In this paper we introduce the concept of a tripled coincidence point for a pair of nonlinear contractive mappings F : X3 → X and g : X → X. The obtained results extend recent coincidence theorems due to ?iri? and Lakshmikantham [V. Lakshmikantham, L. ?iri?, L., Coupled fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 70 (2009) 4341-4349].  相似文献

In this paper, we extend the coupled fixed point theorems for mixed monotone operators F:X×XX obtained in [T.G. Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. 65 (7) (2006) 1379–1393] by significantly weakening the contractive condition involved. Our technique of proof is essentially different and more natural. An example as well as an application to periodic BVP is also given in order to illustrate the effectiveness of our generalizations.  相似文献

In this paper, the concept of a pair of non-linear contraction type mappings in a metric space of hyperbolic type is introduced and the conditions guaranteeing the existence of a common fixed point for such non-linear contractions are established. Presented results generalize and improve some of the known results. An example is constructed to show that our theorems are genuine generalizations of the main theorems of Assad, ?iri?, Khan et al., Rhoades and Imdad and Kumar. One of the possible applications of our results is also presented.  相似文献

In this paper, some topological concepts and definitions are generalized to cone metric spaces. It is proved that every cone metric space is first countable topological space and that sequentially compact subsets axe compact. Also, we define diametrically contractive mappings and asymptotically diametrically contractive mappings on cone metric spaces to obtain some fixed point theorems by assuming that our cone is strongly minihedral.  相似文献

A common fixed point theorem for weakly commuting quasi contractive self mappings with contracting orbital diameters in metric spaces [V. Berinde, A common fixed point theorem for quasi contractive type mappings, Ann. Univ. Sci. Budapest. 46 (2003) 81-90] is extended to the more general class of compatible quasi contractive self mappings. Our result does extend and generalize numerous related results in literature.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of a mixed g-monotone mapping and prove coupled coincidence and coupled common fixed point theorems for such nonlinear contractive mappings in partially ordered complete metric spaces. Presented theorems are generalizations of the recent fixed point theorems due to Bhaskar and Lakshmikantham [T.G. Bhaskar, V. Lakshmikantham, Fixed point theorems in partially ordered metric spaces and applications, Nonlinear Anal. TMA 65 (2006) 1379–1393] and include several recent developments.  相似文献

Two common fixed point theorems for mapping of complete metric space under a general contractive inequality of integral type and satisfying minimal commutativity conditions are proved. These results extend and improve several previous results, particularly Theorem 4 of Rhoades [B.E. Rhoades, Two fixed point theorems for mappings satisfying a general contractive condition of integral type, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 63 (2003) 4007-4013] and Theorem 4 of Sessa [S. Sessa, On a weak commutativity condition of mappings in fixed point considerations, Publ. Inst. Math. (Beograd) (N.S.) 32 (46) (1982) 149-153].  相似文献

We prove a fixed point theorem for contractive mappings of Boyd and Wong type in generalized metric spaces, a concept recently introduced in [BRANCIARI, A.: A fixed point theorem of Banach-Caccioppoli type on a class of generalized metric spaces, Publ. Math. Debrecen 57 (2000), 31–37].   相似文献

In this paper,we discuss some new fixed point theorems for a pair of multivalued operators which satisfy generalized contractive condition. Our results are the extension and improvement of corresponding results of single-valued operators. Finally, some examples are given to illustrate the usability of our results.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce the concept of a w-compatible mappings to obtain coupled coincidence point and coupled point of coincidence for nonlinear contractive mappings in cone metric space with a cone having non-empty interior. Coupled common fixed point theorems for such mappings are also proved. Our results generalize, extend and unify several well known comparable results in the literature. Results are supported by three examples.  相似文献

The existence theorems of common fixed points for two weakly increasing mappings satisfying an almost generalized contractive condition in ordered metric spaces are proved. Some comparative example are constructed which illustrate the values of the obtained results in comparison to some of the existing ones in literature.  相似文献

In this paper, the famous Banach contraction principle and Caristi's fixed point theorem are generalized to the case of multi-valued mappings. Our results are extensions of the well-known Nadler's fixed point theorem [S.B. Nadler Jr., Multi-valued contraction mappings, Pacific J. Math. 30 (1969) 475-487], as well as of some Caristi type theorems for multi-valued operators, see [N. Mizoguchi, W. Takahashi, Fixed point theorems for multivalued mappings on complete metric spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 141 (1989) 177-188; J.P. Aubin, Optima and Equilibria. We prove a common fixed point theorem of Gregus type for four mappings satisfying a contractive condition of integral type in metric spaces using the concept of weak compatibility which generalizes Theorem 2 of [A. Djoudi, L. Nisse, Gregus type fixed points for weakly compatible mappings, Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. 10 (2003) 369-378] and other papers. We prove also common fixed point theorems of Gregus type using a strict contractive condition of integral type, a property (E.A) and a common property (E.A) introduced by [M. Aamri, D. El Moutawakil, Some new common fixed point theorems under strict contractive conditions, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 270 (2002) 181-188] and [W. Liu, J. Wu, Z. Li, Common fixed points of single-valued and multi-valued maps, Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 19 (2005) 3045-3055], respectively.  相似文献

We establish coupled coincidence point results for mixed g-monotone mappings under general contractive conditions in partially ordered cone metric spaces over solid cones. We also present results on existence and uniqueness of coupled common fixed points. Our results generalize, extend and unify several well known comparable results in the literature. To illustrate our results and to distinguish them from the earlier ones, we equip the paper with examples.  相似文献
