The use of the relative intensity method for measurement of the rotational temperature of nitrogen in a rarefied air flow by means of glow-discharge excitation of luminescence is described. Special features of measurement of the rotational temperature at low static pressure of the gas in the flow are noted. Profiles of the rotational temperature along the stagnation line in the case of transverse flow over a cylinder are obtained. The dependence of the measurement error on the temperature is discussed.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 2, pp. 139–143, March–April, 1971.  相似文献

Self-similar solutions are obtained for the problem of the motion of a heated gas through a porous medium with allowance for heat transfer between the gas and the solid phase in accordance with Newton's law. It is shown that there exist flow regimes in which the gas temperature increases with distance in the direction of motion.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 71–77, July–August, 1987.  相似文献

The nonisothermal flow of gas through a narrow slit under the influence of small pressure and temperature differences is investigated. The flow field and the mass and heat fluxes are found. It is shown that the heat transfer between the gas and the diaphragm, caused by the pressure difference, leads to a thermal polarization effect. The Onsager reciprocity relation is checked.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 171–175, July–August, 1990.  相似文献

Two-dimensional steady rarefied-gas channel flow between two parallel walls, from an evaporating face to a perfectly absorbing plane end face, is studied. The vapor is considered to be a monatomic gas. The corresponding problem for the kinetic equation with collision integral in BGK form is formulated and solved numerically by two different finite-difference methods. Attention is focused on the calculation of the total gas flow rate through the channel cross-section. The structure of the gas channel flow as a function of the flow rarefaction, the channel length, and the ratio of the evaporation temperature to the wall temperature is studied.Moscow. A study is made of the influence of heat transfer on the dynamical characteristics of gas escaping from the cavity of an underground explosion. Numerical calculations are made for the plane and spherically symmetric cases. The dynamical characteristics (density, temperature, flow velocity) are compared for isothermal, isentropic, and adiabatic flow and flow with heat transfer.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 80–86, March–April, 1984.  相似文献

The problem of the steady-plane monatomic rarefied gas flow around a semiinfinite bar is considered (the plane stationary case of the problem about the bottom zone). The problem is solved numerically at the level of the Krook relaxation model [1, 2]. A depenence of the gas density, velocity, and temperature in the whole flow domain on the space coordinates is obtained for supersonic and subsonic gas streams flowing around a body by using calculations on an M-20 electronic calculator.Khar'kov. A study is made of simultaneous heat and mass transfer to a reacting particle of any shape in a translational (and shear) flow of a viscous heat conducting compressible gas for which the thermal conductivity and diffusion coefficient, and also the specific heat depend on the temperature. The first two terms of the asymptotic expansion with respect to the small Reynolds number are obtained for the mean Sherwood and Nusselt numbers. The case of a power-law temperature dependence of the gas viscosity is considered in detail.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 111–119, January–February, 1984.  相似文献

On the basis of model kinetic equations a solution is obtained by a numerical method for the flow of attenuated gas around a sphere. The effect of rotational degrees of freedom on the energy flux to the body is investigated. Values of the ratio between the energy flux Q and its free-molecular value Q* for monatomic and diatomic gases are compared; for the comparison, the dimensionless temperature of the body, the gas velocity at infinity, and the law of viscosity must be the same in the two cases. For sufficiently cold bodies (when the body temperature is below the equilibrium temperature for a diatomic gas) the difference between Q/Q* for monatomic and diatomic gases is insignificant. For a diatomic gas when the body temperature is close to equilibrium, the ratio Q/Q* is found to have a nonmonotonic dependence on the Knudsen force.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 119–124, September–October, 1977.  相似文献

The propagation of a flame in the turbulent flow of a burning mixture is analyzed theoretically. An equation is derived for the gas temperature and velocity probability distributions. The solutions of this equation are analyzed and the rate of flame propagation is determined.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 3–15, September–October, 1976.The author wishes to thank V. An analytic solution is given for the problem of convective heat- and mass-exchange of a sphere with transverse flow of matter along the surface for values of Peclet numbers smaller than one and for blowing velocity smaller than that of the incoming gas flow. The solution for velocity field obtained by the authors in a previously published publication is employed on flow past a sphere with blowing; the method of asymptotic expansions of Acrivos and Taylor is also used. Expressions to the second approximation are determined for temperature field and for the values of local and averaged Nusselt numbers. It is shown that blowing reduces the temperature gradient or the concentrations at the surface.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 4, pp. 89–94, July–August, 1972.  相似文献

