The novel intramolecularly NH...O hydrogen-bonded Ca(II)-aryl sulfonate complex, [Ca2(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4)2(H2O)4]n(2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3)2n (1), sulfonate anion, (HNEt3)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2a), (PPh4)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2b), (n-Bu4N)(SO3-2-t-BuCONHC6H4) (2c), and sulfonic acid, 2-t-BuCONHC6H4SO3H (3), were synthesized. The structures of 1, 2a, and 2b depict the presence of the formation of NH...O hydrogen bonds between the amide NH and S-O oxygen for a series of compounds as determined by IR and 1H NMR analyses both in the solid state and in the solution state. Thus, the NH...O hydrogen bonds with neutral amide groups are available for investigation of the electronic state of the O- anion. The combined data from the IR and 1H NMR spectra indicate that the sulfonic acid, sulfonate anion, and Ca(II) complex have a substantially weak intramolecular NH...O hydrogen bond between the SO3 oxygen and amide NH. In the detailed comparison with the intense NH...O hydrogen bonds for the carboxylate, weak NH...O hydrogen bonds for sulfonate is due to the strong conjugation of the SO3- group with the lower nucleophilicity.  相似文献

The Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anion, which consists of a tetrahedrally coordinated Cu(I) centre coordinated to four sulfur atoms, is able to act as a multidentate ligand in discrete and infinite supramolecular species. The slow oxidation of an aqueous solution of Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) yields a mixed oxidation state, 2D network of composition Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O. The addition of Cu(II) and 2,2'-bipyridine to an aqueous Na(7)Cu(SO(3))(4) solution leads to the formation of a pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(+); a combination of hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking interactions leads to the generation of infinite parallel channels that are occupied by disordered nitrate anions and water molecules. A pair of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-) anions each act as a tridentate ligand towards a single Mn(II) centre when Mn(II) ions are combined with an excess of Cu(SO(3))(4)(7-). An anionic pentanuclear complex of composition {[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)} is formed when Fe(II) is added to a Cu(+)/SO(3)(2-) solution. Hydrated ferrous [Fe(H(2)O)(6)(2+)] and sodium ions act as counterions for the complexes and are responsible for the formation of an extensive hydrogen bond network within the crystal. Magnetic susceptibility studies over the temperature range 2-300 K show that weak ferromagnetic coupling occurs within the Cu(II) containing chains of Na(5){[Cu(II)(H(2)O)][Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}·6H(2)O, while zero coupling exists in the pentanuclear cluster {[Cu(II)(H(2)O)(bipy)](4)[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)]}(NO(3))·H(2)O. Weak Mn(II)-O-S-O-Mn(II) antiferromagnetic coupling occurs in Na(H(2)O)(6){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)][Mn(II)(H(2)O)(2)](3)}, the latter formed when Mn was in excess during synthesis. The compound, Na(3)(H(2)O)(6)[Fe(II)(H(2)O)(6)](2){[Cu(I)(SO(3))(4)](2)[Fe(III)(H(2)O)](3)(O)}·H(2)O, contained trace magnetic impurities that affected the expected magnetic behaviour.  相似文献

In this paper, ten new silver compounds, namely [Ag(bipy)](L1).H2O (1), [Ag(bipy)](L2).2H2O (2), [Ag2(bipy)2(H2O)2](L3).H2O (3), [Ag(L4)(bipy)].H2O (4), [Ag(L5)(bipy)] (5), [Ag(L6)(bipy)].0.5CH3CN (6), [Ag3(L7)2(bipy)2].2(H2O) (7), [Ag2(L8)(bipy)1.5(H2O)].H2O (8), [Ag2(L9)(bipy)2(H2O)2] (9) and [Ag3(L10)(bipy)2][(bipy)(H2O)2].(H2O)3.5 (10) (where bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine, L1 = 6-amino-1-naphthalenesulfonate anion, L2 = 2-naphthalenesulfonate anion, L3 = sulfosalicylate anion, L4 = p-aminobenzenesulfonate anion, L5 = 4-dimethyaminoazobenzenen-4'-sulfonate anion, L6 = 2,5-dichloro-4-amino-benzenesulfonate anion, L7 = 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonate anion, L8 = 2-nitroso-1-naphthol-4-sulfonate anion, L9 = 2,6-naphthalenedisulfonate anion and L10 = 1,3,5-naphthalenetrisulfonate anion), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. In compounds 1-6, Ag(I) centers are linked by bipy ligands to form 1D Ag-bipy chain structures, in which the sulfonate anions of compounds 1-3 act as counter ions. The sulfonate anions of compounds 4 and 5 connect Ag-bipy chains to form 1D double chain structures, respectively. The sulfonate anions of compound 6 connect Ag-bipy chains to form a 2D layer structure. Unexpectedly, compound 7 shows a hinged chain structure, and these chains interlace with each other through hydrogen bonds and pi-pi interactions to generate a 3D structure with channels along the c axis. Compounds 8 and 9 show 1D ladder-like structures. In compound 10, the Ag-bipy chains are connected by sulfonate anions to generate a 3D poly-threaded network, in which an isolated Ag-bipy chain is inserted. The results indicate that the anionic sulfonate-containing co-ligands play an important role in the final structures of the Ag(I) complexes. Additionally, the luminescent properties of these compounds were also studied.  相似文献

