The reactivity towards H(2)O(2) of the complexes [Fe(pca)(2)(py)(2)].py (1) and Na(2){[Fe(pca(3))](2)O}.2H(2)O.CH(3)CN (2) (where pca(-) is pyrazine-2-carboxylate) and their catalytic activity in the oxidation of hydrocarbons is reported. Addition of H(2)O(2) to 1 results in the formation of a dinuclear Fe(III)-(mu-O)-Fe(III) species characterized spectroscopically and by cyclic voltammetry. By contrast, treatment of 2 with H(2)O(2) results in the formation of mononuclear iron(II) complexes, [Fe(pca)(2)(solvent)(2)]. The experimental results indicate that the catalytic activity of the starting complexes 1 and 2 is strongly dependent on the species formed in solution.  相似文献

The reaction of [M(CN)6]3- (M = Cr3+, Fe3+, Co3+) with the nickel(II) complex of 2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazin-6-yl-{3-(1,3,5,8,12-pentaazacyclotetradecane)} ([NiL]2+) in excess of ANO3 or ACl (A = Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, NH4+) leads to the cyano-bridged dinuclear assemblies A{[NiL][M(CN)6]}.xH2O (x = 2-5). X-ray structures of Li{[NiL][Cr(CN)6]}.5H2O, NH4{[NiL][Cr(CN)6]}.3.5H2O, K{[NiL][Cr(CN)6]}.4H2O, K{[NiL][Fe(CN)6]}.4H2O, Rb{[NiL][Fe(CN)6]}.3.5H2O, and Cs{[NiL][Fe(CN)6]}.3.5H2O, as well as the powder diffractometry of the entire Fe(III) series, are reported. The magnetic properties of the assemblies are dependent on the monocation A and discussed in detail. New efficient pathways for ferromagnetic exchange between Ni(II) and Fe(III) or Cr(III) are demonstrated. Field dependencies of the magnetization for the Fe(III) samples at low temperature and low magnetic field indicate a weak interchain antiferromagnetic coupling, which is switched to ferromagnetic coupling at increasing magnetic field (metamagnetic behavior). The interchain magnetic coupling can be tuned by the size of the A cations.  相似文献

The structures, luminescent and magnetic properties of three series of coordination polymers with formulas-{[Fe(3)Ln(2)(L(1))(6)(H(2)O)(6)]·xH(2)O}(n) (Ln = Pr-Er; 1-9), {[Co(3)Ln(2)(L(1))(6)(H(2)O)(6)]·yH(2)O}(n) (Ln = Pr-Dy, Yb; 10-17) and {[Co(2)Ln(L(2))(HL(2))(2)(H(2)O)(7)]·zH(2)O}(n) (Ln = Eu-Yb; 18-25) (H(2)L(1) = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, H(3)L(2) = 4-hydroxyl-pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) were systematically explored in this contribution. [Fe(II)(HS)-L(1)-Ln(III)] (1-9) and [Co(II)-L(1)-Ln(III)] (10-17) series are isostructural, and display 3D porous networks with 1D nanosized channels constructed by Fe/Co-OCO-Ln linkages. Furthermore, two types of "water" pipes are observed in 1D channels. [Co(II)-L(2)-Ln(III)] (18-25) series exhibit 2D open frameworks based on double-stranded helical motifs, which are further assembled into 3D porous structures by intermolecular hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl groups. The variety of the resulting structures is mainly due to the HO-substitution effect. These 3D coordination polymers show considerably high thermal stability, and do not decomposed until 400 °C. The high-spin Fe(II) ion in [Fe(II)(HS)-L(1)-Ln(III)] was confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, M?ssbauer spectroscopy and magnetic studies. The luminescent spectra of coordination polymers associated with Sm(III), Eu(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III) were systematically investigated, and indicate that different d-metal ions in d-f systems may result in dissimilar luminescent properties. The magnetic properties of [Fe(II)(HS)-L(1)-Ln(III)] (3, 6, 7, 9, 13), [Co(II)-L(1)-Ln(III)] (15-17) and [Co(II)-L(2)-Ln(III)] (19-24) coordination polymers were also studied, and the χ(M)T values decrease with cooling. For the single ion behavior of Co(II) and Ln(III) ions, the magnetic coupling nature between Fe(II)(HS)/Co(II) and Ln(III) ions cannot be clearly depicted as antiferromagnetic coupling.  相似文献

