Kinetics of oxidation of dl-pipecolinate by bis(hydrogenperiodato)argentate(III) complex anion, [Ag(HIO6)2]5−, has been studied in aqueous alkaline medium in the temperature range of 25–40 °C. The oxidation kinetics is first order in the silver(III) and pipecolinate concentrations. The observed second-order rate constant, decreasing with increasing [periodate] is virtually independent of [OH]. α-Aminoadipate as the major oxidation product of pipecolinate has been identified by chromatographic analysis. A reaction mechanism is proposed that involves a pre-equilibrium between [Ag(HIO6)2]5− and [Ag(HIO6)(H2O)(OH)]2−, a mono-periodate coordinated silver(III) complex. Both Ag(III) complexes are reduced in parallel by pipecolinate in rate-determining steps (described by k 1 for the former Ag(III) species and k 2 for the latter). The determined rate constants and their associated activation parameters are k 1 (25 °C) = 0.40 ± 0.02 M−1 s−1, ∆H 1 = 53 ± 2 kJ mol−1, ∆S 1 = −74 ± 5 J K−1 mol−1 and k 2 (25 °C) = 0.64 ± 0.02 M−1 s−1, ∆H 2 = 41 ± 2 kJ mol−1, ∆S 2 = −110 ± 5 J K−1 mol−1. The time-resolved spectra, a positive dependence of the rate constants on ionic strength of the reaction medium, and the consistency of pre-equilibrium constants derived from different reaction systems support the proposed reaction mechanism.  相似文献

Mephenesin is being used as a central‐acting skeletal muscle relaxant. Oxidation of mephenesin by bis(hydrogenperiodato)argentate(III) complex anion, [Ag(HIO6)2]5?, has been studied in aqueous alkaline medium. The major oxidation product of mephenesin has been identified as 3‐(2‐methylphenoxy)‐2‐ketone‐1‐propanol by mass spectrometry. An overall second‐order kinetics has been observed with first order in [Ag(III)] and [mephenesin]. The effects of [OH?] and periodate concentration on the observed second‐order rate constants k′ have been analyzed, and accordingly an empirical expression has been deduced: k′ = (ka + kb[OH?])K1/{f([OH?])[IO?4]tot + K1}, where [IO?4]tot denotes the total concentration of periodate, ka = (1.35 ± 0.14) × 10?2M?1s?1 and kb = 1.06 ± 0.01 M?2s?1 at 25.0°C, and ionic strength 0.30 M. Activation parameters associated with ka and kb have been calculated. A mechanism has been proposed to involve two pre‐equilibria, leading to formation of a periodato‐Ag(III)‐mephenesin complex. In the subsequent rate‐determining steps, this complex undergoes inner‐sphere electron transfer from the coordinated drug to the metal center by two paths: one path is independent of OH? whereas the other is facilitated by a hydroxide ion. The hydrodynamic and conformational properties of molecules of poly(N,N-diallyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride) and N,N-diallyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride-maleic acid copolymers of different compositions in solutions with various ionic-strength and pH values, as well as of the polyelectrolyte complex based on the copolymer with dodecyl sulfate anions in chloroform, are studied. For poly(N,N-diallyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride) molecules in a 1 M NaCl solution, the Kuhn segment length and the hydrodynamic diameter of the chain are estimated as A = 3.9 nm and d = 0.48 nm, respectively. In acidic solutions with pH 3.5, the copolymers demonstrate behavior typical for polyelectrolytes. In an alkaline solution with pH 13, when 1 M NaCl is added to the solution of the copolymer containing 29 mol % maleic acid units, there is an antipolyelectrolyte effect that manifests itself as an increase in the intrinsic viscosity of the copolymer and in the hydrodynamic radius of its molecules. It is found that an increase in the fraction of maleic acid units in the copolymer from 12 to 42 mol % brings about a reduction in the equilibrium rigidity of its macromolecules from 4.1 to 2.2 nm. The equilibrium rigidity of polyelectrolyte-complex molecules is higher than that of initial copolymer molecules owing to steric interactions arising between the aliphatic chains of dodecyl sulfate anions. In an electric field, the molecules of the complex are oriented owing to the induced dipole moment resulting from the displacement of dodecyl sulfate anions along the chain contour.  相似文献

