The development of a shear-deformable laminated plate element, based on the Mindlin plate theory, for use in large reference displacement analysis is presented. The element is sufficiently general to accept an arbitrary number of layers and an arbitrary number of orthotrophic material property sets. Coordinate mapping is utilized so that non-rectangular elements may be modeled. The Gauss quadrature method of numerical integration is utilized to evaluate volume integrals. A comparative study is done on the use of full Gauss quadrature, reduced Gauss quadrature, mixed Gauss quadrature, and closed form integration techniques for the element. Dynamic analysis is performed on the RSSR (Revolute-Spherical-Spherical-Revolute) mechanism, with the coupler modeled as a flexible plate. The results indicate the differences in the dynamic response of the transverse shear deformable eight-noded element as compared to a four-noded plate element. Dynamically induced stresses are examined, with the results indicating that the primary deformation mode of the eight-noded Mindlin plate model being bending.  相似文献

A spatial beam element for static and dynamic problems which involve large displacements and rotations is described. This beam element is applied to static linear buckling problems, the simulation of the motion of a slider-crank mechanism with a flexible connecting rod and a planar and spatial spin-up motion of a flexible beam. Very general weak forms may be developed for dynamic systems, the most general being analogous to a Hu-Washizu three-field formulation, thus paralleling well-established weak methods of solid mechanics. In this work two different formulations are developed: a pure displacement formulation and a two-field mixed formulation. With the objective of developing a thorough understanding of the peculiar features of finite elements in time, the relevant methodologies associated with this approach for dynamics are extensively discussed. After having laid the theoretical bases, the finite element approximation and the linearization of the resulting forms are developed, together with a method for the treatment of holonomic and nonholonomic constraints, thus widening the horizons of applicability over the vast world of multibody system dynamics. With the purpose of enlightening on the peculiar numerical behavior of the different approaches, simple but meaningful examples are illustrated. To this aim, significant parallels with elastostatics are emphasized. The inverse dynamics problem for articulated structural systems such as robotic manipulators is the problem of the determination of the joint actuator forces and motor torques such that the system components follow specified motion trajectories. In many of the previous investigations, the open loop control law was established using an inverse dynamics procedure in which the centrifugal and Coriolis inertia forces are linearized such that these forces in the flexible model are the same as those in the rigid body model. In some other investigations, the effect of the nonlinear centrifugal and Coriolis forces is neglected in the analysis and control system design of articulated structural systems. It is the objective of this investigation to study the effect of the linearization of the centrifugal and Coriolis forces on the nonlinear dynamics of constrained flexible mechanical systems. The virtual work of the inertia forces is used to define the complete nonlinear centrifugal and Coriolis force model. This nonlinear model that depends on the rate of the finite rotation and the elastic deformation of the deformable bodies is used to obtain the solution of the inverse dynamics problem, thus defining the joint torques that produce the desired motion trajectories. The effect of the linearization of the mass matrix as well as the centrifugal and Coriolis forces on the obtained feedforward control law is examined numerically. The results presented in this investigation are obtained using a slider crank mechanism with a flexible connecting rod.  相似文献

从有限单元柔度法的基本思想出发,基于完全拉格朗日格式(TL格式),建立了能考虑材料与几何双重非线性的一般化空间梁柱单元,适用于满足Euler-Bernoulli梁柱二阶分析理论假定的空间杆系结构非线性分析。另外,在梁柱单元截面分析中引入纤维模型,使其适用于解决钢筋混凝土这类复合材料结构的非线性分析问题。对钢筋混凝土双向偏心受压柱试验结果的模拟分析表明,本文所提方法是正确、可靠的,能有效地分析钢筋混凝土框架柱的材料与几何双重非线性问题。  相似文献

在对 T.L/ U.L.法和 C.Oran梁柱单元有限元法进行系统研究比较的基础上 ,推导了结合以上两种理论的几何非线性有限元列式。C.Oran梁柱单元在分析轴力为主的结构时具有非常高的效率 ,但在分析纯弯曲问题时却存在很大困难。本文采用 VC 6 .0编制了面向对象的非线性有限元程序 ,对其进行了考题验算分析 ,得出了有用的结论。  相似文献

