Coherent vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) radiation was generated by four-wave difference frequency mixing (VUV=212) of pulsed dye laser radiation in carbon monoxide (CO). The frequency 1 was tuned to the C 1+(=0)X 1+(=0) two-photon transition, while the dye laser frequency 2 was scaned around 17650 cm–1 which corresponds to the A 1(=7)«C 1+(=0) transition energy. The VUV intensity was found to be strongly wavelength dependent. The analysis of the spectrum revealed (i) that the VUV intensity was enhanced by the rotational levels of the A 1(=7) state and (ii) that the off-resonance excitation in the C 1+(=0)X 1+(=0) two-photon transition greatly contributed to the present four-wave mixing process. The effects of pumping laser detuning, saturation and foreign gases are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Transparent conducting SnO2 thin films with a thickness between 1000–2000 Å were deposited on glass, quartz and silicon substrates using standard pulsed laser deposition techniques with two different targets (Sri and SnO2) and with three different laser wavelengths (1.06, 0.532 and 0.266 ) from a Q-switched Nd: YAG laser. Tin dioxide films with optical transmission over most of the visible spectrum exceeding 80% were obtained using a Sn target and a background oxygen pressure of 20 Pa. The electrical resistivity () depended strongly on the substrate temperature during deposition, with the lowest values of of about 10–2 -cm obtained when the substrate was maintained at 400°C during deposition. Using SnO2 targets, predominantly amorphous phase SnO2 films were deposited on Si substrates and then transformed into polycrystalline Sn3O4 by laser induced crystallization ( = 1.06 m). Whereas these later films were essentially non-conducting as deposited ( > 400 -cm), the electrical resistivity was permanently reduced after laser induced crystallization by a factor greater than 1000 to a value of approximately 4 × 10–1 -cm.  相似文献

Thermal damage of silicon photodiodes exposed to intense optical radiation is investigated. Damage thresholds of Si photodiodes irradiated by 1.06m laser pulses are reported for values of irradiation time,, ranging from 10–8 to 1s. Threshold laser irradiation produces visible microscopic damage and a permanent degradation in photoresponse. The loss of responsivity is associated with degradation of the detector diode characteristics due to laser-induced heating. The time and wavelength dependence agree with the predictions of a thermal model which treats a semi-infinite material irradiated by a Gaussian laser beam. The energy density thresholds are independent of for short irradiation times and asymptotically approach a limiting behaviour which increases as for long times. They are given by the empirical relationE 0=65[1+217/tan–1(258)1/2] J cm–2 for 1.06m radiation. The thresholds at short irradiation times of detectors damaged by 1.06m radiation are about 25 times larger than those of detectors exposed to 0.6943m radiation. The greater susceptibility at 0.6943m is attributed to a larger optical absorption coefficient.  相似文献

The method of complex angular moments is used to analyze the experimental data on the inelastic reactions p ()K, taking into account branch cuts in the j-plane in the eikonal approximation. An optical model for the backward scattering is considered. Agreement with experiment is obtained in the region of small angles for the reactions (0)K0. In this paper we present the results of a search for the charmed strange baryon c + in the final states 0++K and ++. The experiment was performed using the magnetic spectrometer BIS-2 with a hydrogen target located in the neutron beam of the Serpukhov accelerator. A narrow peak in the 0++K state is observed at a mass of 2440 and possibly also of 2310 MeV/c2, corresponding to signals for the c + 0++K and c + 0++K (0 0) decays respectively. A mathematical formulation is proposed for the general law of thermodynamics in the form of relations defining the concept of thermodynamic time and the criterion of stable equilibrium. It is hypothesized that an implicit function F(, , , , ... (n))=0 associates the thermodynamic time and the potential of the nonequilibrium state. The applicability of (K ,) - and (K , N)-reactions on13,14C and14,15N nuclei to the study of -transitions in primary and daughter -hypernuclei is discussed. The intensity of -deexcitation of 13C state |S 12C(15·11 MeV; 1+1): 1/2+ has been shown to be comparable with the intensity of baryon decay. An intense and monochromatic laser beam consisting of more than 40 vibrational and rotational lines is generated by the stimulated Raman effect, when two-color laser beams separated by 590 cm–1 are tightly focused into pressurized hydrogen. This phenomenon is reasonably explained by four-wave mixing; one beam is used for two-step excitation (1+1) to an imaginary level and another beam (2) acts as a seed beam, generating a fourth beam (212). Through cascade processes, so many laser emissions appear with a frequency difference of (12) in entire ultraviolet and visible regions.  相似文献

