Nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) is now one of the prominent of modern physics, mathematics and chemistry. Over these fields, the NLSE is also applied in new emerging fields such as quantum information and econophysics. In this paper we investigate for new exact solutions of higher order nonlinear Schrodinger’s equation. This method allows to carry out the solution process of nonlinear wave equations more thoroughly and conveniently by computer algebra systems such as the Maple and Mathematica. In addition to providing a different way of solving the Schrodinger equation for such systems, the simplicity of the algorithm renders it a great pedagogical value.  相似文献

The theory of bifurcations for dynamical system is employed to construct new exact solutions of the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Firstly, the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation was converted into ordinary differential equation system by using traveling wave transform. Then, the system's Hamiltonian, orbits phases diagrams are found. Finally, six families of solutions are constructed by integrating along difference orbits, which consist of Jacobi elliptic function solutions, hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions, solitary wave solutions, breaking wave solutions, and kink wave solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, analytically investigated is a higher-order dispersive nonlinear Schrödinger equation. Based on the linear eigenvalue problem associated with this equation, the integrability is identified by admitting an infinite number of conservation laws. By using the Darboux transformation method, the explicit multi-soliton solutions are generated in a recursive manner. The propagation characteristic of solitons and their interactions under the periodic plane wave background are discussed. Finally, the modulational instability of solutions is analyzed in the presence of small perturbation.  相似文献

By the use of an auxiliary equation, we find bright and dark optical soliton and other soliton solutions for the higher-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) with fourth-order dispersion (FOD), cubic-quintic terms, self-steepening, and nonlinear dispersive terms. Moreover, we give the formation condition of the bright and dark solitons for this higher-order NLSE.  相似文献

A class of analytical solitary-wave solutions to the generalized nonautonomous cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrdinger equation with time- and space-modulated coefficients and potentials are constructed using the similarity transformation technique. Constraints for the dispersion coefficient, the cubic and quintic nonlinearities, the external potential, and the gain (loss) coefficient are presented at the same time. Various shapes of analytical solitary-wave solutions which have important applications of physical interest are studied in detail, such as the solutions in Feshbach resonance management with harmonic potentials, Faraday-type waves in the optical lattice potentials, and localized solutions supported by the Gaussian-shaped nonlinearity. The stability analysis of the solutions is discussed numerically.  相似文献

A broad class of exact self-similar solutions to the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation (NLSE) with distributed dispersion, nonlinearity, and gain or loss has been found. Appropriate solitary wave solutions applying to propagation in optical fibers and optical fiber amplifiers with these distributed parameters have also been studied. These solutions exist for physically realistic dispersion and nonlinearity profiles in a fiber with anomalous group velocity dispersion. They correspond either to compressing or spreading solitary pulses which maintain a linear chirp or to chirped oscillatory solutions. The stability of these solutions has been confirmed by numerical simulations of the NLSE.  相似文献

It is commonly recognized that, despite current analytical approaches, many physical aspects of nonlinear models remain unknown. It is critical to build more efficient integration methods to design and construct numerous other unknown solutions and physical attributes for the nonlinear models, as well as for the benefit of the largest audience feasible. To achieve this goal, we propose a new extended unified auxiliary equation technique, a brand-new analytical method for solving nonlinear partia...  相似文献

The complete discrimination system method is employed to find exact solutions for a dispersive cubic–quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with third order and fourth order time derivatives. As a result, we derive a range of solutions which include triangular function solutions, kink solitary wave solutions, dark solitary wave solutions, Jacobian elliptic function solutions, rational function solutions and implicit analytical solutions. Numerical simulations are presented to visualize the mechanism of Eq. (1) by selecting appropriate parameters of the solutions. The comparison between our results and other's works are also given.  相似文献

The propagation of the optical solitons is usually governed by the higher order nonlinear Schrödinger equations (NLSE). In optics, the NLSE modelizes light-wave propagation in an optical fiber. In this article, modified extended direct algebraic method with add of symbolic computation is employed to construct bright soliton, dark soliton, periodic solitary wave and elliptic function solutions of two higher order NLSEs such as the resonant NLSE and NLSE with the dual-power law nonlinearity. Realizing the properties of static and dynamic for these kinds of solutions are very important in various many aspects and have important applications. The obtaining results confirm that the current method is powerful and effectiveness which can be employed to other complex problems that arising in mathematical physics.  相似文献

The novel inelastic collision properties of two-soliton interaction for an n-component coupled higher order nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are studied. Some interesting features of three soliton interactions, related to the integrability of the n-component coupled higher order nonlinear Schr?dinger equation are also discussed. Exact solutions to the Schrödinger equation for potentials containing Coulomb (∼1/r) plus harmonic oscillator (∼r2) terms are found, subject to constraints on the ratio of the strengths of the Coulomb and harmonic oscillator terms. The solutions have the simple form of a product of exponential and polynomial functions.  相似文献

The nonlinear Schrödinger equation with periodic coefficients is analyzed under the condition of large variation in the local dispersion. The solution after n periods is represented as the sum of the solution to the linear part of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation and the nonlinear first-period correction multiplied by the number of periods n. An algorithm for calculating the quasilinear solution with arbitrary initial conditions is proposed. The nonlinear correction to the solution for a sequence of Gaussian pulses is obtained in the explicit form.  相似文献

Considering the ultrashort optical soliton propagation in the non-Kerr media, the cubic-quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with Raman effect is studied through the dependent variable transformation and Hirota method. Based on symbolic computation, the bilinear form, the explicit one- and two-soliton solutions for the equation are presented. The constraint parametric condition for the existence of soliton solutions is also derived. Propagation characteristics and interaction behaviors of the solitons are graphically shown and discussed: (1) Overtaking elastic interactions of the two solitons; (2) periodic attraction and repulsion of the bounded states of two solitons; (3) propagation in parallel of the two solitons.  相似文献

In this work, we study exact solutions of a generalized nonautonomous cubic–quintic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with higher-order terms, and the dispersion and the nonlinear coefficients engendering temporal dependency. Similarity transformations are used to convert the nonautonomous equation into autonomous one and then we present solutions in a general way. These solutions are obtained for the first class by using the F-expansion method and for the second class constituted by most general bright, dark and front by a direct substitution. We also generalize the external potential which traps the system and the nonlinearities. Finally, the stability of the soliton solutions under slight disturbance of the constraint conditions and initial perturbation of white noise is discussed analytically and numerically. The results reveal that solitons can propagate in a stable way under slight disturbance of the constraint conditions and initial perturbation of a 10% white noise.  相似文献

The present paper aims to investigate the chirped optical soliton solutions of the nonlinear Schr?dinger equation with nonlinear chromatic dispersion and quadratic-cubic law of refractive index. The exquisite balance between the chromatic dispersion and the nonlinearity associated with the refractive index of a fiber gives rise to optical solitons, which can travel down the fiber for intercontinental distances. The effective technique, namely, the new extended auxiliary equation method is implem...  相似文献

A method of dynamic rescaling of variables is used to investigate numerically the nature of the focusing singularities of the cubic and quintic Schrödinger equations in two and three dimensions and describe their universal properties. The same method is applied to simulate the multi-focusing phenomena produced by simple models of saturating nonlinearities.  相似文献
