On One Class of Operators Associated with Differential Equations of Fractional Order

We carry out spectral analysis of one class of integral operators associated with fractional order differential equations applicable in mechanics. We establish connection between the eigenvalues of these operators and the zeros of Mittag-Leffler type functions. We give sufficient conditions for complete nonselfadjointness.     

On Initial-boundary-value Problems for a Class of Systems of Quasi-linear Evolution Equations

In this paper the initial-boundary-value problems for pseudo-hyperbolic system of quasi-linear equations: {(-1)^Mu_{tt} + A(x, t, U, V)u_x^{2M}_{tt} = B(x, t, U, V)u_x^{2M}_{t} + C(x, t, U, V)u_x^{2M} + f(x, t, U, V) u_x^k(0,t) = ψ_{0k}(t), \quad u_x^k(l,t) = ψ_{lk}(t), \quad k = 0,1,…,M - 1 -u(x,0) = φ_0(x), \quad u_t(x,0) = φ_1(x) is studied, where U = (u_1, u_x,…,u_x^{2M - 1}) V = (u_t, u_{xt},…,u_x^{2M - 1_t}), A, B, C are m × m matrices, u, f, ψ_{0k}, ψ_{1k}, ψ_0, ψ_1 are m-dimensional vector functions. The existence and uniqueness of the generalized solution (in H² (0, T; H^{2M} (0, 1))) of the problems are proved.

On One Class of Matrix Differential Operators

We consider one class of matrix differential operators in the whole space. For this class of operators we establish the isomorphic properties in some special scales of weighted Sobolev spaces and study the regularity properties for solutions to the system of differential equations defined by these operators. The class of operators under consideration contains the stationary Navier–Stokes operator.

Structural Analysis of One Class of Dynamical Systems

We develop the method of structural transformations of dynamical systems (proposed earlier by Koshlyakov) for systems containing nonconservative positional structures. The method under consideration is based on structural transformations that enable one to eliminate nonconservative positional terms from the original system without changing its stability properties.     

On Stability of Solutions to One Class of Nonlinear Difference Systems

We consider some class of systems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. We adjust the difference schemes corresponding to the equations under study in order to guarantee agreement between differential and difference systems in the sense of stability of the zero solution. We obtain conditions under which perturbations do not violate the asymptotic stability of solutions to difference systems.

Critical higher order Sturm–Liouville difference operators

We investigate the so-called critical 2nth-order Sturm–Liouville difference operators and associated symmetric banded matrices. We show that arbitrarily small (in a certain sense) negative perturbation of a non-negative critical operator leads to an operator which is no longer non-negative.     

Boundary‐value problems for the third‐order loaded equation with noncharacteristic type‐change boundaries

The purpose of this paper is to establish unique solvability for a certain generalized boundary‐value problem for a loaded third‐order integro‐differential equation with variable coefficients. Moreover, the method of integral equations is applied to obtain an equation related to the Riemann‐Liouville operators.

We consider the problem of finding necessary and sufficient conditions for validity of an estimate for a function by some differential operation containing a weight function rather than the ordinary derivative. This operation is referred to as the -weighted derivative.     

Weak Convergence of Solutions of the Liouville Equation for Nonlinear Hamiltonian Systems

We suggest sufficient conditions for the existence of weak limits of solutions of the Liouville equation as time increases indefinitely. The presence of the weak limit of the probability distribution density leads to a new interpretation of the second law of thermodynamics for entropy increase.