The novel mononuclear complex PPh(4)-mer-[Fe(III)(bpca)(3)(CN)(3)].H(2)O (1) [PPh(4)(+) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation and bpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amidate anion] and ladder-like chain compound [[Fe(III)(bpca)(micro-CN)(3)Mn(II)(H(2)O)(3)] [Fe(III)(bpca)(CN)(3)]].3H(2)O (2) have been prepared and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 is a low-spin iron(III) compound with three cyanide ligands in mer arrangement and a tridentate N-donor ligand building a distorted octahedral environment around the iron atom. Compound 2 is an ionic salt made up of cationic ladder-like chains [[Fe(III)(bpca)(micro-CN)(3)Mn(II)(H(2)O)(3)]](+) and uncoordinated anions [Fe(III)(bpca)(3)(CN)(3)](-). The magnetic properties of 2 correspond to those of a ferrimagnetic chain with significant intrachain antiferromagnetic coupling between the low-spin iron(III) centers and the high-spin manganese(II) cations. This compound exhibits ferrimagnetic ordering below 2.0 K.  相似文献

We reported the synthesis and characterization of peptide complexes of low-spin iron(III) [Fe(bpb)(py)2][ClO4] (1) and Na[Fe(bpb)(CN)2] (2) [H2bpb = 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)benzene; py = pyridine], where iron is coordinated to four nitrogen donors in the equatorial plane with two amide nitrogen anions and two pyridine nitrogen donors (Ray, M.; Mukherjee, R.; Richardson, J. F.; Buchanan, R. M. J. Chem. Soc., Dalton Trans. 1993, 2451). Chemical oxidation of 2 and a new low-spin iron(III) complex Na[Fe(Me6bpb)(CN)2].H2O (4) [synthesized from a new iron(III) complex [Fe(Me6bpb)(py)2][ClO4] (3) (S = 1/2)] [H2Me6bpb = 1,2-bis(3,5-dimethylpyridine2-carboxamido)-4,5-dimethylbenzene) by (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 afforded isolation of two novel complexes [Fe(bpb)-(CN)2] (5) and [Fe(Me6bpb)(CN)2].H2O (6). All the complexes have been characterized by physicochemical techniques. While 1-4 are brown/green, 5 and 6 are violet/bluish violet. The collective evidence from infrared, electronic, M?ssbauer, and 1H NMR spectroscopies, from temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibility data, and from cyclic voltammetric studies provides unambiguous evidence that 5 and 6 are low-spin iron(III) ligand cation radical complexes rather than iron(IV) complexes. Cyclic voltammetric studies on isolated oxidized complexes 5 and 6 display identical behavior (a metal-centered reduction and a ligand-centered oxidation) to that observed for complexes 2 and 4, respectively. The M?ssbauer data for 6 are almost identical with those of the parent compound 4, providing compelling evidence that oxidation has occurred at the ligand in a site remote from the iron atom. Strong antiferromagnetic coupling (-2J > or = 450 cm(-1)) of the S = 1/2 iron atom with the S = 1/2 ligand pi-cation radical leads to an effectively S = 0 ground state of 5 and 6. The oxidized complexes display 1H NMR spectra (in CDCl3 solution), characteristic of diamagnetic species.  相似文献

The reaction between Ln(NO3)3*xH2O, Cs3[W(V)(CN)8]*H2O and 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine (terpy) leads to the original isomorphous cyano-bridged [Ln(III)(terpy)(DMF)4][W(V)(CN)8] *6H2O [Ln = Gd (1), Sm (2)] 1-D chains. The crystal structures of {Ln(III)W(V)} chains and consist of alternating {[W(CN)8]} and {[Ln(terpy)]} building blocks. The neighbouring 1-D chains are weakly linked through pi-pi stacking interactions of the aromatic rings leading to 2-D supramolecular layers. The layers are linked through hydrogen bonds between H2O molecules and terminal cyano ligands. Magnetic studies revealed a weak antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -2.3(2) K) within the {Gd(III)W(V)} chains in . The positive effective coupling constant J = +2.0(5) K between the total angular momentum of the Sm(III) centre and the spin of the W(v) ion is equivalent to an antiferromagnetic character of the spin coupling between both centres in the {Sm(III)W(V)} chains of 2. The magnetic measurements suggest that they display an isolated magnetic chain behaviour.  相似文献

