In this article the topologically exact sequences of locally convex spaces are characterized for which for every locally convex space F the map id : FE F Q is a homomorphism, or equivalently, the map id L : FK F E is a topological injection. This is motivated by the problem of lifting Q-valued functions with certain given properties to E-valued functions with the same or slightly weaker properties, which may also be considered as the investigation of parameter dependences of solutions of linear (differential) equations. Applications to partial differential equations and to Fredholm functions are given.  相似文献

The paper is a study of the limiting behaviour of the [n t]-th iterates of the well-known Post-Widder operatorsL n, x used in the real inversion of the Laplace transform. It is shown that the limiting operators constitute a semigroup T t;t0 of class (C 0) on a family C ,; , >0 of Banach spaces. We consider finite-dimensional homogeneous stochastic semigroups X s t , 0 s t < assuming values in the space of real square matrices. For stochastic semigroups assuming values in the class of upper triangular matrices we compute the index of exponential growth , where · is the operator norm of a matrix. If -1(u)log(u+1) C2-1(u) for sufficiently large uthen we have S*(f) L CfL for all f L ([-, ])where S*(f) is the majorant function of partial sums of trigonometric Fourier series and fL is the Orlicz norm of f. The following generalized Nikodym theorem is established: the family {} is uniformly bounded on if and only if it is bounded on every sequence of pairwise disjoint sets of which the union is a part of some set in . We give a general criterion for the intrinsic ultracontractivity of Dirichlet Laplacians – D on domainsD ofR d d 3, based on the Lieb's formula. It applies to various classes of domains (e.g. John, Hölder andL p-averaging domains) and gives new conditions for intrinsic ultracontractivity in terms of the Minkowski dimension of the boundary D. Summary A characterization of compact sets in Lp (0, T; B) is given, where 1P and B is a Banach space. For the existence of solutions in nonlinear boundary value problems by the compactness method, the point is to obtain compactness in a space Lp (0,T; B) from estimates with values in some spaces X, Y or B where XBY with compact imbedding XB. Using the present characterization for this kind of situations, sufficient conditions for compactness are given with optimal parameters. As an example, it is proved that if {fn} is bounded in Lq(0,T; B) and in L loc 1 (0, T; X) and if {fn/t} is bounded in L loc 1 (0, T; Y) then {fn} is relatively compact in Lp(0,T; B), p相似文献

Using a capacity approach, we prove in this article that it is always possible to define a realization of the Laplacian on L 2() with generalized Robin boundary conditions where is an arbitrary open subset of R n and is a Borel measure on the boundary of . This operator generates a sub-Markovian C 0-semigroup on L 2(). If d=d where is a strictly positive bounded Borel measurable function defined on the boundary and the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on , we show that the semigroup generated by the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions has always Gaussian estimates with modified exponents. We also obtain that the spectrum of the Laplacian with Robin boundary conditions in L p () is independent of p[1,). Our approach constitutes an alternative way to Daners who considers the (n–1)-dimensional Hausdorff measure on the boundary. In particular, it allows us to construct a conterexample disproving Daners' closability conjecture.  相似文献

It is shown that some standard results concerning the p-adic L- functions, Lp(), ofQ(p-divisibilities of 1/2Lp(, s), and congruences for 1/2Lp(, t)–1/2Lp(, s), s, tp) are direct consequences of a general structural theorem, based only on the functional properties of the p-adic pseudo-measures and distributions attached to these Lp-functions (essentially the eulerian ones). The method suggests that all such divisibilities and congruences are obtained systematically by this way, and are the best possible (in a standard point of view).