A copolymer of N,N-diallyl-N,N-dimethylammonium chloride with maleic acid of constant composition was prepared under the conditions of radical initiation. The possibility of the functionalization of the copolymer with drugs containing amino groups by polymer-analogous transformations was examined. Conditions were found for preparing conjugates of the copolymer with isoniazid. The structures and the quantitative compositions of the conjugates were determined by 13С NMR spectroscopy, and the possibility of preparing conjugates with controlled drug content was demonstrated.  相似文献

The kinetics of back-extraction of Pu(IV) from 30% Tri-Butyl-Phosphate/Odourless Kerosene (TBP/OK) into a nitric acid solution containing N,N-dimethylhydroxylamine (DMHAN) have been investigated using a Lewis cell. The different parameters affecting the back-extraction rate of Pu(IV) such as plutonium, nitric acid, DMHAN concentration in addition to temperature, stirring speed were separately studied and a rate equation was deduced. Kinetics of uncatalyzed and ruthenium(III) catalyzed oxidation of monoethanolamine by N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) has been studied in an aqueous acetic acid medium in the presence of sodium acetate and perchloric acid, respectively. In the uncatalyzed oxidation the kinetic orders are: the first order in NBS, a fractional order in the substrate. The rate of the reaction increased with an increase in the sodium acetate concentration and decreased with an increase in the perchloric acid concentration. This indicates that free amine molecules are the reactive species. Addition of halide ions results in a decrease in the kinetic rate, which is noteworthy. Both in absence and presence of a catalyst, a decrease in the dielectric constant of the medium decreases the kinetic rate pointing out that these are dipole—dipole reactions. A relatively higher oxidation state of ruthenium i.e., Ru(V) was found to be the active species in Ru(III) catalyzed reactions. A suitable mechanism consistent with the observations has been proposed and a rate law has been derived to explain the kinetic orders.  相似文献

The oxidation of L-isoleucine by alkaline diperiodatoargentate(III) (DPA) at 298 K and a constant ionic strength of 0.80 mol dm−3 was studied spectrophotometrically. The stoichiometry is [L-isoleucine]: [DPA] = 1:2. The reaction is first order in [DPA] and has less than unit order in both [L-isoleucine] and [alkali] and retarding effect in The oxidation reaction in alkaline medium has been shown to proceed via a L-isoleucine–DPA complex, which further reacts with one molecule of DPA in a rate determining step followed by other fast steps to give the products. Spot test and IR were used to identify the main products. The reaction constants involved in the different steps of the mechanism are calculated. The activation parameters with respect to the slow step of the mechanism are computed and discussed, and thermodynamic quantities are also determined. The probable active species of oxidant have been identified. The kinetics of oxidation of the sugars d(+)Melibiose (mel) and Cellobiose (cel) by N-bromoacetamide (NBA) in the presence of Rh(III) chloride as homogeneous catalyst in acidic medium at 45 °C have been investigated. The reactions are first-order with respect to [NBA], [Rh(III)] and [substrate]. The rate is proportional to [H+]. No effects of [Hg(II)], [NHA] or [Cl] on the rates were observed. Ionic strength and dielectric constant also have little effect. The observed kinetic data, available literature and spectroscopic evidence lead us to conclude that NBAH+ and [RhCl5(H2O)]2− are the reactive species of NBA and Rh(III) chloride, respectively. The rate-determining step of the proposed reaction path common for both sugars gives an activated complex by the interaction of a charged complex species and neutral sugar molecule, which in the subsequent steps disproportionates into the reaction products with the regeneration of catalyst. The reactions have been studied at four different temperatures and with the help of first-order rate constant values, various activation parameters have been calculated. The main oxidation products of the reactions were identified as arabinonic acid, formic acid and lyxonic acid in the case of mel and arabinonic acid and formic acid in the case of cel.  相似文献

