We study information packet routing processes on scale-free networks by mimicking the Internet traffic delivery strategies. We incorporate both the global network structure information and local queuing information in the dynamic processes. We propose several new routing strategies to guide the packet routing. The performance of the routing strategies is measured by the average transit time of the packets as well as their dependence on the traffic amount. We find that the routing strategies which integrate both global network structure information and local dynamic information perform much better than the traditional shortest-path routing protocol which takes into account only the global topological information. Moreover, from comparative studies of these routing strategies, we observe that some of our proposed methods can decrease the average transit time of packets but the performance is closely dependent on the total amount of traffic while some other proposed methods can have good performance independent of the total amount of traffic with hyper-excellent average transit time of packets. Also, numerical results show that our proposed methods integrating network structure information and local dynamic information can work much better than the methods recently proposed in [S. Sreenivasan, R. Cohen, E. López, Z. Toroczkai, H.E. Stanley, Phys. Rev. E 75 (2007) 036105, Zhi-Xi Wu, Gang Peng, Eric W.M. Wong, Kai-Hau Yeung, J. Stat. Mech. In this paper, an optimal routing strategy is proposed to enhance the traffic capacity of complex networks. In order to avoid nodes overloading, the new algorithm is derived on the basis of generalized betweenness centrality which gives an estimate of traffic handled by the node for a route set. Since the nodes with large betweenness centrality are more susceptible to traffic congestion, the traffic can be improved, as our strategy, by redistributing traffic load from nodes with large betweenness centrality to nodes with small betweenness centrality in the proceeding of computing collective routing table. Particularly, depending on a parameter that controls the optimization scale, the new routing can not only enlarge traffic capacity of networks more, but also enhance traffic efficiency with smaller average path length. Comparing results of previous routing strategies, it is shown that the present improved routing performs more effectively.  相似文献

现有研究表明明显的社团结构会显著降低网络的传输性能. 本文基于网络邻接矩阵的特征谱定义了链路对网络社团特性的贡献度, 提出一种通过逻辑关闭或删除对网络社团特性贡献度大的链路以提高网络传输性能的拓扑管理策略, 即社团弱化控制策略(CWCS 策略). 在具有社团结构的无标度网络上分别进行了基于全局最短路径路由和局部路由的仿真实验, 并与关闭连接度大的节点之间链路的HDF 策略进行了比较. 仿真实验结果显示, 在全局最短路径路由策略下, CWCS策略能更有效地提高网络负载容量, 并且网络的平均传输时间增加的幅度变小. 在局部路由策略下, 当调控参数0<α<2, 对网络负载容量的提升优于HDF策略. 关键词: 复杂网络 社团特性 负载容量 拓扑管理  相似文献

We present a comparative study of the application of a recently introduced heuristic algorithm to the optimization of transport on three major types of complex networks. The algorithm balances network traffic iteratively by minimizing the maximum node betweenness with as little path lengthening as possible. We show that by using this optimal routing, a network can sustain significantly higher traffic without jamming than in the case of shortest path routing. A formula is proved and tested with numerical simulation that allows quick computation of the average number of hops along the path and of the average travel times once the betweennesses of the nodes are computed. Using this formula, we show that routing optimization preserves the small-world character exhibited by networks under shortest path routing, and that it significantly reduces the average travel time on congested networks with only a negligible increase in the average travel time at low loads. Finally, we study the correlation between the weights of the links in the case of optimal routing and the betweennesses of the nodes connected by them.  相似文献

提出了一种能够显著提高无标度复杂网络负载传输性能的优化路由策略.实现了负载在核心节点与边缘节点间的合理分配.分析表明该策略使得网络的负载处理能力正比于网络规模的平方,而与单个节点的度值无关.实验结果显示优化路由策略在保持了最短路由策略小世界效应的同时,成倍地提升了网络的负载传输能力,且随着网络平均节点度的增加其优势越趋显著.此外,与有效路由策略的比较进一步验证了优化路由策略的优异性能. 关键词: 优化路由策略 复杂网络 负载传输 网络阻塞  相似文献

