In this paper, we describe a study of charged particle yield as a function of pT for K*(892)0 and φ (1020) mesons in proton-proton (pp) and Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{{s}_{NN}}$=2.76 TeV in the central rapidity region of ∣y∣<0.5, in a pT range of 0<pT <15 GeV c−1 in pp collisions and in a pT range of 0<pT<20 GeV c−1 in Pb-Pb collisions. We also investigated a very important ratio, the nuclear modification factor, to study the effects of the medium in the most central region, i.e. 0%-5% centrality. For data simulation, we used the EPOS-LHC and EPOS-1.99 models. To check the validity of these models’ simulations, we compared the data obtained from these Monte Carlo simulation programs with ALICE experimental data for $\sqrt{{s}_{NN}}$=2.76 TeV. It was concluded that the models’ predictions for the φ-meson in pp and for the most central Pb-Pb collisions disagreed with the ALICE data, and that the difference increased with pT. This may be connected with the essential role of collective parton behaviors which could not have been taken into account by the models. For K*0 mesons, both programs gave almost the same predictions, and with pT in the interval pT>3 GeV c−1, the predictions were very close to the experimental data. Both models gave higher predictions for the soft pT interval and lower predictions for the hard interactions. The values of the RAA distributions were lower than unity and both models were very close to the ALICE data. It is very interesting that the models were not able to describe the pT distributions, but they gave good predictions for their ratios. This may possibly be due to parton collective behaviors. We observed some additional suppression of K*0 at low values of pT with respect to φ-mesons, which may be related to the role of the masses of the particles in soft interactions. The rising trend for RAA in the region from pT =10 GeV c−1 to 20 GeV c−1 observed by the ALICE experiment was absent for the φ-mesons.  相似文献

The classical Hamiltonian H = p2/2m + ε(q2/2)Σδ[s-(t/T)] has an integrable mapping of the plane, [qn+1, pn+1]= [qn+1+pn, qn+2pn], as its equations of motion. But then by introducing periodic boundary conditions via (mod 1) applied to both q and p variables, the equations of motion become the Arnol'd cat map, [qn+1, pn+1] = [qn + pn, qn + 2pn], (mod 1), revealing it to be one of the simplest fully chaotic systems which can be derived from a Hamiltonian and analyzed. Consequently, we here quantize the Arnol'd cat and examine its quantum motion for signs of chaos using algorithmic complexity as the litmus. Our analysis reveals that the quantum cat is not chaotic in the deep quantum domain nor does it become chaotic in the classical limit as required by the correspondence principle. We therefore conclude that the correspondence principle, as defined herein, fails for the quantum Arnol'd cat.  相似文献

Monte Carlo simulation within the grand canonical ensemble, the histogram reweighting technique, and finite size scaling analysis are used to explore the phase behaviour of heteronuclear dimers, composed of A and B type atoms, on a square lattice. We have found that for the models with attractive BB and AB nearest-neighbour energy, uBB=uAB=−1, and for non-repulsive energy between AA nearest-neighbour sites, uAA<0, the system belongs to the universality class of the two-dimensional Ising model. However, when uAA>0, the system exhibits a non-universal critical behaviour. We have evaluated the dependences of the critical point characteristics on the value of uAA.  相似文献

A computer simulation model is used to study the density profile and flow of a miscible gaseous fluid mixture consisting of differing constituent masses (mA=mB/3) through an open matrix. The density profile is found to decay with the height ∝exp (−mA(B)h), consistent with the barometric height law. The flux density shows a power-law increase ∝(pcp)μ with μ2.3 at the porosity 1−p above the pore percolation threshold 1−pc.  相似文献

We study planar random surfaces on a hypercubic lattice in two and three dimensions by Monte Carlo techniques. Our data are consistent with the formula n0(A;C) Ab0A, where n0(A;C) is the number of planar random surfaces with area A and boundary C. We find b0 = −1.4 ± 0.2, = 5.31 ± 0.03 (for d = 2) and b0 = −1.5 ± 0.2, = 7.13 ± 0.05 (for d = 3). The values of b0 disagree with those obtained from the Polyakov string model.  相似文献

We have used electron spin resonance measurements to derive the temperature and frequency dependences of the field-induced magnetization [M(T, f)] and anisotropy field [Han (T)] in a number of amorphous alloys belonging to the series (FepNi1−p)75P16B6Al3. In re-entrant (p > pc, the critical concentration for ferromagnetism) alloys at hi gh frequencies (f = 35 GHz, field ≈ 12 kOe) M reduces as T3/2 at high T and as T below ≈ 40 K, the deviation from T3/2 becoming more marked as pp+c. For p close to pc, lowering the frequency first causes the T term to increase and ultimately ( ≈ 4 GHz) changes the variation of M with T to that discovered previously for concentrated spin glasses, namely M is constant at low T and drops linearly at high temperatures. For the re-entrants, the results are interpreted on the basis of a model which invokes an energy gap in the spin-wave spectrum, introduces a non-zero density of states of the gap energy and takes into consideration a low-q cut-off in the spin-wave integral in thelow-T (T) regime.In the concentrated spin glasses [M (0) - M (T)]/ M (0) is well represented by the function [exp (Δ / T) - 1]-1, where Δ has values close to the corresponding Curie-Weiss temperatures θp but much larger than the respective spin glass transition temperatures TSG. The temperature dependence of Han is largely given by the function (1 - T/T*), where T* is equal to the zero-field freezing temperature for the re-entrants and TSG for the spin glasses, respectively.  相似文献

