Planar chiral dianthranilide (1) was resolved to enantiomers with use of (-)-(1S,4R)-camphanoyl chloride as a chiral derivatizing agent. The (+)-1 enantiomer was assigned the S absolute configuration from the X-ray crystal structure of its N,N'-dicamphanoyl derivative. Optical resolution of dithionodianthranilide (2) was accomplished by inclusion crystallization with (R,R)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane, and the X-ray structure of the corresponding adduct revealed the (-)-2stereoisomer has the R configuration. A slow boat-to-boat ring inversion (DeltaG(++) = 24.1 +/- 0.1 kcal mol(-1)) causes racemization of (+)-1 in solution as manifested by a gradual decrease of the CD spectrum whereas, (-)-2 is configurationally stable at these conditions. The analysis of the CD spectra of the title compounds showed that the n-pi* Cotton effect signs are determined by the helicity of the skewed benzamide and thiobenzamide chromophores. The solid-state structures of the racemic and homochiral forms of 1 and 2 show different self-assembly patterns: the racemate (+/-)-1 prefers the cyclic R(2)(2)(8) hydrogen bond motif, whereas the crystalline DMSO solvates of (+/-)-1 and (+)-1 consist of 1D homochiral hydrogen-bonded assemblies generated by the C(6) motif. In the case of dithionolactams (+/-)-2 and (-)-2 two types of 1D networks were observed: in the racemate they are generated by the centrosymmetric R(2)(2)(8) and R(2)(2)(12) hydrogen bond motifs, whereas the molecules in the homochiral crystals are connected solely with use of the strongly nonplanar R(2)(2)(8) motif.  相似文献

[formula: see text] In this contribution, we describe the ability of compound (+/-)-1b and six molecules of water to form in solid-state hexameric aggregates, which self-assemble to give hollow tubular structures. Single-crystal X-ray analysis shows that these tubes are open-ended, with irregular shape and internal van der Waals pore diameter between 6 and 9 A. In addition, transmembrane sodium transport activity was also assessed for (+/-)-1b using dynamic Na(+)-NMR technique.  相似文献

From the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of angularly condensed triazolobenzothiazine derivatives it was established that these compounds can be classified into two conformation types, depending on the substituents. The 10-methyl-3-carbethoxy derivatives are cis-anellated, conformationally flexible systems, where one of the aromatic hydrogens (H-9) and one of the methoxy substituents (8-OMe) of the benzothiazine skeleton on the one hand, and the 1-aryl ring on the other, lie close to each other in the preferred conformer. By assuming this conformation, the molecules avoid the steric hindrance of the 10-Me and 1-aryl groups. All compounds unsubstituted on the angular C-10 atom, and the 3-aryl-substituted derivatives of the 10-Me analogues, occur in a different conformation, containing the 1-aryl ring well removed from H-9 and the 8-OMe group.  相似文献

The 5-nitro-2-anthranilates of lanthanum(III), samarium(III), terbium(III), erbium(III) and lutetium(III) were obtained as hydrates having 2.5 mol of water molecules per 1 mol of compound. The compounds are isostructural. The processes of dehydration and rehydration were investigated. The first step of dehydration does not cause the change of crystal structure. The entire dehydration gives anhydrous compounds with different structure than the structure of hydrates. However, the dehydration of La, Sm, Tb and Er is reversible - the rehydration process gives the complexes having the same crystal structure as the initial compounds. Only the anhydrous lutetium complex under the influence of moisture does not give the starting compound. A new class of mesogen formed by three chain diols is described. These compounds consist of a central part to which three aliphatic chains of various length (n = 4-14) are attached at one end and two hydroxy groups at the other. X-ray scattering, dilatometric measurements, dielectric and Kerr relaxation studies were carried out. Both X-ray investigations, dielectric and electro-optic studies revealed that the molecules are aggregated in the isotropic fluid state and that hydrogen bonding and dipole correlation contribute to this aggregation. Columnar assemblies of up to several hundred molecules are orientationally correlated in the isotropic fluid phase. Correlated reorientations occur in the presence of external electric fields. The X-ray data show that the aggregates pack in a hexagonal way at lower temperatures giving a structure which strongly resembles that of the hexagonal disordered columnar phase. This anisotropic phase can be quenched to a glassy liquid-crystalline state. It is evident that the mesogenic properties of this new class of compounds are a function of the disc-like shape of the aggregates rather than the shapes of the individual molecules.  相似文献

