In this paper, an effective numerical approach based on a new two‐dimensional hybrid of parabolic and block‐pulse functions (2D‐PBPFs) is presented for solving nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations of fractional order. Our approach is based on 2D‐PBPFs operational matrix method together with the fractional integral operator, described in the Riemann–Liouville sense. The main characteristic behind this approach is to reduce such problems to those of solving systems of algebraic equations, which greatly simplifies the problem. By using Newton's iterative method, this system is solved, and the solution of fractional nonlinear partial quadratic integro‐differential equations is achieved. Convergence analysis and an error estimate associated with the proposed method is obtained, and it is proved that the numerical convergence order of the suggested numerical method is O(h3) . The validity and applicability of the method are demonstrated by solving three numerical examples. Numerical examples are presented in the form of tables and graphs to make comparisons with the exact solutions much easier.  相似文献

In this article, a novel numerical method is proposed for nonlinear partial differential equations with space- and time-fractional derivatives. This method is based on the two-dimensional differential transform method (DTM) and generalized Taylor's formula. The fractional derivatives are considered in the Caputo sense. Several illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the present method. Results obtained using the scheme presented here agree well with the analytical solutions and the numerical results presented elsewhere. Results also show that the numerical scheme is very effective and convenient for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

This paper presents approximate analytical solutions for systems of fractional differential equations using the differential transform method. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The application of differential transform method, developed for differential equations of integer order, is extended to derive approximate analytical solutions of systems of fractional differential equations. The solutions of our model equations are calculated in the form of convergent series with easily computable components. Some examples are solved as illustrations, using symbolic computation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to systems of fractional differential equations. The method introduces a promising tool for solving many linear and nonlinear fractional differential equations.  相似文献

In this article, a new numerical approach has been proposed for solving a class of delay time-fractional partial differential equations. The approximate solutions of these equations are considered as linear combinations of Müntz–Legendre polynomials with unknown coefficients. Operational matrix of fractional differentiation is provided to accelerate computations of the proposed method. Using Padé approximation and two-sided Laplace transformations, the mentioned delay fractional partial differential equations will be transformed to a sequence of fractional partial differential equations without delay. The localization process is based on the space-time collocation in some appropriate points to reduce the fractional partial differential equations into the associated system of algebraic equations which can be solved by some robust iterative solvers. Some numerical examples are also given to confirm the accuracy of the presented numerical scheme. Our results approved decisive preference of the Müntz–Legendre polynomials with respect to the Legendre polynomials.  相似文献

In this paper, a new numerical method for solving fractional differential equations is presented. The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. The method is based upon Bernoulli wavelet approximations. The Bernoulli wavelet is first presented. An operational matrix of fractional order integration is derived and is utilized to reduce the initial and boundary value problems to system of algebraic equations. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique.  相似文献

This paper presents a new computational technique for solving fractional pantograph differential equations. The fractional derivative is described in the Caputo sense. The main idea is to use Müntz-Legendre wavelet and its operational matrix of fractional-order integration. First, the Müntz-Legendre wavelet is presented. Then a family of piecewise functions is proposed, based on which the fractional order integration of the Müntz-Legendre wavelets are easy to calculate. The proposed approach is used this operational matrix with the collocation points to reduce the under study problem to a system of algebraic equations. An estimation of the error is given in the sense of Sobolev norms. The efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method are illustrated by several numerical examples.  相似文献

In this article, numerical study for both nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger equation and the coupled nonlinear space‐fractional Schrödinger system is presented. We offer here the weighted average nonstandard finite difference method (WANSFDM) as a novel numerical technique to study such kinds of partial differential equations. The space fractional derivative is described in the sense of the quantum Riesz‐Feller definition. Stability analysis of the proposed method is studied. To show that this method is reliable and computationally efficient different numerical examples are provided. We expect that the proposed schemes can be applicable to different systems of fractional partial differential equations. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new shifted Chebyshev operational matrix (SCOM) of fractional integration of arbitrary order is introduced and applied together with spectral tau method for solving linear fractional differential equations (FDEs). The fractional integration is described in the Riemann–Liouville sense. The numerical approach is based on the shifted Chebyshev tau method. The main characteristic behind the approach using this technique is that only a small number of shifted Chebyshev polynomials is needed to obtain a satisfactory result. Illustrative examples reveal that the present method is very effective and convenient for linear multi-term FDEs.  相似文献

