The standard molar enthalpy of combustion of cholesterol was measured at constant volume. According to value of Δr U mθ(−14358.4±20.65 kJ mol−1), Δr H mθ(−14385.7 kJ mol−1) of combustion reaction and Δf H mθ(2812.9 kJ mol−1) of cholesterol were obtained from the reaction equation. The enthalpy of combustion reaction of cholesterol was also estimated by the average bond enthalpies. By design of a thermo-chemical recycle, the enthalpy of combustion of cholesterol were calculated between 283.15∼373.15 K. Besides, molar enthalpy and entropy of fusion of cholesterol was obtained by DSC technique.  相似文献

The standard enthalpy of combustion of crystalline silver pivalate, (CH3)3CC(O)OAg (AgPiv), was determined in an isoperibolic calorimeter with a self-sealing steel bomb, Δc H 0 (AgPiv, cr)= −2786.9±5.6 kJ mol−1. The value of standard enthalpy of formation was derived for crystalline state: Δf H 0(AgPiv,cr)= −466.9±5.6 kJ mol−1. Using the enthalpy of sublimation, measured earlier, the enthalpy of formation of gaseous dimer was obtained: Δf H 0(Ag2Piv2,g)= −787±14 kJ mol−1. The enthalpy of reaction (CH3)3CC(O)OAg(cr)=Ag(cr)+(CH3)3CC(O)O.(g) was estimated, Δr H 0=202 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

The heat capacities (C p,m) of 2-amino-5-methylpyridine (AMP) were measured by a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range from 80 to 398 K. A solid-liquid phase transition was found in the range from 336 to 351 K with the peak heat capacity at 350.426 K. The melting temperature (T m), the molar enthalpy (Δfus H m0), and the molar entropy (Δfus S m0) of fusion were determined to be 350.431±0.018 K, 18.108 kJ mol−1 and 51.676 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. The mole fraction purity of the sample used was determined to be 0.99734 through the Van’t Hoff equation. The thermodynamic functions (H T-H 298.15 and S T-S 298.15) were calculated. The molar energy of combustion and the standard molar enthalpy of combustion were determined, ΔU c(C6H8N2,cr)= −3500.15±1.51 kJ mol−1 and Δc H m0 (C6H8N2,cr)= −3502.64±1.51 kJ mol−1, by means of a precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=298.15 K. The standard molar enthalpy of formation of the crystalline compound was derived, Δr H m0 (C6H8N2,cr)= −1.74±0.57 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

A solid complex Eu(C5H8NS2)3(C12H8N2) has been obtained from reaction of hydrous europium chloride with ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) and 1,10-phenanthroline (o-phen⋅H2O) in absolute ethanol. IR spectrum of the complex indicated that Eu3+ in the complex coordinated with sulfur atoms from the APDC and nitrogen atoms from the o-phen. TG-DTG investigation provided the evidence that the title complex was decomposed into EuS. The enthalpy change of the reaction of formation of the complex in ethanol, Δr H m θ(l), as –22.214±0.081 kJ mol–1, and the molar heat capacity of the complex, c m, as 61.676±0.651 J mol–1 K–1, at 298.15 K were determined by an RD-496 III type microcalorimeter. The enthalpy change of the reaction of formation of the complex in solid, Δr H m θ(s), was calculated as 54.527±0.314 kJ mol–1 through a thermochemistry cycle. Based on the thermodynamics and kinetics on the reaction of formation of the complex in ethanol at different temperatures, fundamental parameters, including the activation enthalpy (ΔH θ), the activation entropy (ΔS θ), the activation free energy (ΔG θ), the apparent reaction rate constant (k), the apparent activation energy (E), the pre-exponential constant (A) and the reaction order (n), were obtained. The constant-volume combustion energy of the complex, Δc U, was determined as –16937.88±9.79 kJ mol–1 by an RBC-II type rotating-bomb calorimeter at 298.15 K. Its standard enthalpy of combustion, Δc H m θ, and standard enthalpy of formation, Δf H m θ, were calculated to be –16953.37±9.79 and –1708.23±10.69 kJ mol–1, respectively.  相似文献

