A double-walled tetrahedral metal-organic cage assembled in solution from silver(I), 2-formyl-1,8-naphthyridine, halide, and a threefold-symmetric triamine. The AgI4X clusters at its vertices each bring together six naphthyridine-imine moieties, leading to a structure in which eight tritopic ligands bridge four clusters in an (AgI4X)4L8 arrangement. Four ligands form an inner set of tetrahedron walls that are surrounded by the outer four. The cage has significant interior volume, and was observed to bind anionic guests. The structure also possesses external binding clefts, located at the edges of the cage, which bound small aromatic guests. Halide ions bound to the silver clusters were observed to exchange in a well-defined hierarchy, allowing modulation of the cavity volume. The principles uncovered here may allow for increasingly more sophisticated cages with silver-cluster vertex architectures, with post-assembly tuning of the interior cavity volume enabling targeted binding behavior.  相似文献

In the title compound, [Ag2(C6H4N2)4](BF4)2, the AgI cations adopt distorted trigonal-planar coordination geometries. The AgI centres are linked via two bridging 2-cyanopyridine ligands to give a centrosymmetric dinuclear complex in which the AgI coordination environment is completed by monodentate non-bridging 2-cyanopyridine ligands. Bridging Ag⋯F(BF2)F⋯Ag interactions link the dinuclear cations into molecular ladders.  相似文献

In the title complex, [Ag2(C7H4NO4)2(C16H16S2)], each AgI atom is trigonally coordinated by one S atom of a 2,11‐dithia[3.3]paracyclophane (dtpcp) ligand, and by one N and one O atom of a 6‐carboxypyridine‐2‐carboxylate ligand. Dtpcp acts as a bidentate ligand, bridging two inversion‐related AgI atoms to give a dinuclear silver(I) compound. The dinuclear moieties are interconnected via O—H·O hydrogen bonds to form a two‐dimensional zigzag sheet. Two such sheets are interwoven viaπ–π interactions between pyridine rings, affording an interwoven bilayer network.  相似文献

{Ag2(12‐C≡C‐closo‐1‐CB11H11)}n and selected pyridine ligands have been used for the synthesis of photostable AgI clusters that, with one exception, exhibit for AgI compounds unusual room‐temperature phosphorescence. Extraordinarily intense phosphorescence was observed for a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal AgI7 cluster that shows an unprecedented quantum yield of Φ=0.76 for AgI clusters. The luminescence properties correlate with the structures of the central AgIn motifs as shown by comparison of the emission properties of the clusters with different numbers of AgI ions, different charges, and electronically different pyridine ligands.  相似文献

The bifunctional pyridine‐2,3‐dicarboxylic acid (H2pdc) ligand has one N atom and four O atoms, which could bind more than one AgI centre with diverse binding modes. A novel infinite one‐dimensional AgI coordination polymer, namely catena‐poly[[silver(I)‐(μ2‐pyridine‐2,3‐dicarboxylato‐κ2N :O 3)‐silver(I)‐tris(μ2‐5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiodiazol‐2‐amine‐κ2N :N ′)] monohydrate ethanol monosolvate], {[Ag2(C7H3NO4)(C3H5N3S)3]·H2O·C2H5OH}n , has been synthesized using H2pdc and 5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazol‐2‐amine (tda), and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. One AgI atom is located in a four‐coordinated AgN4 tetrahedral geometry and the other AgI atom is in a tetrahedral AgN3O geometry. A dinuclear AgI cluster formed by three tda ligands with a paddelwheel configuration is bridged by the dianionic pdc2− ligand into a one‐dimensional coordination polymer. Interchain N—H…O hydrogen bonds extend the one‐dimensional chains into an undulating two‐dimensional sheet. The sheets are further packed into a three‐dimensional supramolecular framework by interchain N—H…O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

A one‐dimensional AgI coordination complex, catena‐poly[[silver(I)‐μ‐{2‐[2‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1H‐benzimidazol‐1‐ylmethyl]phenol‐κ2N2:N3}] perchlorate monohydrate], {[Ag(C19H15N3O)]ClO4·H2O}n, was synthesized by the reaction of 2‐[2‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1H‐benzimidazol‐1‐ylmethyl]phenol (L) with silver perchlorate. In the complex, the L ligands are arranged alternately and link AgI cations through one benzimidazole N atom and the N atom of the pyridine ring, leading to an extended zigzag chain structure. In addition, the one‐dimensional chains are extended into a three‐dimensional supramolecular architecture via O—H...O hydrogen‐bond interactions and π–π stacking interactions. The complex exhibits photoluminescence in acetonitrile solution, with an emission maximum at 390 nm, and investigation of the thermal stability reveals that the network structure is stable up to 650 K.  相似文献