A study is made of two-dimensional problems of thermal convection of a viscous incompressible gas in rectangular regions that have gas inlet and outlet channels in the presence of a temperature difference between the bottom and the top (the bottom is heated). In contrast to the well-studied case of natural convection, when no-slip conditions are specified on all boundaries of the region and motion in the region occurs only through the temperature difference [1–4], the heat transfer in the investigated flows is complicated by the additional influence of the forced convection of the gas due to the motion of gas through the inlet and outlet channels. Flows of such type simulate well the processes that take place in many heat transfer devices and in ventilated and air-conditioned industrial premises. Two formulations of the problem are considered. In the first, the gas flow through the inlet and outlet channels is assumed given, and the solution of the problem is determined by the dimensionless Prandtl, Grashof, and Reynolds numbers. In the second case, this flow rate is not given but determined during the solution of the problem. The motion in the region arises from the difference between the temperatures of the bottom and the top of the region, and the motion, in its turn, causes a flow of gas through the inlet and outlet channels. As in the case of natural convection, the solution of the problem in this case is determined by only two dimensionless numbers — the Grashof and Prandtl numbers. By numerical solution of the boundary-value problems for the equations of heat transfer a study is made of the influence of the characteristic dimensionless numbers on the hydrodynamic and temperature fields and the heat fluxes through the boundaries of the region. The solutions of the problems in the two formulations are compared for different positions of the outlet channels.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 126–131, September–October, 1979.We thank G. The supersonic flow of a monatomic gas consisting of hard spherical particles past a flat strip normal to the flow is investigated using the direct simulation Monte-Carlo (DSMC) method. The calculations are performed over the Knudsen and Mach number ranges 0.015–5 and 1.8–15, respectively. The structure of the compressed layer and the aerodynamic characteristics are systematically studied for the Mach number 5 and various Knudsen numbers. The dependences of the compressed-layer thickness in molecular free paths are found. The nonequilibrium processes in the neighborhood of the strip are described on the basis of the data on the temperature anisotropy with respect to three coordinates.__________Translated from Izvestiya Rossiiskoi Academii Nauk, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, 2005, pp. 159–167. A calculation model was developed, and the heat– and mass–transfer characteristics in a laminar air—vapor—droplet flow moving in a round tube were studied numerically. The distributions of parameters of the two–phase flow over the tube radius were obtained for varied initial concentrations of the gas phase. The calculated heat and mass transfer is compared to experimental data and calculations of other authors. It is shown that evaporation of droplets in a vapor—gas flow leads to a more intense heat release as compared to a one–species vapor—droplet flow and one–phase vapor flow  相似文献

There have been many studies of viscous compressible gas flow in wakes and behind steps [1–6] in which attention has been focused on the steady-state flow regime. The problem of the supersonic flow of a viscous compressible heat-conducting gas past a plain backward-facing step is considered. The problem is solved numerically within the framework of the complete system of Navier-Stokes equations. The passage of the solution from the initial data to the steady-state regime and the effect of the gas dynamic parameters of the external flow on the characteristic flow stabilization time are investigated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 137–140, July–August, 1989.  相似文献

The transport processes in a fixed-bed catalytic reactor are investigated numerically with allowance for the interaction of the thermal and hydrodynamic effects. The problem is solved in the two-dimensional formulation over the entire interval of laminar viscous gas flow. The effect of voidage nonuniformities near the wall on the aerodynamic, temperature and concentration patterns is studied. The possible coexistence of different heterogeneous catalysis regimes over the cross section of the apparatus, depending on the gas dynamic and thermophysical parameters, is demonstrated.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 2, pp. 116–123, March–April, 1991.  相似文献

The boundary conditions for the velocity slip and temperature and concentration jumps on the surface of a body in a rarefied multicomponent gas flow are obtained. The mathematical treatment is given in detail because of the need to examine critically some previous results which disagree with each other in spite of the fact that the initial premises and the methods of solution were the same. The results of this study, which are given in a convenient form, represent the boundary conditions for both the simplified and the complete Navier-Stokes equations in problems of hypersonic rarefied gas flow past bodies with a catalytically active surface.Moscow. The results presented in [1] refer primarily to dropping liquids for which the influence exerted by the thermal conditions on the flow is related to the temperature dependence of the viscosity. The self-similar flow of a viscous gas in a channel with a linearly increasing wall temperature is examined in this paper. The influence exerted by the Reynolds and Prandtl numbers on heat exchange and the hydrodynamics of the flow is analyzed.Translated from Zhurnal Prikladnoi Mekhaniki i Tekhnicheskoi Fiziki, No. 3, pp. 47–54, May–June, 1976.The author wishes to thank A. Problems similar to those considered in [1, 2] are studied, namely, slow flow over a uniformly heated (or cooled) spherical particle and flow past a weakly nonuniformly heated sphere in the absence of external body forces and with allowance for thermal stresses in the gas. The use of an improved method of numerical solution [3] has made it possible to advance into the region of large temperature differences. A new effect is found: allowance for the thermal stresses in the case of flow around a strongly heated sphere leads to the appearance of a suction force instead of a drag. In the case of flow around a nonuniformly heated sphere the influence of thermal stresses is unimportant. The problems are considered for two temperature dependences of the transport coefficients.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 170–175, October–December, 1981.  相似文献