By incorporating local traffic information into the shortest path routing strategy, we numerically investigate the effectiveness of the traffic awareness routing strategy for scale-free networks with different clustering. In order to characterize the efficiency of the packet-delivery process, we introduce an order parameter and an average transmission time that allow us to measure the network capacity by the critical value of phase transition from free flow to congestion. Compared with the shortest path routing protocol, the network capacity is greatly enhanced by the traffic awareness routing strategy. We also find that there exists an optimum value for the tunable parameter in the congestion awareness strategy. Moreover, simulation results show that the more clustered the network, the less efficient the packet-delivery process.  相似文献

对波分复用(Wavelength Division Multiplexing,WDM)网状网中的动态域间流量疏导问题进行了深入研究.在源路由模式下,提出了一种基于固定备选路由方式的动态域间流量疏导算法,并在其基础上提出了只考虑波长均衡和同时考虑波长均衡与业务均衡的改进方法.该算法可以有效地避免路由环,得到较低的阻塞率,节省全网的收发器数目和波长资源.仿真结果表明,这种算法可以有效地改善网络性能.  相似文献

We study the information traffic in scale-free networks where the information generation rate varies with time as a periodic function. We observe that when the fluctuation in packet generation rate increases, the average transit time increases and network performance degrades. In order to improve the transportation efficiency in this situation, we propose a new routing method called mixed routing. It operates in two modes: (1) when the packet generation rate is small, the shortest paths are used to deliver the packets to the destination; (2) when the packet generation rate is large, the traffic loads in central nodes are redistributed to other non-central nodes, using the so-called efficient routing method. We find that the time shifting between the two modes is very critical for the routing performance. Consequently, we provide an efficient method to determine the critical times to shift the routing modes for achieving good network performance.  相似文献

This paper presents a new routing strategy by introducing a tunable parameter into the minimum information path routing strategy we proposed previously.It is found that network transmission capacity can be considerably enhanced by adjusting the parameter with various allocations of node capability for packet delivery.Moreover,the proposed routing strategy provides a traffic load distribution which can better match the allocation of node capability than that of traditional efficient routing strategies,leading to a network with improved transmission performance.This routing strategy,without deviating from the shortest-path routing strategy in the length of paths too much,produces improved performance indexes such as critical generating rate,average length of paths and average search information.  相似文献

在对随机行走过程的研究中发现:单个粒子通过某条特定路径的时间正比于该路径上所有节点度的连乘积.据此,文章提出基于随机行走机理的优化路由改进策略.该策略以节点度连乘积最小化为原则,通过调节可变参数,建立节点处理能力均匀分布的情况下最佳路由策略.通过分析比较不同路由策略条件下平均路由介数中心度,网络的临界负载量,平均路径长度以及平均搜索信息量等性能指标,研究结果表明,此改进路由策略在保证网络平均路径长度较少增加的前提下,使网络的传输能力获得最大幅度的提升. 关键词: 复杂网络 路由策略 负载传输  相似文献

This study proposes a probability routing strategy for improving traffic capability on scale-free networks. Compared with the shortest path routing strategy depending on central nodes largely and the efficient routing strategy avoiding hub routers as much as possible, the probability routing strategy makes use of hub routers more efficiently, transferring approximate average amount of packs of the whole network. Simulation results indicate that the probability routing strategy has the highest network capacity among the three routing strategies. This strategy provides network capacity that can be more than 30 times higher than that of the shortest path routing strategy and over 50% higher than that of the efficient routing strategy. In addition, the average routing path length of our proposed strategy is over 10% shorter than that of the efficient routing strategy and only about 10% longer than that of the shortest path routing strategy.  相似文献

This paper aims to present a simulation model for heterogeneous high-speed train traffic Row based on an improved discrete-time model(IDTM).In the proposed simulation model,four train control strategies,including departing strategy,traveling strategy,braking strategy,overtaking strategy,are well defined to optimize train movements.Based on the proposed simulation model,some characteristics of train traffic Bow are investigated.Numerical results indicate that the departure time intervals,the station dwell time,the section length,and the ratio of fast trains have different influence on traffic capacity and train average velocity.The results can provide some theoretical support for the strategy making of railway departments.  相似文献

