPLC (Method IV). The separation was performed on a column packed with cyanopropyl bonded stationary phase equilibrated with a mobile phase composed of acetonitrile-water (60 : 40, v/v) at a flow rate of 1.0 ml min(-1) with UV detection at 375 nm. The calibration curves were linear over the concentration ranges of 0.5-6, 0.02-0.4, 1-10 and 1-30 microg ml(-1) for Methods I, II, III and IV, respectively. The lower detection limits (LOD) were 0.112, 0.004, 0.172 and 0.290 microg ml(-1), respectively, for the four methods. The limits of quantification (LOQ) were 0.340, 0.012, 0.522 and 0.890 microg ml(-1) for Methods I, II, III and IV, respectively. The proposed methods were applied to the determination of desloratadine in its tablets and the results were in agreement with those obtained using a reference method. Furthermore, the spectrofluorometric method (Method II) was extended to the in-vitro determination of the drug in spiked human plasma, with a mean percentage recovery (n=4) of 99.7+/-3.54. Interference arising from endogenous amino acids has been overcome using solid phase extraction. The proposed methods are highly specific for determination of DSL in the presence of the parent drug loratadine. A proposal for the reaction pathways is postulated.  相似文献

A simple and sensitive extractive spectrophotometric determination of fluoride with the cerium(III)-alizarin complexan chelate has been investigated. The fluoro chelate formed is extracted into n-pentanol containing triethylamine. It is possible to achieve under selected conditions a selective extraction of the cerium(III)alizarin complexan-fluoride chelate. The stability of the chelate, the effect of temperature and the low absorbance of the blank are discussed. It is found that it is necessary to add a pH 9 buffer before the extraction. Procedures are given for the determination of 0.1-1 mug of fluoride in a 4-ml sample and 5-25 mug of fluoride in a 90-ml sample.  相似文献

A method is proposed for the simultaneous determination of iron(III) and molybdenum(VI) by first-derivative spectrophotometry based on the absorption spectra of their complexes with morin in the presence of a cationic surfactant. The zero-crossing measurement technique is found sutiable for the direct measurement of the first-derivative value at the specified wavelengths. Iron(III) (0.9-1.5 mug ml(-1)) and molybdenum(VI) (0.3-4.2 mug ml(-1)) in different ratios have been determined simultaneously. A critical evaluation of the proposed method is performed by statistical analysis of the experimental data. The method was applied to determine iron and molybdenum in different alloys.  相似文献

A new direct spectrophotometric determination of manganese with 5,8-dihydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone (naphthazarin,NAZA) is reported. Absorption maximum, molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity of 1:2 (M:L) complex are 695 nm, 1.88x10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1) and 2.92 ng cm(-2), respectively. A linear calibration graph is obtained up to a concentration of 7.2 mug ml(-1) of manganese. The optimum range for determination (Ringbom) is between 0.20 and 6.8 mug ml(-1). A rapid method for simultaneous determination of manganese and zinc in their mixture using derivative spectra is described. The range 0.28-5.6 mug ml(-1) manganese could be determined in the presence of 0.33-6.8 mug ml(-1) zinc and vice versa. The developed method was applied to the simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of manganese and zinc in some synthetic mixtures and was found to give satisfactory results.  相似文献

Batchwise and FIA determinations have been developed for cationic and nonionic surfactants, based on the formation of ternary Cu(II)-chromazurol S-surfactant compounds. Optimum reaction conditions have been found (pH 8.0, lambda=590 and 630 nm, respectively). For the batchwise measurement, the molar absorption coefficient values epsilon(590)=5.1-5.7x10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1) for cationic surfactants, epsilon(630)=0.7-1.5x10(4) l mol(-1) cm(-1) for nonionic surfactants. A factorial design has been carried out to determine the optimum flow conditions. Calibration curves were constructed and statistically evaluated for both the batchwise and FIA determination. For example, the linear concentration ranges for batch determination of the cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and nonionic surfactant Marlophen NP 10 are 0-15 mug ml(-1) (R=0.9996, R.S.D.=6.62-0.64%) and 13-53 mug ml(-1) (R=0.9993, R.S.D.=4.48-1.40%), respectively; the respective detection limits are 0.02 and 4.0 mug ml(-1). For FIA determination of the same surfactants, the linear concentration ranges are 0-13 mug ml(-1) (R=0.9995, R.S.D.=4.44-0.49%) and 66-397 mug ml(-1) (R=0.9994, R.S.D.=8.92-1.12%), respectively, detection limits are 0.08 and 38 mug ml(-1), respectively.  相似文献

In the present paper, N,N'-dinaphthyl-N,N'-diphenyl-3,6-dioxaoctanediamide acts as a specific reagent for enhancing the fluorescence intensity of Eu(III) complex with thenoyl trifluoroacetone (TTA), the spectrofluorimetric determination of trace amounts of Eu(III) based on the above system was carried out and its luminescence mechanism was studied. The excitation and emission wavelengths are 343.6 and 613.3 nm, respectively. The fluorescence intensities vary linearly with the concentration of europium(III) in the range 3.647x10(-3)-3.039 mug ml(-1) for the original fluorescence with a detection limit down to 2.279x10(-4) mug ml(-1) and the standard deviation is 0.063 mug ml(-1) for 10 times measurements, and in the range 7.598x10(-4)-0.0243 mug ml(-1) (SD=0.035 for 15 times measurements), 0.06078-0.6100 mug ml(-1) (SD=0.52 for 10 times measurements) for the first derivative fluorescence signal with a detection limit down to 8.566x10(-5) mug ml(-1). The interferences of other rare earths and some of inorganic ions are described. This method is a direct, rapid, selective and sensitive analytical method for the determination of trivalent europium in rare earth ore samples and high purity of rare earth oxides.  相似文献

A sequential injection analysis (SIA) assembly for the atomic absorption determination of Fe(III) in natural waters is proposed. Iron is preconcentrated on a microcolumn packed with a chelating resin (Chelex 100) that is inserted in the manifold. The sample is passed through the column and the iron retained by the resin is subsequently eluted with 2 M HNO(3). The proposed SIA system affords automatic preconcentration, elution, detection of Fe(III), data acquisition and treatment. When 9 ml of iron solution containing 0.4 or 1 mg l(-1) was passed through the resin, the retention efficiency was 93.1 +/- 0.6 and 7.4 +/- 3.0% respectively, and when 27 ml of iron solution of 0.2 mg l(-1) was preconcentrated, the retention was 8.4 +/- 2.9%. The detection limits thus achieved is 12 mug l(-1) when 9 ml of sample are preconcentrated and 6 mug l(-1) for 27 ml.  相似文献