The novel ternary solid complex Gd(C5H8NS2)3(C12H8N2) has been obtained from the reaction of hydrous gadolinium chloride, ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC), and 1,10-phenanthroline (o-phen · H2O) in absolute ethanol. The complex was described by an elemental analysis, TG-DTG, and an IR spectrum. The enthalpy change of the complex formation reaction from a solution of the reagents, Δr H m ϑ (sol), and the molar heat capacity of the complex, c m , were determined as being − 15.174 ± 0.053 kJ/mol and 72.377 ± 0.636 J/(mol K) at 298.15 K by using an RD496-III heat conduction microcalorimeter. The enthalpy change of a complex formation from the reaction of the reagents in a solid phase, Δr H m ϑ (s), was calculated as being 52.703 ± 0.304 kJ/mol on the basis of an appropriate thermochemical cycle and other auxiliary thermodynamic data. The thermodynamics of the formation reaction of the complex was investigated by the reaction in solution. Fundamental parameters, the activation enthalpy (ΔH ϑ ), the activation entropy (ΔS ϑ ), the activation free energy (ΔG ϑ ), the apparent reaction rate constant (k), the apparent activation energy (E), the preexponential constant (A), and the reaction order (n), were obtained by the combination of the thermochemical data of the reaction and kinetic equations, with the data of thermokinetic experiments. The constant-volume combustion energy of the complex, Δc U, was determined as being −17588.79 ± 8.62 kJ/mol by an RBC-II type rotatingbomb calorimeter at 298.15 K. Its standard enthalpy of combustion, Δc H m ϑ , and standard enthalpy of formation, Δf H m ϑ , were calculated to be −17604.28 ± 8.62 and −282.43 ± 9.58 kJ/mol, respectively. The molar heat capacities of an aqueous Li2B4O7 solution were measured with a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter in the temperature range from 80 to 356 K at a concentration of 0.3492 mol⋅kg−1. The occurrence of a phase transition was determined based on the changes in the curve of the heat capacity with temperature. A phase transition was observed at 271.72 K corresponding to the solid-liquid phase transition; the enthalpy and entropy of the phase transition were evaluated to be Δ H m = 4.110 kJ⋅mol−1 and Δ S m = 15.13 J⋅K−1⋅mol−1, respectively. Using polynomial equations and thermodynamic relationship, the thermodynamic functions [H T H 298.15] and [S T S 298.15] of the aqueous Li2B4O7 solution relative to 298.15 K were calculated in temperature range 80 to 355 K at intervals of 5 K. Values of the relative apparent molar heat capacities of the aqueous Li2B4O7 solution, C p, were calculated at every 5 K in temperature range from 80 to 355 K from the experimental heat capacities of the solution and the heat capacities of pure water.  相似文献

The mechanism of binding of the surfactant–cobalt(III) complex, cis-[Co(phen)2(C14H29NH2)Cl](ClO4)2⋅3H2O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, C14H29NH2 = tetradecylamine) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by UV–vis absorption, circular dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. The results of fluorescence titration revealed that the surfactant–cobalt(III) complex quenched the intrinsic fluorescence of BSA through a combination of static and dynamic quenching. The apparent binding constant (K a) and number of binding sites (n) were calculated below and above the critical micelle concentration (CMC). The thermodynamic parameters determined by the van’t Hoff analysis of the constants (ΔH =14.87 kJ⋅mol−1; ΔS =152.88 J⋅mol−1⋅K−1 below the CMC and 25.70 kJ⋅mol−1 and 243.14 J⋅mol−1⋅K−1, respectively, above the CMC) clearly indicate that the binding is entropy-driven and enthalpically disfavored. Based on F?rster’s theory of non-radiation energy transfer, the binding distance, r, between donor (BSA) and the acceptor (surfactant–cobalt(III) complex) was evaluated. UV–vis, CD and synchronous fluorescence spectral results showed that the binding of the surfactant–cobalt(III) complex to BSA induced conformational changes in BSA.  相似文献

A novel solid complex, formulated as Ho(PDC)3 (o-phen), has been obtained from the reaction of hydrate holmium chloride, ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate (APDC) and 1,10-phenanthroline (o-phen·H2O) in absolute ethanol, which was characterized by elemental analysis, TG-DTG and IR spectrum. The enthalpy change of the reaction of complex formation from a solution of the reagents, ΔrHmθ (sol), and the molar heat capacity of the complex, cm, were determined as being –19.161±0.051 kJ mol–1 and 79.264±1.218 J mol–1 K–1 at 298.15 K by using an RD-496 III heat conduction microcalorimeter. The enthalpy change of complex formation from the reaction of the reagents in the solid phase, ΔrHmθ(s), was calculated as being (23.981±0.339) kJ mol–1 on the basis of an appropriate thermochemical cycle and other auxiliary thermodynamic data. The thermodynamics of reaction of formation of the complex was investigated by the reaction in solution at the temperature range of 292.15–301.15 K. Enthalpies of mixing ΔH m of aqueous solutions of CdCl2, CuCl2, and ZnCl2 with MgCl2 solutions were measured at ionic strengths of 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 at 25°C. The excess enthalpy equations of Pitzer were then fitted to the resulting ΔH m data. The resulting parameters are the temperature derivatives of the activity coefficient mixing parameters in the Pitzer system.  相似文献