The structure of the complex, [Fe2(II)Fe2(III)(HCOO)10(C6H7N6)n, (1) exhibits a neutral two-dimensional layer network of alternating iron(II) and iron(III) ions, bridged equatorially by formate groups. All iron atoms are octahedrally coordinated, with iron(III) coordinating axially to one gamma-picoline and one formate group, while the iron(II) centers interact axially with two gamma-picoline groups, above and below the layer plane. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 at all studied temperatures [at 120 K, the cell dimensions are: a = 10.228(1), b = 12.071(1), c = 12.072(1) A, alpha = 89.801(2), beta = 71.149(2), gamma = 73.371(2) degrees]. An intralayer antiferromagnetic exchange interaction of J = -2.8 cm(-1) between iron(II) and iron(III) was observed in the magnetic studies. Decreasing the temperature to close to 20 K causes a magnetic-ordering phenomenon to occur and a low-temperature phase with a long-range antiferromagnetic spin orientation appears. The magnetic phase transition was confirmed by M?ssbauer spectroscopic studies at temperatures above and below the critical temperature. Structural information of 1 from synchrotron X-ray diffraction data collected at room temperature and 16 K suggests that the antiferromagnetic ordering is caused by an enhanced pi-pi interaction between chi-picoline groups from adjacent layers.  相似文献

The first dinuclear iron(II) complexes of any 4-substituted 3,5-di(2-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands, [Fe(II)2(adpt)2(H2O)1.5(CH3CN)2.5](BF4)4 and [Fe(II)2(pldpt)2(H2O)2(CH3CN)2](BF4)4, are presented [where adpt is 4-amino-3,5-di(2-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole and pldpt is 4-pyrrolyl-3,5-di(2-pyridyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole]. Both dinuclear complexes feature doubly triazole bridged iron(II) centers that are found to be [high spin-high spin] at all temperatures, 4-300 K, and to exhibit weak antiferromagnetic coupling. In the analogous monometallic complexes, [Fe(II)(Rdpt)2(X)2](n+), the spin state of the iron(II) center was controlled by appropriate selection of the axial ligands X. Specifically, both of the chloride complexes, [Fe(II)(adpt)2(Cl)2] x 2 MeOH and [Fe(II)(pldpt)2(Cl)2] x 2 MeOH x H2O, were found to be high spin whereas the pyridine adduct [Fe(II)(adpt)2(py)2](BF4)2 was low spin. Attempts to prepare [Fe(II)(pldpt)2(py)2](BF4)2 and the dinuclear analogues [Fe(II)2(Rdpt)2(py)4](BF4)4 failed, illustrating the significant challenges faced in attempts to develop control over the nature of the product obtained from reactions of iron(II) and these bis-bidentate ligands.  相似文献

A series of heterobimetallic complexes of the type [Fe(III)M(II)L(&mgr;-OAc)(OAc)(H(2)O)](ClO(4)).nH(2)O (2-5) and [{Fe(III)Co(III)L(&mgr;-OAc)(OAc)}(2)(&mgr;-O)](ClO(4))(2).3H(2)O (6) where H(2)L is a tetraaminodiphenol macrocyclic ligand and M(II) = Zn(2), Ni(3), Co(4), and Mn(5) have been synthesized and characterized. The (1)H NMR spectrum of 6 exhibits all the resonances between 1 and 12 ppm. The IR and UV-vis spectra of 2-5 indicate that in all the cases the metal ions have similar coordination environments. A disordered crystal structure determined for 3 reveals the presence of a (&mgr;-acetate)bis(&mgr;-phenoxide)-Ni(II)Fe(III) core, in which the two metal ions have 6-fold coordination geometry and each have two amino nitrogens and two phenolate oxygens as the in-plane donors; aside from the axial bridging acetate, the sixth coordination site of nickel(II) is occupied by the unidentate acetate and that of iron(III) by a water molecule. The crystal structure determination of 6 shows that the two heterobinuclear Co(III)Fe(III) units are bound by an Fe-O-Fe linkage. 6 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Ibca with a = 17.577(4) ?, b = 27.282(7) ?, c = 28.647(6) ?, and Z = 8. The two iron(III) centers in 6 are strongly antiferromagnetically coupled, J = -100 cm(-1) (H = -2JS(1).S(2)), whereas the other two S(1) = S(2) = (5)/(2) systems, viz. [Fe(2)(III)(HL)(2)(&mgr;-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (1) and the Fe(III)Mn(II) complex (5), exhibit weak antiferromagnetic exchange coupling with J = -4.5 cm(-1) (1) and -1.8 cm(-1) (5). The Fe(III)Ni(II) (3) and Fe(III)Co(II) (4) systems, however, exhibit weak ferromagnetic behavior with J = 1.7 cm(-1) (3) and 4.2 cm(-1) (4). The iron(III) center in 2-5 exhibits quasi-reversible redox behavior between -0.44 and -0.48 V vs Ag/AgCl associated with reduction to iron(II). The oxidation of cobalt(II) in 4 occurs quasi-reversibly at 0.74 V, while both nickel(II) and manganese(II) in 3 and 5 undergo irreversible oxidation at 0.85 V. The electrochemical reduction of 6 leads to the generation of 4.  相似文献