Abstract

The cyclodextrins, cyclic oligosaccharides possessing generally 6, 7, or 8 α, 1 –4 linked glucopyranose units, are widely used for the solubilisation and transport of organic molecules in aqueous media.3 Their solubilities 145 gL?1, α-Cd; 20 gL?1, β-CD; 220 gL?1, γ-CD, are considerably lower than those of simple saccharides and in particular that of β-CD, the most widely available compound, is anomalously low. We have previously shown that the solubilities arise from symmetry determined interactions of the CDs with the dynamic hexagonal structure of water. In the case of the unmodified cyclodextrins all three compounds exist in solution as large aggregates, thus the solubility of these systems is controlled by the interactions between these hydrogen bonded aggregates and the hydrogen bonding networks present in water. In the case of α- or γ-CD there are favorable overlaps with the hexagonal water structure, however for the seven-fold symmetry of β-CD no such favorable interactions can occur between the odd symmetry element and the even symmetry elements of water. Hence the observed solubilities of α- and γ-CD are higher than that of β-CD.  相似文献

Three series of triblock polyphiles consisting of a rigid 4‐phenyl‐1,2,3‐triazole or 1,4‐diphenyl‐1,2,3‐triazole core with three lipophilic and flexible alkoxyl chains at one end and a polar glycerol group at the opposite end were synthesized by copper‐catalyzed azide–alkyne click reactions. Their mesophase behavior was studied by polarizing optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and XRD. Depending on alkyl chain length and core length, a transition from hexagonal columnar to ${{\it Pm}\bar 3n}$ ‐type cubic phases was observed. In the cubic phases, the molecules are organized as spherical objects. Remarkably, compounds with a longer core unit have a higher tendency to form these cubic phases, and their stability is strongly enhanced over those of the compounds with a shorter core, despite longer cores having a smaller cone angle and therefore being expected to disfavor the formation of spherical objects. There is a large difference in the number of molecules involved in the spherical aggregates formed by compounds with long and short cores. Whereas the aggregates in the cubic phases of the compounds with short rod units are small and could be regarded as micellar, the long‐core compounds form much larger aggregates which are regarded as a kind of monolayer vesicular aggregate.  相似文献

Two new amino acid derivatives N-(2-oxopyrrolidin-1-ylmethyl)-l-valine (PMV) and N,N-bis(2-oxopyrrolidin-1-ylmethyl)-β-alanine (PMA) were synthesized and their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The geometry and conformation of both molecular aggregates and their hydrogen bond networks are not similar. In the PMV crystal structure, PMV and the solvent water molecule are linked by O–H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds resulting in two ring motifs R1212(48) and R44(22). A three-dimensional supramolecular structure is formed by hydrogen bonds N–H⋯O between the layers. In the PMA crystal structure, each water molecule connects three PMA molecules through O–H⋯O intermolecular hydrogen bonds, and a ring motif R44(24) is formed in the structure. But there is no hydrogen bond interaction between the layers, in which van der Waals' interaction is involved only.  相似文献

Two heterocyclic compounds based on the thieno[3,4-c]thiophene structure with four aryl substituents were prepared and their behavior in electrooxidation studied. These tetraarylthieno[3,4-c]thiophenes were synthesized in three steps starting from 1,3-dibenzoylmethane in the case of 1,3,4,6-tetraphenyl-2 u 4 i 2 -thieno[3,4-c]thiophene 1a and from 1,3-bis(4'-methoxyphenyl)propane-1,3-dione in the case of 1,3,4,6-tetrakis(4'-methoxyphenyl)-2 u 4 i 2 -thieno[3,4-c]thiophene 1b , a new compound. Both cyclic and hydrodynamic voltamperometric analyses indicate two reversible one-electron oxidation stages for compound 1b , while for compound 1a only the first stage is reversible. The preparative electrooxidation of the two compounds results in the opening of one thiophene ring giving rise to n -keto-thioketones.  相似文献

设计合成了3种以丙二胺为连接臂(L)、苯环为A单元的A(LS)2型双胆固醇(S)类小分子胶凝剂: 化合物1(邻位), 化合物2(间位)和化合物3(对位), 考察了其在30种溶剂中的胶凝行为. 结果表明, 苯环取代位置的不同对化合物的胶凝性质有决定性影响. 就胶凝溶剂的数量来讲, 对位取代的化合物3的胶凝能力明显高于邻位和间位取代的化合物12. 此外, 化合物23可以形成5个室温胶凝体系, 且化合物3/二甲苯凝胶透明、柔韧,以至于可以形成超分子薄膜. 傅里叶变换红外(FTIR)光谱和核磁共振氢谱(1H NMR)研究表明, 胶凝剂分子之间的氢键和π-π堆积作用在凝胶形成过程中发挥了一定的作用. X射线衍射(XRD)研究表明在化合物1/苯凝胶中, 胶凝剂分子聚集为六方堆积结构, 进而形成贯穿整个凝胶体系的网络结构.  相似文献

