The distorted wave is introduced into the relativistic impulse approximation to generate the Dirac optical potentials for proton elastic scattering. Those potentials, produced by folding the target ground state wavefunction with the free nucleon-nucleon interactions, are used to reevaluate scattering observables, such as differential cross section, analysing power and spin rotation function, for proton elastic scattering from ^12C and ^16O at Elab = 200 MeV, respectively. The inclusion of the distorted wave in the original relativistic impulse approximation has brought out better results of the observables, especially at small scattering angles.  相似文献

A multiple scattering formalism for the medium energy hadron-deuteron elastic scattering is developed. This approach provides an extension of the Glauber theory incorporating the complete spin structure and the corrections to the eikonal and fixed scatterer approximations. The systematics of the spin observables and their relation to the hadron-deuteron as well as to hadron-nucleon amplitudes are discussed. An approximate cancellation between few corrections to the double scattering term is found which leaves the non-eikonal correction as the dominant one, and often, very important numerically, e.g., in the deuteron tensor polarization. Comparison of the parameter-free predictions of the theory based on the recent NN phase shift amplitudes with the data on polarization observables in pd elastic scattering is made.  相似文献

We present an experimental study of the propagation of quantum noise in a multiple scattering random medium. Both static and dynamic scattering measurements are performed: the total transmission of noise is related to the mean free path for scattering, while the noise frequency correlation function determines the diffusion constant. The quantum noise observables are found to scale markedly differently with scattering parameters compared to classical noise observables. The measurements are explained with a full quantum model of multiple scattering.  相似文献

Recently developed chiral nucleon-nucleon (NN) forces at next-to-leading order (NLO), that describe NN phase shifts up to about 100 MeV fairly well, have been applied to 3N and 4N systems. Faddeev-Yakubovsky equations have been solved rigorously. The resulting 3N and 4N binding energies are in the same range as found using standard NN potentials. In addition, low-energy 3N scattering observables are very well reproduced as for standard NN forces. The long-standing A(y) puzzle is absent at NLO. The cutoff dependence of the scattering observables is rather weak.  相似文献

The 16 independent amplitudes making up the NN → NΔ scattering matrix are written in forms suitable for calculating observables, particularly, spin observables. Some of these observables are calculated, using amplitudes of the unitary Aaron-Amado-Young three-body model with iterated pion-exchange forces and displayed as functions of the production angle, the incident energy and the invariant mass of Δ. Comparisons with simpler models are also given.  相似文献

The differential cross section and polarization observables are calculated for the elastic scattering of 800-MeV protons by 20Ne nuclei. The assumption that the 20Ne nucleus has an alpha-cluster structure is shown to lead to results that agree with the measured values of observables of the above scattering process.  相似文献

On the basis of the Glauber-Sitenko approach, the cross sections and spin observables for proton-nucleus scattering at intermediate energies are calculated with allowance for intermediate excitations of target nuclei. The calculations are performed by using the Hartree-Fock and model-independent nuclear densities and nucleon-nucleon amplitudes determined from partial-wave analyses. It is shown that the inclusion of intermediate excitations of nuclei strongly affects the behavior of observables in the region of moderately small scattering angles.  相似文献

Four-boson system is studied in the limit of large two-boson scattering length by solving momentum-space integral equations for the four-particle transition operators. A number of universal results for atom-trimer scattering observables is found.  相似文献

The four-body equations of Alt, Grassberger, and Sandhas are solved, for the first time, for proton-3He scattering including the Coulomb interaction between the three protons using the method of screening and renormalization as was done recently for proton-deuteron scattering. Various realistic two-nucleon potentials are used. Large Coulomb effects are seen on all observables. Comparison with data at different energies shows large deviations in the proton analyzing power but quite reasonable agreement in other observables. The effect of the nucleon-nucleon magnetic moment interaction and correlations between p-d and p-3He analyzing powers are studied.  相似文献