The 12C(γ,pn) and 12C(γ,pp) reactions have been studied using tagged photons of energy Eγ = 150–400 MeV. Recoil momentum distributions are compared to the results of Monte Carlo calculations based on a two-nucleon photon absorption model and two different phase space models. The 12C(γ,pn) data at low missing energy are consistent with absorption on 1p2 and 1s1p nucleon pairs.  相似文献

A simple, new type of correlated wave function is proposed for the studies of normal two-electron atomic systems: ψ(r1, r2) = ΣcmΦm(r1, r2) with Φm(r1, r2) = exp[−(r1 + r2)]/(br12 + a)m, where , a, b are non-linear variational parameters. A notable feature of this basis function is that only three terms are required within the framework of the Raleigh-Ritz variational principle to obtain fairly accurate energy eigenvalues and satisfactory cusp conditions. The non-linear variational parameters are optimised by using the Monte Carlo technique.  相似文献

It is known that the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation is a geodesic flow of an L2 metric on the Bott–Virasoro group. This can also be interpreted as a flow on the space of projective connections on S1. The space of differential operators Δ(n)=∂n+u2n−2++un form the space of extended or generalized projective connections. If a projective connection is factorizable Δ(n)=(∂−((n+1)/2−1)p1)(∂+(n−1)/2pn) with respect to quasi primary fields pi’s, then these fields satisfy ∑i=1n((n+1)/2−i)pi=0. In this paper we discuss the factorization of projective connection in terms of affine connections. It is shown that the Burgers equation and derivative non-linear Schrödinger (DNLS) equation or the Kaup–Newell equation is the Euler–Arnold flow on the space of affine connections.  相似文献

The pressure effect on Tc of polycrystalline and single crystalline YBa2Cu3Ox investigated as a function of oxygen content x by ac-susceptibility measurements under helium pressure. In the overdoped region x> 6.93 the single crystals show a negative dTc/d p, as expected from the charge transfer model. For optimally doped samples with x = 6.93 we find dTc/d P = 0.4 K/GPa which points to pressure effects on Tc aside from charge transfer. In the underdoped region x < 6.93 the dTc/d p values obtained from the experiment depend strongly on the storage temperature of the sample during the experiment. When the samples are stored at temperatures well below 240 K throughout the entire experiment including pressure application and pressure release, dTc/d p increases to approx. 7 K/GPa at x = 6.7 but with a further decrease of the oxygen content the dTc/d p drops to approx. 2 K/GPa at x = 6.4. These effects are intrinsic to the YBa2Cu3Ox structure and can be explained by considering the anisotropic structure of YBa2Cu3Ox. The decrease of the c-axis lattice parameter results in a charge transfer to the CuO2-planes mainly [1], whereas the compression of the a- and b-axis lattice parameter is known to produce different pressure effects which are responsible for the peak in dTc/d p at x = 6.7 [2]. When pressure is changed at room temperature oxygen ordering effects occur which cause a relaxation of Tc to the equilibrium value Tc(p) at this pressure with a time constant depending on the oxygen content x. A decrease x results in a peak effect in dTc/d p at x = 6.7 again, which is enhanced to approx. 12 K/GPa. If the oxygen content is decreased further, dTc/d p first drops to 5 K/GPa at x = 6.6, but the increases to values of more than 20 K/GPa for x < 6.42. These giant pressure effects at low oxygen contents are mainly caused by a reversible Tc increase (dTc/d p)O due to pressure induced oxygen ordering via oxygen motion between unit cells.  相似文献

To search for new candidates of the true and simultaneous two-proton(2 p) radioactivity, the 2 p decay energies(Q2 p) are extracted by the Weizs?cker–Skyrme-4(WS4) model, the finite-range droplet model(FRDM), the Koura–Tachibana–Uno–Yamada(KTUY) model and the Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov mean-field model with the BSk29 Skyrme interaction(HFB29). Then, the 2 p radioactivity half-lives are calculated within the generalized liquid drop model by inputting the four types of Q2 pvalues. By the energy and half-life constraints, it is found that the probable 2 p decay candidates are the nuclei beyond the proton-drip line in the region of Z≤50 based on the WS4 and KTUY mass models. For the FRDM mass model, the probable 2 p decay candidates are found in the region of Z≤44. However, the 2p-decaying candidates are predicted in the region of Z≤58 by the HFB29 mass model. It means that the probable 2 p decay candidates of Z50 are only predicted by the HFB29 mass model. Finally, the competition between the true 2p radioactivity and α-decay for the nuclei above the N=Z=50 shell closures is discussed. It is shown that ~(101)Te,~(111)Ba and ~(114)Ce prefer to 2p radioactivity and the dominant decay mode of ~(107)Xe and ~(116)Ce is α-decay.  相似文献