From a predesigned grid, [CuII5CuI4L6] ? (I)2 ? 13 H2O ( 1 ), in which LH2 was a pyrazinyl‐triazolyl‐2,6‐substituted pyridine, we successfully synthesized an extended 3D complex, 1[{CuII5CuI8L6}{μ‐[CuI3(CN)6]}2 ? 2 CH3‐ CN] ( 2 ), that displayed unprecedented coexistence of all the five known coordination geometries of copper. Grid 1 displayed monovalent central metal exchange (CME) of CuI for AgI for the first time, as well as the formation of tri‐iodide in the crystalline state. These systems were investigated for their magnetic properties. Remarkably, grid 1 showed much higher catalytic activity than the Ag‐exchanged product for synthesis of a substituted triazole, 1‐benzyl‐4‐phenyl‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazole.  相似文献

Metallophilic interactions between closed-shell metal ions are becoming a popular tool for a variety of applications related to high-end materials. Heavier d8 transition-metal ions are also considered to have a closed shell and can be involved in such interactions. There is no systematic investigation so far to estimate the structure and energy characteristics of metallophilic interactions in AgII/AgII (d9/d9), AgIII/AgIII (d8/d8), and mixed-valent AgII/AgIII (d9/d8) complexes, which have been demonstrated in the present study. Both interporphyrinic and intermetallic interactions were investigated on stepwise oxidation by using a rigid ethene-bridged cis silver(II) porphyrin dimer and the results compared with those for highly flexible ethane-bridged analogues. By controlling the nature of chemical oxidants and their stoichiometry, both 1e and 2e oxidations were done stepwise to generate AgII/AgIII mixed-valent and AgIII/AgIII porphyrin dimers, respectively. Unlike all other ethene-bridged metalloporphyrin dimers reported earlier, in which 2e oxidation stabilizes only the trans form, such an oxidation of silver(II) porphyrin dimer stabilizes only the cis form because of the metallophilic interaction. Besides silver(II) ⋅⋅⋅ silver(II) interactions in cis silver(II) porphyrin dimer, stepwise oxidations also enabled us to achieve various hitherto-unknown silver(II) ⋅⋅⋅ silver(III) and silver(III) ⋅⋅⋅ silver(III) interactions, which thereby allow significant modulation of their structure and properties. The strength of Ag ⋅⋅⋅ Ag interaction follows the order AgII/AgII (d9/d9)<AgII/AgIII (d9/d8)<AgIII/AgIII (d8/d8). Single-crystal XRD, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), 1H NMR and EPR spectroscopy, and variable-temperature magnetic investigations revealed various oxidation states of silver and metallophilic interactions, which are also well supported by computational analysis.  相似文献

Poly[aniline(AN)‐co‐5‐sulfo‐2‐anisidine(SA)] nanograins with rough and porous structure demonstrate ultrastrong adsorption and highly efficient recovery of silver ions. The effects of five key factors—AN/SA ratio, AgI concentration, sorption time, ultrasonic treatment, and coexisting ions—on AgI adsorbability were optimized, and AN/SA (50/50) copolymer nanograins were found to exhibit much stronger AgI adsorption than polyaniline and all other reported sorbents. The maximal AgI sorption capacity of up to 2034 mg g?1 (18.86 mmol g?1) is the highest thus far and also much higher than the maximal Hg‐ion sorption capacity (10.28 mmol g?1). Especially at ≤2 mM AgI, the nanosorbents exhibit ≥99.98 % adsorptivity, and thus achieve almost complete AgI sorption. The sorption fits the Langmuir isotherm well and follows pseudo‐second‐order kinetics. Studies by IR, UV/Vis, X‐ray diffraction, polarizing microscopy, centrifugation, thermogravimetry, and conductivity techniques showed that AgI sorption occurs by a redox mechanism mainly involving reduction of AgI to separable silver nanocrystals, chelation between AgI and ? NH? /? N?/? NH2/ ? SO3H/? OCH3, and ion exchange between AgI and H+ on ? SO3?H+. Competitive sorption of AgI with coexisting Hg, Pb, Cu, Fe, Al, K, and Na ions was systematically investigated. In particular, the copolymer nanoparticles bearing many functional groups on their rough and porous surface can be directly used to recover and separate precious silver nanocrystals from practical AgI wastewaters containing Fe, Al, K, and Na ions from Kodak Studio. The nanograins have great application potential in the noble metals industry, resource reuse, wastewater treatment, and functional hybrid nanocomposites.  相似文献

