In this presentation, a technique for constructing bent functions from plateaued functions is introduced and analyzed. This generalizes earlier techniques for constructing bent from near-bent functions. Using this construction, we obtain a big variety of inequivalent bent functions, some weakly regular and some non-weakly regular. Classes of bent functions having some additional properties that enable the construction of strongly regular graphs are formed, and explicit expressions for bent functions with maximal degree are presented.  相似文献

Chen and Huang established some elegant modular relations for the Göllnitz–Gordon functions analogous to Ramanujan’s list of forty identities for the Rogers–Ramanujan functions. In this paper, we derive some new modular relations involving cubes of the Göllnitz–Gordon functions. In this paper, we give some conditions for a class of functions related to Bessel functions to be positive definite or strictly positive definite. We present some properties and relationships involving logarithmically completely monotonic functions and strictly positive definite functions. In particular, we are interested with the modified Bessel functions of the second kind. As applications, we prove the logarithmically monotonicity for a class of functions involving the modified Bessel functions of second kind and we established new inequalities for this function.  相似文献

We give some alternative forms of the generating functions for the Bernstein basis functions. Using these forms,we derive a collection of functional equations for the generating functions. By applying these equations, we prove some identities for the Bernstein basis functions. Integrating these identities, we derive a variety of identities and formulas, some old and some new, for combinatorial sums involving binomial coefficients, Pascal's rule, Vandermonde's type of convolution, the Bernoulli polynomials, and the Catalan numbers. In this paper, we extend some known elementary trigonometric inequalities, and their hyperbolic analogues to Bessel and modified Bessel functions of the first kind. In order to prove our main results, we present some monotonicity and convexity properties of some functions involving Bessel and modified Bessel functions of the first kind. We also deduce some Turán and Lazarević-type inequalities for the confluent hypergeometric functions.  相似文献

We consider regularity for solutions of a class of de Rham’s functional equations. Under some smoothness conditions of functions making up the equation, we improve some results in Hata (Japan J Appl Math 2:381–414, 1985). Our results are applicable to some cases when the functions making up the equation are non-linear functions on an interval, specifically, polynomials and linear fractional transformations. Our results imply the singularity of some well-known singular functions, in particular, Minkowski’s question-mark function, and, some small perturbed functions of the singular functions.  相似文献

We deliver formulae for the biconjugate functions of some infimal functions that hold provided the fulfilment of weak regularity conditions of both closedness and interiority types. As special cases, we obtain biconjugates of infimal convolutions of finitely many functions, of optimal value functions of both constrained and unconstrained optimization problems as well as of marginal functions associated with multifunctions (that can be, for instance, convex processes) and some given functions. In this paper, we first give some characterizations for P-class functions. Then giving a Hermite–Hadamard type inequality for P-class functions, we prove equivalency of some significant metrics in normed linear spaces. Dual feasible functions have been used to compute fast lower bounds and valid inequalities for integer linear problems. In this paper, we analyze the worst-case performance of the lower bounds provided by some of the best functions proposed in the literature. The staircase and fractional part functions are basic examples of real functions. They can be applied in several parts of mathematics, such as analysis, number theory, formulas for primes, and so on; in computer programming, the floor and ceiling functions are provided by a significant number of programming languages – they have some basic uses in various programming tasks. In this paper, we view the staircase and fractional part functions as a classical example of non-continuous real functions. We introduce some of their basic properties, present some interesting constructions concerning them, and explore some intriguing interpretations of such functions. Throughout the paper, we use these functions in order to explain basic concepts in a first calculus course, such as domain of definition, discontinuity, and oddness of functions. We also explain in detail how, after researching the properties of such functions, one can draw their graph; this is a crucial part in the process of understanding their nature. In the paper, we present some subjects that the first-year student in the exact sciences may not encounter. We try to clarify those subjects and show that such ideas are important in the understanding of non-continuous functions, as a part of studying analysis in general.  相似文献

In this paper, we present some Farkas-type results for a fractional programming problem. To this end, by using the properties of dualizing parametrization functions, Lagrangian functions and the epigraph of the conjugate functions, we introduce some new notions of regularity conditions and then obtain some dual forms of Farkas-type results for this fractional programming problem. We also obtain sufficient conditions for alternative type theorems. As an application of these results, we obtain the corresponding results for a convex optimization problem.  相似文献

This note is devoted to the generalization of ?ojasiewicz inequalities for functions definable in o-minimal structures, which is, roughly speaking, a generalization for semialgebraic or global subanalytic functions. We present some o-minimal versions of the inequalities to compare two definable functions globally or in some neighborhoods of the zero-sets of the functions, and the gradient inequalities (Kurdyka–?ojasiewicz inequality and Bochnak–?ojasiewicz inequality).
