Photodissociation dynamics of D(2)O in the B?((1)A(1)) state at different photolysis wavelengths have been investigated using the D-atom Rydberg "tagging" time-of-flight (TOF) technique, in combination with a tunable vacuum ultraviolet photolysis light source. TOF spectra of the D-atom product from the D(2)O photodissociation in both parallel and perpendicular polarizations have been measured. Product kinetic energy distributions and angular distributions have been derived from these TOF spectra. From these distributions, internal state distributions of the OD product as well as the OD quantum state specific angular anisotropy parameters have been derived. Two product channels governed by distinct dissociation dynamics have been clearly observed in the B?((1)A(1)) state photodissociation: ground electronic state radical product OD(X (2)Π) + D and excited electronic state OD(A (2)Σ(+)) + D. The OD(A) + D channel proceeds via adiabatic pathway on the B?((1)A(1)) state surface, producing rovibrational excitation in the OD(A) product, while the OD(X) + D channel is generated through nonadiabatic pathway mainly via conical intersections between the B?((1)A(1)) and the X?((1)A(1)) state surfaces. Due to strong angular force induced by the conical intersections, the OD(X) product is extremely hot in the rotational excitation close to the energy limit (N ~ 50 for v = 0). However, the vibrational excitation is cold in the OD(X) product with dominant population in the ground vibrational state v = 0. Detailed experimental results at different photolysis wavelengths show that at higher energy the unstable periodic orbit, from which dissociation starts, on the B? state has stronger excitation degree of the OD internal state. The negative angular anisotropy parameters of the OD(A) products suggest that the angular forces in this adiabatic dissociation pathway from these periodic orbits have changed the original angular distribution of the D(2)O molecule excited by the B?((1)A(1))←X?((1)A(1)) parallel transition.  相似文献

We report a tunable vacuum ultraviolet photodissociation study of H(2)O from different unstable resonances in the B?(1)A(1) electronic state, using the H-atom Rydberg tagging technique. The quantum state resolved OH product translational energy distributions and angular distributions have been measured. Experimental results illustrate, for the first time, that excitation to the different unstable resonances has very different effect on the OH(X) and OH(A) product channels. The OH(X) product rotational distributions vary only slightly, while the OH(A) product rotational distributions and state-resolved angular distributions change dramatically as the photolysis energy increases. Effect of parent rotational excitation on the OH(A) product has also been observed. Through careful simulations to the experimental spectra, OH(A)∕OH(X) branching ratios have been determined at five photolysis wavelengths. The general agreement between theory and experiment in the branching ratios is good. The branching ratios for the OH(A) product from different parent rotational levels are close to the nuclear spin-statistics value, which is also consistent with the extremely low rotational temperature of the H(2)O beam in the current experiment.  相似文献

The general expressions we previously derived for calculating internal conversion rate constants between two adiabatic displaced-distorted-rotated potential energy surfaces, by including all vibratinal modes, are applied to estimate the decay rate constants of 1(1)B(u) ? 2(1)A(g) and 2(1)A(g) ? 1(1)A(g) internal conversions in trans,trans-1,3,5,7-octatetraene molecule. The minimal models with respect to the number and types of vibrational modes are determined for these processes. Our calculations show that in the low temperature limit the 1(1)B(u) ? 2(1)A(g) internal conversion takes place on a 232-290 fs time scale in the condensed phase and 2 ps in the gas phase, whereas 2(1)A(g) ? 1(1)A(g) internal conversion takes place on a 2 μs time scale under the isolated conditions.  相似文献