The metal-controlled self-assembly of organometallic molecular cylinders from a series of imidazo[1,5-a]pyridine-based tris-NHC ligands is described in this report. The imidazo[1,5-a]pyridinium salts H3- L (PF6)3 ( L = 4 a – 4 c ) were treated with 1.5 equivalents of Ag2O to yield the trinuclear AgI hexacarbene cages [Ag3( L )2](PF6)3 ( L = 4 a – 4 c ), in which three AgI are sandwiched between the two tricarbene ligands. The silver(I) complexes [Ag3( L )2](PF6)3 underwent a facile transmetalation reaction in the presence of 3 equivalents of [AuCl(tht)] (tht=tetrahydrothiophene) to furnish the trinuclear AuI cylinder-like cages [Au3( L )2](PF6)3 ( L = 4 a – 4 c ) without destruction of the metallosupramolecular structure. The new hexacarbene assemblies feature a large cavity that can easily accommodate a molecule of dimethyl sulfoxide as molecular guest. This is the first study of a unique “host–guest” system containing an organometallic cylinder-like cage derived exclusively from poly-NHC ligands.  相似文献

The synthesis and the characterization of two porphyrin coordination cages are reported. The design of the cage formation is based on the coordination of silver(I) ions to the pyridyl units of 3‐pyridyl appended porphyrins. 1H/109Ag NMR spectroscopy, and diffusion‐ordered spectroscopy (DOSY) experiments demonstrate that both the free base porphyrin 2H‐TPyP and the Zn‐porphyrin Zn‐TPyP form the closed cages, [ Ag4(2H‐TPyP)2 ]4+ and [ Ag4(Zn‐TPyP)2 ]4+, respectively, upon addition of two equivalents of Ag+. The complexation processes are characterized in details by means of absorption and emission spectroscopy in diluted CH2Cl2 solutions. The data are discussed in the frame of the point‐dipole exciton coupling theory; the two porphyrin monomers, in fact, experience a rigid face‐to‐face geometry in the cages and a weak inter‐porphyrin exciton coupling. An intermediate species is observed, for Zn‐TPyP , in a porphyrin/Ag+ stoichiometric ratio of about 1:0.5 and is tentatively ascribed to an oblique open form. The occurrence of a photoinduced electron‐transfer reaction within the cages is excluded on the basis of the experimental outcomes and thermodynamic evaluations. Photophysical experiments evidence different reactivities of singlet and triplet excited states in the assemblies. A lower fluorescence quantum yield and triplet formation is discussed in relation to the constrained geometry of the complexes. Unusually long triplet excited state lifetimes are measured for the assemblies.  相似文献

The title compound, poly[[μ4‐5‐carboxy‐4‐carboxylato‐2‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐ido]disilver(I)], [Ag2(C10H5N3O4)]n, was synthesized by reacting silver nitrate with 2‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1H‐imidazole‐4,5‐dicarboxylic acid (H3PyIDC) under hydrothermal conditions. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographically independent AgI cations and one unique HPyIDC2− anion. Both AgI cations are three‐coordinated in distorted T‐shaped coordination geometries. One AgI cation is coordinated by one N and two O atoms from two HPyIDC2− anions, while the other is bonded to one O and two N atoms from two HPyIDC2− anions. It is interesting to note that the HPyIDC2− group acts as a μ4‐bridging ligand to link the AgI cations into a three‐dimensional framework, which can be simplified as a diamondoid topology. The thermal stability and photoluminescent properties of the title compound have also been studied.  相似文献