We study twist-three effects in deeply virtual Compton scattering on an unpolarized spin-1/2 target. A careful definition of observables as Fourier moments w.r.t. the azimuthal angle allows for a clear separation of twist-two and -three effects. Although the latter are power suppressed, they give leading contributions to the twist-three asymmetries and do not affect the twist-two observables.  相似文献

Elastic scattering in the Multiperipheral Model (MPM) is examined by use of a new method for simplifying unitary calculations - multiparticle impact parameter. The t dependence of elastic scattering in the MPM is related to the average transverse momentum of produced particles, the average multiplicities (observables), phase variation with transverse momentum, and clustering (not observables, in general). It is shown that MPM's are inconsistent with the combination of elastic and multiparticle data, unless either the cluster size or the phases have rather strong energy dependence.  相似文献

Nucleon–nucleon scattering observables are considered in the context of the large Nc limit of QCD for initial states with moderately high momenta (pNc). The scattering is studied in the framework of the time-dependent mean-field approximation. We focus on the dependence of those observables on the spin and isospin of the initial state which may be computed using time-dependent mean-field theory. We show that, up to corrections, all such observables must be invariant under simultaneous spin and isospin flips (i.e., rotations through π/2 in both spin and isospin) acting on either particle. All observables of this class obtained from spin unpolarized measurements must be isospin independent up to 1/Nc corrections. Moreover, it can be shown that the leading correction is of relative order 1/Nc2 rather than 1/Nc.  相似文献

We calculate the S -wave scattering lengths for charmed mesons scattering off Goldstone bosons and explore their quark mass dependence using the chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order as well as a unitarized version of it. The quark mass dependence of all scattering lengths determined in a recent lattice calculation can be reproduced by the unitarized version. We also discuss signals of possible bound states in these observables.  相似文献

Using a general parametrization of the spin structure of the matrix element for elastic eN-scattering, in terms of three independent complex amplitudes, we found the expressions for all polarization observables, in electron–proton elastic scattering. This allows to suggest possible methods to measure the nucleon electromagnetic form factors, in presence of two-photon exchange. We show that the measurements of the differential cross section for electron and positron nucleon elastic scattering, in the same kinematical conditions, allows to extract the nucleon electromagnetic form factors. The same is correct for the polarization method, with the measurement of the Px,z components of the final nucleon polarization (for the scattering of longitudinally polarized electrons and positrons). An alternative way, in absence of positron beam, is to measure a definite set of T-odd polarization observables, which includes three different experiments or only T-even observables, with five independent experiments. In both cases, the ratio GE(Q2)/GM(Q2) is related to quantities of the order of and requires different polarization experiments with very high accuracy.  相似文献

The influence of the parameters of the relativistic optical potential on the nucleon scattering properties, such as cross sections, angular distributions and spin observables etc.,is studied based on a set of global Dirac phenomenological optical potentials. It is shown that,in contrast with the case at low energies.the total scattering cross sections vary slowly as the energy and weakly depend on the potentials at Ep<200MeV.The differential cross sections and spin observables depend not only on the volume integrals of the optical potentials, but also on their strengths and shapes. The applicability of the relativistic microscopic optical potentia based on Walecka model in the medium energy region is also discussed in this paper.  相似文献

We examine manifestations of neutron electromagnetic polarizabilities in coherent Compton scattering from the helium-3 nucleus. We calculate gamma3He elastic scattering observables using chiral perturbation theory to next-to-leading order [O(e2Q)]. We find that the unpolarized differential cross section can be used to measure neutron electric and magnetic polarizabilities, while two double-polarization observables are sensitive to different linear combinations of the four neutron spin polarizabilities.  相似文献

Atom-dimer scattering below the three-body breakup threshold is studied for a system of three identical bosons. The atom-dimer scattering length and the energy of the most weakly bound three-body state are shown to be strongly correlated. An appropriate rescaling of the observables reveals the subtlety of the correlation and serves to identify universal trends in the unitary limit of divergent two-body scattering length. The correlation provides a new quantitative measure of the degree of universality in three-body systems with short-ranged interactions, as well as a consistency check of effective field theories and other theoretical models.  相似文献
