Effects of plasma nonextensivity on the nonlinear cnoidal ion‐acoustic wave in unmagnetized electron‐positron‐ion plasma have been investigated theoretically. Plasma positrons are taken to be Maxwellian, while the nonextensivity distribution function was used to describe the plasma electrons. The known reductive perturbation method was employed to extract the KdV equation from the basic equations of the model. Sagdeev potential, as well as the cnoidal wave solution of the KdV equation, has been discussed in detail. We have shown that the ion‐acoustic periodic (cnoidal) wave is formed only for values of the strength of nonextensivity (q). The q allowable range is shifted by changing the positron concentration (p) and the temperature ratio of electron to positron (σ). For all of the acceptable values of q, the cnoidal ion‐acoustic wave is compressive. Results show that ion‐acoustic wave is strongly influenced by the electron nonextensivity, the positron concentration, and the temperature ratio of electron to positron. In this work, we have investigated the effects of q, p, and σ on the characteristics of the ion‐acoustic periodic (cnoidal) wave, such as the amplitude, wavelength, and frequency.  相似文献

This paper considers ion‐acoustic waves in a plasma in which the ions move unidirectionally. The dispersion equation is considered and analysed as a two‐dimensional problem. It is shown that the ion‐acoustic waves can be in the form of backward waves (BWs ). The area boundaries in the plane {k x , k y } where the BW exists are found.  相似文献

In this paper, nonlocal residual symmetry of a generalized (2+1)-dimensional Korteweg–de Vries equation is derived with the aid of truncated Painlevé expansion. Three kinds of non-auto and auto Bäcklund transformations are established. The nonlocal symmetry is localized to a Lie point symmetry of a prolonged system by introducing auxiliary dependent variables. The linear superposed multiple residual symmetries are presented, which give rise to the nth Bäcklund transformation. The consistent Riccati expansion method is employed to derive a Bäcklund transformation. Furthermore, the soliton solutions, fusion-type N-solitary wave solutions and soliton–cnoidal wave solutions are gained through Bäcklund transformations.  相似文献

The nonlinear features of dust acoustic waves (DAWs) propagating in a multicomponent dusty plasma with negative dust grains, Maxwellian ions, and double spectral electron distribution (DSED) are investigated. A Korteweg de Vries Burgers equation (KdVB) is derived in the presence of the polarization force using the reductive perturbation technique (RPT). In the absence of the dissipation effect, the bifurcation analysis is introduced and various types of solutions are obtained. One of these solutions is the rarefactive solitary wave solution. Additionally, in the presence of the dissipation effects, the tanh method is employed to find out the solution of KdVB equation. Both of the monotonic and the oscillatory shock structures are numerically investigated. It is found that the correlation between dissipation and dispersion terms participates strongly in creating the dust acoustic shock wave. The limit of the DSED to the Maxwell distribution is examined. The distortional effects in the profile of the shock wave that result by increasing the values of the flatness parameter, r, and the tail parameter, q, are investigated. In addition, it has been shown that the proportional increase in the value of the polarization parameter R enhances in both of the strength of the monotonic shock wave and the amplitude of the oscillatory shock wave. The effectiveness of non-Maxwellian distributions, like DSED, in several of plasma situations is discussed as well.  相似文献

The nonlinear dust‐ion‐acoustic (DIA) solitary structures have been studied in a dusty plasma, including the Cairns‐Gurevich distribution for electrons, both negative and positive ions, and immobile opposite polarity dust grains. The external magnetic field directed along the z‐axis is considered. By using the standard reductive perturbation technique and the hydrodynamics model for the ion fluid, the modified Zakharov–Kuznetsov equation was derived for small but finite amplitude waves and was provided the solitary wave solution for the parameters relevant. Using the appropriate independent variable, we could find the modified Korteweg–de Vries equation. By plotting some figures, we have discussed and emphasized how the different plasma values, such as the trapping parameter, the positive (or negative) dust number density, the non‐thermal electron parameter, and the ion cyclotron frequency, can influence the solitary wave structures. In addition, using the bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems, we have extracted the centre and saddle points and illustrated the phase portrait of such a system for some particular plasma parameters. Finally, we have graphically investigated the behaviour of the solitary energy wave by changing the plasma values as well as by calculating the instability criterion; we have also discussed the growth rate of the solitary waves. The results could be useful for studying the physical mechanism of nonlinear propagation of DIA solitary waves in laboratory and space plasmas where non‐thermal electrons, pair‐ions, and dust particles can exist.  相似文献

