In the present article we give the results of measurements of the density jump in a shock wave propagating in water containing air or helium bubbles. We show that the thermal relaxation at the shock front depends on the properties of the gaseous component and the wave intensity. Breakup of the bubbles promotes more rapid temperature equalization between the components of the mixture.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 146–149, July–August, 1976.The authors are grateful to L. Vapor (gas) bubbles executing free radial oscillations in a liquid are considered. Expressions are obtained for the frequency and decay rate of small free oscillations of the bubbles. The problem of the mass, thermal and dynamic interaction between a bubble containing a soluble gas and a liquid is considered. It is shown that this problem can be reduced to the problem of the behavior of a vapor bubble with phase transitions investigated in detail in [1–3]. Expressions are obtained for the rate of decay of the radially symmetric oscillations of the bubbles due to the solubility of the gas in the liquid. The effective coefficients of mass transfer between the radially pulsating bubbles and the liquid are determined. A numerical solution is obtained for the problem of the radial motion of a bubble created by a sudden change of pressure in the liquid which, in particular, corresponds to the behavior of the bubbles behind the shock front when a shock wave enters a bubble screen.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 52–59, November–December, 1985.  相似文献

The hydrodynamics and diffusion of an admixture near an isolated bubble, which simulates the rise of either a chain of identical bubbles or a system of regularly arranged bubbles of the same volume, are analyzed by solving the Navier-Stokes equations numerically. Data are presented for a specific liquid. It is shown that in both cases the maximum flow velocity on the surface of identical bubbles is practically the same, although in the former case the ascent velocity is considerably higher. The stationary admixture diffusion from a bubble also proves to be nearly the same.In relation to the bubbling of a gas through a liquid layer, it is shown that the total admixture diffusion is maximum for regularly arranged bubbles whose diameter is comparable with the liquids capillary constant. Although the flow past the bubble remains continuous, the values of the hydrodynamic parameters are no longer small.Novosibirsk. The nonlinear problem of thermal, mass, and dynamic interaction between a vapor-gas bubble and a liquid is considered. The results of numerical solution of the problem of radial motion of the bubble caused by a sudden pressure change in the liquid, illustrating the behavior of vapor-gas bubbles in compression and rarefaction waves, are presented. The corresponding problem for single-component gas and vapor bubbles was considered in [1, 2].Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 6, pp. 56–61, November–December. 1976.  相似文献

Evolution and decay of pressure waves of moderate amplitude in a vertical shock tube filled by a gas–liquid medium with a nonuniform (stepwise) distribution of bubbles over the tube cross section are studied experimentally. The gas–liquid layer has the form of a ring located near the tube wall or the form of a gas–liquid column located in the center of the tube. It is shown that the nonuniformity of bubble distribution over the tube cross section increases the attenuation rate of pressure waves.  相似文献

A study is made of the intensity of a hydroshock in a two-phase gas-liquid mixture in a slug flow regime in the case when a pipeline is shut off by a liquid slug. The intensity is studied as a function of the length of the shut-off section of the liquid slug, the content of gas bubbles in the liquid slugs, and the pipeline shut-off law, and with allowance for the shock-wave character of the process [1, 2]. The calculated data using the shock-wave theory agree well with the experimental data of [3] and, unlike the results of the linear theory of [3], make it possible to determine the intensity of the hydroshock not only in the case of weak waves, but also in the case of waves of moderate intensity.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 188–190, September–October, 1985.  相似文献

The problem of initiating cavitation bubbles in a cold liquid jet by injecting hot steam into high-pressure zone specially organized at the nozzle outlet is considered. Previously, in [1], a plane flowfield in which vapor bubbles were formed at the cusp of the cavity (high-pressure zone) and propagated together with the liquid along the axis of symmetry was considered. In certain cases, in the bubble expansion process the vapor temperature drops below the saturation temperature. In the present paper, vapor condensation in the bubble volume (homogeneous condensation) is also taken into account.Moscow. The article discusses a new type of instability of a horizontal layer of a motionless liquid, due to the motion of bubbles of gas or of particles of a suspension through the layer. It is shown that, when a certain critical mass flow rate of the gas or the suspension is attained, due to the essential inhomogeneity of the velocity of the gas bubbles, the layer becomes unstable and convective flow develops in a Bénard cell. With the motion of bubbles in the field of gravity, the criterion of instability is found to be independent of the size of the bubbles and the kinematic viscosity of the liquid.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, July–August, 1974.  相似文献

