TheK-shell fluorescence yield of germanium has been determined asω K=0.570±0.003 by the modified proportional counter technique using a special wall-less proportional counter filled with methane and small admixture of germanium hydride GeH4. The required ratio of the total photoabsorption to the absorption in theK-shell has been obtained from the separate study of the energy dependence of the X-ray absorption in germanium.  相似文献

Thep K ω K value of Sr following88Y decay has been determined to bep K ω K =0.613±0.004 using two independent methods for the measurement of theK x-ray emission rate and a calibrated γ-ray spectrometer for the determination of the disintegration rate. With this result and aK-capture probabilityP K =0.877±0.003 deduced from literature theK-shell fluorescence yield of Sr is ω K =0.699±0.007.  相似文献

TheK-shell internal conversion coefficientα K for the 37.2 keV transition (7/2+→5/2+) occuring in121Sb afterβ ? decay of121 mSn has been redetermined applying theX- toγ-peak method (XPG). Measurements of photon spectra from thin sources have been performed at various source-detector distances with a high resolution, efficiency calibrated Si(Li) detector. Values ofα K have been deduced from the number of emittedKX rays compared to that of the emittedγ rays. TheK-shell fluorescence yield for antimony has been taken from the literature. From in total 14 experimental runs a mean result ofα K =9.52±0.27 has been obtained. The quoted uncertainty comprising statistical and systematic parts is discussed in detail. The present result is compared with the few existing earlier experimental values and with the theoretical value interpolated from the most recent tabulations.  相似文献

The total andK-shell conversion coefficients of the 165 keV transition in the decay of197mHg are determined from intensity balance considerations and a coincidence technique using a Ge(Li)—NaI (Tl) system respectively. The resultant values area T =274.8±19.2 anda K =47±12, whil the corresponding theoretical values are 344 and 77 respectively, indicating anomalous conversion. The gamma ray transition probability however, shows a hindrance of only about 6 and cannot be correlated with the present anomalous conversion data. TheK/L ratio of the 130 keV transition, determined using a summing method with a Ge(Li) detector, yielded 0.090±0.012, while the corresponding theoretical value is 0.048, indicating anomalous conversion. The corresponding gamma transition probability shows a hindrance of about 3000, in correlation with anomalous conversion.  相似文献

TheK-shell particle parameter of the 122 keV transition in152Sm has been investigated using different sources and different experimental arrangements. From our measurements we obtain the mean valueb 2=1.77±0.03. This result deviates from the theoretical value by (6.5±1.5)%. We do not observe hygroscopic effects as reported in Ref.  相似文献

TheK-internal conversion coefficients have been measured by the XPG technique for a number of low energyγ-ray transitions whose energies do not exceed theK-binding energies by more than 4 keV. Using Si(Li) detectors in singles and coincidence arrangements, the following results were obtained: 63.1 keV El in169Tm(αK=1.02±0.15), 72.0 keV E1 in187Re (0.75±0.05), 57.8 keV M1 in162Ho (11.42±0.67), 56.6 keV M1 in164Ho (12.04±0.70), and 67.1 keV M1 in174Lu(10.25±0.58). The experimental results are compared with the theoretical calculations which include transition energies down to 1 keV above threshold.  相似文献

The yield and energy distribution of long-range alpha-particles (lra) emitted from neutron-induced fission of235U have been measured at neutron energies; thermal, 125±12, 155±11, 185±10, 210±9, 240±9, 365±50 and 480±45 keV. The long-range alpha-particles were detected in cellulose nitrate track detector foils. Results showed an increase of about 50% in the yield at neutron energies in the region 150 keV≤E n≤220 keV as compared to that of thermal neutrons. A calculation has been carried out to extract thelra to binary fission ratio forp-wave neutron induced fission.  相似文献

Using scintillation spectrometers and coincidence techniques the decay of Nb94 m has been investigated. TheK-shell conversion coefficient of the 41.5 keV isomeric transition was found to be 570±100 indicating aM 3 transition. The maximum energy of theβ-decay to the 0.87 MeV level of Mo94 is (1.15±0.03) MeV occurring (4·5±0·7)×10?3 per disintegration, anotherβ-decay to the 1.57 MeV level was found to be (4·0±1·3)×10?5. From this the parities and spins of the levels involved in the decay of Nb94 m are determined.  相似文献

In-beam nuclear spectroscopic studies of182Re, following the reaction181Ta(α, 3n)182Re have been made using gamma-ray and internal conversion electron techniques.K-conversion coefficients for several transitions have been measured and the multi-polarities of the various transitions assigned. In particular, the spin and parity of the four-quasi-particle isomeric level at 2256 keV were determined to be 16. Theg-factor of this level has been measured to beg = 0·32 ± 0·05. On the basis of theg-factor and the decay pattern of this level, a configuration {v9/2+ [624↑]v7/2 [514↓]v7/2 [503↑]π9/2 [514↑]} k x = 16 has been assigned to this level. The nature of the retardation of the gamma transitions deexciting this level is discussed. It is argued that the measured retardation factors can be explained if the nucleus has a triaxial shape.  相似文献

The low-lying levels in74As have been studied by means ofγ-ray and internal conversion electron spectroscopy following the74Ge(p,n)74As reaction. New levels at 372.7, 532.8, 632.1, 731.6, 752.7, 758.3, 801.6, 902.9 and 1128.5 keV, not observed in earlier studies, have been established.J π assignments have been made to several low-lying levels. An earlier ambiguity regarding the identification of an isomeric level has been clarified. The half-life of a level at 271.4 keV has been measured to be 1.0±0.1 nsec; in addition, limits on half-lives of levels at 182.7, 277.5 and 425.4 keV have been assigned. The level structure is discussed on the basis of available nuclear models.  相似文献

The positron impact ionization cross section for theK-shell was determined in the case of Ni, Y and Ag at 670 and 490 keV as well as for theL-shell in the case of Yb, Ta, Au and Pb at 490 keV using a beta-ray spectrometer as a source of monoenergetic electrons and anX-e + coincidence arrangement. We have measured theg-factor of the 659 keV, 3/2+, state in117In, using time differential perturbed angular correlation technique. The spin precession of this state was measured in an external field of 20·2 kG. The values of the Larmor precession frequencyω and theg-factor are obtained to be (60·1±0·3)106 rads/sec and 0·625±0·007 respectively.  相似文献

The conversion electron spectrum from the decay of156Tb to156Gd was measured with an iron, double-focusing spectrometer. TheK conversion coefficient of the 1222.4 keV transition was measured relative to theK conversion coefficient of the 661.6 keV transition in137Cs and found to be 0.00174±0.00013. This result was used to normalize electron and gamma-ray data to obtain theK conversion coefficients of 33 transitions in156Gd.
