The preconcentration performance characteristics of precipitation of Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni and Hg with 8-hydroxyquinoline (8HQ) and subsequent filtration through cellulose nitrate membrane were investigated for the X-ray fluorescence spectrometry identification and determination of trace metal ions in drug samples. Several parameters of the method were optimised, including pH and amount of 8HQ. The investigated ions were collected on cellulose nitrate membrane filter (Pragopor 4) as their complexes after the reaction with 8HQ. To conclude, optimal reaction conditions were found out (pH 10.5 for Fe, Co and pH 11.5 for Mn, Cu Zn, Pb and Hg, volume of 20 μl of the 2 % solution of hydroxyquinoline). Thereafter, the content of these elements was determined in the active substances of the infusion and injection solutions, i.e. NaCl, glucose and dextrane, and the results were compared with those ones obtained after the preconcentration with thioacetamid. The rapidity of this method, its multi-element character and low detection limits proved this method to be a very promising in rapid screening in quality control of drugs.  相似文献

Two approaches to immobilize complex-forming analytical reagents (PAN, PAR, Xylenol orange, Brombenzothiazo, Crystal violet, Cadion, and Sulfochlorophenolazorhodanine) for the preparation of new sorbents and indicator powders are suggested: on-line coating of reversed-phase silica gel by reagents or doping of porous sol-gel silica with reagents. The retention of Ag, Cd, Cu(II), Co(II), Fe(III), Mn(II), Ni, Pb, and Zn on the sorbents developed was investigated. Quantitative sorption and desorption conditions were optimized. Procedures for the determination of Cd, Cu(II), Fe(III), Pb, and Zn with flame atomic absorption, spectrophotometric, and diffusion scattering spectrometric detection were elaborated. Detection limits for Cd, Cu(II), Fe(III), Pb, and Zn were 3 μg/L, 6 μg/L, 5 μg/L, 40 μg/L, and 1 μg/L, respectively. The procedures were used for the analysis of various real samples, e.g., natural and waste waters, and food. Received: 17 July 1997 / Revised: 20 January 1998 / Accepted: 5 February 1998  相似文献

The levels of some trace elements; Co, Mn, Cu, Zn, Cr, Cd, Pb, Fe, Hg, Se, As, Ni and minor elements; Na, K, Ca and Mg were determined in public drinking water supplies (public taps and groundwaters) in three states in Southeastern Nigeria using energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (EDXRF) and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The mean levels of most of the trace elements in the groundwater samples were below the World Health Organization (WHO) drinking water quality limits, the only exception being Hg whose mean value of 3.69 μg/l exceeded the WHO limit of 1.0 μg/l. Violations of the WHO limits were also observed for Fe, Zn, Se and Pb in some of the groundwater samples. In the public tap samples only Hg violated the WHO limit.  相似文献

Four plant parts (leaves, roots, fruits and seeds) of twenty samples of sixteen antidiabetic herbs including three commercially marketed capsules have been analyzed for 6 minor (Na, K, Ca, Cl, Mg, and P) and 21 trace (As, Ba, Br, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Cu, Eu, Fe, Hg, La, Mn, Rb, Sb, Sc, Se, Sm, Th, V and Zn) elements by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Further, Ni, Cd and Pb contents were determined by AAS. Elemental data were validated by simultaneously analyzing reference material (RM), MPH-2 Mixed Polish Herbs. Several elements such as Cr and V (1–2 μg/g), Rb (10–40 μg/g), Cs (80–300 ng/g), Se (∼100 ng/g) and Zn (25–60 μg/g) play an important role in diabetes mellitus. Interelemental linear correlations have been observed for Cu vs. Zn (r = 0.89) and Rb vs. Cs (r = 0.87). K/P ratio varies in a narrow range with a mean value of 6.2 ± 1.4. Toxic elements As and Hg were found in <1 μg/g whereas Cd and Pb were in ∼5 μg/g and <10 μg/g, respectively.  相似文献

