Based on the generalized hidden local symmetry as the chiral model of pseudoscalar, vector, and axial vector mesons, the excitation curve of the reaction e + e - $ \pi^{+}_{}$ $ \pi^{-}_{}$ $ \pi^{+}_{}$ $ \pi^{-}_{}$ is calculated for energies in the interval 0.65 ? $ \sqrt{{s}}$ ? 1 GeV. The theoretical predictions are compared to available data of CMD-2 and BaBaR. It is shown that the inclusion of heavy isovector resonances ρ(1450) and ρ(1700) is necessary for reconciling calculations with the data. It is found that at $ \sqrt{{s}}$ ≈ 1 GeV the contributions of the above resonances are much larger, by a factor of 30, than the ρ(770) one, and amount to a considerable fraction ~ 0.3-0.6 of the latter at $ \sqrt{{s}}$ m ρ .  相似文献

The $ \Sigma$ beam asymmetry in the photoproduction of neutral pions from quasi-free nucleons in a deuteron target was measured for the first time between 0.60 and 1.50GeV, with the GRAAL polarized and tagged photon beam. The asymmetry values from the quasi-free proton were found equal to the ones extracted from a pure proton target. The asymmetries from quasi-free proton and quasi-free neutron were found equal up to 0.82GeV and substantially different at higher energies. We reevaluate the hadronic contributions to the muon magnetic anomaly, and to the running of the electromagnetic coupling constant at the Z-boson mass. We include new π + π ? cross-section data from KLOE, all available multi-hadron data from BABAR, a reestimation of missing low-energy contributions using results on cross sections and process dynamics from BABAR, a reevaluation of all experimental contributions using the software package HVPTools together with a reanalysis of inter-experiment and inter-channel correlations, and a reevaluation of the continuum contributions from perturbative QCD at four loops. These improvements lead to a decrease in the hadronic contributions with respect to earlier evaluations. For the muon g?2 we find lowest-order hadronic contributions of (692.3±4.2)?10?10 and (701.5±4.7)?10?10 for the e + e ?-based and τ-based analyses, respectively, and full Standard Model predictions that differ by 3.6σ and 2.4σ from the experimental value. For the e + e ?-based five-quark hadronic contribution to $\alpha(M_{Z}^{2})$ we find $\varDelta \alpha_{\mathrm{had}}^{(5)}(M_{Z}^{2}) =(274.9\pm1.0)\cdot10^{-4}$ . The reduced electromagnetic coupling strength at M Z leads to an increase by 12 GeV in the central value of the Higgs boson mass obtained by the standard Gfitter fit to electroweak precision data.  相似文献

The photoproduction of K+ mesons from the nucleon provides important constraints on the nucleon excitation spectrum and at threshold energies challenges effective field theories based on chiral perturbation in the strange quark sector. Preliminary cross-section measurements for γ(P, K+)A are presented at an unprecedented beam energy resolution. The data was collected at the MAMI-C facility in Mainz using the Crystal Ball Detector. A new method of K+ detection was used in which the K+ is tagged from its weak decay products in the detector crystals. This technique has application with other calorimeters at present and future hadron facilities.  相似文献

We report the magnetic properties of small Ni13-nAlnhbox{Ni}_{13-n}hbox{Al}_n clusters with n = 0–13 calculated in the framework of density functional theory. The cluster magnetic moment decreases with the sequential substitution of Ni by Al atoms, which can be attributed to a greater degree of hybridization that forces the pairing of the electrons in the molecular orbitals of Ni and Al. For Ni7Al6, the complete quenching of the cluster magnetic moment appears to be due to the antiferromagnetic alignment of atomic spins as revealed by the spin density plots.  相似文献

The width of the \(\tau\rightarrow\bar{K}^{*0}(892)\pi^{-}\nu_\tau\) decay is calculated within the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model taking into account four channels of the formation of the \(\tau\rightarrow\bar{K}^{*0}(892)\pi^{-}\) pair—the contact interaction and three channels with intermediate axial-vector, vector, and pseudoscalar mesons. Leading contributions arise from the contact interaction and axial-vector channel with an intermediate ground-state K1(1270) meson. Our theoretical estimate adequately reproduces the measured \(\tau\rightarrow\bar{K}^{*0}(892)\pi^{-}\nu_\tau\) decay width.  相似文献

It is shown that, within the Standard Model extended by including a singlet quark heavy enough to prevent its direct detection at LHC, the mass differences $ \Delta m_{B_d } $ and $ \Delta m_{B_s } $ and the parameter of CP violation in K-meson oscillations, ? K , acquire universal corrections of about 5 to 10%. Implicit experimental constraints on the mass of this new quark are discussed.  相似文献

Industrial demand for neutrons constrains careful energy measurements. Elastic scattering of monoenergetic \(\alpha \)-particles from neutron collision enables neutron energy measurement by calculating the amount of deviation from the position where collision takes place. The neutron numbers with specific energy is obtained by counting the number of \(\alpha \)-particles in the corresponding location on the charged particle detector. Monte Carlo simulation and COMSOL Multiphysics5.2 are used to account for one-to-one collision of neutrons with \(\alpha \)-particles.  相似文献