Lanthanide coordination polymers were synthesized from Pr(III), Nd(III), and Gd(III) salts; 2-hydroxynicotinic acid (Hnica); and MnSO 4.H 2O under hydrothermal conditions. In the absence of (CH 3) 3CCOONa, 1D polymers with an infinite Ln(III)-O-Ln(III) chain structure, [Pr(Hnica)(H 2O) 2SO 4] n ( 1), [Nd(Hnica)(H 2O) 2SO 4] n ( 2), and [Gd(Hnica)(H 2O) 2SO 4] n ( 3), were generated. When (CH 3) 3CCOONa was added to the synthetic systems, 2D coordination polymers {[Pr 3(Hnica) 6(H 2O) 9].3H 2O.SO 4.NO 3} n ( 4), {[Nd 3(Hnica) 6(H 2O) 9].3H 2O.SO 4.NO 3} n ( 5), and {[Gd(Hnica) 2(H 2O) 2]ClO 4.H 2O} n ( 6) were obtained. Complexes 4 and 5 both exhibit Kagome lattice structure, while 6 displays a rhombic grid structure. All complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-vis spectra, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies reveal ferromagnetic interactions between gadolinium(III) ions in 3 and 6 and antiferromagnetic interactions in 1, 2, 4, and 5.  相似文献

Three new paramagnetic ion-directed coordination frameworks, {[Co(4)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(atz)(2)(nip)(2)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Mn(4)(H(2)O)(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(atz)(2)(nip)(2)]·H(2)O·MeOH}(n) (2) and {[Cu(2)(H(2)O)(μ(3)-OH)(atz)(nip)]·2H(2)O}(n) (3), were, respectively, obtained by solvo-/hydrothermal reactions of 5-amino-1H-tetrazole (Hatz), 5-nitroisophathalic acid (H(2)nip) with an inorganic Co(II), Mn(II) or Cu(II) salt. The former two complexes are two-dimensional (2D) covalent layers built from butterfly-shaped tetranuclear M(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2) clusters and double atz(-) and nip(2-) linkers. Whereas complex 3 is a 3D framework with scarcely observed corner-sharing Cu(3)(μ(3)-OH) Δ-chains extended by nip(2-) linkages, in which the anionic atz(-) ligand acts as a reinforcement to consolidate the Δ-chain. Magnetically, due to the interplay of the anisotropy of spin carrier and magnetic exchange interactions from the adjacent spin carriers, the complexes exhibit spin-canted antiferromagnetism with a Néel temperature lower than 2.0 K for 1 and an antiferromagnetic ordering with a slight field-induced spin-flop transition for 2. In contrast, complex 3 with a local Kagomé sublattice displays spin-frustrated antiferromagnetic behavior with magnetic ordering at 16.0 K.  相似文献