The aim of this intercomparison exercise was to assess the comparability of trace metal analyses of blank filters and of marine suspended particulate matter (SPM) on filters performed by laboratories in ICES member countries. Fifteen experts from the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, and the United States were invited to participate in this exercise for trace metal analyses of Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Al, Li, Fe, Mn, Ni and Co (tentative) in SPM. Each filter analysed in this project was an individual sample, the absolute loadings on the filters varying from 0.8 to 2 mg of SPM. The inter-laboratory means and the relative standard deviations (RSD) from the grand mean for the metals determined were: Al 67.5 mg/g, 8.3%, Fe 51.7 mg/g, 10.9%, Cd 1.5 μg/g, 22.7%, Cu 39 μg/g, 13.3%, Pb 38 μg/g, 34.7%, Mn 1060 μg/g, 13%, Ni 49.2 μg/g, 29%, Zn 182 μg/g, 32.5%, Li 52.8 μg/g, 26.1%, Co 15.4 μg/g, 23.6%. In general, the exercise demonstrated that it is possible for the various participants to collect very small amounts of SPM and analyse it by the different determination techniques. Compared to earlier exercises, comparability between laboratories was still difficult to achieve and limited.

Simultaneous assay of Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Pb and Cd in plant tissue by means of differential pulse polarography
Summary Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn, Fe and Mn ions in plant material can be assayed by means of differential pulse polarography in one analysis operation if the first basic solution is varied without changing the measurement vessel by addition in such a way that in each case one other group of the named ions can be assayed without interference. After incineration and dissolution in tartaric acid, Cu, Pb, Cd and Zn can be assayed. After addition of ammonia Cd, Zn and Fe, and after further addition of potassium cyanide, Mn can be determined. Required sample amount: 0.2 to 0.5 g; lower limit of detection is around 1g/g. The method is especially suitable for serial analyses. An analysis example is given.

The preparation of new Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) of antarctic matrices forms the backbone of an ongoing project in the framework of the Italian National Program for Antarctic Research. The first CRM of this kind (MURST-ISS-A1 Antarctic Marine Sediment) is already available. The second phase focuses on the certification of antarctic krill, a small shrimp extremely abundant in the Southern Ocean. The total mass of krill available for this purpose is approximately 44 kg and results from the combination of three different catches (Ross Sea, Marguerite Bay and Livingston Island, respectively). The quantification of the following elements in the raw mass appears to be affordable by current analytical techniques, values being in the range of (in μg/g) 0.11–0.30 for As, 0.03–0.12 for Cd, 0.06–0.23 for Cr, 6.1–21 for Cu, 5.7–7.6 for Fe, 0.005–0.008 for Hg, 0.7–1.2 for Mn, 0.013– 0.077 for Ni, 0.04–0.57 for Pb and 12–16 for Zn. On the other hand, the average values ascertained in freeze-dried krill are as a rule one order of magnitude higher, i.e., (in μg/g), 3.2 for As, 0.6 for Cd, 1.8 for Cr, 75 for Cu, 61 for Fe, 0.025 for Hg, 4.6 for Mn, 0.7 for Ni, 2.1 for Pb and 81 for Zn. Information on the pretreatment of krill and details on the planned certification campaign are also given. Received: 10 June 1997 / Revised: 24 September 1997 / Accepted: 28 September 1997  相似文献

Investigations of the influence of the following metal ions: Ca, Mg, Ba, Cr, Mn,Co, Ni, Fe(II), Fe(III), Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb, Hg, Al and Ag on thermal decomposition of humic acids were carried out. Metal-humic compounds were obtained by ion exchange method and by complexing of metal cations on humic acids. For the investigations of thermal decomposition TG and DTA were used. Presence of metal ions in structure of humic acids mostly increases intensity of their thermal decomposition particularly the Hg and Cu ions. They shift this process to lower temperatures 100–300°C. Mass loss of organic matter in this temperature range in humic-mercury compounds are higher by more than 35%, and in humic-copper compounds are higher by more than 20% compared with the mass loss of humic acids itself. Ni and Co ions also increase the intensity of thermal decomposition of humic acids, but Ca, Ba and Mg ions inhibit that process. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Analytical results are reported for the determination of inorganic species in water and sediments sampled in the Senio river ecosystem. The species determined are Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn, Co, Cr, Ni, Fe, Mn, Hg, F-, Cl-, Br, NO3-, SO4-, Na+, K+, Ca++, Mg++, NH4+ in integrated water, and Cu, Pb, Cd, Zn, Co, Cr, Ni, Fe, Mn, Hg in sediments. For all the elements, in addition to detection limits, precision and accuracy are given: the former, expressed as relative standard deviation (sr), and the latter, expressed as relative error (e), were good, being in all cases lower than 6%. Limitedly to Cu, Pb, Cd and Zn a critical comparison with voltammetric measurements is also discussed.  相似文献

Summary The selectivity of the cellulose ion-exchanger Cellex P containing phosphonic groups has been examined by means of tetrene. The affinity of 14 metal ions was determined as a function of the pH-value in the presence of tetrene. Bismuth was separated from large excess of Pb, Cd, Cu, Co, Ni, Fe, Mn and Zn by means of this ion-exchanger using tetrene as a complexing agent. The method has been applied to the determination of bismuth in metallic lead.

