Monolithic and transparent Ti‐incorporated mesoporous silica materials of large size (e.g. 2 mm) in dimension have been prepared with tartaric add (TA) as template via sol‐gel reactions of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and tetrabutyl titanate (TBT). The materials are characterized by infrared (IR), nitrogen adsorption‐desorption isotherms, powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results indicate that the monolithic materials exhibit large specific surface areas (ca. 1200 mVg) and pore volumes (ca. 0.900 cm3/g).  相似文献

The first anion‐templated synthesis of a lanthanide‐containing interlocked molecule is demonstrated by utilizing a nitrite anion to template initial pseudorotaxane formation. Subsequent stoppering of the interpenetrated assembly allows for the preparation of a lanthanide‐functionalized [2]rotaxane in high yield. Following removal of the nitrite anion template, the europium [2]rotaxane host is demonstrated to recognize and sense fluoride selectively.  相似文献

The host features a flexible helical framework and chiral amphiphilic channel surfaces capable of multiple interactions with guest species.

Ethynylpyridine polymers and oligomers consisting of 4‐substituted pyridine rings linked by acetylene bonds at the 2‐ and 6‐positions have been investigated. Ethynylpyridine oligomers covalently linked with a glycosyl chiral template form chiral helical complexes by intramolecular hydrogen bonding, in which the chirality of the template is translated to the helix. With a view to fixation of the chiral architecture, D /L ‐galactosyl‐ and D /L ‐mannosyl‐linked ethynylpyridine oligomers have been developed with 4‐(3‐butenyloxy)pyridine units having alkene side chains. The helical structures are successfully stapled by alkene metathesis of the side chains. Subsequent removal of the chiral templates by acidolysis produces template‐free stapled oligomers. The chiral, template‐free, stapled oligomers show chiral helicity, which is resistant to polar solvents and heating.  相似文献

Directional self-assembly of uncharged molecules in water is a major challenge in supramolecular chemistry. Herein, it is demonstrated that peptide-based cavitands wrap around a hydrophobic core (fullerene C60) by a combination of the hydrophobic effect and hydrogen-bonding interactions to form highly ordered three-component complexes in water that resemble the molten-globule stage of protein folding. The complexes were characterized by DOSY NMR spectroscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, and circular dichroism, and their structures were confirmed by X-ray crystallography. Enhancement of the CD signals by nearly one order of magnitude and increased hydrolytic stability of hydrazone bonds of the complexes relative to the nonassembled species were observed. In contrast, DMSO and DMSO/water mixtures were found to be highly disintegrative for these complexes. Interestingly, some cavitands can only be synthesized in the presence of the hydrophobic template followed by disassembly of the complexes.  相似文献

A chiral selection process in a self‐assembled soft monolayer of an achiral amphiphile as a consequence of its interaction with chiral species dissolved in the aqueous subphase, is reported. The extent of the chiral selection is statistically measured in terms of the enantiomorphic excess of self‐assembled submillimeter domains endowed with well‐defined orientational chirality that is unambiguously resolved using optical microscopy. Our results show that the emergence of chirality is mediated by electrostatic interactions and significantly enhanced by hydrophobic effects. This chiral chemical effect can be suppressed and even reversed by opposing a macroscopic physical influence, such as vortical stirring. This result gives evidence for the crucial role of hydrodynamic effects in supramolecular aggregation.  相似文献

Vernier templating exploits a mismatch between the number of binding sites in a template and a reactant to direct the formation of a product that is large enough to bind several template units. Here, we present a detailed study of the Vernier‐templated synthesis of a 12‐porphyrin nanoring. NMR and small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS) analyses show that Vernier complexes are formed as intermediates in the cyclo‐oligomerization reaction. UV/Vis/NIR titrations show that the three‐component assembly of the 12‐porphyrin nanoring figure‐of‐eight template complex displays high allosteric cooperativity and chelate cooperativity. This nanoring–template 1:2 complex is among the largest synthetic molecules to have been characterized by single‐crystal analysis. It crystallizes as a racemate, with an angle of 27° between the planes of the two template units. The crystal structure reveals many unexpected intramolecular C?H???N contacts involving the tert‐butyl side chains. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) experiments show that molecules of the 12‐porphyrin template complex can remain intact on the gold surface, although the majority of the material unfolds into the free nanoring during electrospray deposition.  相似文献

Organic molecules with accompanying self‐organization have been a great subject in chemistry, material science and nanotechnology in the past two decades. One of the most important roles of organized organic molecules is the capability of templating complexly structured inorganic materials. The focus of this Minireview is on nanostructured silica with divergent morphologies and/or integrated chirality directed by organic templates of self‐assembled polyamine/polypeptides/block copolymers, chiral organogels, self‐organized chiral amphiphiles and chiral crystalline complexes, etc., by biomimetic silicification and conventional sol–gel reaction. Bromide is best : The first [2]rotaxane incorporating the triazolium anion‐binding motif is prepared using bromide anion templation. Preliminary anion‐binding investigations reveal that the rotaxane exhibits the rare selectivity preference for bromide over chloride ions.
