We study the G-dimension over local ring homomorphisms with respect to a semi-dualizing complex. Some results that track the behavior of Gorenstein properties over local ring homomorphisms under composition and decomposition are given. As an application, we characterize a dualizing complex for R in terms of the finiteness of the G-dimension over local ring homomorphisms with respect to a semi-dualizing complex.  相似文献

We introduce and study a theory of lower complete intersection dimension over local homomorphisms which encompasses the theory of lower complete intersection dimension for finite modules over local rings introduced by Gerko. In particular, we show that the lower complete intersection dimension over local homomorphisms reflects the complete intersection property of base rings as expected. As an application, we prove that the converse of a theorem of Sather-Wagstaff is also true.  相似文献

his paper studies the connection between sheaf cohomology and local vs. global equivalence for homomorphisms of finitely presented modules over commutative rings. This paper aims to investigate homomorphisms which preserve p-primitive languages. A characterization of p-primitivity-preserving homomorphisms can be detected within finite steps. Also the set of square-freeness-preserving homomorphisms is shown to be a proper subfamily of the set of p-primitivity-preserving homomorphisms. For homomorphisms over an alphabet X with |X|=2, it is also shown that the set of p-primitivity-preserving homomorphisms is a proper subfamily of the set of primitivity-preserving homomorphisms. But it is conjectured to also hold for homomorphisms over an alphabet with more than two letters.  相似文献

This paper consider a special class of finite homomorphisms of complete two-dimensional regular local rings-the so-called “model homomorphi sms.” We show that studying the ramification of morphisms of formal curves induced by these homomorphisms helps identifying the ramification in extensions of two-dimensional local fields. In this paper, we study injective dimension and Gorenstein injective dimension over local ring homomorphisms. Some well-known results are generalized. We prove that the category of left-handed strongly distributive skew lattices with zero and proper homomorphisms is dually equivalent to a category of sheaves over local Priestley spaces. Our result thus provides a non-commutative version of classical Priestley duality for distributive lattices and generalizes the recent development of Stone duality for skew Boolean algebras.  相似文献

The notion of a Priestley relation between Priestley spaces is introduced, and it is shown that there is a duality between the category of bounded distributive lattices and 0-preserving join-homomorphisms and the category of Priestley spaces and Priestley relations. When restricted to the category of bounded distributive lattices and 0-1-preserving homomorphisms, this duality yields essentially Priestley duality, and when restricted to the subcategory of Boolean algebras and 0-preserving join-homomorphisms, it coincides with the Halmos-Wright duality. It is also established a duality between 0-1-sublattices of a bounded distributive lattice and certain preorder relations on its Priestley space, which are called lattice preorders. This duality is a natural generalization of the Boolean case, and is strongly related to one considered by M. E. Adams. Connections between both kinds of dualities are studied, obtaining dualities for closure operators and quantifiers. Some results on the existence of homomorphisms lying between meet and join homomorphisms are given in the Appendix.  相似文献

The local structure of homomorphisms of commutative noetherianrings is investigated from the point of view of dualizing complexes.A concept of finite Gorenstein dimension, which substantiallyweakens the notion of finite flat dimension, is introduced forhomomorphisms. It is shown to impose structural constraints,due to a remarkable equivalence of subcategories of the derivedcategory of all modules. An essential part of this study is the development of relativenotions of dualizing complexes and Bass numbers. It is provedthat the Bass numbers of local homomorphisms are rigid, extendinga known result for local rings. Quasi-Gorenstein homomorphismsare introduced as local homomorphisms that base-change a dualizingcomplex for the source ring into one for the target. We study exponentiability of homomorphisms in varieties of universal algebras close to classical ones. After describing an “almost folklore” general result, we present a purely algebraic proof of “étale implies exponentiable”, alternative to the topologically motivated proof given in one of our previous papers, in a different context. We prove that only isomorphisms are exponentiable homomorphisms in ideal determined varieties and extend this to ideal determined categories. Finally, we give a complete characterization of exponentiable homomorphisms of semimodules over semirings.  相似文献

We discuss Matijevic–Roberts type theorem on strong F-regularity, F-purity, and Cohen–Macaulay F-injective (CMFI for short) property. Related to this problem, we also discuss the base change problem and the openness of loci of these properties. In particular, we define the notion of F-purity of homomorphisms using Radu–André homomorphisms and prove basic properties of it. We also discuss a strong version of strong F-regularity (very strong F-regularity), and compare these two versions of strong F-regularity. As a result, strong F-regularity and very strong F-regularity agree for local rings, F-finite rings, and essentially finite-type algebras over an excellent local rings. We prove the F-pure base change of strong F-regularity.  相似文献

A generalized Mayer-Vietoris sequence involving crossed homomorphisms is established and the construction is applied to the homotopy sequence of the CW-pair (X.X1) to relate the homotopy sequences of (X.X1) and the fibre bundle F → E → X in low dimensions. If there is a partial cross-section of E → X over X2, the classical form, π1 E ~ π1 [xtilde] π1 F as a semidirect product, results. In this article we present a systematic study of the reflexivity properties of homologically finite complexes with respect to semidualizing complexes in the setting of nonlocal rings. One primary focus is the descent of these properties over ring homomorphisms of finite flat dimension, presented in terms of inequalities between generalized G-dimensions. Most of these results are new even when the ring homomorphism is local. The main tool for these analyses is a nonlocal version of the amplitude inequality of Iversen, Foxby, and Iyengar. We provide numerous examples demonstrating the need for certain hypotheses and the strictness of many inequalities.  相似文献

We establish two theorems that refine the classical Stone duality between generalized Boolean algebras and locally compact Boolean spaces. In the first theorem, we prove that the category of left-handed skew Boolean algebras whose morphisms are proper skew Boolean algebra homomorphisms is equivalent to the category of étale spaces over locally compact Boolean spaces whose morphisms are étale space cohomomorphisms over continuous proper maps. In the second theorem, we prove that the category of left-handed skew Boolean -algebras whose morphisms are proper skew Boolean -algebra homomorphisms is equivalent to the category of étale spaces with compact clopen equalizers over locally compact Boolean spaces whose morphisms are injective étale space cohomomorphisms over continuous proper maps.  相似文献

Given graphs X and Y, we define two conic feasibility programs which we show have a solution over the completely positive cone if and only if there exists a homomorphism from X to Y. By varying the cone, we obtain similar characterizations of quantum/entanglement-assisted homomorphisms and three previously studied relaxations of these relations. Motivated by this, we investigate the properties of these “conic homomorphisms” for general (suitable) cones. We also consider two generalized versions of the Lovász theta function, and how they interact with these conic homomorphisms. We prove analogs of several results on classical graph homomorphisms as well as some monotonicity theorems. We also show that one of the generalized theta functions is multiplicative on lexicographic and disjunctive graph products.  相似文献

We introduce the notions of causal paths and causal homotopies, modifications of the traditional notions of paths and homotopies, as more suitable for certain basic constructions in (Lie) semigroup theory. The major result is the construction in this causal context of an analogue of the universal covering semigroup and the demonstration that local homomorphisms on the given semigroup extend to global homomorphisms on it.