Conformers of the biologically active compounds CH3P(O)(OR)(SCH2CH2NR 2 ), where (I) R = i-C4H9, R′ = C2H5 and (II) R = C2H5, R′ = i-C3H7, are calculated within the AM1 level of theory. The elongated and twisted forms with maximum and minimum distances between a nitrogen atom and those of a phosphorus tetrahedron, respectively, and bearing a syn and anti oriented alkoxy group relative to a phosphoryl oxygen, are studied. It is found that the differences between the energy, electronic, and geometric parameters of these forms are apparent in differences between their properties, e.g., the ability to participate in complexation and protonation, reactions that to some extent simulate the interaction between a substance and a biological object.  相似文献

Synthesis of amino acid conjugates of glycyrrhizic acid with the use of N-hydroxyphthalimide, N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, and tert-butyl esters of L-amino acids (valine, isoleucine, phenylalanine, and methionine) was performed followed by deprotection with trifluoroacetic acid. The target amino acid conjugates were isolated by column chromatography on silica gel in 40–45% yield. The structure of the prepared compounds was confirmed by IR and 13C NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

N-Chloroacetylcytisine was synthesized by acylation of (–)-cytisine. Stable Z- and E-conformers with respect to rotational isomerism around the N-12–CO bond were found in PMR spectra at room temperature. The point at which PMR resonances of the Z- and E-conformers coalesced upon heating was measured. The transition barrier between the conformers was estimated.  相似文献

Reactions of acetamide and benzamide with N-allyltrifluoromethanesulfonamide in the presence of t-BuOCl–NaI afforded exclusively 2,5-bis(chloromethyl)-1,4-bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)piperazine. A modification of 1-nitrocyclohexene synthesis is proposed; its reaction with phenylhydrazine and benzoic acid hydrazide is shown to afford monoadducts, and with hydrazine hydrate, bisaduct. With diphenylguanidine occurs heterocyclization to 1-phenyl-2-N-phenylamino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzimidazole, whose structure is confirmed by the X-ray diffraction data. The analysis performed for this compound of the electron density distribution function in the crystal made it possible to estimate the charge distribution, π-electrons delocalization nature, and the role of N-H…N, C-H…H-C and C-H…C interactions in the formation of the crystal packing.  相似文献

The densities, viscosities and refractive indices of N,N /-ethylene-bis(salicylideneiminato)-diaquochromium(III) chloride, [Cr(salen)(H2O)2]Cl, in aqueous dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) with different mass fractions (w 2 = 0.20, 0.40, 0.60, 0.80 and 1.00) of DMSO were determined at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K under atmospheric pressure. From measured densities, viscosities and refractive indices the apparent molar volumes (V φ ), standard partial molar volume (V φ 0 ), the slope (S V * ), standard isobaric partial molar expansibility (φ E 0 ) and its temperature dependence (?φ E 0 /?T) p , the viscosity B-coefficient, its temperature dependence (?B/?T), solvation number (S n ) and apparent molar refractivity (R D φ ), etc., were calculated and discussed on the basis of ion–ion and ion–solvent interactions. These results revealed that the solutions are characterized by ion–solvent interactions rather than by ion–ion interactions and the complex behaves as a long range structure maker. Thermodynamics of viscous flow was discussed in terms of transition state theory.  相似文献

Kinetics of N-chloromethylamine decomposition in an aqueous base medium and chloroform at different temperatures is studied. The decomposition of N-chloromethylamine is found to obey a second order equation in an aqueous base medium at an equimolar ratio of the reagents and a first order equation in chloroform with excess base. The activation energy of N-chloromethylamine decomposition in the both solvents is determined. A mechanism for the reaction is proposed. N-Chloromethylamine is shown to have approximately equal stability in these solvents within the studied temperature range.  相似文献
