DIFFUSION-DRIVEN INSTABILITY IN THE GIERER-MEINHARDT MODEL OF MORPHOGENESIS

In this paper, we consider the Gierer-Meinhardt model of morphogenesis. It is shown that the homogeneous equilibrium solution and the homogeneous periodic solution become diffusively unstable if the diffusion coefficients of the two substances are chosen suitably.     

A NOTE ON THE INTERACTIONS OF ELEMENTARY WAVES FOR THE AR TRAFFIC FLOW MODEL WITHOUT VACUUM

In this note, we consider the interactions of elementary waves for the traffic flow model proposed by Aw and Rascle when the vacuum is not involved. The solutions are obtained constructively and globally when the initial data consist of three pieces of constant states. Furthermore, it can be found that the Riemann solutions are stable with respect to such small perturbations of the initial data in this particular situation by investigating the limits of the solutions as the perturbed parameter ε goes to zero.     

交通流模型基于特征投影分解技术的外推降维有限差分格式

利用特征正交分解(proper orthogonal decomposition,简记为POD)技术研究交通流的Aw-Rascle-Zhang(ARZ)模型. 建立一种基于 POD方法维数较低的外推降维有限差分格式, 并用数值例子检验数值计算结果与理论结果相吻合, 进一步表明基于POD方法的外推降维有限差分格式对于求解交通流方程数值解是可行和有效的.     

ON THE INSTABILITY OF GROUND STATES FOR A GENERALIZED DAVEY-STEWARTSON SYSTEM

In this paper, we give a simpler proof for Ohta's theorems [1995, Ann. Inst.Henri Poincare, 63, 111; 1995, Diff. Integral Eq., 8, 1775] on the strong instability of the ground states for a generalized Davey-Stewartson system. In addition, a sufficient condition is given to ensure the nonexistence of a minimizer for a variational problem, which is related to the stability of the standing waves of the Davey-Stewartson system. This result shows that the stability result of Ohta [Diff. Integral Eq., 8, 1775] is sharp.

SOME SPECIAL SELF-SIMILAR SOLUTIONS FOR A MODEL OF INVISCID LIQUID-GAS TWO-PHASE FLOW

In this article,we are concerned with analytical solutions for a model of inviscid liquid-gas two-phase flow.On the basis of Yuen’s works[25,27–29]on self-similar solutions for compressible Euler equations,we present some special self-similar solutions for a model of inviscid liquid-gas two-phase flow in radial symmetry with and without rotation,and in elliptic symmetry without rotation.Some blowup phenomena and the global existence of the solutions obtained are classified.     

ON THE INSTABILITY OF SOLUTIONS TO A NONLINEAR VECTOR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION OF FOURTH ORDER

This paper presents a new result related to the instability of the zero solution to a nonlinear vector differential equation of fourth order.Our result includes and improves an instability result in the previous literature,which is related to the instability of the zero solution to a nonlinear scalar differential equation of fourth order.

投入产出模型若干性质的研究

利用非负M矩阵的性质,给出了woods定理的一个新证明方法与该定理相关的推论;应用Z变换对离散型动态投入产出模型进行了求解,推导了投入产出模型的解在经济增长率、产出结构计算中的应用,并用具体实例对动态投入产出模型的经济预测与控制功能进行了实证分析.