Dinuclear non-heme iron clusters containing oxo, hydroxo, or carboxylato bridges are found in a number of enzymes involved in O(2) metabolism such as methane monooxygenase, ribonucleotide reductase, and fatty acid desaturases. Efforts to model structural and/or functional features of the protein-bound clusters have prompted the preparation and study of complexes that contain Fe(micro-O(H))(2)Fe cores. Here we report the structures and spectroscopic properties of a family of diiron complexes with the same tetradentate N4 ligand in one ligand topology, namely [(alpha-BPMCN)(2)Fe(II)(2)(micro-OH)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(2) (1), [(alpha-BPMCN)(2)Fe(II)Fe(III)(micro-OH)(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(3) (2), and [(alpha-BPMCN)(2)Fe(III)(2)(micro-O)(micro-OH)](CF(3)SO(3))(3) (3) (BPMCN = N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane). Stepwise one-electron oxidations of 1 to 2 and then to 3 demonstrate the versatility of the Fe(micro-O(H))(2)Fe diamond core to support a number of oxidation states with little structural rearrangement. Insight into the electronic structure of 1, 2', and 3 has been obtained from a detailed M?ssbauer investigation (2' differs from 2 in having a different complement of counterions). Mixed-valence complex 2' is ferromagnetically coupled, with J = -15 +/- 5 cm(-)(1) (H = JS(1).S(2)). For the S = (9)/(2) ground multiplet we have determined the zero-field splitting parameter, D(9/2) = -1.5 +/- 0.1 cm(-)(1), and the hyperfine parameters of the ferric and ferrous sites. For T < 12 K, the S = (9)/(2) multiplet has uncommon relaxation behavior. Thus, M(S) = -(9)/(2) <--> M(S) = +(9)/(2) ground state transition is slow while deltaM(S) = +/-1 transitions between equally signed M(S) levels are fast on the time scale of M?ssbauer spectroscopy. Below 100 K, complex 2' is trapped in the Fe(1)(III)Fe(2)(II) ground state; above this temperature, it exhibits thermally assisted electron hopping into the state Fe(1)(II)Fe(2)(III). The temperature dependence of the isomer shifts was corrected for second-order Doppler shift, obtained from the study of diferrous 1. The resultant true shifts were analyzed in a two-state hopping model. The diferric complex 3 is antiferromagnetically coupled with J = 90 +/- 15 cm(-)(1), estimated from a variable-temperature M?ssbauer analysis.  相似文献

The laser induced fluorescence spectra of the 2(0)(6)A?(1)A(')-X?(1)A(') band of a rotationally cold (<20 K) molecular beam sample of chloro-methylene, HCCl, has been recorded, field-free and in the presence of a static electric field. The field-free spectrum has been analyzed to produce an improved set of spectroscopic parameters for the A?(1)A(') (060) vibronic state. The magnitude of the a-component of the permanent electric dipole moment, μ(a), for the X?(1)A(') (000) vibronic state has been determined to be 0.501(1) D from the analysis of the observed electric field induced shifts. We present photoelectron spectra of the lowest singlet state (1E′') of sym-triazine obtained with 2 ns and 5 ps excitation sources. Comparisons of picosecond and nanosecond spectra are made at three wavelengths, corresponding to the 601, 602 and the 6011201 vibrational levels. The spectra show that rapid (</ 5 ps) relaxation to the lowest triplet state occurs subsequent to singlet excitation. Coupling of S1 levels to the T1 manifold is very inhomogeneous with intersystem crossing rates ranging from 107 s−1 to > 1011 s−1. Furthermore, for excitation at the 6011201 level we find evidence for relaxation to another excited state at rates ⩾ 1011 s−1.  相似文献

Anionic tetrahydrofuran clusters (THF)(n) (-) (1≤n≤100) are studied with photoelectron imaging as gas-phase precursors for electrons solvated in THF. Photoelectron spectra of clusters up to n=5 show two peaks, one of which is attributed to a solvated open chain radical anion and the other to the closed THF ring. At n=6, the spectra change shape abruptly, which become more characteristic of (THF)(n) (-) clusters containing solvated electrons. From n=6-100, the vertical detachment energies (VDEs) of these solvated electron clusters increase from 1.96 to 2.71 eV, scaling linearly with n(-1/3). For fully deuterated (THF-d8)(n) (-) clusters, the apparent transition to a solvated electron cluster is delayed to n=11. Extrapolation of the VDEs to infinite cluster size yields a value of 3.10 eV for the bulk photoelectric threshold. The relatively large VDEs at onset and small stabilization with increasing cluster size compared to other solvated electron clusters may reflect the tendency of the bulk solvent to form preexisting voids that can readily solvate a free electron.  相似文献

The supersonic jet multiphoton ionization (2 photons to resonance, 4 to ionization) 1A1X spectrum of aniline is reported in the 560–590 nm region. The two-photon 1A1X spectrum is very similar to the analogous one-photon spectrum. In particular, ν14, the Kekulé signature mode of two-photon 1Lb substituted benzene spectra is not prominent, but two quanta of the amino inversion mode, νI, are. A dispartiy between theoretical calculations of the 1A1X two-photon cross-section, and the thermal lensing cross-section reported by Rice and Anderson [J. phys. Chem. 90, 6793 (1986)] is noted. The theoretical considerations only account for about half the thermal lensing intensity.  相似文献