A heuristic model for deriving the anomalous magnetic moment of the electron is presented. A term /2 – 0.327(/)2 is deduced, in better agreement with experiment than is the QED derivation of /2 – 0.328(/)2. We consider gradient systems of infinitely many particles in one-dimensional space interacting via a positive invariant pair potential with a hard core. The main assumption is that is strictly convex within the rangeR of (whereR is a fixed number ). Under some technical conditions we prove the following theorems: Let the initial distribution be given by a translation invariant point process onR 1. Slow production via dd-CF using a two-layer arrangement is investigated. To determine its feasibility, experimental measurements are now in progress using the muonic X-ray detection method. The following experimental steps are being considered: (1) measurement of the number of stopped inside a solid H2/D2 layer by detecting p K X-rays, (2) hot d emission detection by placing a secondary target at a distance of 10–30 mm from the layer and by detecting specific delayed X-rays, (3) measurement of the disappearance of d emission as the added D2 layer is increased, (4) dd-CF measurement by detecting fusion protons, and (5) slow emission detection. A narrowband far-infrared laser on intersubband transitions of hot holes was constructed and investigated. Two methods were used: mode selection due to intercavity Fabry-Perot resonator and selection of a narrow spectral lasing region by special multilayer mirror. The emission spectra of the laser were determined. The radiation bandwidth measured was 0.2 cm-1 as compared with 15–30 cm-1 for nonselective resonator. Lasing with selective resonator could occur at any two wavelengths in the ranges 80–120 and 150–200 m. The wavelength was modified by altering electric and magnetic fields. The radiation power was about 10 W and of the same kind as that of a laser without a mode selector. The narrowband laser was used in investigation of CR of electrons in n-InSb.  相似文献

The damage left by high-current-density, 9 A/cm2, implants of 120 keV phosphorus into 100 and 111 silicon oriented substrates was investigated as a function of the fluence in the range 4×1015–1.5×1016/cm2. The samples were analyzed by 2 MeV He+ channeling and transmission electron microscopy. Initially a buried amorphous layer forms at low fluences until the wafer temperature saturates at 450 °C at a fluence of 4.5×1015/cm2. As the fluence is further increased ion-assisted regrowth of this initial buried amorphous layer takes place and is 2 to 2.5 times faster (with respect to ion fluence) for 100 substrates than for 111 substrates. At higher fluences, most of the residual damage is located at a depth equal to the sum of the projected range and of the straggling. In the regrown layers twins are found in both orientations, and in some cases a hexagonal silicon phase is present at high fluences. The results are compared with the ion assisted regrowth of amorphous layers at well defined temperatures in the 250°–400 °C range.  相似文献

The critical dynamics of the Syozi model for dilute ferromagnetism is considered by the use of master equations. The dynamics is soluble as it is assumed that the time scale of motion on the sublattice on which the impurities move is so much faster than on the other sublattice that fast relaxing variables may be adiabatically eliminated, leaving a new soluble master equation. It is found that the linear and non-linear relaxation of magnetization exponents (l) and (nl) increase on dilution to (l)/(1–) and (nl)/(1–) respectively ( is the specific heat exponent for the pure system, which itself changes on dilution to –/(1–)). Thus if the exponents for the pure system obey the scaling law of Rácz and Fisher (nl)= (l)– ( is the magnetization exponent which changes on dilution to /(1–)) then so do the exponents for the diluted system. Similarly the exponent for spin diffusion changes on dilution to /(1–).  相似文献