By employing the subcomponent self‐assembly approach utilizing 5,10,15,20‐tetrakis(4‐aminophenyl)porphyrin or its zinc(II) complex, 1H ‐4‐imidazolecarbaldehyde, and either zinc(II) or iron(II) salts, we were able to prepare O‐symmetric cages having a confined volume of ca. 1300 Å3. The use of iron(II) salts yielded coordination cages in the high‐spin state at room temperature, manifesting spin‐crossover in solution at low temperatures, whereas corresponding zinc(II) salts led to the corresponding diamagnetic analogues. The new cages were characterized by synchrotron X‐ray crystallography, high‐resolution mass spectrometry, and NMR, Mössbauer, IR, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. The cage structures and UV/Vis spectra were independently confirmed by state‐of‐the‐art DFT calculations. A remarkably high‐spin‐stabilizing effect through encapsulation of C70 was observed. The spin‐transition temperature T 1/2 is lowered by 20 K in the host–guest complex.  相似文献

In the organometallic silver(I) supramolecular complex poly[[silver(I)‐μ3‐3‐[4‐(2‐thienyl)‐2H‐cyclopenta[d]pyridazin‐1‐yl]benzonitrile] perchlorate methanol solvate], {[Ag(C18H11N3S)](ClO4)·CH3OH}n, there is only one type of AgI center, which lies in an {AgN2Sπ} coordination environment. Two unsymmetric multidentate 3‐[4‐(2‐thienyl)‐2H‐cyclopenta[d]pyridazin‐1‐yl]benzonitrile (L) ligands link two AgI atoms through π–AgI interactions into an organometallic box‐like unit, from which two 3‐cyanobenzoyl arms stretch out in opposite directions and bind two AgI atoms from neighboring box‐like building blocks. This results in a novel two‐dimensional network extending in the crystallographic bc plane. These two‐dimensional sheets stack together along the crystallographic a axis to generate parallelogram‐like channels. The methanol solvent molecules and the perchlorate counter‐ions are located in the channels, where they are fixed by intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions. This architecture may provide opportunities for host–guest chemistry, such as guest molecule loss and absorption or ion exchange. The new fulvene‐type multidentate ligand L is a good candidate for the preparation of Cp–AgI‐containing (Cp is cyclopentadienyl) organometallic coordination polymers or supramolecular complexes.  相似文献

Two new polymeric iodoargentate hybrids induced by rare earth metal complexes and conjugated organic cations, {[Er(DMF)8][Ag6I9]}n ( 1 ) and [(MMP)(AgI2)]n ( 2 ) (MMP = 1‐methyl‐4‐methylpyridinium) were obtained by the routine synthetic reaction and structurally determined. In compound 1 , a (Ag6I9)n3n chain is defined by edge‐sharing Ag6I12 units, and in 2 , the (Ag2I4)n2– chains are constructed by edge‐sharing AgI4 tetrahedra. C–H ··· I hydrogen bonds between cations and iodoargentate polyanions contribute to their structural extension from 1D to a 2D layer (for 1 ) and a 3D network (for 2 ). The UV/Vis spectra indicate that compared with 2 , compound 1 exhibits a narrower adsorption scope with an onset at about 360 nm, and it has a much wider bandgap of about 3.50 eV.  相似文献

In this study we synthesized two‐ and four‐armed porphyrins – bearing two carboxyl and four 2‐aminoquinolino functionalities, respectively, at their meso positions – as a complementary hydrogen bonding pair for the self‐assembly of a D2‐symmetric porphyrin trimer host. Two units of the two‐armed porphyrin and one unit of the four‐armed porphyrin self‐assembled quantitatively into the D2‐symmetric porphyrin trimer, stabilized through ammidinium‐carboxylate salt bridge formation, in CH2Cl2 and CHCl3. The porphyrin trimer host gradually bound two units of 1,3,5‐trinitrobenzene between the pair of porphyrin units, forming a five‐layer aromatic structure. At temperatures below ?40 °C, the rates of association and dissociation of the complexes were slow on the NMR spectroscopic time scale, allowing the 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 complexes of the trimer host and trinitrobenzene guest(s) to be detected independently when using less than 2 eq of trinitrobenzene. Vis titration experiments revealed the values of K1 (2.1±0.4×105 M?1) and K2 (2.2±0.06×104 M?1) in CHCl3 at room temperature.  相似文献