Coordination compounds with a 4,4'-azobis(pyridine) (azpy) ligand, {[M2(azpy)6(H2O)5] x 4PF6 x azpy x H2O}n (M = Ni(II) (1) or Co(II) (2)) (0-dimensional (0-D) dimer), {[Zn(azpy)3(H2O)2] x 2PF6 x 2azpy x 4H2O}n (3) (1-dimensional (1-D) fishbone-type chain), {[Ag(azpy)] x PF6}n (4) (1-D linear chain), {[Mn(NCS)2(azpy)2] x azpy}n (5) (2-dimensional (2-D) grid sheet), and {[Ni(NCS)2(azpy)2] x 3toluene}n (6) (2-D grid sheet), were synthesized and structurally characterized. Compounds 1 and 2 have a 0-D dimer motif, in which one M(II) (M(II) = Ni(II) or Co(II)) coordination site is shared by unidentate azpy and H2O ligands, each with half-occupancy, i.e., exhibiting static disorder. Compounds 3 and 4 afford 1-D fishbone-type and 1-D linear chain motifs, respectively. Azpy mediates pi-pi and pi-p interactions between these low-dimensional structures. Compounds 5 and 6 possess a 2-D grid sheet motif. These sheets assemble to form microporous frameworks that incorporate aromatic guests, such as coordination-free azpy (5) and toluene (6). There exist not only pi-pi and pi-p interactions but also CH-pi interactions between the framework azpy ligands and guests. It should be noted that the azpy ligand is a good candidate for the construction of new assembling systems of coordination compounds through its aromatic interactions.  相似文献

Acyclic pyridine-2-carboxamide- and thioether-containing hexadentate ligand 1,4-bis[o-(pyridine-2-carboxamidophenyl)]-1,4-dithiobutane (H(2)bpctb), in its deprotonated form, has afforded purple low-spin (S = 0) iron(II) complex [Fe(bpctb)] (1). A new ligand, the pyrazine derivative of H(2)bpctb, 1,4-bis[o-(pyrazine-2-carboxamidophenyl)]-1,4-dithiobutane (H(2)bpzctb), has been synthesized which has furnished the isolation of purple iron(II) complex [Fe(bpzctb)].CH(2)Cl(2) (4) (S = 0). Chemical oxidation of 1 by [(eta(5)-C(5)H(5))(2)Fe][PF(6)] or [Ce(NO(3))(6)][NH(4)](2) led to the isolation of low-spin (S = 1/2) green Fe(III) complexes [Fe(bpctb)][PF(6)] (2) or [Fe(bpctb)][NO(3)].H(2)O (3), and oxidation of 4 by [Ce(NO(3))(6)][NH(4)](2) afforded [Fe(bpzctb)][NO(3)].H(2)O (5) (S = 1/2). X-ray crystal structures of 1 and 4 revealed that (i) in each case the ligand coordinates in a hexadentate mode and (ii) bpzctb(2-) binds more strongly than bpctb(2-), affording distorted octahedral M(II)N(2)(pyridine/pyrazine)N'(2)(amide)S(2)(thioether) coordination. To the best of our knowledge, 1 and 4 are the first examples of six-coordinate low-spin Fe(II) complexes of deprotonated pyridine/pyrazine amide ligands having appended thioether functionality. The Fe(III) complexes display rhombic EPR spectra. Each complex exhibits in CH(2)Cl(2)/MeCN a reversible to quasireversible cyclic voltammetric response, corresponding to the Fe(III)-Fe(II) redox process. The E(1/2) value of 4 is more anodic by approximately 0.2 V than that of 1, attesting that compared to pyridine, pyrazine is a better stabilizer of iron(II). Moreover, the E(1/2) value of 1 is significantly higher (approximately 1.5 V) than that reported for six-coordinate Fe(II)/Fe(III) complexes of the tridentate pyridine-2-carboxamide ligand incorporating thiolate donor site.  相似文献

Solvothermal reactions with different solvents produced two iron trimesates [Fe2(H2O)2(BTC)4/3]Cl x 4.5(DMF) (1) and [Fe4Cl(BTC)8/3]Cl2 x H2O x 2.5(DEF) (2) (BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate, DMF = N,N'-dimethylformamide, DEF = N,N'-diethylformamide). The framework of 1 is a (3,4)-connected net constructed from mixed-valence paddlewheel Fe2(II, III) units and BTC linkers, while the framework of 2 is a (3,8)-connected net built from mixed-valence square-planar Fe4(III, III, III, II) units and BTC linkers. The large volume inside the framework of 1 (or 2) is occupied by disordered Cl- anions and guest DMF (or DEF) molecules. The mixed-valence character of the frameworks of 1 and 2 was confirmed by M?ssbauer spectroscopy studies. The active electronic property of iron cations may be the origin of the variability of the iron-organic frameworks, which are readily affected by some synthetic factors, such as solvents. Magnetic studies reveal that there are antiferromagnetic exchange interactions among the Fe atoms in 1 and 2. Ion-exchange studies for 1 show that the Cl- anions inside the framework of 1 can be exchanged by CNS- anions.  相似文献