Reaction of Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with (NH(4))(2)SO(3) in the mixed-solvent system H(2)O/CH(3)CN (pH = 5) resulted in the formation of the tetranuclear cluster (NH(4))(4)[Mo(4)(VI)SO(16)] x H(2)O (1), while the same reaction in acidic aqueous solution (pH = 5) yielded (NH(4))(4)[Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)] x 3H(2)O (2). Compound {(H(2)bipy)(2)[Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)] x H(2)O}(x) (3) was obtained from the reaction of aqueous acidic solution of Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with (NH(4))(2)SO(3) (pH = 2.5) and 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy). The mixed metal/sulfite species (NH(4))(7)[Co(III)(Mo(2)(V)O(4))(NH(3))(SO(3))(6)] x 4H(2)O (4) was synthesized by reacting Na(2)Mo(VI)O(4) x 2H(2)O with CoCl(2) x 6H(2)O and (NH(4))(2)SO(3) with precise control of pH (5.3) through a redox reaction. The X-ray crystal structures of compounds 1, 2, and 4 were determined. The structure of compound 1 consists of a ring of four alternately face- and edge-sharing Mo(VI)O(6) octahedra capped by the trigonal pyramidal sulfite anion, while at the base of the Mo(4) ring is an oxo group which is asymmetrically shared by all four molybdenum atoms. Compound 3 is based on the Strandberg-type heteropolyion [Mo(5)(VI)S(2)O(21)](4-), and these coordinatively saturated clusters are joined by diprotonated 4,4'-H(2)bipy(2+) through strong hydrogen bonds. Compound 3 crystallizes in the chiral space group C2. The structure of compound 4 consists of a novel trinuclear [Co(III)Mo(2)(V)SO(3)(2-)] cluster. The chiral compound 3 exhibits nonlinear optical (NLO) and photoluminescence properties. The assignment of the sulfite bands in the IR spectrum of 4 has been carried out by density functional calculations. The cobalt in 4 is a d(6) octahedral low-spin metal atom as it was evidenced by magnetic susceptibility measurements, cw EPR, BVS, and DFT calculations. The IR and solid-state UV-vis spectra as well as the thermogravimetric analyses of compounds 1-4 are also reported.  相似文献

Three novel vanadogermanate cluster anions have been synthesized by hydrothermal reactions. The cluster anions are derived from the (V(18)O(42)) Keggin cluster shell by substitution of V=O(2+) "caps" by Ge(2)O(OH)(2)(4+) species. In Cs(8)[Ge(4)V(16)O(42)(OH)(4)].4.7H(2)O, 1, (monoclinic, space group C2/c (No. 15), Z = 8, a = 44.513(2) A, b = 12.7632(7) A, c = 22.923(1) A, beta = 101.376(1) degrees ) and (pipH(2))(4)(pipH)(4)[Ge(8)V(14)O(50).(H(2)O)] (pip = C(4)N(2)H(10)), 2 (tetragonal, space group P4(2)/nnm (No. 134), Z = 2, a = 14.9950(7) A, c = 18.408(1) A), two and four VO(2+) caps are replaced, respectively, and each cluster anion encapsulates a water molecule. In K(5)H(8)Ge(8)V(12)SO(52).10H(2)O, 3, (tetragonal, space group I4/m (No. 87), Z = 2, a = 15.573(1) A, c = 10.963(1) A), four VO(2+) caps are replaced by Ge(2)O(OH)(2)(4+) species, and an additional two are omitted. The cluster ion in 3 contains a sulfate anion disordered over two positions. The cluster anions are analogous to the vanadoarsenate anions [V(18)(-)(n)()As(2)(n)()O(42)(X)](m)(-) (X = SO(3), SO(4), Cl; n = 3, 4) previously reported.  相似文献

