Groups with π-Minimal and π-Layer Minimal Conditions. II

For an arbitrary set π of prime numbers we study the properties and structure of groups satisfying the π-minimal and π-layer minimal conditions. In particular, we describe the structure of the almost RN-groups (and thereby that of the locally solvable groups) with these conditions. Under the assumption 2∈π, we describe the structure of locally graded groups (and thereby that of locally finite groups) with these conditions.

<Emphasis Type="Italic">τ</Emphasis>-primitive subgroups of finite groups

We study the influence of τ-primitive subgroups on the structure of finite groups. As applications, we give the structure of the finite groups whose every subgroup is an intersection of subgroups of prime power index and the structure of finite groups whose every subnormal subgroup is an intersection of subnormal subgroups of prime power index.     

The structure of two-parabolic space: parabolic dust and iteration

A non-elementary Möbius group generated by two-parabolics is determined up to conjugation by one complex parameter and the parameter space, the parameter space for representations of groups generated by two parabolics into \({PSL(2, \mathbb{C})}\) modulo conjugacy, has been extensively studied. In this paper, we use the results of Gilman and Waterman to obtain an additional structure for the parameter space, which we term the two-parabolic space. This structure allows us to identify groups that contain additional conjugacy classes of primitive parabolics, which we call parabolic dust groups, non-free groups off the real axis, and groups that are both parabolic dust and non-free; some of these contain \({\mathbb{Z} \times \mathbb{Z}}\) subgroups. The structure theorem also attaches additional geometric structure to discrete and non-discrete groups lying in given regions of the parameter space and allows a new explicit geometric construction of some non-classical T-Schottky groups.

主要研究子群置换性质对有限群结构的影响.通过子群的置换性得到一类群,即B 群.B群是全可置换群的扩展,利用全可置换群的p次中心扩张和子群的阶得到B群的一些性质并对B 群的结构进行一些刻画.应用B 群的结构得到有限p （p〉2）群为二元生成的B 群的充要条件.

Homomorphism-homogeneous monounary algebras

In 2006, P. J. Cameron and J. Ne?et?il introduced the following variant of homogeneity: we say that a structure is homomorphism-homogeneous if every homomorphism between finitely generated substructures of the structure extends to an endomorphism of the structure. In several recent papers homomorphism-homogeneous objects in some well-known classes of algebras have been investigated (e.g. lattices and semilattices), while finite homomorphism-homogeneous groups were described in 1979 under the name of finite quasiinjective groups. In this paper we characterize homomorphism-homogenous monounary algebras of arbitrary cardinalities.

In this paper, we discuss the question as to which Lie groups can occur as multiplication groups Mult(L) of connected topological loops L, and we describe the correspondence between the structure of the group Mult(L) and the structure of the loop L.

On automorphisms of groups,rings, and algebras

We consider the structure of groups and algebras that can be represented as automorphisms, respectively derivations, of bilinear maps. Representations of that sort arise when we attempt to describe the automorphisms of groups, rings, and algebras that are nilpotent. We introduce exact sequences that capture structure and prove theorems of Morita and Skolem–Noether type. We apply these results to compute automorphisms of groups and rings.     

Algebraic structures on Grothendieck groups of a tower of algebras

The Grothendieck group of the tower of symmetric group algebras has a self-dual graded Hopf algebra structure. Inspired by this, we introduce by way of axioms, a general notion of a tower of algebras and study two Grothendieck groups on this tower linked by a natural paring. Using representation theory, we show that our axioms give a structure of graded Hopf algebras on each Grothendieck groups and these structures are dual to each other. We give some examples to indicate why these axioms are necessary. We also give auxiliary results that are helpful to verify the axioms. We conclude with some remarks on generalized towers of algebras leading to a structure of generalized bialgebras (in the sense of Loday) on their Grothendieck groups.

On A-Critical nilpotent groups

It is useful to consider a critical structure of a class of groups. For example, the results on minimal non-nilpotent group, and on minimal non-p-nilpotent group, have been widely used in group theory. In this paper, we analyze the critical structure of a class of groups, which admit an operator group.     

The action of nilpotent groups on infinite graphs

First we prove a result about the action of nilpotent groups on the set of ends of locally finite graphs. This theorem has immediate consequences for the structure of graphs which allow a transitive action of those groups. Further we investigate the cycle-structure of automorphisms of a transitive nilpotent group and the existence of abelian groups acting on sets of imprimitivity of graphs whose automorphism groups have transitive nilpotent subgroups.