In this paper a new method is developed for the dynamic analysis of contact conditions in flexible multibody systems undergoing a rolling type of motion. The relative motion between the two contacting bodies is treated as a constraint condition describing their kinematic and geometric relations. Equations of motion of the system are presented in a matrix form making use of Kane's equations and finite element method. The method developed has been implemented in a general purpose program called DARS and applied to the simulation and analysis of a rotating wheel on a track. Both the bodies are assumed flexible and discretized using a three dimensional 8-noded isoparametric elements. The time variant constraint conditions are imposed on the nodal points located at the peripheral surfaces of the bodies under consideration. The simulation is carried out under two different boundary conditions describing the support of the track. The subsequent constraint forces associated with the generalized coordinates of the system are computed and plotted. The effects of friction are also discussed.  相似文献

针对大规模结构非线性瞬态动力分析非常耗时,提出了相应的并行算法。该算法采用无条件稳定的Ne-wmark-β方法(平均加速技术)进行时间积分,并结合区域分裂技术进行分析。它不同于已有的采用非重叠区域的并行算法,而是采用重叠区域的并行算法。对给定结构有限元分析的质量、阻尼、刚度矩阵进行分裂可推出重叠区域分裂算法的计算公式。为改善每一步的求解,采用预估和校正子方案。编写了该算法的程序,在工作站机群上实现了数值算例,验证了算法的性能。计算结果表明该算法优于非重叠区域分裂算法。  相似文献

为了描述钻柱与井壁的随机碰撞接触状态,本文构造了动力间隙元,并推导了动力间隙元的相对压缩量和迭代求解格式。把动力间隙元与梁单元相结合,采用Newmark直接积分法和冲量定理,进行了钻柱碰撞接触非线性瞬态动力学分析。经工程应用表明,构造的动力间隙元能够描述钻柱的碰撞接触状态,所设计的偏心防斜钻具已在大庆油田得到应用,取得了明显的经济和社会效益。  相似文献

A finite element method for quasi‐incompressible viscous flows is presented. An equation for pressure is derived from a second‐order time accurate Taylor–Galerkin procedure that combines the mass and the momentum conservation laws. At each time step, once the pressure has been determined, the velocity field is computed solving discretized equations obtained from another second‐order time accurate scheme and a least‐squares minimization of spatial momentum residuals. The terms that stabilize the finite element method (controlling wiggles and circumventing the Babuska–Brezzi condition) arise naturally from the process, rather than being introduced a priori in the variational formulation. A comparison between the present second‐order accurate method and our previous first‐order accurate formulation is shown. The method is also demonstrated in the computation of the leaky‐lid driven cavity flow and in the simulation of a crossflow past a circular cylinder. This paper investigates nonlinear normal modes and their superposition in a two degrees of freedom asymmetric system with cubic nonlinearities for all nonsingular conditions, based on the invariant subspace in nonlinear normal modes for the nonlinear equations of motion. The focus of attention is to consider relation between the validity of superposition and the static bifurcation of modal dynamics. The numerical results show that the validity has something to do not only with its local restriction, but also with the static bifurcation of modal dynamics. Various discretization methods exist for the numerical simulation of multiphase flow in porous media. In this paper, two methods are introduced and analyzed—a full‐upwind Galerkin method which belongs to the classical finite element methods, and a mixed‐hybrid finite element method based on an implicit pressure–explicit saturation (IMPES) approach. Both methods are derived from the governing equations of two‐phase flow. Their discretization concepts are compared in detail. Their efficiency is discussed using several examples. The key component of finite element analysis of structures with fuzzy parameters, which is associated with handling of some fuzzy information and arithmetic relation of fuzzy variables , was the solving of the governing equations of fuzzy finite element method. Based on a given interval representation of fuzzy numbers, some arithmetic rules of fuzzy numbers and fuzzy variables were developed in terms of the properties of interval arithmetic. According to the rules and by the theory of interval finite element method, procedures for solving the static governing equations of fuzzy finite element method of structures were presented. By the proposed procedure, the possibility distributions of responses of fuzzy structures can be generated in terms of the membership functions of the input fuzzy numbers. It is shown by a numerical example that the computational burden of the presented procedures is low and easy to implement. The effectiveness and usefulness of the presented procedures are also illustrated.  相似文献
