碳纳米粒子悬浮液具有良好的光限幅性质,是一种优良的宽波段光限幅材料。通过热传导方程和米氏散射理论建立了微气泡半径与入射光能量、碳纳米粒子悬浮液散射系数和透过率的理论模型。采用Matlab数值模拟了散射系数随微气泡尺寸因子的变化关系,碳纳米粒子悬浮液光限幅性能随入射光能量的变化规律。研究了气泡尺寸因子、入射激光能量以及波长对碳纳米粒子悬浮液光限幅特性的影响。研究发现当激光能量达到一定值时,微气泡的半径保持恒定,不再随入射激光能量的增加而增加。微气泡尺寸的增大对碳纳米粒子悬浮液的透过率有着显著的影响。同时,碳纳米粒子悬浮液对不同入射光波长和光能表现出不同的光限幅性能。研究结果为实验研究提供了理论指导。  相似文献

在激光以不同重复频率入射下,研究了直径分布为10~20 nm的多壁碳纳米管悬浮液对波长为1064 nm激光的光限幅效应,定性分析了不同重复频率激光对多壁碳纳米管悬浮液的光限幅影响。结果表明:碳纳米管悬浮液对波长为532 nm和1064 nm的激光都具有很强的光限幅响应;在多脉冲激光入射时,碳纳米管悬浮液的光限幅效应比单脉冲激光入射时更显著。  相似文献

The optical limiting properties of the mixed liquid of carbon black suspensions (CBS) and green tea solution were studied by using an 8 ns laser pulse at 532\,nm. The optical limiting effects of the CBS and mixed liquid have been compared between 5 and 10\,Hz repetition frequencies with nanosecond laser pulse. The experimental results indicate that the optical limiting threshold of the sample with the incidence laser at 10\,Hz repetition frequency is lower than at 5\,Hz repetition frequency. The possible reasons for the influence of the repetition frequency on the samples are discussed. And by observing the optical radiant distributions when the laser pulse passing through different samples, a possible mechanism for the observed effects is suggested. At the same time, the result shows that the optical limiting of CBS is the dominant factor to optical limiting of the mixed liquid.  相似文献

We investigate pulse duration and wavelength effects on the optical limiting behavior of single-wall carbon nanotubes suspended either in chloroform or in water. The principal optical limiting effect in carbon nanotube suspensions is nonlinear scattering that is due to heat transfer from particles to solvent, leading to solvent-bubble formation and to sublimation of carbon nanotubes. We report on nonlinear transmittance measurements for pulse durations ranging from 3 to 100 ns and for wavelengths from 430 to 1064 nm. The dependence of optical limiting behavior on pulse duration and wavelength is analyzed and discussed in terms of nonlinear mechanisms.  相似文献

Three soluble polystyrene grafted multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) samples are synthesized, and their optical performance and nonlinear scattering properties are investigated by z-scan method using nanosecond pulses of 532 nm from a frequency-doubled Q-switched Nd: YLF laser. Analysis of the experimental results shows that other than nonlinear scattering, nonlinear absorption plays a major role in optical limiting performance of these stable and well-dispersed suspensions. These new synthesized materials which can be better dispersed in common organic solvents than MWNT itself can be considered as potential sources for further optical applications.  相似文献

Nonlinear optical limiting materials have attracted much research interest in recent years. Carbon nanoparticles suspended in liquids show a strong nonlinear optical limiting function. It is important to investigate the nonlinear optical limiting process of carbon nanoparticles for further improving their nonlinear optical limiting performance. In this study, carbon nanoparticles were prepared by laser ablation of a carbon target in tetrahydrofuran (THF). Optical limiting properties of the samples were studied with 532-nm laser light, which is in the most sensitive wavelength band for human eyes. The shape of the laser pulse plays an important role for initializing the nonlinear optical limiting effect. Time-resolved analysis of laser pulses discovered 3 fluence stages of optical limiting. Theoretical simulation indicates that the optical limiting is initialized by a near-field optical enhancement effect.  相似文献

Optical limiting of 532 nm, 15 ns duration laser pulses in suspensions made by diluting black ink in water, ethanol, and isopropanol was studied and the strength of limiting was found to be quite different for the three suspensions. Microscopic investigations showed that the sizes of suspended aggregates were different for different host liquids. The suspension with largest aggregate was found to exhibit strongest optical limiting. Our work thus shows that host liquid influences optical limiting in suspensions not only through its thermodynamic properties but also by determining the particle size which has a strong effect on limiting strength.  相似文献

