Rates of particle-emitting decay of the resonant state of the muonic molecular ion (dHe) J=1 lying below the (d)1s-He threshold can decay to the d-He scattering state. The resonant state is estimated by scattering calculations with the non-adiabatic coupled-rearrangement-channel method. Strong isotope dependence of the decay rates of (d3He) J=1 and (d4He) J=1 is predicted, though the calculated radiative decay rates of the states are almost the same. In (d3He) J=1, the particle decay width is three times larger than the radiative decay width, while the two types of decay widths are almost the same in (d4He) J=1. This results in a strong hindrance of the branching ratio of the radiative decay of (d3He) J=1 compared with the case of (d4He) J=1. This is consistent with a recent observation of the radiative decay of the two molecular states.  相似文献

Respectively, 41 and 36 new cw far-infrared lasing lines have been observed using a waveguide resonator in CH3OD and CD3OD pumped by a low-pressure CO2 laser emitting in the 9.4, 10.4 m regular bands and in the 10.8 m hot band. The wavelength range was 46.6 m–1.67 mm in CH3OD and 53.6 m–1 mm in CD3OD.  相似文献

Refractive-index and optical-absorption spectra of Bi-substituted yttrium iron garnet films, epitaxially grown by liquid-phase epitaxy, have been measured in the spectral regime 0.26 m1.9 m by thin-film interference for 0.52 m and by ellipsometry for0.52 m. The Y3–x–y Bi x Pb y Fe5–z Pt z O12 films contain bismuth in the range Ox 1.42, lead in the range 0.01 y0.08 and platinum in the range 0.005<=z0.03. There is satisfactory coincidence between the results from ellipsometry and thin-film interference in the overlapping wavelength region. The materials investigated are the same as reported earlier from this laboratory in ter mof their magnetic and magnetooptic properties.  相似文献

By using the [General Relativity + additional matter fields] formulation (which depends on a redefined metrich ) of metric theories of gravitation, the study of singularities characterized by incomplete nonspacelike geodesics is simplified, but may be used only if (at least) the non-spacelike geodesics of the original metricg are conserved under the transformation betweeng and the new metrich . In order that every class of geodesies of a diagonal Bianchi I metric correspond to the same class of geodesies of a diagonal metrich , it is necessary that the transformation between these two metrics be a constant (positive) conformal transformation. We analyse the implications of the previous results for the singularitiesg when the latter is a solution of theories with a quadratic or polynomial Lagrangian.  相似文献

A microwave-SR (WSR) spectrometer has been developed which operates in the frequency region of 1–2 GHz. The spectrometer geometry is that of longitudinal field (LF)SR and is typically used in time integral measurements. The high frequency of this instrument distinguishes it from the currently used RFSR spectrometers and allows high field measurements to be made for normal Mu type systems. This allows one to avoid low field broadening mechanisms that may be present, either from electronic spin-lattice relaxation or nuclear hyperfine interactions.Technical details of the tunable microwave cavity and the RF coupling scheme are presented. Experimental spectra of Mu lines in SiO2 and GaAs are displayed.  相似文献

We study a simple dynamical system which displays a so-called type-I intermittency bifurcation. We determine the Bowen-Ruelle measure and prove that the expectation (g) of any continuous functiong and the Kolmogoroff-Sinai entropyh() are continuous functions of the bifurcation parameter. Therefore the transition is continuous from a measure-theoretical point of view. Those results could be generalized to any similar dynamical system.  相似文献

A key process in muon catalysed fusion is the deexcitation of the dt within the resonant muonic quasi-molecule [(dt)dee], by emission of an Auger electron. The dt in the quasi-molecule is initially in a weakly bound excited state withJ=1 andv=1. In this paper, calculations taking full account of the molecular nature of the quasi-molecule are carried out of the rate of the dominant deexcitation to the state withJ=0 andv=1.  相似文献

