A type of interesting immobilized supramolecular catalysts based on surfactant‐encapsulated polyoxometalates has been developed for oxidation reactions. Through a sol‐gel process with tetraethyl orthosilicate, hydroxyl‐terminated surfactant‐encapsulated polyoxometalate complexes have been covalently and uniformly bound to a silica matrix with unchanged complex structure. The formed hybrid catalysts possess a defined hydrophobic nano‐environment surrounding the inorganic clusters, which is conducive to compatibility between the polyoxometalate catalytic centres and organic substrates. The supramolecular synergy between substrate adsorption, reaction, and product desorption during the oxidation process has been found to have an obvious influence on the reaction kinetics, with the activity of the catalyst being greatly improved. The supramolecular catalysts performed effectively in the selective oxidation of several different kinds of organic compounds, such as alkenes, alcohols, and sulfides, and the main products were the corresponding epoxides, ketones, sulfoxides, and sulfones. More significantly, the catalyst could be easily recovered by simple filtration, and the catalytic activity was well retained for at least five cycles. Finally, the present strategy has proved to be a general route for the fabrication of supramolecular hybrid catalysts containing common polyoxometalates suitable for various purposes.  相似文献

Three hybrid coordination networks that were constructed from ?‐Keggin polyoxometalate building units and imidazole‐based bridging ligands were prepared under hydrothermal conditions, that is, H[(Hbimb)2(bimb){Zn4PMoV8MoVI4O40}] ? 6 H2O ( 1 ), [Zn(Hbimbp)(bimbp)3{Zn4PMoV8MoVI4O40}] ? DMF ? 3.5 H2O ( 2 ), and H[Zn2(timb)2(bimba)2Cl2{Zn4PMoV8MoVI4O40}] ? 7 H2O ( 3 ) (bimb=1,4‐bis(1‐imidazolyl)benzene, bimbp=4,4′‐bis(imidazolyl)biphenyl, timb=1,3,5‐tris(1‐imidazolyl)benzene, bimba=3,5‐bis(1‐imidazolyl)benzenamine). All three compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The mixed valence of the Mo centers was analyzed by XPS spectroscopy and bond‐valence sum calculations. In all three compounds, the ?‐Keggin polyoxometalate (POM) units acted as nodes that were connected by rigid imidazole‐based bridging ligands to form hybrid coordination networks. In compound 1 , 1D zigzag chains extended to form a 3D supramolecular architecture through intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions. Compound 2 consisted of 2D curved sheets, whilst compound 3 contained chiral 2D networks. Because of the intrinsic reducing properties of ?‐Keggin POM species, noble‐metal nanoparticles were loaded onto these POM‐based coordination networks. Thus, compounds 1 – 3 were successfully loaded with Ag nanoparticles, and the corresponding composite materials exhibited high catalytic activities for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol.  相似文献

We report an aqueous‐phase synthetic route to copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) using a copper–surfactant complex and tests of their catalytic efficiency for a simple nitrophenol reduction reaction under atmospheric conditions. Highly stable, water‐dispersed CuNPs were obtained with the aid of polyacrylic acid (PAA), but not with other dispersants like surfactants or polymethacrylic acid (PMAA). The diameter of the CuNPs could be controlled in the range of approximately 30–85 nm by modifying the ratio of the metal precursor to PAA. The catalytic reduction of p‐nitrophenol to p‐aminophenol takes place at the surface of CuNPs at room temperature and was accurately monitored by UV/Vis spectroscopy. The catalytic efficiency was found to be remarkably high for these PAA‐capped CuNPs, given the fact that at the same time PAA is efficiently preventing their oxidation as well. The activity was found to increase as the size of the CuNPs decreased. It can therefore be concluded that the synthesized CuNPs are catalytically highly efficient in spite of the presence of a protective PAA coating, which provides them with a long shelf life and thereby enhances the application potential of these CuNPs.  相似文献

A new cationic triazole‐based metal–organic framework encapsulating Keggin‐type polyoxometalates, with the molecular formula [Co(BBPTZ)3][HPMo12O40]?24 H2O [compound 1 ; BBPTZ=4,4′‐bis(1,2,4‐triazol‐1‐ylmethyl)biphenyl] is hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, powder X‐ray diffraction, and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The structure of compound 1 contains a non‐interpenetrated 3D CdSO4 (cds)‐type framework with two types of channels that are interconnected with each other; straight channels that are occupied by the Keggin‐type POM anions, and wavelike channels that contain lattice water molecules. The catalytic activity of compound 1 in the oxidative desulfurization reaction indicates that it is not only an effective and size‐selective heterogeneous catalyst, but it also exhibits distinct structural stability in the catalytic reaction system.  相似文献

