For a nonsmooth control system, with possibly unbounded sets of velocities and controls, we give a first-order necessary condition for the problem of reaching the boundary of the attainable set. The condition is a relaxed version of the maximum principle. We give an example which demonstrates that, in some cases, the theorem proved in this paper is stronger than all other versions of the maximum principle.  相似文献

Some asymptotic stability criteria are derived for systems of nonlinear functional differential equations with unbounded delays. The criteria are described as matrix equations or matrix inequalities, which are computationally flexible and efficient. The theories are then applied to the stabilization of time-delay systems via standard feedback control (SFC) or time-delayed feedback control (DFC). We study systems of differential equations with perturbations that are unbounded functions of time. We suggest a method for constructing Lyapunov functions to determine conditions under which the perturbations do not affect the asymptotic stability of the solutions. In abstract spaces, we consider certain constrained controllability and approximate controllability properties of a nonlinear system that can be deduced from various controllability properties of its associated linear system. In this paper, we study the global topological linearization of a differential equation with piecewise constant argument of generalized type (DEPCAG) when the nonlinear term is unbounded. Some sufficient conditions are established for the topological conjugacy between a nonlinear system and its linear system. Our work generalizes the main result of Pinto and Robledo in [25].  相似文献

In this paper, the pole assignment problem is considered for a class of distributed parameter systems with unbounded input element and with multiple spectral structure. A formula on the spectrum of the closed loop operator is proved and a formula of pole assignment is obtained. Finally, an example concerning a beam vibration is given. We consider variational problems with control laws given by systems of ordinary differential equations whose vector fields depend linearly on the time derivativeu=(u 1,...,u m ) of the controlu=(u 1,...,u m ). The presence of the derivativeu, which is motivated by recent applications in Lagrangian mechanics, causes an impulsive dynamics: at any jump of the control, one expects a jump of the state.The main assumption of this paper is the commutativity of the vector fields that multiply theu . This hypothesis allows us to associate our impulsive systems and the corresponding adjoint systems to suitable nonimpulsive control systems, to which standard techniques can be applied. In particular, we prove a maximum principle, which extends Pontryagin's maximum principle to impulsive commutative systems.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of μ‐stability of impulsive differential systems with unbounded time‐varying delays and nonlinear perturbations. Some μ‐stability criteria, which depend on the range of distributed delay and the decay rate of discrete delay (not the range), are derived by using Lyapunov–Krasovski functional method. Those criteria are expressed in the form of linear matrix inequalities and they can easily be checked. Two numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results. This paper presents an asymptotic analysis of hierarchical production planning in a manufacturing system with serial machines that are subject to breakdown and repair, and with convex costs. The machines capacities are modeled as Markov chains. Since the number of parts in the internal buffers between any two machines needs to be non-negative, the problem is inherently a state constrained problem. As the rate of change in machines states approaches infinity, the analysis results in a limiting problem in which the stochastic machines capacity is replaced by the equilibrium mean capacity. A method of “lifting” and “modification” is introduced in order to construct near optimal controls for the original problem by using near optimal controls of the limiting problem. The value function of the original problem is shown to converge to the value function of the limiting problem, and the convergence rate is obtained based on some a priori estimates of the asymptotic behavior of the Markov chains. As a result, an error estimate can be obtained on the near optimality of the controls constructed for the original problem.  相似文献

The numerical solution of the heat equation in unbounded domains (for a 1D problem‐semi‐infinite line and for a 2D one semi‐infinite strip) is considered. The artificial boundaries are introduced and the exact artificial boundary conditions are derived. The original problems are transformed into problems on finite domains. The space semi‐discretization by finite element method and the full approximation by the implicit‐explicit Euler's method are presented. The solvability of the full discretization schemes is analyzed. Computational examples demonstrate the accuracy and the efficiency of the algorithms. We give an efficient implementation of the modified minimalpolynomial extrapolation (MMPE) method for solving linear andnonlinear systems. We will show how to choose the auxiliaryvectors in the MMPE method such that the resulting approximationsare always defined. This paper presents reachability results for a linear control system and arbitrary terminal pointsp inR n with controls constrained within a compact setU containing the origin. The well-known results forp=0 are then a special case of our results.Geometric properties of the reachable set are presented and include: general containment properties which describe conditions that guarantee the inclusion of a reachable set in another reachable set; classification of the set of all pointsp that ensure the equivalence of two (different) reachable sets and the properties of this set.The topological properties of the reachable set to a pointp depends on the control setU, the final pointp, and the location of the spectrum of the system in the complex plane. Using Ritz's procedure of representing the control functions of an optimal control problem by a function series with parameters to be optimized, it is shown that, from the well-known gradient procedure for dynamic problems, a simple iteration formula for the optimization of these parameters can be derived. Using an example with a technical background, the effectiveness of the program realization of this approach is demonstrated and is compared with the results of unrestricted dynamic optimization.This work was performed at the Technische Hochschule in Darmstadt, West Germany, with financial support from the DFG (Deutsche Forschungs-Gemeinschaft).  相似文献

Necessary conditions are proved for multi-dimensional control systems, in which the state is a function of several independent variables in a fixed domain, while the controlu is a function of only some of the independent variables (that is,u is a lower-dimensional control). The cost functional can be taken in the usual Lagrange form of a multiple integral or in Mayer form. The state equations are a system of partial differential equations in explicit form with assigned boundary conditions, and constraints may be imposed on the values of the control variables.The author wishes to thank Professor L. We consider a relaxed optimal control problem for systems defined by nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations with distributed control. The problem is completely discretized by using a finite-element approximation scheme with piecewise linear states and piecewise constant controls. Existence of optimal controls and necessary conditions for optimality are derived for both the continuous and the discrete problem. We then prove that accumulation points of sequences of discrete optimal [resp. extremal] controls are optimal [resp. extremal] for the continuous problem.  相似文献