The single crystal X-ray diffraction study of (pyrazin-1-ium-1-yl)(perfluoropyridin-4-yl) and (4,4??-bipyridin)-1-ium-1-yl(perfluoropyridin-4-yl)amides is performed. In all cases, the N+-N? bond length is less than that of the single Nplanar.-Nplanar. bond, but considerably more than that of the double N=N bond, which indicates a weak involvement of the N? lone pair of the C5NF4N? group in conjugation with pyrazine or bipyridine moieties. Quantum chemical calculations by DFT/(PBE/L1), B3LYP/L1, and RI-MP2/L1 methods provide the geometry of amides similar to the experimental one. Crystals of (pyrazin-1-ium-1-yl)(perfluoropyridin-4-yl)amide form stacks mainly through F-?? interactions. The stacks are joined in 3D architecture by weak C-H??N and C-H??F hydrogen bonds. In the case of (4,4??-bipyridin)-1-ium-1-yl(perfluoropyridin-4-yl)amide crystals, an essential role is played by the ?? stacking interactions of heteroaromatic rings.  相似文献

The authors report extensive high-level ab initio studies of the first excited (A??(2)A(')) state of HO(2). A global potential energy surface (PES) was developed by spline-fitting 17?000 ab initio points at the internal contracted multireference configuration interaction (icMRCI) level with the AVQZ basis set. To ascertain the spectroscopic accuracy of the PES, the near-equilibrium region of the molecule was also investigated using three interpolating moving least-squares-based PESs employing dynamically weighted icMRCI methods in the complete basis set limit. Vibrational energy levels on all four surfaces agree well with each other and a new assignment of some vibrational features is proposed. In addition, the dynamics of both the forward and reverse directions of the H+O(2)(a??(1)Δ(g))?OH+O reaction (J=0) were studied using an exact wave packet method. The reactions are found to be dominated by sharp resonances.  相似文献

New insights into the structural, electronic and catalytic properties of Fe complexes are provided by a density functional theory study of model as well as real [Fe(II)(H)(2)(diphosphine)(diamine)] systems. Calculations conducted using several different functionals on the trans- and cis-isomers of [Fe(II)(H)(2)(S-xylbinap)(S,S-dpen)] complexes show that, as with the [Ru(II)(H)(2)(diphosphine)(diamine)] complexes, the trans-[Fe(II)(H)(2)(diphosphine)(diamine)] complex is the more stable isomer. Analysis of the spin states of the trans-[Fe(II)(H)(2)(diphosphine)(diamine)] complexes also shows that the singlet state is significantly more stable than the triplet and the quintet, as with the [Ru(II)(H)(2)(diphosphine)(diamine)] complexes. Calculations of the catalytic cycle for the hydrogenation of ketones using two model trans-[M(II)(H)(2)(PH(3))(2)(en)] catalysts, where M = Ru and Fe, show that the mechanism of reaction as well as the activation energies are very similar, in particular: (i) the ketone/alcohol hydrogen transfer reaction occurs through the metal-ligand bifunctional mechanism, with energy barriers of 3.4 and 3.2 kcal mol(-1) for the Ru- and Fe-catalysed reactions, respectively; (ii) the heterolytic splitting of H(2) across the M[partial double bond, bottom dashed]N bond for the regeneration of the Ru and Fe catalysts has an activation barrier of 13.8 and 12.8 kcal mol(-1), respectively, and is expected to be the rate determining step for both catalytic systems. The reduction of acetophenone by trans-[M(II)(H)(2)(S-xylbinap)(S,S-dpen)] complexes along two competitive reaction pathways, shows that the intermediates for the Fe catalytic system are similar to those responsible for the high enantioselectivity of (R)-alcohol in those proposed trans-[Ru(II)(H)(2)(S-xylbinap)(S,S-dpen)] catalysed acetophenone hydrogenation reaction. Thus the high enantiomeric excess in the hydrogenation of acetophenone could, in principle, be achieved using Fe catalysts.  相似文献

A trinuclear bis(cyclohexanedioximate)(chloro)(nitrosyl)ruthenium(II) complex containing two (2,2-bipyridine)-copper(II) groups has been synthesized and its electronic and electrochemical properties investigated. According to ZINDO/S calculations, the electronic structure of the ruthenium(dioximate)(nitrosyl) moiety is strongly delocalized. The electrochemical behavior has been interpreted with the aid of spectroelectrochemical measurements. In the trinuclear complex, it has been shown that the copper(II) ions can promote the oxidation of the NO species generated electrochemically, and also mediate the redox reactions of the complex, under a dioxygen atmosphere.  相似文献