A novel selective fluorescent chemosensor based on an 8-hydroxyquinoline-appended fluorescein derivative (L1) was synthesized and characterized. Once combined with Cu(2+), it displayed high specificity for sulfide anion. Among the various anions, only sulfide anion induced the revival of fluoresecence of L1, which was quenched by Cu(2+), resulting in "off-on"-type sensing of sulfide anion. What's more, the sensor was retrievable to indicate sulfide anions with Cu(2+), and S(2-), in turn, increased. With the addition of Cu(2+), compound L1 could give rise to a visible pink-to-yellow color change and green fluorescence quenching. The resulting yellow solution could change to pink and regenerate to green fluorescence immediately upon the addition of sulfide anion; however, no changes were observed in the presence of other anions, including CN(-), P(2)O(7)(4-), and other forms of sulfate, making compound L1 an extremely selective and efficient sulfide chemosensor. The signal transduction occurs via reversible formation-separation of complex L1Cu and CuS. What's more, the biological imaging study has demonstrated that the chemosensor can detect sulfur anions in biological systems at a relatively low concentration.  相似文献

Seven diiron(II) complexes, [Fe(II)(2)(PMAT)(2)](X)(4), varying only in the anion X, have been prepared, where PMAT is 4-amino-3,5-bis{[(2-pyridylmethyl)-amino]methyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazole and X = BF(4)(-) (1), Cl(-) (2), PF(6)(-) (3), SbF(6)(-) (4), CF(3)SO(3)(-) (5), B(PhF)(4)(-) (6), and C(16)H(33)SO(3)(-) (7). Most were isolated as solvates, and the microcrystalline ([3], [4]·2H(2)O, [5]·H(2)O, and [6]·?MeCN) or powder ([2]·4H(2)O, and [7]·2H(2)O) samples obtained were studied by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility and Mo?ssbauer methods. A structure determination on a crystal of [2]·2MeOH·H(2)O, revealed it to be a [LS-HS] mixed low spin (LS)-high spin (HS) state dinuclear complex at 90 K, but fully high spin, [HS-HS], at 293 K. In contrast, structures of both [5]·?IPA·H(2)O and [7]·1.6MeOH·0.4H(2)O showed them to be [HS-HS] at 90 K, whereas magnetic and M?ssbauer studies on [5]·H(2)O and [7]·2H(2)O revealed a different spin state, [LS-HS], at 90 K, presumably because of the difference in solvation. None of these complexes undergo thermal spin crossover (SCO) to the fully LS form, [LS-LS]. The PF(6)(-) and SbF(6)(-) complexes, 3 and [4]·2H(2)O, appear to be a mixture of [HS-LS] and [HS-HS] at low temperature, and undergo gradual SCO to [HS-HS] on warming. The CF(3)SO(3)(-) complex [5]·H(2)O undergoes gradual, partial SCO from [HS-LS] to a mixture of [HS-LS] and [HS-HS] at T(1/2) ≈ 180 K. The B(PhF)(4)(-) and C(16)H(33)SO(3)(-) complexes, [6]·(1)/(2)MeCN and [7]·2H(2)O, are approximately [LS-HS] at all temperatures, with an onset of gradual SCO with T(1/2) > 300 K.  相似文献