An organic–inorganic molecular hybrid containing the Dawson polyoxometalate, ((C4H9)4N)5H‐ [P2V3W15O59(OCH2)3CNHCOC15H31], was synthesized and its surfactant‐like amphiphilic properties, represented by the formation of bilayer vesicles, were studied in polar solvents. The vesicle size decreases with both decreasing hybrid concentration and with increasing polarity of the solvent, independently. The self‐assembly behavior of this hybrid can be controlled by introducing different counterions into the acetonitrile solutions. The addition of ZnCl2 and NaI can cause a gradual decrease and increase of vesicular sizes, respectively. Tetraalkylammonium bromide is found to disassemble the vesicle assemblies. Moreover, the original counterions of the hybrid can be replaced with protons, resulting in pH‐dependent formation of vesicles in aqueous solutions. The hybrid surfactant can further form micro‐needle structures in aqueous solutions upon addition of Ca2+ ions.  相似文献

Polyoxometalate (POM) complex (DODA)2[Mo6O19] with a symmetrical linear structure was prepared conveniently by replacing the tetrabutylammonium (TBA) counterions of Lindquist‐type cluster (TBA)2[Mo6O19] with cationic surfactant dioctadecyldimethylammonium (DODA). A helical self‐assembled structure of the complex was formed in dichloromethane/propanol. The dynamically reversible transformation between helical and spherical assemblies on alternate UV irradiation and H2O2 oxidation was characterized by SEM, TEM, and UV/Vis studies. The redox‐controlled morphology change is modulated by variation of the electrostatic interactions between the inorganic polyanion and the organic cation DODA through controlling the redox properties of the POM component, as shown by the XRD, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopic, and 1H NMR measurements. The strategy applied herein is a unique example of targeted smart and helical assembly of POM complexes.  相似文献

Hybridizations of redox‐active polyoxometalates (POMs) with single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have been widely investigated for their diverse applications. For the purpose of constructing high‐quality electronic devices, controlling charge transfer within POM/SWNT hybrids is an inevitable issue. As determined by means of fluorescence spectroscopy, electron transfer between SWNTs and a common POM dopant, phosphomolybdic acid (PMo12), can be tuned simply by an alteration of nanotube surfactant type from anionic to nonionic. The mechanism is attributed to the influence of surfactant type on the stabilization of the electron donor–acceptor hybrid and effect of surfactant–nanotube interactions. These results will be important to control charge‐transport behavior in nanohybrids consisting of carbon nanotubes.  相似文献

Nanoparticulate gold supported on a Keggin‐type polyoxometalate (POM), Cs4[α‐SiW12O40]?n H2O, was prepared by the sol immobilization method. The size of the gold nanoparticles (NPs) was approximately 2 nm, which was almost the same as the size of the gold colloid precursor. Deposition of gold NPs smaller than 2 nm onto POM (Au/POM) was essential for a high catalytic activity for CO oxidation. The temperature for 50 % CO conversion was ?67 °C. The catalyst showed extremely high stability for at least one month at 0 °C with full conversion. The catalytic activity and the reaction mechanism drastically changed at temperatures higher than 40 °C, showing a unique behavior called a U‐shaped curve. It was revealed by IR measurement that Auδ+ was a CO adsorption site and that adsorbed water promoted CO oxidation for the Au/POM catalyst. This is the first report on CO oxidation utilizing Au/POMs catalysts, and there is a potential for expansion to various gas‐phase reactions.  相似文献

Although many noble‐metal catalysts have been used for the oxidation of organosilanes, there has been less success with non‐noble‐metal catalysts. Here, unsupported nanoporous copper (np‐Cu) is used to catalyze the oxidation of organosilanes under mild conditions. It is the first time that this reaction has been achieved with a heterogeneous copper catalyst with high activity and selectivity. Both water and alcohols are used as oxidants and the corresponding organosilanols and organosilyl ethers are obtained in high yield. The possible mechanism was obtained by kinetic studies. The catalyst could be reused at least five times without evident loss of activity. As a novel green catalyst np‐Cu should play a unique role in organic synthesis.  相似文献

Platinum is the most versatile element in catalysis, but it is rare and its high price limits large‐scale applications, for example in fuel‐cell technology. Still, conventional catalysts use only a small fraction of the Pt content, that is, those atoms located at the catalyst’s surface. To maximize the noble‐metal efficiency, the precious metal should be atomically dispersed and exclusively located within the outermost surface layer of the material. Such atomically dispersed Pt surface species can indeed be prepared with exceptionally high stability. Using DFT calculations we identify a specific structural element, a ceria “nanopocket”, which binds Pt2+ so strongly that it withstands sintering and bulk diffusion. On model catalysts we experimentally confirm the theoretically predicted stability, and on real Pt‐CeO2 nanocomposites showing high Pt efficiency in fuel‐cell catalysis we also identify these anchoring sites.  相似文献