We reduce the variable-coefficient higher-order nonlinear Schrdinger equation (VCHNLSE) into the constantcoefficient (CC) one. Based on the reduction transformation and solutions of CCHNLSE, we obtain analytical soliton solutions embedded in the continuous wave background for the VCHNLSE. Then the excitation in advancement and sustainment of soliton arrays, and postponed disappearance and sustainment of the bright soliton embedded in the background are discussed in an exponential system.  相似文献

The higher‐order (H‐O) phase shift of dust ion‐acoustic solitons (DIASs) in a weakly relativistic plasma is examined considering the influence of both superthermality‐distributed electrons and positrons. Employing the extended Poincaré–Lighthill–Kuo method (EPLKM), the Korteweg–de Vries equations (KdVEs) and the deviation in trajectories of DIASs (i.e., phase shifts) are obtained after the collision. For obtaining H‐O phase shifts of DIASs, the fifth‐order dispersion terms are added into KdVEs. The effects of the relativistic factor for a weakly relativistic regime and the superthermality of both electrons and positrons on the H‐O phase shifts are discussed. Numerical analysis gives rise to important highlights on the excitation and the collision of DIASs in astrophysical situations such as a pulsar magnetosphere.  相似文献

A new Baecklund transformation for (2 1)-dimensional KdV equation is first obtained by using homogeneous balance method. And making use of the Baecklund transformation and choosing a special seed solution, we get special types of solitary wave solutions. Finally a general variable separation solution containing two arbitrary functions is constructed, from which abundant localized coherent structures of the equation in question can be induced.  相似文献

This paper addresses the extended (G′/G)-expansion method and applies it to a couple of nonlinear wave equations. These equations are modified the Benjamin-Bona-Mahoney equation and the Boussinesq equation. This extended method reveals several solutions to these equations. Additionally, the singular soliton solutions are revealed, for these two equations, with the aid of the ansatz method.  相似文献

A new generalized transformation method is presented to find more exact solutions of nonlinear partial differential equation. As an application of the method, we choose the (3+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation to illustrate the method. As a result many types of explicit and exact traveling wave solutions, which contain solitary wave solutions, trigonometric function solutions, Jacobian elliptic function solutions, and rational solutions, are obtained. The new method can be extended to other nonlinear partial differential equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

The effect of the generalized (r, q) distribution on the non‐linear propagation of dust acoustic waves (DAWs) in a dusty plasma consisting of variable‐size dust grains is discussed. A Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation is derived using the reductive perturbation technique (RPT). The dust size obeys the power‐law dust size distribution (DSD). The present results reveal that rarefactive and compressive waves can propagate in the proposed plasma model. It is found that the spectral indices r and q influence the main properties of DAWs. Especially, the velocity, amplitude, and width of the DAW change drastically with r compared to changes in q.  相似文献

In this paper, the truncated Painlev′e analysis and the consistent tanh expansion(CTE) method are developed for the(2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equation. As a result, the soliton-cnoidal wave interaction solution of the equation is explicitly given, which is difficult to be found by other traditional methods. When the value of the Jacobi elliptic function modulus m = 1, the soliton-cnoidal wave interaction solution reduces back to the two-soliton solution. The method can also be extended to other types of nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.  相似文献

In fiber lasers, the study of the cubic‐quintic complex Ginzburg‐Landau equations (CGLE) has attracted much attention. In this paper, four families (kink solitons, gray solitons, Y‐type solitons and combined solitons) of exact soliton solutions for the variable‐coefficient cubic‐quintic CGLE are obtained via the modified Hirota method. Appropriate parameters are chosen to investigate the properties of solitons. The influences of nonlinearity and spectral filtering effect are discussed in these obtained exact soliton solutions, respectively. Methods to amplify the amplitude and compress the width of solitons are put forward. Numerical simulation with split‐step Fourier method and fourth‐order Runge‐Kutta algorithm are carried out to validate some of the analytic results. Transformation from the variable‐coefficient cubic‐quintic CGLE to the constant coefficients one is proposed. The results obtained may have certain applications in soliton control in fiber lasers, and may have guiding value in experiments in the future.