This paper deals with the solutions of linear inhomogeneous time-fractional partial differential equations in applied mathematics and fluid mechanics. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The fractional Green function method is used to obtain solutions for time-fractional wave equation, linearized time-fractional Burgers equation, and linear time-fractional KdV equation. In this paper, the fractional derivatives in the sense of modified Riemann–Liouville derivative and the first integral method are employed for constructing the exact solutions of nonlinear time-fractional partial differential equations. The power of this manageable method is presented by applying it to several examples. This approach can also be applied to other nonlinear fractional differential equations.  相似文献

This paper presents numerical solutions for the space‐ and time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries equation (KdV for short) using the variational iteration method. The space‐ and time‐fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this method, general Lagrange multipliers are introduced to construct correction functionals for the problems. The multipliers in the functionals can be identified optimally via variational theory. The iteration method, which produces the solutions in terms of convergent series with easily computable components, requiring no linearization or small perturbation. The numerical results show that the approach is easy to implement and accurate when applied to space‐ and time‐fractional KdV equations. The aim of this paper is to present a new numerical method for solving a wide class of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) such as wave-diffusion equations, modified anomalous fractional sub-diffusion equations, time-fractional telegraph equations. The proposed method is based on the Fourier series expansion along the spatial coordinate which transforms the original equation into a sequence of multi-term fractional ordinary differential equations (ODEs). These fractional equations are solved by the use of a new efficient numerical technique – the backward substitution method. The numerical examples confirm the high accuracy and efficiency of the proposed numerical scheme in solving FPDEs with variable in time coefficients.  相似文献

In this letter, we implement a relatively new analytical technique, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), for solving linear partial differential equations of fractional order arising in fluid mechanics. The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo derivatives. This method can be used as an alternative to obtain analytic and approximate solutions of different types of fractional differential equations applied in engineering mathematics. The corresponding solutions of the integer order equations are found to follow as special cases of those of fractional order equations. Some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and reliability of HPM. He's HPM, which does not need small parameter is implemented for solving the differential equations. In this method, a homotopy is introduced to be constructed for the equation. The initial approximations can be freely chosen with possible unknown constants that can be determined by imposing the boundary and initial conditions. It is predicted that HPM can be found widely applicable in engineering. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 2010  相似文献

Fractional calculus has been used to model physical and engineering processes that are found to be best described by fractional differential equations. For that reason we need a reliable and efficient technique for the solution of fractional differential equations. Here we construct the operational matrix of fractional derivative of order α in the Caputo sense using the linear B-spline functions. The main characteristic behind the approach using this technique is that it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations thus we can solve directly the problem. The method is applied to solve two types of fractional differential equations, linear and nonlinear. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the new technique presented in the current paper.  相似文献

In this study, we present a numerical scheme for solving a class of fractional partial differential equations. First, we introduce psi -Laguerre polynomials like psi-shifted Chebyshev polynomials and employ these newly introduced polynomials for the solution of space-time fractional differential equations. In our approach, we project these polynomials to develop operational matrices of fractional integration. The use of these orthogonal polynomials converts the problem under consideration into a system of algebraic equations. The solution of this system provide us the desired results. The convergence of the proposed method is analyzed. Finally, some illustrative examples are included to observe the validity and applicability of the proposed method.  相似文献

In these schemes, the solution takes the form of a convergent series with easily computable components. In this paper, we propose a new numerical algorithm for solving linear and non linear fractional differential equations based on our newly constructed integer order and fractional order generalized hat functions operational matrices of integration. The linear and nonlinear fractional order differential equations are transformed into a system of algebraic equations by these matrices and these algebraic equations are solved through known computational methods. Further some numerical examples are given to illustrate and establish the accuracy and reliability of the proposed algorithm. The results obtained, using the scheme presented here, are in full agreement with the analytical solutions and numerical results presented elsewhere.  相似文献

In this article, the sub‐equation method is presented for finding the exact solutions of a nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. For this, the fractional complex transformation method has been used to convert fractional‐order partial differential equation to ordinary differential equation. The fractional derivatives are described in Jumarie's the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. We apply to this method for the nonlinear time fractional differential equations. With the aid of symbolic computation, a variety of exact solutions for them are obtained. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
