In view of second-order coherence theory, the generalized diffractive axicon illuminated by partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams is analyzed. An analytical equation for focal depth of axicon without aperture illuminated by spatial partially coherent GSM beam is derived. We showed that the off-axis images can be evaluated by using the method of stationary phase at any correlation state, hence we demonstrated that the intensity distribution of diffracted beam is a superposition of Bessel Beams of various orders. We also showed that the diffracted beam is nondiffractive only on the boundaries of the focal depth.  相似文献

By use of a tensor method, analytical transform formulae for isotropic partially polarized GSM beams propagating in anomalously dispersive media are derived. Based on the derived formula, the propagation properties of isotropic partially polarized GSM beams in anomalously dispersive media are studied in detail. The results show that the polarization and the irradiance distribution and the coherence degree properties are influenced by the anomalously dispersive media and beam's initial coherence. In addition, the evolution of the spectrum shows that spectrum splitting and spectral shift occur during propagation in anomalously dispersive media.  相似文献

Starting from the propagation law of partially coherent light, a closed-form expression for the spectrum of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams propagating through an astigmatic lens is derived, which enables us to study the dependence of spectral shift of GSM beams on the astigmatism of the lens and spatial coherence of GSM beams both analytically and numerically. A comparison with the aberration-free case is made, and shows that the astigmatism affects the spectral behavior of GSM beams. Two special cases of the full coherence and incoherence are discussed and illustrated physically.  相似文献

对啁啾高斯脉冲光束在色散介质中的时间和光谱特性作了研究.给出了远场光谱蓝移和脉冲展宽的解析式.结果表明:通过选择适当的啁啾参量,啁啾高斯脉冲光束沿轴上传输色散长度时,脉冲可恢复到初始值.随啁啾参量增加,谱线宽度展宽,轴上光谱蓝移增加,在远场蓝移趋于一渐近值.随啁啾参量增加,离轴光谱红移增加.  相似文献

This work investigates the joint effects of jet engine exhaust-induced turbulence and atmospheric turbulence on the propagation of a partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model Array (GSMA) vortex beam. Using the two-process propagation method, analytical formulae are derived for the cross-spectral density, spectral density, degree of coherence, and beam width of the considered beam. The results show that the considered beam takes different shapes; when the spatial coherence is large, the spectral density of the GSMA vortex beam takes an elliptical shape, whereas when the spatial coherence is smaller, the spectral density remains a Gaussian shape. The evolution profile of the degree of coherence weakens gradually when the propagation distance, topological charge, and turbulence strength increase. Moreover, the profile of the degree of coherence takes the Gaussian profile when the propagation distance is longer or turbulence atmospheric is stronger. Furthermore, the results reveal that the corresponding beam spreads faster with a larger propagation distance, lower spatial coherence, and high-strength turbulence. This study also concludes from the results that the beam is affected more when its propagation is near the jet engine exhaust, which means that this latter has a significant impact.  相似文献

Using statistical approach the author has solved the equations for the mutual coherence function of partially coherent Gaussian laser beams in graded-index fibres. The expressions for the complex degree of coherence and the intensity distribution have also been shown that the self-focusing length inside the fibre depends upon the degree of coherence. The behaviour of a Gaussian Schell-model beam at a spherical boundary is investigated in detail, and transformation laws for its propagation parameters are obtained. These laws are used to extend the classic ABCD-matrix method into the context of partially coherent beams. The matrix formalism is useful in designing and analysing real optical systems, which consist of spherical boundaries and uniform media of finite thickness. Explicit relations are derived that couple the input and output beam parameters in general optical systems of that type. The closed-form imaging equations ensuing for a single thin lens are discussed as an illustrative example.  相似文献

Based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle, the spectrum of Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere is derived analytically. It is shown that, if the scaling law is valid, the normalized spectrum S(ω) of GSM beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere is the same as the normalized source spectrum S(0)(ω), whether GSM source is quasi-homogenous or not. On the other hand, if the scaling law fails, S(ω) of GSM is different from S(0)(ω). The structure constant of the refractive index, transverse coordinate of observation point and spatial correlation length of the source affect the spectrum, which is illustrated numerically.  相似文献

Optical time stretch imaging (OTSI), providing the capability of capturing the dynamics of fast single-shot or random events, overcomes the fundamental trade-off between imaging speed and sensitivity in ultrafast imaging regions. Lying at the heart of the OTSI is dispersive Fourier transformation, being capable of using large chromatic dispersion to map the spectrum of a broadband ultrashort optical pulse into a stretched time-domain waveform. Dispersive grating pair (DGP) is a unique solution to generate large chromatic dispersion for dispersive Fourier transformation at the wavebands, in which dispersion compensation fibers commonly suffer from high dispersion-to-loss ratio. Here we characterize the performances of DGP-based OTSI modality and analyze the crucial parameters that strongly impact on the temporal as well as spatial resolutions, and further discuss its merits and challenges. Our results demonstrate DGP-based OTSI, allowing creation of high resolution images, is an effective modality compared to fiber-based OTSI.  相似文献