With the background that certain natural systems utilize two Fe(II) centres in their prosthetic groups for the activation of O2, a ligand system containing two parallel beta-diiminato binding sites linked by a xanthene backbone ([RXanthdim]2- with residues R = 2,3-dimethylphenyl and 2,4-difluorophenyl at the iminato units, respectively) was investigated with respect to its Fe(II) coordination chemistry in order to study O(2) activation reactions. Hence, the corresponding lithium salts were treated with FeCl2 to yield the complexes [Me2C6H3Xanthdim]Fe2Cl3(Li(thf)3), and [F2C6H3Xanthdim]Fe2Cl3(Li(thf)3), , respectively, each of which comprises Cl-Fe(micro-Cl)Fe-Cl(Li(thf)3) units. and indeed readily react with O2 to give the oxides [RXanthdim]Fe2Cl2O containing Fe(III)-O-Fe(III) moieties. Due to the electron withdrawing F atoms reacts more slowly than . The molecular structures of , and [Me2C6H3Xanthdim]Fe2Cl2O, , as determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction are discussed, and an investigation concerning their magnetic properties revealed an antiferromagnetic coupling of the two iron centres in all complexes; naturally, the strongest coupling is observed for .  相似文献

Two new insoluble transition metal substituted phosphotungstates, (C2N2H10)11[{(B-alpha-PW9O34)Fe3(OH)3}4(PO4)4Fe].38H2O(1) and K4(C2N2H10)12[(alpha-PW10Fe2O39)4].30H2O(2), have been isolated by the hydrothermal reaction of [A-alpha-PW9O34]9-, Fe(III) ions and ethylenediamine. Compound 1 has a tetrahedral symmetry and contains a Fe13 core built from the assembly of four Fe(III) trisubstituted [B-alpha-PW9O34]9- anions around a central disordered iron ion via four phosphato ligands. The anion in 2 can be described as a square of disubstituted [PW10O37]9- anions linked by Fe(III)-O-Fe(III) bridges. Magnetic measurements performed on 1 and 2 have shown the occurrence of antiferromagnetic interactions between the iron ions and have allowed the coupling constants between the magnetic centers to be determined.  相似文献

The new cyano complexes of formulas PPh(4)[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)] x H(2)O (1), [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] x 4H(2)O with M = Mn (2) and Zn (3), and [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)Zn(II)] x 2H(2)O (4) [bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine and PPh(4) = tetraphenylphosphonium cation] have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The structure of complex 1 is made up of mononuclear [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) anions, tetraphenyphosphonium cations, and water molecules of crystallization. The iron(III) is hexacoordinated with two nitrogen atoms of a chelating bipy and four carbon atoms of four terminal cyanide groups, building a distorted octahedron around the metal atom. The structure of complexes 2 and 3 consists of neutral centrosymmetric [[Fe(III)(bipy)(CN)(4)](2)M(II)(H(2)O)(4)] heterotrinuclear units and crystallization water molecules. The [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) entity of 1 is present in 2 and 3 acting as a monodentate ligand toward M(H(2)O)(4) units [M = Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3)] through one cyanide group, the other three cyanides remaining terminal. Four water molecules and two cyanide nitrogen atoms from two [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units in trans positions build a distorted octahedron surrounding Mn(II) (2) and Zn(II) (3). The structure of the [Fe(phen)(CN)(4)](-) complex ligand in 2 and 3 is close to that of the one in 1. The intramolecular Fe-M distances are 5.126(1) and 5.018(1) A in 2 and 3, respectively. 4 exhibits a neutral one-dimensional polymeric structure containing two types of [Fe(bipy)(CN)(4)](-) units acting as bismonodentate (Fe(1)) and trismonodentate (Fe(2)) ligands versus the divalent zinc cations through two cis-cyanide (Fe(1)) and three fac-cyanide (Fe(2)) groups. The environment of the iron atoms in 4 is distorted octahedral as in 1-3, whereas the zinc atom is pentacoordinated with five cyanide nitrogen atoms, describing a very distorted square pyramid. The iron-zinc separations across the single bridging cyanides are 5.013(1) and 5.142(1) A at Fe(1) and 5.028(1), 5.076(1), and 5.176(1) A at Fe(2). The magnetic properties of 1-3 have been investigated in the temperature range 2.0-300 K. 1 is a low-spin iron(III) complex with an important orbital contribution. The magnetic properties of 3 correspond to the sum of two magnetically isolated spin triplets, the antiferromagnetic coupling between the low-spin iron(III) centers through the -CN-Zn-NC- bridging skeleton (iron-iron separation larger than 10 A) being very weak. More interestingly, 2 exhibits a significant intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between the central spin sextet and peripheral spin doublets, leading to a low-lying spin quartet.  相似文献