Dodecylamine hydrochloride C12H25NH3·Cl(s) and bis-dodecylammonium tetrachlorozincate (C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4(s) were synthesized by the method of liquid phase reaction. The constant-volume energy of combustion of dodecylamine hydrochloride was measured by means of a RBC-II precision rotating-bomb combustion calorimeter at T = (298.15 ± 0.001) K. The standard molar enthalpy of formation of C12H25NH3·Cl(s) was calculated to be \Updeltaf Hmo \Updelta_{\rm{f}} H_{\rm{m}}^{\rm{o}} (C12H25NH3·Cl, s) = −(706.79 ± 3.97) kJ mol−1 from the constant-volume energy of combustion. In accordance with Hess’ law, a reasonable thermochemical cycle was designed and the enthalpy change of the synthesis reaction of the complex (C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4(s) was determined by use of an isoperibol solution-reaction calorimeter. The standard molar enthalpy of formation of (C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4(s) was calculated as \Updeltaf Hmo \Updelta_{\rm{f}} H_{\rm{m}}^{\rm{o}} [(C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4, s] = −(1862.14 ± 7.95) kJ mol−1 from the standard molar enthalpy of formation of C12H25NH3·Cl(s) and other auxiliary thermodynamic data.  相似文献

A new ionic liquid, PMIInCl4, was prepared by mixing 1-methyl-3-pentylimidazolium chloride (PMIC) with InCl3. The molar enthalpies of solution of PMIC and PMIInCl4 in water to form solutions at various molalities were determined at 298.15 K using an isoperibol calorimeter. Using Pitzer's electrolyte solution model, the molar enthalpies of solution of PMIC and PMIInCl4 at infinite dilution, Δsol H^m, and Pitzer's ion-interaction parameters βMX (0)L, βMX (1)L and CMX ϕL, were derived. The values of the apparent relative molar enthalpy L and relative partial molar enthalpy of the solutes (PMIC and PMIInCl4), , were subsequently calculated. Using the values of Δsol H^m of PMIC, PMIInCl4 and InCl3, the enthalpy change, Δr<H=−38.19kJ·;mol-1, was calculated for the reaction PMIC + InCl3 → PMIInCl4  相似文献

The relative enthalpies, ΔHo (0) and ΔHo (298.15), of stationary points (four minimum and three transition structures) on the O3H potential energy surface were calculated with the aid of the G3MP2B3 as well as the CCSD(T)–CBS (W1U) procedures from which we earlier found mean absolute deviations (MAD) of 3.9 kJ mol−1 and 2.3 kJ mol−1, respectively, between experimental and calculated standard enthalpies of the formation of a set of 32 free radicals. For CCSD(T)-CBS (W1U) the well depth from O3 + H to trans-O3H, ΔHowell(298.15) = −339.1 kJ mol−1, as well as the reaction enthalpy of the overall reaction O3 + H→O2 + OH, ΔrHo(298.15) = −333.7 kJ mol−1, and the barrier of bond dissociation of trans-O3H → O2 + OH, ΔHo(298.15) = 22.3 kJ mol−1, affirm the stable short-lived intermediate O3H. In addition, for radicals cis-O3H and trans-O3H, the thermodynamic functions heat capacity Cop(T), entropy So (T), and thermal energy content Ho(T) − Ho(0) are tabulated in the range of 100 − 3000 K. The much debated calculated standard enthalpy of the formation of the trans-O3H resulted to be ΔfHo(298.15) = 31.1 kJ mol −1 and 32.9 kJ mol −1, at the G3MP2B3 and CCSD(T)-CBS (W1U) levels of theory, respectively. In addition, MR-ACPF-CBS calculations were applied to consider possible multiconfiguration effects and yield ΔfHo(298.15) = 21.2 kJ mol −1. The discrepancy between calculated values and the experimental value of −4.2 ± 21 kJ mol−1 is still unresolved. Note added in proof: Yu-Ran Luo and J. Alistair Kerr, based on the discussion in reference 12, recently presented an experimental value of ΔfHo(298.15) = 29.7 ± 8.4 kJ mol−1 in the 85th edition of the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (in progress).  相似文献