Conventional +SR studies are classified according to their relation with Solid State Physics, and an attempt is made to identify current trends in the field of +SR in solids. Desirable trends and development in +SR techniques are also discussed shortly. Rather than risk attempts at predicting the future [1] of +SR in solids, it is perhaps prudent merely to identify trends in the field and let individual readers to extrapolate. The optically pumped FIR laser lines at 119 m from CH3OH and at 127 m from13CD3OH are known to be the most powerful in the far infrared spectral region. We report on efficiency measurements for our waveguide laser system. The effect of various parameters was investigated, resulting in the highest efficiency ever reported for the 119 m line. The Stark effect and others parameters of the 127 m were measured, and a new13CD3OH laser line at 175 m discovered, with the same pump transition. These measurements are helpful for completing the assignment already proposed for the 127 m line.  相似文献

In this paper, we paraquantize the spinning string theory in the Neveu-Shwarz model. Unlike the Ardalan and Mansouri work [Phys. Rev. D, Vol. 9, (1974) 3341], the paraquantum system is such that both the center of mass variables and the excitation modes of the string verify paracommutation relations. The commutators of the Poincaré algebra are satisfied, except the [p ,p ] one, since one can only write [p ,p ]= 0, for Q1. Because of the relation [x ,x ] =,0 and with the sole use of the trilinear relations, we find existence possibilities of spinning strings defined in a noncommutative space-time at space-time dimensions other than D=10.  相似文献

Positive-muon spin rotation ( + SR) measurements have been carried out in the new heavy-fermion superconductors UM2Al3, M=Ni and Pd. In UNi2Al3 the observed + frequencies in zero applied field indicate commensurate antiferromagnetic (AF) ordering of U moments 0.1 B /U atom. These moments coexist with superconductivity and have the highest values observed in an AF heavy-fermion superconductor. The absence of well-defined frequencies in zero-field + SR in the AF state of UPd2Al3 suggests symmetric + stopping sites. In this system + SR linewidths belowT c yield a preliminary value of 8000 Å for the London penetration depth.  相似文献

The absorption of laser light in 0.25–1 mm diameter gold cavities, irradiated for the purpose of generating high-temperature blackbody radiation with intense laser radiation of either =0.44 m or =1.3 m wavelength, was investigated. For =0.44 m radiation the absorption exceeded 0.9 for all conditions, but dropped to only 0.3 for the smallest cavities irradiated at =1.3 m. Entrance hole and cavity filling with plasma seems important for the understanding of the observations.  相似文献

We present photorefractive measurements at 1.06 m and 1.3 m performed in electron-irradiated GaAs. Irradiation with electrons of kinetic energies 1 MeV introduces intrinsic electrically active defects which modify the Fermi-level position and allow to modify the electron-hole competition mechanism of the photorefractive effect. Furthermore, it is shown that the optical absorption in the 1.3–1.5 m spectral range can be increased, which might allow to enlarge the useful spectral range of GaAs towards optical telecommunication windows. The native and irradiation-induced defects are assessed by electron paramagnetic resonance and optical absorption spectroscopy conducted at T=300 K and 77 K. The direct influence of an irradiation-induced mid-gap defect on the photorefractive effect is experimentally and theoretically demonstrated.  相似文献

The sticking process dt + n, which constitutes the most severe limit to the number of fusions which a muon can catalyze, is reviewed. Many attempts were made to determine by calculations and measurements the probability for initial sticking s 0 (immediately after dt fusion) and for final sticking s (after the came to rest). Previous results based on neutron disappearance rates and on the observation of -X-rays were controversial and also in some disagreement with theory. New data are reported from PSI on direct observation of final sticking, using a setup with the St. Petersburg ionization chamber. These data mark a significant improvement in reliability and may clarify questions concerning previous discrepancies. The new results is s(0.56±0.04)%, lower than the theory prediction s=(0.65±0.03)%, at medium density.  相似文献
