This paper shows that every extended-real-valued lower semi-continuous proper (respectively Lipschitzian) convex function defined on an Asplund space can be represented as the point-wise limit (respectively uniform limit on every bounded set) of a sequence of Lipschitzian convex functions which are locally affine (hence, C) at all points of a dense open subset; and shows an analogous for w-lower semi-continuous proper (respectively Lipschitzian) convex functions defined on dual spaces whose pre-duals have the Radon-Nikodym property.  相似文献

We study in this paper the first-order behavior of value functions in parametric dynamic programming with linear constraints and nonconvex cost functions. We study the degree of compactness of composition operators Cφ acting on weighted Hilbert spaces of entire functions, which include (i) the space of entire Dirichlet series, (ii) the space of entire power series, and (iii) the Fock space (we must have φ(z)=az+b, and it is known that Cφ is compact if and only if |a|<1). More precisely, the sequence (an) of approximation numbers of Cφ is investigated: for (i), we give the exact formula for (an), while for (ii) and (iii) we give upper and lower estimates for an, showing that an behaves like |a|n up to a subexponential factor. In particular, Cφ belongs to all Schatten classes Sp,p>0 as soon as it is compact.  相似文献

We present several integral and exponential inequalities for formal power series and for both arbitrary entire functions of exponential type and generalized Borel transforms. They are obtained through certain limit procedures which involve the multiparameter binomial inequalities, integral inequalities for continuous functions, and weighted norm inequalities for analytic functions. Some applications to the confluent hypergeometric functions, Bessel functions, Laguerre polynomials, and trigonometric functions are discussed. Also some generalizations are given.  相似文献

For U a balanced open subset of a Fréchet space E and F a dual-Banach space we introduce the topology on the space of holomorphic functions from U into F. This topology allows us to construct a predual for which in turn allows us to investigate the topological structure of spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions. In particular, we are able to give necessary and sufficient conditions for the equivalence and compatibility of various topologies on spaces of vector-valued holomorphic functions.  相似文献

We use tensor product techniques to study universality, hypercyclicity and chaos of multipliers defined on operator ideals and of multiplication operators on the space of all continuous and linear operators, thus continuing the work of Kit Chan. We also obtain the first examples of outer multipliers on a Banach algebra which are chaotic in the sense of Devaney, and prove sufficient conditions for the existence of closed subspaces of universal vectors for operators between Fréchet spaces.  相似文献