The low-temperature heat capacity C p,m of erythritol (C4H10O4, CAS 149-32-6) was precisely measured in the temperature range from 80 to 410 K by means of a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. A solid-liquid phase transition was found at T=390.254 K from the experimental C p-T curve. The molar enthalpy and entropy of this transition were determined to be 37.92±0.19 kJ mol−1 and 97.17±0.49 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. The thermodynamic functions [H T-H 298.15] and [S T-S 298.15], were derived from the heat capacity data in the temperature range of 80 to 410 K with an interval of 5 K. The standard molar enthalpy of combustion and the standard molar enthalpy of formation of the compound have been determined: Δc H m0(C4H10O4, cr)= −2102.90±1.56 kJ mol−1 and Δf H m0(C4H10O4, cr)= − 900.29±0.84 kJ mol−1, by means of a precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=298.15 K. DSC and TG measurements were performed to study the thermostability of the compound. The results were in agreement with those obtained from heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

The enthalpies of combustion and formation of S-lactic acid at 298.15 K, Δc H mo(cr.) = −1337.9 ± 0.8 and Δf H mo(cr.) = −700.1 ± 0.9 kJ/mol, were determined by calorimetry. The temperature dependence of acid vapor pressure was studied by the transpiration method, and the enthalpy of its vaporization was obtained, Δvap H o(298.15 K) = 69.1 ± 1.0 kJ/mol. The temperature and enthalpy of fusion, T m (330.4 K) and Δm H o(298.15 K) = 14.7 ± 0.2 kJ/mol, were determined by differential scanning calorimetry. The enthalpy of formation of the acid in the gas phase was obtained. Ab initio methods were used to perform a conformational analysis of the acid, calculate fundamental vibration frequencies, moments of inertia, and total and relative energies of the stablest conformers. Thermodynamic properties were calculated in the ideal gas state over the temperature range 0–1500 K. A thermodynamic analysis of mutual transformation processes (the formation of SS- and RS(meso)-lactides from S-lactic acid and the racemization of these lactides) and the formation of poly-(RS)-lactide from S-lactic acid and SS- and RS(meso)-lactides was performed.  相似文献

A brown and transparent ionic liquid (IL), [C4mim][FeCl4], was prepared by mixing anhydrous FeCl3 with 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C4mim][Cl]), with molar ratio 1/1 under stirring in a glove box filled with dry argon. The molar enthalpies of solution, Δs H m, of [C4mim][FeCl4], in water with various molalities were determined by a solution-reaction isoperibol calorimeter at 298.15 K. Considering the hydrolyzation of anion [FeCl4] in dissolution process of the IL, a new method of determining the standard molar enthalpy of solution, Δs H m0, was put forward on the bases of Pitzer solution theory of mixed electrolytes. The values of Δs H m0 and the sum of Pitzer parameters: and were obtained, respectively. In terms of thermodynamic cycle and the lattice energy of IL calculated by Glasser’s lattice energy theory of ILs, the dissociation enthalpy of anion [FeCl4], ΔH dis≈5650 kJ mol−1, for the reaction: [FeCl4](g)→Fe3+(g)+4Cl(g), was estimated. It is shown that large hydration enthalpies of ions have been compensated by large the dissociation enthalpy of [FeCl4] anion, Δd H m, in dissolution process of the IL.  相似文献

The protonation constants for oxidized glutathione, H i−1L(4−i+1)−, K i H=[H i L(4−i)−]/[H i−1L(4−i+1)−][H+] i=1,2,…,6 have been measured at 5, 25 and 45 °C as a function of the ionic strength (0.1 to 5.4 mol⋅[kg(H2O)]−1) in NaCl solutions. The effect of ionic strength on the measured protonation constants has been used to determine the thermodynamic values (K i H0) and the enthalpy (ΔH i ) for the dissociation reaction using the SIT model and Pitzer equations. The SIT (ε) and Pitzer parameters (β (0), β (1) and C) for the dissociation products (L4−, HL3−, H2L2−, H3L, H4L, H5L+, H6L2+) have been determined as a function of temperature. These results can be used to examine the effect of ionic strength and temperature on glutathione in aqueous solutions with NaCl as the major component (body fluids, seawater and brines).  相似文献