Hydrodynamic flows generated by mechanical vibrations of a capillary filled with immiscible liquids are investigated. Air bubbles are contained at the hermetically sealed ends of the capillary. Equations for the change in the volumes of the air bubbles as functions of time and velocity distribution in the liquids are obtained for the case when the radius of the capillary is much less than the lengths of the liquid columns. Results of numerical calculations are given for a capillary filled with two liquids: water and mercury. Amplitude-frequency dependences of the change in volumes of the air bubbles are constructed which have a resonance nature. Graphs of the dependence of the velocity of the water and the mercury on the radial coordinate at different times are given.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 13–18, September–October, 1987.  相似文献

A form of instability in a liquid containing bubbles of soluble gas caused by the unbalanced supply of energy to the two-phase medium as a result of the redissolving of the gas atoms in the liquid is investigated. The presence of a phase transition [6] due to the gas atoms being redissolved in the carrier medium leads to the appearance of essentially new effects in the viscous liquid: undamped sound waves, anomalies in the phase velocity of the sound and low-frequency instabilities. These effects are investigated on the basis of the equation of state of a two-phase medium (liquid with bubbles of soluble gas) obtained in [7], which takes into account the kinetics of mass and energy transfer between the phases.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 130–137, September–October, 1991.  相似文献

The transition flow is considered of a fibrous suspension in a pipe. The flow region consists of two subregions: at the center of the flow a plug formed by interwoven fibers and fluid moves as a rigid body; between the solid wall and the plug is a boundary layer in which the suspension is a mixture of the liquid phase and fibers separated from the plug [1–3]. In the boundary region the suspension is simulated as an anisotropic Ericksen—Leslie fluid [4, 5] which satisfies certain additional conditions. Equations are obtained for the velocity profile and drag coefficient of the pipe, which are both qualitatively and quantitatively in good agreement with the experimental results [6–8]. Within the framework of the model, a mechanism is found for reducing the drag in the flow of a fibrous suspension as compared to the drag of its liquid phase.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 5, pp. 91–98, September–October, 1985.  相似文献

A study is made of the radial motion of a vapor envelope surrounding an isolated spherical particle in an unbounded mass of liquid. It is assumed that the liquid is viscous and incompressible and that the temperature is distributed uniformly in the solid particle. A model of a calorifically perfect gas is used for the vapor phase. The same assumptions are made as in Rayleigh's formulation for the problem of the dynamics of a single bubble: that the process is spherically symmetric and that the pressure P2 (t) in the vapor phase is homogeneous. The justification for making these assumptions in problems of the dynamics of gas, vapor, and vaporgas bubbles is discussed in [1–5]. In this paper, the collapse of the vapor layer and the boiling of the liquid on the surface of the heated particle are not considered.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 4, pp. 154–157, July–August, 1985.  相似文献

Questions of the dynamics of bubbles in a liquid are connected with problems of cavitation [1]. In connection with cavitation phenomena in non-Newtonian media, in particular in polymeric liquids [2, 3], a study is made of the pulsations of a bubble in a polymeric liquid with an exponential rheological law. The equation of the motion of the boundary of the gas cavity is integrated numerically; here, the cases of pseudo-plastic and dilatant liquids are discussed separately. The results obtained can be used in the analysis of acoustical cavitation in aqueous solutions of polymers.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Mekhanika Zhidkosti i Gaza, No. 1, pp. 146–148, January–February, 1975.  相似文献

The propagation of one-dimensional perturbations in a viscoelastic relaxing liquid containing gas bubbles is investigated within the framework of the homogeneous model of the medium when the wavelength of the perturbation is much larger than the distance between the bubbles and the bubble radius. The evolution of stationary and nonstationary waves is investigated analytically and with the use of numerical integration; shock waves are also investigated. The results are compared with the behavior of perturbation waves in a Newtonian liquid with gaseous inclusions. The models of the gas-liquid medium [1, 2] are generalized to the case when the liquid phase is a viscoelastic liquid, for example, a weak aqueous solution of polymers. The propagation of longwave perturbations of finite amplitude in such a mixture is investigated using the technique developed in [3].  相似文献

In this paper, the influence of nozzle geometry on cavitation and near-nozzle spray behavior under liquid pressurized ambient is studied. For this purpose, eight steel drilled plates, with different diameters and degrees of conicity of their holes, are analyzed. A special near-nozzle field visualization technique, using a test rig pressurized with fuel, is used. Due to the difference in refractive index between liquid and vapor phase, bubbles present at the outlet of the orifice are visualized. The pressure conditions at which bubbles start appearing at the orifice outlet are compared with those at which choked flow appears. The results showed that pressure conditions for inception of cavitation obtained in the visualization tests differs from those seen for choked flow (5–8% in terms of cavitation number). In addition to this, the images taken are analyzed to get the angle of the jet formed by fuel bubbles, showing that it increases significantly for those conditions more prone to cavitate. Furthermore, comparison of bubbles generation when increasing or decreasing backpressure indicates the presence of hysteresis in cavitation inception phenomena.  相似文献