Microemulsions composed of normal or inverse micellar solutions and aqueous suspensions of pristine (uncoated) or silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticles, mainly γ-Fe2O3, were synthesised and their optical limiting properties investigated. The microemulsions are colorless solutions with high transparency for visible wavelengths while the aqueous suspensions of iron oxide are of pale yellow colour. Optical limiting experiments performed in 2 mm cells using a f/5 optical system with a frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser delivering 5 ns pulses with 10 Hz repetition rate, showed clamping levels of ∼3 μJ for the suspensions of both pristine and silica-coated iron oxide nanoparticles. A strong photoinduced nonlinear light scattering was observed for the water-in-oil microemulsion and the aqueous suspensions of nanoparticles while oil-in-water microemulsions did not show a significant nonlinear effect. Measurements carried out using an integrating sphere further verified that the photoinduced nonlinear light scattering is the dominating nonlinear mechanism while the nonlinear absorption of iron oxide nanoparticles is negligible at 532 nm.  相似文献

利用实验的方法研究了碳纳米管悬浮液对脉宽8 ns,波长532 nm多脉冲激光的光限幅效应.分析了直径分布为10~20 nm的多壁碳纳米管悬浮液对重复频率分别为1 Hz、 3 Hz、 5 Hz、 10 Hz情况下532 nm激光的光限幅效应,分析计算了不同重复频率下碳纳米管悬浮液的限幅阈值,比较了不同焦距的透镜会聚入射光束情况下对碳纳米管悬浮液光限幅效果的影响.实验结果表明:碳纳米管悬浮液对不同重复频率的532 nm 激光都具有较强的光限幅特性;碳纳米管悬浮液对激光在不同重复频率入射情况下的光限幅阈值变化很大,当入射激光的重复频率为5 Hz时,碳纳米管悬浮液的光限幅阈值比单脉冲激光入射时的限幅阈值低了2倍,重复频率为10 Hz时的限幅阈值比单脉冲时的限幅阈值低了近3倍;碳纳米管在紧焦系统中的光限幅效果更好.  相似文献

Nanoparticles of lead sulfide (PbS) have been prepared by a surfactant micelle template-inducing reaction. These nanoparticles were dispersed in ethanol and investigated for their nonlinear optical properties by nanosecond laser pulses. Broadband optical limiting effects have been observed at the wavelengths of 355, 1064, and 430 nm and every 30 nm from 470 to 620 nm. The nonlinear light-scattering process in the suspensions of PbS nanoparticles was characterized at the wavelength of 532 nm. Nonlinear absorption and nonlinear scattering were deduced to be the mechanisms for the broadband optical limiting performance. The origins of the nonlinear scattering were discussed.  相似文献

We investigate the role of carbon nanotubes structure on their optical limiting properties. Samples of different and well-characterized structural features are studied by optical limiting and pump-probe experiments. The influence of the diameter's size on the nano-object is demonstrated. Fullerene C60, C7o, single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes and graphene sheets are doped to nematic liquid crystal (LC) host in the same percentage. Planar samples of these mixtures are prepared and our measurements constitute an optimization basis for possible applications. Fullerene balls are found to be the best compatible material for optical aims and reorientation of LC molecules, while the carbon nanotubes experience some reorientation possibility in LC media and graphene layers are good barriers to preserve reorientation.  相似文献

The opticallimiting behaviors of nano-gold self-assembled multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWNT) were experimentally investigated at 532 and 1064 nm, respectively. The comparison of the limiting performances between carbon nanotube suspension, C60 solution, and carbon black suspension (CBS) was performed.The results show that the optical limiting characteristic of nano-gold self-assembled MWNT is better than those of C60 and CBS. Optical limiting (OL) properties of CdO nanowires in water and ethanol were investigated by using nanosecond laser pulses at 532 nm. Experimental results show that suspension of CdO nanowires in ethanol exhibits better OL property than solution of C60 in toluene and suspension of CdO nanowires in water. The dominant mechanism for the observed enhanced optical limiting in ethanol suspensions of CdO nanowires is due to nonlinear scattering.  相似文献

The possibility of taking into account concentration effects in the determination of optical constants of latex in the visible and near IR regions of the spectrum is demonstrated, and the limits of applicability of the methods proposed for this purpose are determined. The limiting concentration of particles in suspensions for which these effects should be taken into account depend on the particle size. Using latex as an example, ways of increasing the accuracy of reconstruction of optical constants of weakly absorbing particles of micron and submicron size are shown. Similar concentration effects can take place in the study of blood substituents, proteins, and other weakly absorbing particles in weakly absorbing media.  相似文献

The optical limiting performances of single-walled carbon nanotube dispersions in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone were enhanced significantly by blending a range of organic solvents or by increasing the temperature of the dispersions up to 100 °C. While both nanotube bundle size and various solvent parameters have an influence on the optical limiting responses, we verified experimentally that the surface tension of the solvent plays a more important role than the viscosity or boiling point; the appropriate solvent properties contribute to the nonlinear scattering dominated optical limiting phenomenon more than the bundle size.  相似文献