The hardness of oxo ions (O2?) means that coinage‐metal (Cu, Ag, Au) clusters supported by oxo ions (O2?) are rare. Herein, a novel μ4‐oxo supported all‐alkynyl‐protected silver(I)–copper(I) nanocluster [Ag74?xCuxO12(PhC≡C)50] ( NC‐1 , avg. x=37.9) is characterized. NC‐1 is the highest nuclearity silver–copper heterometallic cluster and contains an unprecedented twelve interstitial μ4‐oxo ions. The oxo ions originate from the reduction of nitrate ions by NaBH4. The oxo ions induce the hierarchical aggregation of CuI and AgI ions in the cluster, forming the unique regioselective distribution of two different metal ions. The anisotropic ligand coverage on the surface is caused by the jigsaw‐puzzle‐like cluster packing incorporating rare intermolecular C?H???metal agostic interactions and solvent molecules. This work not only reveals a new category of high‐nuclearity coinage‐metal clusters but shows the special clustering effect of oxo ions in the assembly of coinage‐metal clusters.  相似文献

A novel two‐dimensional coordination polymer, poly[[μ2‐1,3‐bis(2‐methyl‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)propane]di‐μ4‐iodido‐di‐μ3‐iodido‐silver(I)], [Ag4I4(C11H16N4)]n, (I), has been synthesized by solvothermal reaction of AgNO3, KI and 1,3‐bis(2‐methyl‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)propane (bmimp). In (I), the two unique AgI cations have AgNI3 and AgI4 four‐coordinated tetrahedral geometries. The bmimp ligand has imposed twofold symmetry. The AgI cations and iodide anions form a unique one‐dimensional polymeric column motif incorporating [Ag6I6] hexagonal prisms, which are then connected by bmimp ligands to form two‐dimensional organic–inorganic layers. The layers are arranged in parallel in an ABAB fashion and are packed into the resultant three‐dimensional supramolecular framework by van der Waals interactions.  相似文献

Large silver(I) clusters stabilized by the dianionic carba-closo-dodecaboranylethynyl ligand were obtained. Crystallization of polymeric {Ag2(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)}n from dimethyl sulfoxide afforded [Ag14(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)7(DMSO)12] · DMSO that contained an AgI10 cage augmented by four AgI ions. Crystals of [Ag16(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)8(THF)12] · 2THF were obtained from anhydrous THF and {Ag2(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)}n. In the presence of moisture the similar but water-containing complex [Ag16(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)8(THF)12(H2O)2] · 2.5THF was identified. Both silver(I) clusters are composed of a central octahedral AgI6 unit and ten further silver(I) ions bonded via argentophilic interactions. [Ag14(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)7(DMSO)12] · DMSO and [Ag16(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)8(THF)12] · 2THF were characterized by elemental analysis and vibrational (IR and Raman) as well as NMR spectroscopy. In addition, the crystal structures of [Ag25(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)12(CH3CN)13.5(OH)] · 0.5CH3CN and [Ag25(12-C≡C-closo-1-CB11H11)12{(CH3)2CO}13.5(H2O)Cl] · 15(CH3)2CO were determined. Both compounds contain AgI14 rhombic dodecahedrons augmented by eleven silver(I) ions. A hydroxide or a chloride template ion is present in the center of the rhombic dodecahedron, respectively.  相似文献

The new asymmetrical organic ligand 2‐{4‐[(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]phenyl}‐5‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole ( L , C17H13N5O), containing pyridine and imidazole terminal groups, as well as potential oxdiazole coordination sites, was designed and synthesized. The coordination chemistry of L with soft AgI, CuI and CdII metal ions was investigated and three new coordination polymers (CPs), namely, catena‐poly[[silver(I)‐μ‐2‐{4‐[(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]phenyl}‐5‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole] hexafluoridophosphate], {[Ag( L )]PF6}n, catena‐poly[[copper(I)‐di‐μ‐iodido‐copper(I)‐bis(μ‐2‐{4‐[(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]phenyl}‐5‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole)] 1,4‐dioxane monosolvate], {[Cu2I2( L )2]·C4H8O2}n, and catena‐poly[[[dinitratocopper(II)]‐bis(μ‐2‐{4‐[(1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)methyl]phenyl}‐5‐(pyridin‐4‐yl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole)]–methanol–water (1/1/0.65)], {[Cd( L )2(NO3)2]·2CH4O·0.65H2O}n, were obtained. The experimental results show that ligand L coordinates easily with linear AgI, tetrahedral CuI and octahedral CdII metal atoms to form one‐dimensional polymeric structures. The intermediate oxadiazole ring does not participate in the coordination interactions with the metal ions. In all three CPs, weak π–π interactions between the nearly coplanar pyridine, oxadiazole and benzene rings play an important role in the packing of the polymeric chains.  相似文献