Within a real-space renormalization-group framework, we approach the cubic lattice through a D = 3 diamond-like hierarchical lattice. The model is a standard, nearest-neighbor, Ising spin glass with coupling constants {Jij} distributed according to the family of continuous probability distributions Pq(Jij) ∝ 1/[1 + (q − 1)Jij2/2J2]1/(q − 1) (if 1 + (q − 1) Jij2/2J2 > 0, and zero otherwise; q ). Such distributions, which arise naturally in the treatment, within the recently proposed nonextensive thermostatistics, of anomalous diffusion, reproduce the usual, Gaussian case, for q → 1. Moreover, they present a second moment Jij2 proportional to (5 − 3q)−1 for q < 5/3, diverging for q ≥ 5/3, but keeping a finite width at midheight. In the limit q → 3, Pq(Jij) collapses with the abscissa, and so the width at midheight diverges. We compute the q-dependence of the spin-glass critical temperature Tc. We show numerically that Tc does not scale with Jij21/2 (contrary to the usual belief), but rather with the width at midheight of Pq(Jij). Our results suggest that Tc vanishes as −1/q when q → −∞; furthermore, we verified that Tc diverges exponentially when q approaches 3 from below.  相似文献

Photoelectron spectroscopy results on single crystals of the superconductors Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8,Bi2Sr2CuO6, Ba0.6K0.4BiO3 and the semiconductor Ba0.9K0.1BiO3 are reported for the photon energy region around the O K absorption threshold. The development of the O-KVV Auger structure has been carefully monitored as a function of photon energy. A non-monotonic behavior displaying a feature at a constant binding energy of about 14 eV was found for Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Bi2Sr2CuO6 in a narrow photon energy region of 1 eV at the main edge of the O K absorption spectrum around 530 eV. The corresponding enhancement, connected with the autoionization of O 2p states, is absent in Ba1−xKxBiO 3 in contrast to Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 and Bi2Sr2CuO6. The resonant enhancement is more pronounced for Bi2Sr2CuO6 as compared to Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8, which can be explained by a lower charge carrier concentration in the former case, leading to a more localized nature of intermediate O 2p states. The model parameters Cu dd and O pp Coulomb interactions and the charge transfer energy Δ are estimated from the experiments.  相似文献

微带超晶格在磁场和太赫兹场调控下表现出丰富而复杂的动力学行为, 研究微带电子在外场作用下的输运性质对于太赫兹器件设计与研制具有重要意义. 本文采用准经典的运动方程描述了超晶格微带电子在沿超晶格生长方向(z方向)的THz场和相对于z轴倾斜的磁场共同作用下的非线性动力学特性. 研究表明, 在太赫兹场和倾斜磁场共同作用下, 超晶格微带电子随时间的演化表现出周期和混沌等新奇的运动状态. 采用庞加莱分支图详细研究了微带电子在磁场和太赫兹场调控下的运动规律, 给出了电子运行于周期和混沌运动状态的参数区间. 在电场和磁场作用下, 微带电子将产生布洛赫振荡和回旋振荡, 形成复杂的协同耦合振荡. 太赫兹场与这些协同振荡模式之间的相互作用是导致电子表现出周期态、混沌态以及倍周期分叉等现象的主要原因.  相似文献

An iterated function system (IFS) over a compact metric space X is defined by a set of contractive maps wi: XX, i = 1,…,N, with associated nonzero probabilities pi > 0, pi = 1. The “parallel” action of the maps defines a unique compact invariant attractor set A X which supports an invariant measure μ and which is balanced with respect to the pi. For linear , the invariance of μ yields a relation between the moments gn = ∫ χn dμ which permits their recursive computation from the initial value g0 = 1. For nonlinear wi, however, the moment relations are incomplete and do not permit a recursive computation. This paper describes two methods of obtaining accurate estimates of the moments when the IFS maps wi are polynomials: (i) application of the necessary Hausdorff conditions on the gi to obtain convergent upper and lower bounds and (ii) a perturbation expansion approach. We investigate the kinetics of domain growth in the three-dimensional Ising model with quenched random site dilution, using Monte Carlo simulation technique. A crossover from the power law growth regime to a much slower growth observed in our simulation is interpreted through the roughening of the interfaces by the quenched impurities. The results are also compared with the corresponding results in two dimensions.  相似文献

The exact perturbation approach is used to derive the elementary correlation lengths ξi and related mass gaps mi of the two-dimensional dilute AL lattice model in regimes 1 and 2 for L odd from the Bethe ansatz solution. In regime 2 the A3 model is the E8 lattice realisation of the two-dimensional Ising model in a magnetic field at T = Tc The calculations for the A3 model in regime 2 start from the eight thermodynamically significant string types found in previous numerical studies. These string types are seen to be consistent in the ordered high field limit. The eight masses obtained reduce with the approach to criticality to the ES masses predicted by Zamolodchikov, thus providing a further direct lattice determination of the Es mass spectrum.  相似文献