A silica-based inorganic sorbent was synthesized by the thermal decomposition of ammonium heptamolybdate on silica and applied for the preconcentration and simultaneous determination of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb in river water samples using a column system with flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Attenuated total reflection-Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and electron dispersive spectroscopy were used for sorbent characterization. The effects of pH, sample volume, eluent type, eluent concentration, eluent volume, sample flow rate, and matrix ions (Al, Bi, Ca, Mg, and Zn) on the recovery of the metals in model solutions were investigated. The adsorption capacities (µmol g?1) of SiO2-MoO3 were 88.96 (Cd), 169.69 (Co), 153.85 (Cr), 188.88 (Cu), 179.05 (Fe), 163.81 (Mn), 136.31 (Ni), and 38.61 (Pb). The detection limits of the method were 9.09, 10.82, 10.77, 49.57, 31.64, 6.40, 8.86, 19.15?µg L?1 for Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Pb, respectively, with a preconcentration factor of 25. The developed method was used for the determination of the target metals in real samples and the recoveries for spiked samples were found to be from 91.2% to 102.9%.  相似文献

An EDTA‐bonded conducting polymer modified electrode was prepared and characterized by FT‐IR. The modified electrode was used for the selective electrochemical analysis of various trace metal ions such as, Cu(II), Hg(II), Pb(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Fe(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II) at the different pHs by linear sweep and square wave voltammetry. Dynamic ranges were obtained using square wave voltammetry from 0.1 μM to 10.0 μM for Co(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Fe(II), and Zn(II) and 0.5 nM to 20 nM for Cu(II), Hg(II), and Pb(II) after 10 min of preconcentration. The detection limits were determined to be 0.1 nM, 0.3 nM, 0.4 nM, 50.0 nM, 60.0 nM, 65.0 nM, 80.0 nM, and 90.0 nM for Cu(II), Hg(II), Pb(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cd(II), Fe(II), and Zn(II), respectively. The technique offers an excellent way for the selective trace determination of various heavy metal ions in a solution.  相似文献

Methods are described for the determination of trace and ultra trace amounts of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni and Pb in natural waters, alkali and alkaline earth salts. Separation and preconcentration of trace metals is achieved by a column solid phase extraction procedure using silica gel modified with derivatives of dithiocarbamates — Na-DDTC (sodium diethyldithio-carbamate and HMDTC (ammonium hexamethylene-dithiocarbamate) as column packing material. The influence of the sorbent preparation procedure on the degree of sorption of the trace analytes is examined for different pH values of the sample solution. Isobutylmethyl ketone (IBMK) is proposed as an effective eluent for quantitative elution of retained metal ions. Optimal instrumental parameters for ETAAS determination of preconcentrated elements in organic eluate are presented. Practical application of sorbents in analysis of natural waters and alkali and alkaline earth salts is demonstrated. Proposed preconcentration procedure combined with ETAAS determination of trace analytes allows the determination of 0.04 g l–1 Cd, 0.1 g l–1 Cr, Cu, and Mn and 0.3 g l–1 Co, Fe, Ni and Pb in natural waters and 1.10–7% Cd, 3.10–7% Cr and Mn, 7.10–7% Co, Ni and Pb and 2.10–6% Cu and Fe in alkali and alkaline earth salts.  相似文献

A new chelating resin, poly(diacetonitrile methacrylamide-co-divinylbenzene-co-vinylimidazole), was synthesized and characterized by infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and elemental analysis. The novel resin was used for the first time as a chelating adsorbent for the preconcentration of Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn from various samples by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The adsorption capacities of the resin were 29.3, 31.6, 29.3, 27.3, 35.5, 31.7, 39.8, and 32.3?mg?g?1 for Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn, respectively. The detection limits of the metal ions were from 0.42 to 3.21?µg?L?1. A preconcentration factor of 30 for all metal ions was obtained. The precision of the method as the relative standard deviation was less than or equal to 2.6%. The described method was validated with certified reference materials and fortified real samples. The method was used for the determination of the analytes in well water and wastewater.  相似文献