Results of solubility experiments involving crystalline nickel oxide (bunsenite) in aqueous solutions are reported as functions of temperature (0 to 350 °C) and pH at pressures slightly exceeding (with one exception) saturation vapor pressure. These experiments were carried out in either flow-through reactors or a hydrogen-electrode concentration cell for mildly acidic to near neutral pH solutions. The results were treated successfully with a thermodynamic model incorporating only the unhydrolyzed aqueous nickel species (viz., Ni2+) and the neutrally charged hydrolyzed species (viz., Ni(OH)20)\mathrm{Ni(OH)}_{2}^{0}). The thermodynamic quantities obtained at 25 °C and infinite dilution are, with 2σ uncertainties: log10Ks0o = (12.40 ±0.29),\varDeltarGmo = -(70. 8 ±1.7)\log_{10}K_{\mathrm{s0}}^{\mathrm{o}} = (12.40 \pm 0.29),\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}G_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} = -(70. 8 \pm 1.7) kJ⋅mol−1; \varDeltarHmo = -(105.6 ±1.3)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}H_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} = -(105.6 \pm 1.3) kJ⋅mol−1; \varDeltarSmo = -(116.6 ±3.2)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}S_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} =-(116.6 \pm 3.2) J⋅K−1⋅mol−1; \varDeltarCp,mo = (0 ±13)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}C_{p,m}^{\mathrm{o}} = (0 \pm 13) J⋅K−1⋅mol−1; and log10Ks2o = -(8.76 ±0.15)\log_{10}K_{\mathrm{s2}}^{\mathrm{o}} = -(8.76 \pm 0.15); \varDeltarGmo = (50.0 ±1.7)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}G_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} = (50.0 \pm 1.7) kJ⋅mol−1; \varDeltarHmo = (17.7 ±1.7)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}H_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} = (17.7 \pm 1.7) kJ⋅mol−1; \varDeltarSmo = -(108±7)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}S_{m}^{\mathrm{o}} = -(108\pm 7) J⋅K−1⋅mol−1; \varDeltarCp,mo = -(108 ±3)\varDelta_{\mathrm{r}}C_{p,m}^{\mathrm{o}} = -(108 \pm 3) J⋅K−1⋅mol−1. These results are internally consistent, but the latter set differs from those gleaned from previous studies recorded in the literature. The corresponding thermodynamic quantities for the formation of Ni2+ and Ni(OH)20\mathrm{Ni(OH)}_{2}^{0} are also estimated. Moreover, the Ni(OH)3 -\mathrm{Ni(OH)}_{3}^{ -} anion was never observed, even in relatively strong basic solutions (mOH - = 0.1m_{\mathrm{OH}^{ -}} = 0.1 mol⋅kg−1), contrary to the conclusions drawn from all but one previous study.  相似文献

The partial mixing enthalpies of the components (Δm $ \bar H $ \bar H i ) of the Ni-Ga melts were measured using the high-temperature isoperibolic calorimetry at 1770 ± 5 K in wide concentration interval. The limiting partial mixing enthalpy of gallium in a liquid nickel (Δm $ \bar H $ \bar H Ga) is −95.5 ± 19.8 kJ mol−1, and similar function of nickel in liquid gallium (Δm $ \bar H $ \bar H Ni) is −74.5 ± 16.4 kJ mol−1. The integral mixing enthalpy of liquid alloys of this system was calculated from partial enthalpies for the whole concentration area (Δm H min = −32.1 ± 2.7 kJ mol−1 at x Ni = 0.5). The Δm H value of liquid nickel-gallium alloys independence of the temperature is confirmed. Enthalpies of formation of liquid (Δm H) phases of Ni-Ga system were compared with ones for solid (Δf H) phases of this system. An analysis of d-metals influence on formation energy of Ga-d-Me melts was made using the values of Δf H for intermediate phases of these systems. The article was translated by the authors.  相似文献

Three samples of silicon dioxide were syhthesized and their surface areas were measured. A thermo-chemical cycle was designed to calculate the molar formation enthalpy. The molar formation enthalpy, Δf H mΦ, for three amorphous silica with the Langmuir surface area 198.0854, 25.1108 and 11.9821 m2 g−1 gave −895.52, −910.86 and −915.67 kJ mol−1, respectively. With the increasing surface area, the values of Δf H mΦ increased accordingly. The results suggest that the silica with larger surface area is more unstable. The wetting heat was also measured by adding the silica powder into water. With the rehydration of the more SiOH groups on the surface, the larger surface areas of silica lead to the more wetting heat. A smaller particle has the more unstable hydroxyl groups and surface energy.  相似文献