Nucleon polarizations are examined in the hypernucleus decays5He, 4He + p + ,4H, 3H + p + , and4H, 3He + n + . The effect of the strong interaction in the final state is taken into account. A significant role is predicted for the resonance interaction in the p-4He system in the formation of the proton polarization in the5He decay. An expression for the decay rate (0 ) has been derived in the frameworkof the spinor strong interaction theory, a first-principles strong interaction theoryproposed some years ago as an alternative to low-energy QCD. The startingpoint is the SO(3) gauge-invariant action for two quark mesons which has beensuccessful in accounting for confinement, + + , e+, and 0 e+, nonexistenceof the Higgs boson, and other low-energy mesonic phenomena. The quasi-four-quarkmeson equations developed for the decay of a vector meson into twopseudoscalar mesons V PP has been taken over here to apply to P(0) VV(+ ) (plus + and which annihilate each other). This mechanismin principle agrees with that of the assumption of vector meson dominance inthe literature. It, together with the effect of form factors, arises naturally in theformalism and need not be assumed. Equations for the perturbed vector mesonwave functions cannot be simply solved and an assumption has been made toobtain an estimate of their magnitude. Together with a constant associated withthe strong coupling obtained earlier from V() PP(K+K), the estimated decayrate is 19.2 eV, in order-of-magnitude agreement with data (7.74 eV).  相似文献

We present measurement results and spatial-spectrum shapes of the dependence of the relaxation time on the scale across the geomagnetic field for artificial ionospheric irregularities (AIIs) induced in the upper ionosphere by powerful HF radiation of the SURA heating facility. The irregularity diagnostics was based on observing amplitude scintillations of a 243-MHz beacon signal from a quasi-geostationary, solar-synchronous satellite and on measuring field-aligned scattering at frequencies 15 and 20 MHz. The satellite signal was received at the Kazan State University Observatory. The field-aligned scattering signals were received and analyzed by a bistatic HF radar based on the UTR-2 radio telescope located near Kharkov (Ukraine). It is shown that irregularities of the electron density, whose two-dimensional spectrum in the plane perpendicular to the geomagnetic field is the power law æ -p with index p2, are developed in the scale range 30–60 l 200–400 m. In this case, the relative fluctuations (N2)1/2 of the electron density increase with decreasing scale l=2/æ. The estimate N2)1/2 1–1.5% is obtained for a heating power of 150 MW and irregularity scales l 30–60 m at which the fluctuations are maximum. The measured dependence of the AII relaxation time, defined as the e-folding time of the amplitude-scintillation intensity, has the form r l . If l 30–60 m, then the index is close to 2, whereas the effective diffusion coefficient D (2–3)· 10-1 m2/s corresponds to the ambipolar cross-field diffusion coefficient in a magnetized plasma. The time r for scales l 60–100 m is independent of l and increases with decreasing velocity of regular drift of the plasma. The Doppler-spectrum broadening (2)1/2 0.6 Hz observed when receiving field-aligned scattered signals can be related to chaotic motions of plasma-density disturbances whose random drift velocities amount to (v2)1/2 2–3 m/s for scales l 20 m at which the power-law index changes drastically.  相似文献

From analysis of anisotropical lattice bands properties of 50 reflection spectra both of the CO stretching and bending bands measured from some pearl (Ca++CO 3 –– or Ca++HCO 3 –– layer) we discussed following subjects.i) Quantized properties present both in reflectivity and in energy. ii) classifications of the Optical Activity. iii) Polar distributions of the CO3 oscillators in Ca++CO 3 –– surface mono-layer. iv) Force constants of these oscillators. v) Step variation of the dipolemoment and their influences to the degree of Optical Activity. vi) Two types of hysteresis loops of the values of YN (M2Jbend ()/M1Jstret.
