Nonassociative Tori and Applications to T-Duality   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
In this paper, we initiate the study of C*-algebras endowed with a twisted action of a locally compact abelian Lie group , and we construct a twisted crossed product , which is in general a nonassociative, noncommutative, algebra. The duality properties of this twisted crossed product algebra are studied in detail, and are applied to T-duality in Type II string theory to obtain the T-dual of a general principal torus bundle with general H-flux, which we will argue to be a bundle of noncommutative, nonassociative tori. Nonassociativity is interpreted in the context of monoidal categories of modules. We also show that this construction of the T-dual includes the other special cases already analysed in a series of papers.  相似文献

A construction theorem for Frobenius manifolds with logarithmic poles is established. This is a generalization of a theorem of Hertling and Manin. As an application we prove a partial generalization of the reconstruction theorem of Kontsevich and Manin for projective smooth varieties with convergent Gromov-Witten potential. A second application is a construction of Frobenius manifolds out of a variation of polarized Hodge structures which degenerates along a normal crossing divisor when certain generation conditions are fulfilled.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the asymptotic behaviour of the principal eigenvalue of some linear elliptic equations in the limit of high first-order coefficients. Roughly speaking, one of the main results says that the principal eigenvalue, with Dirichlet boundary conditions, is bounded as the amplitude of the coefficients of the first-order derivatives goes to infinity if and only if the associated dynamical system has a first integral, and the limiting eigenvalue is then determined through the minimization of the Dirichlet functional over all first integrals. A parabolic version of these results, as well as other results for more general equations, are given. Some of the main consequences concern the influence of high advection or drift on the speed of propagation of pulsating travelling fronts.The third author was partially supported by a NSF grant.  相似文献

The Jacobi elliptic function expansion method is extended to derive the explicit periodic wave solutions for nonlinear differential-difference equations. Three well-known examples are chosen to illustrate the application of the Jacobi elliptic function expansion method. As a result, three types of periodic wave solutions including Jacobi elliptic sine function, Jacobi elliptic cosine function and the third elliptic function solutions are obtained. It is shown that the shock wave solutions and solitary wave solutions can be obtained at their limit condition.  相似文献

We analyze in detail projective modules over two-dimensional noncommutative tori and complex structures on these modules. We concentrate our attention on properties of holomorphic vectors in these modules; the theory of these vectors generalizes the theory of theta-functions. The paper is self-contained; it can be used also as an introduction to the theory of noncommutative spaces with simplest space of this kind thoroughly analyzed as a basic example.  相似文献

To illustrate the effectiveness of the method, the nonlinear time fractional biological population model and (4+1)-dimensional space-time fractional Fokas equation are considered. The Weil‘s integrality condition of prequantization is generalized to two-dimensional phase space with boundaries.It is shown that in the prequantization condition a term related to the symplectic potential on the boundary appears.The necessity of the generalized condition is proved by analyzing the isolated singularities of the Hermitian bundle while the sufficiency of the condition is proved via geometric construction on the space of equivalence class.  相似文献

We consider a class of a priori stable quasi-integrable analytic Hamiltonian systems and study the regularity of low-dimensional hyperbolic invariant tori as functions of the perturbation parameter. We show that, under natural nonresonance conditions, such tori exist and can be identified through the maxima or minima of a suitable potential. They are analytic inside a disc centered at the origin and deprived of a region around the positive or negative real axis with a quadratic cusp at the origin. The invariant tori admit an asymptotic series at the origin with Taylor coefficients that grow at most as a power of a factorial and a remainder that to any order N is bounded by the (N+1)-st power of the argument times a power of N!. We show the existence of a summation criterion of the (generically divergent) series, in powers of the perturbation size, that represent the parametric equations of the tori by following the renormalization group methods for the resummations of perturbative series in quantum field theory. From electron-positron collision data collected with the CLEO detector operating at Cornell Electron Storage Ring near sqrt[s]=10.6 GeV, improved measurements of the branching fractions for tau decays into three explicitly identified hadrons and a neutrino are presented as B(tau(-)-->pi(-)pi(+)pi(-)nu(tau))=(9.13+/-0.05+/-0.46)%, B(tau(-)-->K-pi(+)pi(-)nu(tau))=(3.84+/-0.14+/-0.38) x 10(-3), B(tau(-)-->K-K+pi(-)nu(tau))=(1.55+/-0.06+/-0.09) x 10(-3), and B(tau(-)-->K-K+K-nu(tau))<3.7 x 10(-5) at 90% C.L., where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.  相似文献