A series of novel two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) praseodymium coordination polymers, namely, {[Pr3(PDA)4(HPDA)(H2O)8] x 8H2O}n (2), {[Pr2(PDA)3(H2O)3] x H2O}n (3), {[Pr(PDA)(H2O)4] x ClO4}n (4), and { [Pr2(PDA)2(H2O)5SO4] x 2H2O}n (5) (PDA = pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic anion), was designed and synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Complexes 1-3 (chainlike polymer, {[Pr(PDA)(HPDA)(H2O)2] x 4H2O}n (1) was also obtained independently by us, although it has been reported recently by Ghosh et al.) were fabricated successfully by simply tuning the Pr/PDA ratio and exhibited various and intriguing topological structures from a 1D chain to a 3D network. While the synthetic strategy of 5 was triggered and further performed only after 1 was structurally characterized. The complexes were characterized by X-ray single-crystal determination, spectroscopic, and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility analyses. In complex 2 an unusual nanosized square motif as a building block constructed by eight Pr ions was further assembled into a highly ordered 2D grid compound. In complex 3 the decanuclear Pr metal-based structure as a repeat unit interpenetrated to form a novel 3D polymer. Complex 4 was a 3D network polymer fabricated through a hexanuclear Pr ring as a building block, and ClO4- anions as guests were trapped in the cavity. In complex 5 six Pr atoms, two SO4(2-) anions, and carboxylic oxygen bridges constructed an intriguing rectangle structure as a repeat unit in the grid to form a 2D coordination polymer in which the unique bi-bidentate coordination mode of SO4(2-) anion was observed.  相似文献

Utilizing 3,5-bis(x-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (x-Hpytz, x = 3; x = 4) as multidentate ligands, six novel coordination polymers with Zn(II) or Cd(II) metal ions were prepared: [Zn(3-pytz)(0.5)(OH)(0.5)Cl](n) (1, 1D ladder), {[Zn(3-Hpytz)(H(2)O)(4)] [Zn(3-Hpytz)(H(2)O)(3)·SO(4)]SO(4)·5H(2)O}(n) (2·5H(2)O, 1D chain), [Cd(3-Hpytz)(SO(4))](n) (3, 3D framework), {[Cd(3-Hyptz)SO(4)·3H(2)O]·2H(2)O}(n) (4·2H(2)O, 1D chain), [Zn(4-pytz)Cl](n) (5, 3D framework) and [Zn(2)(4-pytz)(SO(4))(OH)](n) (6, 3D framework). All compounds were obtained from hydrothermal reactions, with the exception of compound 4 which was obtained by solvent diffusion at room temperature. All compounds were characterized by FTIR, elemental analysis and TGA analysis and their structures were determined by X-ray diffraction. All compounds exhibited substantial thermal stability and showed photofluorescent properties that resulted from ligand π-π* transition.  相似文献

Seven cadmium(II) arenedisulfonate compounds, namely [Cd(2,2'-bpy)(2)(H(2)O)(peds)].4H(2)O (1), [Cd(2)(2,2'-bpy)(4)(H(2)O)(2)(1,5nds)](1,5nds).4H(2)O (2), [Cd(cyclam)(1,5nds)](2) (3), ([Cd(inia)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(2,6nds)].4H(2)O)(n)(4), ([Cd(inia)(2)(H(2)O)(2)(bpds)].4H(2)O)(n)(5), ([Cd(2)(inia)(4)(H(2)O)(3)(peds)(2)].2H(2)O)(n)(6), and [Cd(1,5nds)(H(2)O)(2)](n) (7), where 2,2'-bpy = 2,2'-bipyridyl, cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, inia = isonicotinamide, nds = naphthalenedisulfonate, bpds = 4,4'-biphenyldisulfonate, and peds = 4,4'-phenyletherdisulfonate, have been obtained from aqueous solution by using similar procedures and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis. In 1, the peds anion coordinates as a monodentate ligand, leading to a mononuclear unit. In 2 and 3, the 1,5nds anions coordinate as mu(2)-bridging ligands in different modes, producing charged or neutral dinuclear clusters. In 4 and 5, 2,6nds and bpds behave as mu(2)-spacers, resulting in 1-dimensional polymers. While in 6, the peds acts both as terminal and bridging ligands with the SO(3)(-) groups being either monodentate or mu(2)-bridging, creating a knotted 1-dimensional polymer with dinuclear clusters as the repeating units. In 7, 1,5nds acts as a bridging ligand with each SO(3)(-) coordinated as a mu(2)-bridging group to adjacent Cd(II) centers, leading to a 2-dimensional polymer. Together with the reported ([Cu(en)(2)(1,5nds)].2H(2)O)(n) (8), all of the six possible coordination modes adopted by organodisulfonate anions, on the assumption that each SO(3)(-) group could be monodentate or mu(2)-bridging, are realized by introducing nitrogen-containing organic ligands as auxiliaries.  相似文献