Multidimensional instability of dust‐acoustic solitary wave (DASW) in magnetized dusty plasma with superthermal electrons and ions and micron size hot dust particles is investigated. The Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation, describing the small but finite amplitude DASW, was derived using the reductive perturbation method and its solitary answers was introduced. Effects of electrons and ions superthermality as well as the external magnetic field on the nature of DASW are discussed in detail. Dispersion relation, threshold condition, and growth rate of multidimensional instability of DASW were derived using small‐k (long wavelength plane wave) perturbation expansion method. We found that the direction and strength of external magnetic field extremely affect the growth rate and instability criterion. Results show that growth rate of instability decreases with increasing the number of superthermal electrons and increases with increasing the number of superthermal ions. Here, we study a low (less than 0.1 µg/ml) concentration aqueous suspension of single‐wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by Raman‐induced Kerr effect spectroscopy (RIKES) in the spectral bands 0.1–10 and 100–250 cm−1. This method is capable of carrying out direct investigation of SWNT hydration layers. A comparison of RIKES spectra of SWNT aqueous suspension and that of milli‐Q water shows a considerable growth in the intensity of low wavenumber Raman modes. These modes in the 0.1–10 cm−1 range are attributed to the rotational transitions of H2O2 and H2O molecules. We explain the observed intensity increase as due to the production of hydrogen peroxide and the formation of a low‐density depletion layer on the water–nanotube interface. A few SWNT radial breathing modes (RBM)are observed (ωRBM = 118.5, 164.7 and 233.5 cm−1) in aqueous suspension, which allows us to estimate the SWNT diameters (∼2.0, 1.5, and 1 nm, respectively). For calcite (CaCO3), one of the pioneer crystals in nonlinear optics, new results of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) spectroscopy are presented. Among them are the discovery of a new SRS‐promoting vibration mode with ωSRS2 ≈︁ 282 cm‐1 and its participation, together with the main SRS mode ωSRS1 ≈︁ 1086.5 cm‐1, in cross‐cascaded (χ(3) ↔ χ(3)) nonlinear‐lasing generation, as well as the observation of efficient self‐upconversion via cascaded parametric four‐wave processes of one‐micron Stokes and anti‐Stokes χ(3)‐lasing into the UV‐region of third harmonic generation. The investigations show that calcite is able to generate a χ(3)‐lasing comb of more than two octaves bandwidth. The article also gives a brief review on the discovery and study of the SRS‐effect in natural crystals (minerals), which have expanded our ability to study the photon‐phonon nonlinear‐laser interactions in crystalline materials. A short summary of information about χ(3)‐lasing properties of the triangular planar structure units in SRS‐active crystals is included.  相似文献

Nonlinear spin excitations in ferromagnetic spin chains are studied for spintronic and magnetic devices including magnetic‐field sensors and for high‐density data storage. Here, (2+1)‐dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation is investigated, which describes the nonlinear spin dynamics for a Heisenberg ferromagnetic spin chain. Lie point symmetry generators and Lie symmetry groups of that equation are derived. Lie symmetry groups are related to the time, space, scale, rotation transformations, and Galilean boosts of that equation. Certain solutions, which are associated with the known solutions, are constructed. Based on the Lie symmetry generators, the reduced systems of such an equation are obtained. Based on the polynomial expansion and through one of the reduced systems, group‐invariant solutions are constructed. Soliton‐type group‐invariant solutions are graphically investigated and effects of the magnetic coupling coefficients, that is, α1, α2, α3, and α4, on the soliton's amplitude, width, and velocity are discussed. It is seen that α1, α2, α3, and α4 have no influence on the soliton's amplitude, but can affect the soliton's velocity and width. Lax pair and conservation laws of such an equation are derived.  相似文献

Synthetic routes have been developed to a number of (thio) squaraine dyes containing the residues of CH‐acids at the central cyclobutene ring. The electronic and spatial structure as well as the chemical conversions and optical behaviour of the compounds obtained have been studied both theoretically and by X‐ray diffraction analysis, 1H NMR and electronic spectroscopy. As shown, the electronic nature and sterical characteristics of the central ring substituents give rise to some general conformational features and crystal packing regularities and also govern the spectral position of the first π–π* absorption band. The structure–property relationships established in the study provide guidance for the purposeful design of deeply coloured (thio) squaraines. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