We use polyoxometalates as precursors for the preparation of heterogeneous catalysts. In the starting molecular precursor [{Ru(C6Me6)}2Mo5O18{Ru(C6Me6)(H2O)}], three ruthenium arene fragments are supported on a formally lacunary Lindqvist‐type polyoxomolybdate. This species was introduced by incipient wetness impregnation into the porosity of a SBA‐15‐type mesoporous silica. The evolution of the system under reducing atmosphere is followed by several methods, such as temperature‐programmed reduction (TPR), Raman, and X‐ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS). The results indicate that the polyoxometalate structure is retained after grafting on silica and allows the stabilization of Ru0 nanoparticles after reduction. The resulting system exhibits interesting catalytic activity in benzene hydrogenation.  相似文献

Noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) with 1–5 nm diameter obtained from NaHB4 reduction possess high catalytic activity. However, they are rarely used directly. This work presents a facile, versatile, and efficient aerosol‐spray approach to deliver noble‐metal NPs into metal oxide supports, while maintaining the size of the NPs and the ability to easily adjust the loading amount. In comparison with the conventional spray approach, the size of the loaded noble‐metal nanoparticles can be significantly decreased. An investigation of the 4‐nitrophenol hydrogenation reaction catalyzed by these materials suggests that the NPs/oxides catalysts have high activity and good endurance. For 1 % Au/CeO2 and Pd/Al2O3 catalysts, the rate constants reach 2.03 and 1.46 min?1, which is much higher than many other reports with the same noble‐metal loading scale. Besides, the thermal stability of catalysts can be significantly enhanced by modifying the supports. Therefore, this work contributes an efficient method as well as some guidance on how to produce highly active and stable supported noble‐metal catalysts.  相似文献

Herein, we present an electrochemically assisted method for the reduction of graphene oxide (GO) and the assembly of polyoxometalate clusters on the reduced GO (rGO) nanosheets for the preparation of nanocomposites. In this method, the Keggin‐type H4SiW12O40 (SiW12) is used as an electrocatalyst. During the reduction process, SiW12 transfers the electrons from the electrode to GO, leading to a deep reduction of GO in which the content of oxygen‐containing groups is decreased to around 5 %. Meanwhile, the strong adsorption effect between the SiW12 clusters and rGO nanosheets induces the spontaneous assembly of SiW12 on rGO in a uniformly dispersed state, forming a porous, powder‐type nanocomposite. More importantly, the nanocomposite shows an enhanced capacity of 275 mAh g?1 as a cathode active material for lithium storage, which is 1.7 times that of the pure SiW12. This enhancement is attributed to the synergistic effect of the conductive rGO support and the well‐dispersed state of the SiW12 clusters, which facilitate the electron transfer and lithium‐ion diffusion, respectively. Considering the facile, mild, and environmentally benign features of this method, it is reasonable as a general route for the incorporation of more types of functional polyoxometalates onto graphene matrices; this may allow the creation of nanocomposites for versatile applications, for example, in the fields of catalysis, electronics, and energy storage.  相似文献

Decyl‐, dodecyl‐, and tetradecyltrimethylammonium cations were combined with the catalytic polyoxometalate [PW12O40]3? anion to give spherical and monodisperse nanoparticles that are able to stabilize emulsions in the presence of water and an aromatic solvent. This triphasic liquid/solid/liquid system, based on a catalytic surfactant, is particularly efficient as a reaction medium for epoxidation reactions that involve hydrogen peroxide. The reactions proceed at competitive rates with straightforward separation of the phases by centrifugation. Such catalytic “Pickering” emulsions combine the advantages of heterogeneous catalysis and biphasic catalysis without the drawbacks (e.g., catalyst leaching or separation time).  相似文献

Self‐assembly of metavanadate and organosilver(I) salts leads to a novel dodecahedrane‐like [Ag30(tBuS)20]10+ silver(I) thiolate nanocage that tightly wraps an unusual C2h polyoxovanadate anion. The polyoxovanadate core undergoes transformation to a D3d configuration upon acidification, and reverts back to its original C2h structure upon addition of base. Chromism was observed for the silver(I) thiolate cluster during the configurational change of the central polyoxovanadate core; the color of the solution changes reversibly from green to dark yellow. This work represents the first reported example of chromic polyoxometalate‐templated silver(I) thiolate shells that respond to external acid–base stimuli. It also represents an important advance in providing crystallographic proof that structural transformations occur in a nanoscale core–shell cluster.  相似文献

The preparation of 3D hierarchical nanostructures by a simple and versatile strategy of self‐assembly of dopamine (DA) and phosphotungstic acid (PTA) is described. The size and morphology of the hierarchical nanostructures could be simply controlled by varying the ratio of the two components, their concentrations, and the pH of the initial Tris‐HCl solution. The self‐assembly of the flowerlike microspheres has been found to involve a two‐stage growth process. Moreover, use of the hierarchical nanostructures as a possible carrier for an anticancer drug in chemotherapy has been explored. The nanostructures showed an intriguing pH‐dependent release behavior, making them promising for applications in biomedical science.  相似文献