The new ligand 2-pyridinyl-3-pyridinylmethanone (L) proves to be an excellent building block for the construction of single-strand helical architectures. A series of helical complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of L with various metal salts, in which L exhibits three kinds of coordination modes involving two kinds of bridging conformations, resulting in four types of single-strand helical chains. The counter anions in the series of 2(1) helical silver(I) complexes {[Ag(L)]X}(infinity)(X = NO(3), 1; PF(6), 2; BF(4), 3; ClO(4), 4; CF(3)CO(2), 5; CF(3)SO(3), 6) are fully or partially embedded inside the cylindrical helix, and the pitch length corresponds not only to the size of the anion but also to its manner of docking into the groove of the helix. Formation of the helical structure in {[Cu(L)(CH(3)CN)(H(2)O)(ClO(4))]ClO(4)}(infinity)(7) is driven by Ow-H...O (perchlorate) hydrogen bonding that leads to a stable triangular motif which rigidly fixes the configuration of the helix. In {[Co(L)(H(2)O)(3)](ClO(4))(2).2H(2)O}(infinity)(8) and {[Zn(L)(H(2)O)(3)](CF(3)SO(3))(2).H(2)O}(infinity)(9), similar helical chains without anion embedment suggest that the pitch length can be tuned by the size of metal cations. Notably, complex {[Ag(L)]CF(3)SO(3)}(infinity)(10), a conformational polymorph of , has a 4(1) helix induced by argentophilic interaction.  相似文献

Compounds 5-7 are prepared by treatment of Fe(O(2)CMe)(2) with Me-saoH(2) (5), Et-saoH(2) (6), Ph-saoH(2) (7) in the presence of H(3)tea (triethanolamine) in MeOH, and represent the largest nuclearity Fe(III) clusters containing salicyladoxime-based ligands, joining a surprisingly small family of characterised octanuclear Fe complexes. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibilty measurements of 1, 3 and 5-7 reveal all five complexes possess S = 0 spin ground states; 2 possesses an S = 1/2 spin ground state, while 4 has an S = 4 +/- 1 spin ground state.  相似文献

Complex [Ag(tpba)N(3)] (1) was obtained by reaction of novel tripodal ligand N,N',N"-tris(pyrid-3-ylmethyl)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide (TPBA) with [Ag(NH(3))(2)]N(3). While the reactions between 1,3,5-tris(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)-2,4,6-trimethylbenzene (TITMB) and silver(I) salts with different anions and solvent systems give six complexes: [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)](N(3))(3).CH(3)OH.4 H(2)O (2), [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2)(OH).5 H(2)O (3), [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)][Ag(NO(3))(3)]NO(3).H(2)O (4), [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)(py)](NO(3))(3).H(2)O (py=pyridine) (5), [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)(py)](ClO(4))(3) (6), and [Ag(3)(titmb)(2)](ClO(4))(3).CHCl(3) (7). The structures of these complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. The results of structural analysis of complexes 1 and 2, with the same azide anion but different ligands, revealed that 1 is a twofold interpenetrated 3D framework with interlocked cage-like moieties, while 2 is a M(3)L(2) type cage-like complex with a methanol molecule inside the cage. Entirely different structure and topology between 1 and 2 indicates that the nature of organic ligands affected the structures of assemblies greatly. While in the cases of complexes 2-7 with flexible tripodal ligand TITMB, they are all discrete M(3)L(2) type cages. The results indicate that the framework of these complexes is predominated by the nature of the organic ligand and geometric need of the metal ions, but not influenced greatly by the anions and solvents. It is interesting that there is a divalent anion [Ag(NO(3))(3)](2-) inside the cage 4 and an anion of ClO(4)(-) or NO(3)(-) spontaneously encapsulated within the cage of complexes 5, 6 and 7.  相似文献

