This paper deals with the brake orbits of Hamiltonian system on given energy hypersurfaces Σ = H −1(1). We introduce a class of contact type but not necessarily star-shaped hypersurfaces in ℝ2n and call them normalized positive-type hypersurfaces. By using of the critical point theory, we prove that if Σ is a partially symmetric normalized positive-type hypersurface, it must carries a brake orbit of (HS). Furthermore, we obtain some multiplicity results under certain pinching conditions. Our results include the earlier works on this subject given by P. Rabinowitz and A. Szulkin in star-shaped case. An example of partially symmetric normalized positive-type hypersurface in ℝ4 that is not star-shaped is also presented Partially supported by NNSF of China (10571085) and Science Foundation of Hohai University.  相似文献

A classical nonlinear equation on a complete Riemannian manifold is considered. The existence of solutions connecting any two points is studied, i.e., for T>0 the critical points of the functional with x(0)=x0,x(T)=x1. When the potential V has a subquadratic growth with respect to x, JT admits a minimum critical point for any T>0 (infinitely many critical points if the topology of is not trivial). When V has an at most quadratic growth, i.e., , this property does not hold, but an optimal arrival time T(λ)>0 exists such that, if 0<T<T(λ), any pair of points in can be joined by a critical point of the corresponding functional. For the existence and multiplicity results, variational methods and Ljusternik-Schnirelman theory are used. The optimal value is fulfilled by the harmonic oscillator. These ideas work for other related problems.  相似文献

On the setting of general bounded smooth domains in , we construct L1-bounded nonorthogonal projections and obtain related reproducing formulas for the harmonic Bergman spaces. In addition, we show that those projections satisfy Sobolev Lp-estimates of any order even for p=1. Among applications are Gleason's problems for the harmonic Bergman-Sobolev and (little) Bloch functions on star-shaped domains with strong reference points.  相似文献

Let Γ be a countable locally finite graph and let H(Γ) and H+(Γ) denote the homeomorphism group of Γ with the compact-open topology and its identity component. These groups can be embedded into the space of all closed sets of Γ×Γ with the Fell topology, which is compact. Taking closure, we have natural compactifications and . In this paper, we completely determine the topological type of the pair and give a necessary and sufficient condition for this pair to be a (Q,s)-manifold. The pair is also considered for simple examples, and in particular, we find that has homotopy type of RP3. In this investigation we point out a certain inaccuracy in Sakai-Uehara's preceding results on for finite graphs Γ.  相似文献

We construct n-dimensional counterparts of manifolds modeled on the space ?2 equipped by the bounded weak topology (-manifolds). For -manifolds we prove the characterization, triangulation and classification theorems. In addition, a universal map of onto Q (the countable direct limit of Hilbert cubes and Z-embeddings) is constructed and characterized.  相似文献

Let K be a number field, an algebraic closure of K and E/K an elliptic curve defined over K. Let GK be the absolute Galois group of over K. This paper proves that there is a subset Σ⊆GK of Haar measure 1 such that for every σ∈Σ, the spectrum of σ in the natural representation of GK consists of all roots of unity, each of infinite multiplicity. Also, this paper proves that any complex conjugation automorphism in GK has the eigenvalue -1 with infinite multiplicity in the representation space of GK.  相似文献

Let MCn be a complex n-dimensional Hermitian symmetric space endowed with the hyperbolic form ωhyp. Denote by (M,ωFS) the compact dual of (M,ωhyp), where ωFS is the Fubini-Study form on M. Our first result is Theorem 1.1 where, with the aid of the theory of Jordan triple systems, we construct an explicit symplectic duality, namely a diffeomorphism satisfying and for the pull-back of ΨM, where ω0 is the restriction to M of the flat Kähler form of the Hermitian positive Jordan triple system associated to M. Amongst other properties of the map ΨM, we also show that it takes (complete) complex and totally geodesic submanifolds of M through the origin to complex linear subspaces of Cn. As a byproduct of the proof of Theorem 1.1 we get an interesting characterization (Theorem 5.3) of the Bergman form of a Hermitian symmetric space in terms of its restriction to classical complex and totally geodesic submanifolds passing through the origin.  相似文献

Let be a smooth function such that f(0)=0. We give a condition J(id) on f when for arbitrary preserving orientation diffeomorphism such that ?(0)=0 the function ?f is right equivalent to f, i.e. there exists a diffeomorphism such that ?f=fh at 0∈Rm. The requirement is that f belongs to its Jacobi ideal. This property is rather general: it is invariant with respect to the stable equivalence of singularities, and holds for non-degenerated, simple, and many other singularities. We also globalize this result as follows. Let M be a smooth compact manifold, a surjective smooth function, DM the group of diffeomorphisms of M, and the group of diffeomorphisms of R that have compact support and leave [0,1] invariant. There are two natural right and left-right actions of DM and on C(M,R). Let SM(f), SMR(f), OM(f), and OMR(f) be the corresponding stabilizers and orbits of f with respect to these actions. We prove that if f satisfies J(id) at each critical point and has additional mild properties, then the following homotopy equivalences hold: SM(f)≈SMR(f) and OM(f)≈OMR(f). Similar results are obtained for smooth mappings MS1.  相似文献

Recently, Novikov found a new integrable equation (we call it the Novikov equation in this paper), which has nonlinear terms that are cubic, rather than quadratic, and admits peaked soliton solutions (peakons). Firstly, we prove that the Cauchy problem for the Novikov equation is locally well-posed in the Besov spaces (which generalize the Sobolev spaces Hs) with the critical index . Then, well-posedness in Hs with , is also established by applying Kato's semigroup theory. Finally, we present two results on the persistence properties of the strong solution for the Novikov equation.  相似文献