A series of perylene bisimide (PBI) dyes bearing various aryl substituents in 1,6,7,12 bay positions has been synthesized by Suzuki cross-coupling reaction. These molecules exhibit an exceptionally large and conformationally fixed twist angle of the PBI π-core due to the high steric congestion imparted by the aryl substituents in bay positions. Single crystal X-ray analyses of phenyl-, naphthyl- and pyrenyl-functionalized PBIs reveal interlocked π-π-stacking motifs, leading to conformational chirality and the possibility for the isolation of enantiopure atropoisomers by semipreparative HPLC. The interlocked arrangement endows these molecules with substantial racemization barriers of about 120 kJ mol−1 for the tetraphenyl- and tetra-2-naphthyl-substituted derivatives, which is among the highest racemization barriers for axially chiral PBIs. Variable temperature NMR studies reveal the presence of a multitude of up to fourteen conformational isomers in solution that are interconverted via smaller activation barriers of about 65 kJ mol−1. The redox and optical properties of these core-twisted PBIs have been characterized by cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis/NIR and fluorescence spectroscopy and their respective atropo-enantiomers were further characterized by circular dichroism (CD) and circular polarized luminescence (CPL) spectroscopy.  相似文献

A series of conformationally restricted N-"furanosides" has been synthesized, where the carbons of the tetrahydrofuran ring are kept in one plane by a rigid norbornane skeleton, permitting only the ring oxygen to move above or below the tetrahydrofuran ring plane. This causes the substituents of the anomeric carbon to occupy a pseudoaxial or a pseudoequatorial position. On protonation of these "norbornane-furanosides" with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid, all three compounds exhibited decreasing coupling constants for the anomeric proton, indicating a shift toward the pseudoaxial conformation. The coupling constant measurements were supported by volume integration of NOESY cross-peaks, which also showed a change toward the pseudoaxial conformation upon protonation of the nitrogen. These results provide no evidence for the so-called reverse anomeric effect; on the contrary they are in full agreement with a small normal anomeric effect.  相似文献

Chiral-bridged rod molecules (CBRs) that consisted of bis(penta-p-phenylene) conjugated to an opened or closed chiral bridging group as a rigid segment and oligoether dendrons as flexible segments were synthesized and characterized. In the bulk state, both molecules self-assemble into a hexagonal columnar structure, as confirmed by X-ray scatterings and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations. Interestingly, these structures display opposite Cotton effects in the chromophore of the aromatic unit in spite of the same chirality (R,R) of the chiral bridging groups. The molecules were observed to self-assemble into cylindrical micellar aggregates in aqueous solution, as confirmed by light scattering and TEM investigations, and exhibit intense signals in the circular dichroism (CD) spectra, which are indicative of one-handed helical conformations. The CD spectra of each molecule showed opposite signals to each other, which were similar to those in the bulk. Notably, when the opened CBR was added to a solution of closed CBRs up to a certain concentration, the CD signal of the closed CBR was amplified. This implies that both molecules co-assemble into a one-handed helical structure because the opened chiral bridge is conformationally flexible, which is inverted to co-assemble with the closed CBR. These results demonstrate that small structural modifications of the chiral moiety can transfer the chiral information to a supramolecular assembly in the opposite way.  相似文献