By utilizing the novel metalloligand l(Cu), [Cu(2,4-pydca)(2)](2)(-) (2,4-pydca(2)(-) = pyridine-2,4-dicarboxylate), which possesses two kinds of coordination groups, selective bond formation with the series of the first-period transition metal ions (Mn(ii), Fe(ii), Co(ii), Cu(ii), and Zn(ii)) has been accomplished. depending on the coordination mode of 4-carboxylate with Co(ii), Cu(ii), and Zn(ii) ions, L(Cu) forms a one-dimensional (1-d) assembly with a repeating motif of [-M-O(2)C-(py)N-Cu-N(py)-Co(2)-]: {[ZnL(Cu)(H(2)O)(3)(DMF)].DMF}(N)() (2), [ZnL(Cu)(H(2)O)(2)(MeOH)(2)](N)() (3), and {[ML(Cu)(H(2)O)(4)].2H(2)O}(N)() (M = Co (4), Cu (5), Zn (6)). the use of a terminal ligand of 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bpy), in addition to the cu(ii) ion, gives a zigzag 1-d assembly with the similar repeating unit as 4-6: {[Cu(2,2'-bpy)L(Cu)].3H(2)O}(N)() (9). on the other hand, for Mn(ii) and Fe(ii) ions, L(Cu) shows a 2-carboxylate bridging mode to form an another 1-d assembly with a repeating motif of [-M-O-C-O-CU-O-C-O-]: [ML(Cu)(H(2)O)(4)](N)() (M = Mn (7), Fe (8)). this selectivity is related to the strength of lewis basicity and the electrostatic effect of L(Cu) and the irving-williams order on the present metal ions. according to their bridging modes, a variety of magnetic properties are obtained: 4, 5, and 9, which have the 4-carboxypyridinate bridge between magnetic centers, have weak antiferromagnetic interaction, whereas 7 and 8 with the carboxylate bridge between magnetic centers reveal 1-d ferromagnetic behavior (Cu(II)-M(II); M(II) = Mn(II), J/k(B) = 0.69 K for 7; M(II) = Fe(II), J/k(B) = 0.71 K for 8).  相似文献

Four succinato-bridged complexes of copper(II) have been synthesized. Complex 1, [Cu(2)(mu-OH(2))(2)L(bpy)(2)(NO(3))(2)](n) and 2, [Cu(2)(mu-OH(2))(2)L(phen)(2)(NO(3))(2)](n)(bpy = 2,2[prime or minute]-bipyridine; phen = 1,10-phenanthroline and LH(2)= succinic acid) exhibit 1D coordination polymer structures where both the nitrate ions are directly linked to the copper(ii) producing synthons in a 2D sheet. A novel 2D grid-like network, ([Cu(4)L(2)(bpy)(4)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(4)(H(2)O))n3, is obtained upon changing the nitrate by perchlorate anion in complex 1, where the channels are occupied by the anions. On changing the nitrate by tetrafluoroborate anion in complex 2, a novel octanuclear complex, [Cu(8)L(4)(phen)(12)](BF(4))(8).8H(2)O 4, is isolated. The coligand bpy and phen in these complexes show face-to-face (in 1,2,3,4) or edge-to-face (in 4 )pi-pi interactions forming the multidimensional supramolecular architectures. Interestingly, the appearance of edge-to-face pi-pi interactions in complex facilitates the formation of discrete octanuclear entities. Variable-temperature (300-2 K) magnetic measurements of complexes have been done. Complexes 1 and 2 show very weak antiferromagnetic (OOC-CH(2)-CH(2)-COO) and ferromagnetic coupling (mu-H(2)O). Complex 3 also shows antiferromagnetic (syn-syn mu-OCO), and ferromagnetic coupling (mu-O of the -COO group). Complex 4 with two types (syn-syn and syn-anti) of binding modes of the carboxylate group shows strong antiferromagnetic interaction.  相似文献