The rare decay K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ branching ratio measurement is one of the clearest Standard Model test. Calculations based on the SM predict Br(K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ ) ≈ 2.8 × 10?11, but the most accurate experimental value Br(K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ ) < 6.7 × 10?8 (90% C.L.). We present design of a new experimental setup KLOD (U-70 accelerator, IHEP, Protvino) for K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ branching ratio measurement. Sensitivity of the KLOD experiment will be enough for registration of 2.4 events K L 0 → π0ν $ \tilde v $ for every 10 days of the data taking (according to SM predictions).  相似文献

In this study, anti-reflection (AR) \(\hbox {SiO}_{2}/ \hbox {ZrO}_{2}\) thin films with 3-layers were designed and fabricated by the essential Macleod software and physical vapor deposition, respectively. In order to improve the optical and physical properties of the prepared samples, laser shock peening (LSP) technique was applied. For this purpose, an Argon Fluoride Excimer laser \((\lambda =193 \,\text {nm})\) with 110 and 240 mJ energies and 1 Hz frequency at different pulses was used. The effect of LSP method in improving transmissions and laser damage thresholds of the prepared samples was proved by using UV–Vis–IR spectroscopy in the wavelength range of 400–1200 nm and international standard ISO11254 at 1064 nm. In addition, scanning electron microscopy was used to check the effect of applying LSP.  相似文献

The parameters of the Dalitz diagram for the decay η′ηπ 0 π 0 in a generalized and a linear representation were determined by using a statistical sample of 15 × 103 events. A charge-exchange reaction at a momentum of 32 GeV/c was a source of monoenergetic η′ mesons. The experiment was performed with the aid of the GAMS-4π spectrometer.  相似文献

Role of the Λ(1600) is studied in the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction by using the effective Lagrangian approach near the threshold. We perform a calculation for the total and differential cross sections by considering the contributions from the Λ(1600) and Λ(1670) intermediate resonances decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ with ${{\rm{\Sigma }}}^{* 0}(1385)$ decaying into ${\pi }^{0}{\rm{\Lambda }}$. Additionally, the non-resonance process from u-channel nucleon pole is also taken into account. With our model parameters, the current experimental data on the total cross sections of the ${K}^{-}p\to {\rm{\Lambda }}{\pi }^{0}{\pi }^{0}$ reaction can be well reproduced. It is shown that we really need the contribution from the Λ(1600) with spin-parity ${J}^{P}=1/{2}^{+}$, and that these measurements can be used to determine some of the properties of the Λ(1600) resonance. Furthermore, we also plot the π0Λ invariant mass distributions which could be tested by the future experimental measurements.  相似文献

We investigate the decays of \(\bar{B}^0_s\), \(\bar{B}^0\) and \(B^-\) into \(\eta _c\) plus a scalar or vector meson in a theoretical framework by taking into account the dominant process for the weak decay of \(\bar{B}\) meson into \(\eta _c\) and a \(q\bar{q}\) pair. After hadronization of this \(q\bar{q}\) component into pairs of pseudoscalar mesons we obtain certain weights for the pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson components. In addition, the \(\bar{B}^0\) and \(\bar{B}^0_s\) decays into \(\eta _c\) and \(\rho ^0\), \(K^*\) are evaluated and compared to the \(\eta _c\) and \(\phi \) production. The calculation is based on the postulation that the scalar mesons \(f_0(500)\), \(f_0(980)\) and \(a_0(980)\) are dynamically generated states from the pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson interactions in S-wave. Up to a global normalization factor, the \(\pi \pi \), \(K \bar{K}\) and \(\pi \eta \) invariant mass distributions for the decays of \(\bar{B}^0_s \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^+ \pi ^-\), \(\bar{B}^0_s \rightarrow \eta _c K^+ K^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^+ \pi ^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c K^+ K^-\), \(\bar{B}^0 \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^0 \eta \), \(B^- \rightarrow \eta _c K^0 K^-\) and \(B^- \rightarrow \eta _c \pi ^- \eta \) are predicted. Comparison is made with the limited experimental information available and other theoretical calcualtions. Further comparison of these results with coming LHCb measurements will be very valuable to make progress in our understanding of the nature of the low lying scalar mesons, \(f_0(500), f_0(980)\) and \(a_0(980)\).  相似文献

In Rumanov (J Math Phys 56:013508, 2015), we found explicit Lax pairs for the soft edge of beta ensembles with even integer values of \({\beta}\). Using this general result, the case \({\beta = 6}\) is further considered here. This is the smallest even \({\beta}\), when the corresponding Lax pair and its relation to Painlevé II (PII) have not been known before, unlike cases \({\beta = 2}\) and 4. It turns out that again everything can be expressed in terms of the Hastings–McLeod solution of PII. In particular, a second order nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE) for the logarithmic derivative of Tracy–Widom distribution for \({\beta = 6}\) involving the PII function in the coefficients is found, which allows one to compute asymptotics for the distribution function. The ODE is a consequence of a linear system of three ODEs for which the local singularity analysis yields series solutions with exponents in the set 4/3, 1/3 and ?2/3.  相似文献