Methylene-bridged glycoluril dimers are the fundamental building blocks of cucurbituril (CB[6]), its homologues (CB[n]), and its derivatives. This paper describes three complementary methods for the synthesis of C- and S-shaped methylene-bridged glycoluril dimers (29-34 and 37-44). For this purpose, we prepared glycoluril derivatives (1a-d) bearing diverse functionalities on their convex face. These glycoluril derivatives were alkylated under basic conditions (DMSO, t-BuOK) with 1,2-bis(halomethyl)aromatics 6-15 to yield 4a-d and 16-24, which contain a single aromatic o-xylylene ring and potentially nucleophilic ureidyl NH groups. Glycoluril derivatives bearing potentially electrophilic cyclic ether groups (5a-f) and 25-28 were prepared by various methods including condensation reactions in refluxing TFA containing paraformaldehyde. The condensation reactions of 4a-d and 16-24 with paraformaldehyde under anhydrous acidic conditions (PTSA, ClCH(2)CH(2)Cl, reflux) give, in most cases, the C-shaped and S-shaped methylene-bridged glycoluril in good to excellent yields. In many cases, the C-shaped compound is formed preferentially with high diastereoselectivity. Cyclic ethers 5a,d-f and 25-26 undergo highly diastereoselective dimerization reactions to yield methylene-bridged glycoluril dimers with the formal extrusion of formaldehyde. Last, it is possible to perform selective heterodimerization reactions using both cyclic ethers and glycoluril derivatives bearing ureidyl NH groups. These reactions deliver the desired C- and S-shaped heterodimers with low to moderate diastereoselectivities. This heterodimerization route is the method of choice in cases where the homodimerization reactions fail. The formation of side products (+/-)-35b and (+/-)-35d helps clarify the electronic requirements for a successful CB[n] synthesis. The X-ray structures of 30C, 38C, and 38S allow for a discussion of the structural features of this class of compounds.  相似文献

The structure and ion-selective properties of some 2-phosphorylphenols were studied. It was shown that, irrespective of the nature of the substituents on the benzene ring and on the phosphorus atom, these compounds exhibit potentiometric selectivity to cesium cation. The crystal structures of 2-(diphenylphosphoryl)-4-ethylphenol and 2-[(diphenylphosphoryl)methyl]phenol were established.  相似文献

[structure: see text] Linear (n = 2-18) and cyclic oligomers (n = 3-8) of a cyclohexylether-delta-amino acid (COA) were prepared in high yield and stereopurity. CD spectra of the linear oligomers were indicative of secondary structure formation. X-ray crystal structures of cyclic COA oligomers revealed hydrophobic packing and internal 5- and 10-membered-ring hydrogen bonds. Ether and amide oxygens reside preferably in an ap orientation. This conformational locking is apparently broken by a C-2 substituent in an asymmetric cyclotrimer, for which a zeolithe-like tubular structure was found.  相似文献

The cyclopropane ring can be used effectively in restricting the conformation of biologically active compounds to improve activity and also to investigate bioactive conformations. We designed (1S,2R)- and (1R,2R)-2-aminomethyl-1-(1H-imidazol-4-yl)cyclopropanes (1 and 2, respectively) and their enantiomers (ent-1 and ent-2) as conformationally restricted analogues of histamine. The four types of chiral cyclopropanes bearing two differentially functionalized carbon substituents in a cis or trans relationship on a cyclopropane ring, (1S,2R)-2-(tert-butyldiphenylsilyloxy)methyl-1-formylcyclopropane (7) and (1R,2R)-2-(tert-butyldiphenylsilyloxy)methyl-1-formylcyclopropane (8) and their enantiomers (ent-7 and ent-8), were developed as the key intermediates for synthesizing 1, 2, ent-1, and ent-2. The reaction between (R)-epichlorohydrin [(R)-12] and phenylsulfonylacetonitrile (13a) in the presence of NaOEt in EtOH followed by treatment with acid gave the chiral cyclopropane lactone 11a with 98% ee in 82% yield. Compound 11a was converted into both the cis- and trans-chiral cyclopropane units 7 and 8, respectively, via reductive desulfonylation with Mg/MeOH as the key step. The corresponding enantiomers, the cis-substituted ent-7 and the trans-substituted ent-8, were also prepared starting from (S)-epichlorohydrin [(S)-12]. The four conformationally restricted target histamine analogues 1, 2, ent-1, and ent-2 were successfully synthesized from 7, 8, ent-7, and ent-8, respectively. The chiral cyclopropane units 7, 8, ent-7, and ent-8 should be useful as versatile intermediates for synthesizing various compounds having an asymmetric cyclopropane structure.  相似文献

A series of donor-acceptor (D−A) macrocyclic dyads consisting of an electron-poor perylene bisimide (PBI) π-scaffold bridged with electron-rich α-oligothiophenes bearing four, five, six and seven thiophene units between the two phenyl-imide substituents has been synthesized and characterized by steady-state UV/Vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry as well as transient absorption spectroscopy. Tying the oligothiophene strands in a conformationally fixed macrocyclic arrangement leads to a more rigid π-scaffold with vibronic fine structure in the respective absorption spectra. Electrochemical analysis disclosed charged state properties in solution which are strongly dependent on the degree of rigidification within the individual macrocycle. Investigation of the excited state dynamics revealed an oligothiophene bridge size-dependent fast charge transfer process for the macrocyclic dyads upon PBI subunit excitation.  相似文献