Six noninterpenetrating organic-inorganic hybridized coordination complexes, [Mn(3)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2).2 H(2)O (5), [Mn(3)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2) (6), [Mn(3)(2)(N(3))(2)].2 H(2)O (7), [Cu(3)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (8), [Mn(4)(2)(H(2)O)(SO(4))].CH(3)OH.5 H(2)O (9) and [Mn(4)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (10) were obtained through self-assembly of novel tripodal ligands, 1,3,5-tris(1-imidazolyl)benzene (3) and 1,3-bis(1-imidazolyl)-5-(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene (4) with the corresponding metal salts, respectively. Their structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. The results of structural analysis of complexes 5, 6, 7, and 8 with rigid ligand 3 indicate that their structures are mainly dependant on the nature of the organic ligand and geometric need of the metal ions, but not influenced greatly by the anions and metal ions. While in complexes 9 and 10, which contain the flexible ligand 4, the counteranion plays an important role in the formation of the frameworks. Entirely different structures of complexes 5 and 10 indicate that the organic ligands greatly affect the structures of assemblies. Furthermore, in complexes 5 and 6, the counteranions located between the cationic layers can be exchanged by other anions. Reversible anion exchanges between complexes 5 and 6 without destruction of the frameworks demonstrate that 5 and 6 can act as cationic layered materials for anion exchange, as determined by IR spectroscopy, elemental analyses, and X-ray powder diffraction.  相似文献

A series of experiments in the UO(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(2).2H(2)O/H(2)SO(4)/1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine/H(2)O system were conducted to determine the effects of variation in initial reactant concentrations on the reaction products. Several reaction gels were produced, in which the composition varied from 16:80:4:500 UO(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(2).2H(2)O/H(2)SO(4)/1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine/H(2)O to 4:92:4:500 UO(2)(CH(3)CO(2))(2).2H(2)O/H(2)SO(4)/1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine/H(2)O. Single crystals of two new organically templated uranium sulfates, [N(3)C(6)H(18)](2)[(UO(2))(5)(H(2)O)(SO(4))(8)].5H(2)O and [N(3)C(6)H(18)][(UO(2))(2)(H(2)O)(SO(4))(3)(HSO(4))].4.5H(2)O, were isolated. Both compounds exhibit structures in which the inorganic frameworks are two-dimensional and the protonated amines reside between layers, participating in extensive hydrogen bonding. The composition and structure of each compound is dependent on the nature of the starting concentrations. An oxidation of cluster anion [Re(12)CS(17)(CN)(6)](6-) by H(2)O(2) in water has been investigated. It was shown that selective two-step oxidation of bridging μ(2)-S-ligands in trigonal prismatic unit {Re(3)(μ(6)-C)(μ(2)-S)(3)Re(3)} takes place. The first stage runs rapidly, whereas the speed of the second stage depends on intensity of ultraviolet irradiation of the reaction mixture. Each stage of the reaction is accompanied by a change in the solution's color. In the first stage of the oxidation, the cluster anion [Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(3)(CN)(6)](6-) is produced, in which all bridging S-ligands are turned into bridging SO(2)-ligands. The second stage of the oxidation leads to formation of the anion [Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(2)(SO(3))(CN)(6)](6-), in which one of the SO(2)-ligands underwent further oxidation forming the bridging SO(3)-ligand. Seven compounds containing these anions were synthesized and characterized by a set of different methods, elemental analyses, IR and UV/vis spectroscopy, and quantum-chemical calculations. Structures of some compounds based on similar cluster anions, [Cu(NH(3))(5)](3)[Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(3)(CN)(6)]·9.5H(2)O, [Ni(NH(3))(6)](3)[Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(3)(CN)(6)]·4H(2)O, and [Cu(NH(3))(5)](2.6)[Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(3)(CN)(6)](0.6)[{Re(12)CS(14)(SO(2))(2)(SO(3))(CN)(5)(μ-CN)}{Cu(NH(3))(4)}](0.4)·5H(2)O, were investigated by X-ray analysis of single crystals.  相似文献

Sulfates united: the unique tetrasulfate S(4)O(13)(2-) anion was observed in the structure of (NO(2))(2)[S(4)O(13)] that forms in the reaction of N(2)O(5) with SO(3). Theoretical investigations show that the anion is a stable member of the polysulfate series [S(n)O(3n+1)](2-), which was investigated up to n=11.  相似文献

The electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of niobium(V) and the Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(5-) cluster in sulfuric acid and methanesulfonic acid were investigated using cyclic voltammetry, constant potential electrolysis, and spectroelectrochemistry. These chemical systems were suitable to probe the formation of "Nb(3)O(2)" core trinuclear clusters. In 9 M H(2)SO(4) the cluster Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(5-) exhibited a reversible 1-electron reduction peak at E(pc) = -1.30 V vs Hg/Hg(2)SO(4) electrode, as well as a 4-electron irreversible oxidation peak at E(pa) = -0.45 V. Controlled potential reduction at E = -1.40 V produced the green Nb(3.33+) cluster anion Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(6-). In 12 M H(2)SO(4) Nb(V) displayed two reduction peaks at E(pc) = -1.15 V and E(pc) = -1.30 V. It was determined that the first process involves a quasi-reversible 2-electron reduction. After reduction of Nb(V) to Nb(III) the following chemical step involves formation of [Nb(III)](2) dimer, which further reacts with Nb(V) to produce the Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6(H(2)O)(3)(5-) cluster (ECC process). The second reduction peak at E(pc) = -1.30 V corresponds to further 2-electron reduction of Nb(III) to Nb(I). The electrogenerated Nb(I) species also chemically reacts with starting material Nb(V) to produce additional [Nb(III)](2). In 5 M H(2)SO(4), the rate of the second chemical step in the ECC process is relatively slower and reduction of Nb(V) at E = -1.45 V/-1.2 V produces a mixture of Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(5-) and [Nb(III)](2) dimer. [Nb(III)](2) can be selectively oxidized by two 2-electron steps at E = -0.65 V to Nb(V). However, if the oxidation is performed at E = -0.86 V, the product is Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(5-). A double potential pulse electrolysis waveform was developed to direct the reduction of Nb(V) toward selective formation of the Nb(3)O(2)(SO(4))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(5-) cluster. Proper application of dc-voltage pulses alternating between E(1) = -1.45 V and E(2) = -0.86 V yields only the target trinuclear cluster. Analogous double potential pulse electrolysis of Nb(V) in methanesulfonic acid generates the "Nb(3)O(2)" core cluster Nb(3)O(2)(CH(3)SO(3))(6)(H(2)O)(3)(+).  相似文献

An uncommon butterfly-like tetranuclear copper(ii) cluster with the formula {[Cu(4)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(μ(4)-Cl)(H(2)O)(2)(L)(2)]·Cl(H(2)O)(7)}(n) (1) (H(2)L = 1,2-bis[3-(1,2,4-triazolyl)-4-amino-5-carboxylmethylthio]ethane) has been synthesized. Compound 1 exhibits interesting anion exchange characteristics, in which both guest and coordinated Cl(-) can be replaced by I(-) or NO(3)(-) in water. Furthermore, a high catalytic selectivity to produce poly(phenylene ether) by the oxidative coupling of 2,6-dimethylphenol in water is found to be 74% for 1 and 87% for the anion-exchanged product 1-MI(x), respectively. Additionally, the antiferromagnetic interaction among Cu ions for compound 1 is also found.  相似文献

Pleochroistic crystals (dark green to colorless) of a mixed-valence V(IV)-V(V) compound, K(6)(VO)(4)(SO(4))(8), suitable for X-ray determination have been obtained from the catalytically important K(2)S(2)O(7)-V(2)O(5)/SO(2)-O(2)-SO(3)-N(2) molten salt-gas system, at approximately 400 degrees C. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1) (No. 4) with a = 8.931(2) ?, b = 18.303 (3) ?, c = 9.971(2) ?, beta = 90.11(2) degrees, and Z = 2. It contains two rather similar V(IV)-V(V) pairs of VO(6) octahedra distorted as usual having a short V-O bond of around 1.57 ?, a long bond of around 2.40 ? trans to this, and four equatorial bonds around 2.00 ?. The bond lengths of the V(V)O(6) octahedra are significantly shorter than those found for the V(IV)O(6) octahedra. The eight different SO(4)(2)(-) groups are all bridging bidentate between the V(IV) and V(V) atoms; a third oxygen is coordinated to a vanadium atom of a neighboring chain trans to the short V=O bond, and the fourth oxygen remains uncoordinated. The measured bond distances and angles show a considerable distortion of the SO(4) tetrahedra. This is confirmed by the IR spectra of the compound, where large shift and splitting of the sulfate nu(3) bands up to wave numbers of around 1300 cm(-)(1) is observed. The ESR spectra of the compound exhibit weak anisotropy with g(iso) = 1.972 +/- 0.002 and DeltaB(pp) = 65 +/- 2 G. The compound may cause the deactivation for industrial sulfuric acid catalysts observed around 400 degrees C in highly converted SO(2)-O(2)-N(2) gas mixtures.  相似文献