Propagation properties of spatially pseudo-partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model beams through the atmo- spheric turbulence over a long-distance uplink path are studied by numerical simulation. A linear coordination trans-formation is introduced to overcome the window effect and the loss-of-resolution problem. The beam spreading, beam wandering, and intensity scintillation as functions of turbulence strength, source correlation length, and change frequency of random phase that models the partial coherence of the source are analyzed. It is found that the beam spreading and the intensity scintillation of the partially coherent beam are less affected by the turbulence than those of the coherent one, but it suffers from a more severe diffractive effect, and the change frequency of random phase has no evident influence on it. The beam wandering is insensitive to the variation of source correlation length, and decreases firstly then goes to a fixed value as the change frequency increases.  相似文献

研究湍流对海水光通信信道中传输的量子高斯-谢尔光束偏振度的影响.运用量子化场的惠更斯-菲涅尔原理,构建湍流海水中量子化高斯谢尔光束的产生和湮灭算符.基于海水折射率的空间功率谱,导出了量子高斯-谢尔光束的偏振度.数值结果表明:在参数给定条件下,温度与盐度的比值从-4.5变化到-0.5时,偏振度从0.75下降到0.20;接收光子数从20提高到50时,偏振度从0.91提高到0.96;光源横向尺寸从0.02m增大到0.12 m时,偏振度从0.82提高到0.97;温度起伏对偏振度的影响高于盐度起伏的影响;提高发射光子数和增大发射孔径是扼制湍流干扰的有效方法.  相似文献

An object consisting of small inhomogeneities embedded in a highly scattering solution was imaged using measurements of the time-resolved transmitted intensity of picosecond pulses of near-infrared light. Data acquisition involved translating the object in two orthogonal directions across the beam, and recording the temporal distribution of transmitted light at a series of discrete positions. Images were constructed from the total transmitted light, the first four moments of the temporal distribution, and from parameters derived from a comparison of the distribution with an analytical model, based on the diffusion approximation to the radiative transfer theory. The results show that the optical properties along a line-of-sight between source and detector influence some of these characteristics more than others.  相似文献

Based on the paraxial approximation of the beams propagation in communication system, the square approximation of the wave structure function, the Zernike polynomial expansion of the non-Kolmogorov atmospheric turbulence-aberration and the assumption of the signal photon propagation in slant Zernike tilt corrected turbulence-channel, we analyze the effect of the multi-beam on entangled orbital angular momentum states. The joint detection probability of orbital angular momentum state entangled photons is modeled. Our work shows that the correction of the Zernike tilt aberration by adaptive optics is a method to improve the joint detection probability of orbital angular momentum state entangled photons. The crosstalk probability of the entangled orbital angular momentum states decreases as increasing of the degree of the spatial coherence of the partially coherent source and the beamlet number of the multil-Laguerre Gaussian Schell model beams.  相似文献

理论分析和实验研究了光源相干度对其产生的Bessel光最大无衍射距离的影响.以He-Ne激光器为光源,用旋转毛玻璃法产生部分相干光,经过扩束后再用轴棱锥法产生Bessel光束.通过移动旋转毛玻璃改变部分相干光的相干度,测量其产生的Bessel光束的最大无衍射距离,得到光源相干度与产生Bessel光束最大无衍射距离的关系.结果表明,随着光源相干度的降低,Bessel光束最大无衍射距离明显变短,当相干度g≈1下降为g=0.8时,最大无衍射距离缩短了一半.用高斯-谢尔模型进行分析和模拟,理论模拟结果与实验观察结果基本吻合.  相似文献

Based on the extended Huygens-Fresnel principle, the spectrum of twist anisotropic Gaussian Schell-model (TAGSM) beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere is derived analytically by using the partially coherent complex curvature tensor. The relative spectral shift of TAGSM beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere is closely related with the strength of atmospheric turbulence, the beam’s parameter and the radial coordinate. The on-axis spectral shift of TAGSM beams propagating through turbulent atmosphere changes from blue shift to red shift with the increasing of the propagation distance z, and at a certain propagation distance z, there exists a rapid transition of the spectrum at the critical position rc.  相似文献

穿过大气湍流的高斯激光脉冲在时间域的展宽行为与高斯脉冲通过理想高斯滤波器后的时域展宽行为相似。因此,为了激光通信信道仿真的需要,提出用级联巴特沃斯滤波器来逼近理想高斯滤波器的方法对这种时间域上的展宽行为进行建模。逼近后的高斯滤波器的3dB频率点与大气湍流的物理参数(包括折射率结构常数和湍流外尺度)和传播几何路径长度联系在一起,从而将高斯脉冲的展宽与所通过的大气湍流环境参数相结合并得到了模拟高斯脉冲展宽的解析表达式。该模型和由模型参数表示的高斯脉冲展宽的解析表达式不仅在湍流弱起伏区有效,而且在从弱起伏到中等起伏再到强起伏的整个区域中都有效。  相似文献