The most important function of a network is for transporting traffic. Due to the low traffic capacity of network systems under the global shortest path routing, plenty of heuristic routing strategies are emerging. In this paper, we propose a heuristic routing strategy called the incremental routing algorithm to improve the traffic capacity of complex networks. We divide the routing process into NN(the network size) steps and, at each step, we heuristically calculate all the routes for one source node considering both the dynamic efficient betweenness centrality and node degree information. We do extensive simulations on scale-free networks to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed incremental routing strategy. The simulation results show that the traffic capacity has been enhanced by a substantial factor at the expense of a slight lengthening in the average path.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new routing strategy based on the minimum information path, named the optimal routing (OR) strategy, to improve the transportation capacity of scale-free networks. We define the average routing centrality degree of the node to analyze the traffic load on nodes of different degree. We analyze the transportation capacity by using the critical values of Rc, the average packet travel time, and the average path length. Both theoretical and experimental results show that the capacity of the network under our strategy will be maximized when the packet-delivery rate of the node is directly proportional to the degree.  相似文献

Many real communication networks, such as oceanic monitoring network and land environment observation network,can be described as space stereo multi-layer structure, and the traffic in these networks is concurrent. Understanding how traffic dynamics depend on these real communication networks and finding an effective routing strategy that can fit the circumstance of traffic concurrency and enhance the network performance are necessary. In this light, we propose a traffic model for space stereo multi-layer complex network and introduce two kinds of global forward-predicting dynamic routing strategies, global forward-predicting hybrid minimum queue(HMQ) routing strategy and global forward-predicting hybrid minimum degree and queue(HMDQ) routing strategy, for traffic concurrency space stereo multi-layer scale-free networks. By applying forward-predicting strategy, the proposed routing strategies achieve better performances in traffic concurrency space stereo multi-layer scale-free networks. Compared with the efficient routing strategy and global dynamic routing strategy, HMDQ and HMQ routing strategies can optimize the traffic distribution, alleviate the number of congested packets effectively and reach much higher network capacity.  相似文献

In this paper, we focus on the search ability of Brownian particles with an adaptive mechanism. In the adaptive mechanism, nodes are allowed to be able to change their own accepting probability according to their congestion states. Two searching-traffic models, the static one in which nodes have fixed accepting probability to the incoming particles and the adaptive one in which nodes have adaptive accepting probability to the incoming particles are presented for testing the adaptive mechanism. Instead of number of hops, we use the traveling time, which includes not only the number of hops for a particle to jump from the source node to the destination but also the time that the particle stays in the queues of nodes, to evaluate the search ability of Brownian particles. We apply two models to different networks. The experiment results show that the adaptive mechanism can decrease the network congestion and the traveling time of the first arriving particle. Furthermore, we investigate the influence of network topologies on the congestion of networks by addressing several main properties: degree distribution, average path length, and clustering coefficient. We show the reason why random topologies are more able to deal with congested traffic states than others. We also propose an absorption strategy to deal with the additional Brownian particles in networks. The experiment results on Barabási–Albert (BA) scale-free networks show that the absorption strategy can increase the probability of a successful search and decrease the average per-node particles overhead for our models.  相似文献

In this Letter, the bandwidth resource allocation strategy is considered for traffic systems of complex networks. With a finite resource of bandwidth, an allocation strategy with preference parameter α is proposed considering the links importance. The performance of bandwidth allocation strategy is studied for the local routing protocol and the shortest path protocol. When important links are slightly favored in the bandwidth allocation, the system can achieve the optimal traffic performance for the two routing protocols. For the shortest path protocol, we also give a method to estimate the network traffic capacity theoretically.  相似文献

In this paper, an improved routing strategy is proposed for enhancing the traffic capacity of scale-free networks. Instead of using the information of degree and betweenness centrality, the new algorithm is derived on the basis of the expanding betweenness centrality of nodes, which gives an estimate of the traffic handled by the vertex for a certain route set. Since the nodes with large betweenness centrality are more susceptible to traffic congestion, the traffic can be improved by redistributing traffic loads from nodes with large betweenness centrality to nodes with small betweenness centrality in the process of computing the collective routing table. Comparing with results of previous routing strategies, it is shown that the present improved routing performs more effectively.  相似文献

The community structure has been empirically found in many real networks. This paper proposes an efficient Double Shortest Path routing strategy trying to avoid the modules of traffic congestion, which means that we adopt the shortest routing strategy both in the inter-modules and in the intra-module. Simulations show that this routing algorithm is superior to the traditional shortest path routing protocol with appropriate selection of the tunable parameters. In addition, this algorithm can also be improved by integrating it with several alternative routing strategies.  相似文献
