合成了一种耐高温的3,4-二(3-苯氧基-4-氟苯基)-2,5-二苯基苯基接枝聚硅氧烷(DPFP)固定相,使用静态涂渍法将其涂渍到毛细管柱内壁上,制成气相色谱柱。分离裂解乙烯的色谱图显示DPFP固定相在360℃时仍具有良好的分离能力。DPFP固定相的柱效为3 324块/米(保留因子(k)4.24,萘,0.25 mm i.d.)。麦克雷诺常数计算结果显示DPFP固定相属中等极性。溶剂化参数模型结果显示DPFP固定相与溶质之间的主要作用力为偶极-诱导偶极作用力、氢键碱性作用力。Grob试剂分离结果显示DPFP色谱柱具有良好的选择性与惰性。另外,芳香族同分异构体、苯取代物、多环芳烃、脂肪酸酯及脂肪醇都得到了良好的分离,表明DPFP固定相在应用方面有巨大的潜力。  相似文献

In this study, vinyl phenyl boronic acid modified lauryl methacrylate‐based monolithic column was successfully prepared for cation exchange/hydrophobic interaction monolithic chromatography of small molecules and proteins in nano LC. The polymeric mixture consisted of lauryl methacrylate, vinyl phenyl boronic acid as cation exchanger, ethylene dimethacrylate as cross‐linker, polyethylene glycol and methanol as binary porogenic solvent, and azobisisobutyronitrile as initiator. The resulting monolith showed good permeability and mechanical stability. Different ratios of monomer and porogens were used for optimizing the properties of the column. The monolithic column performance with respect to hydrophobic and cation exchange interactions was assessed by the separation a series of alkyl benzenes and anilines, respectively. cis‐Diol‐containing compounds such as phenols were also utilized to evaluate the retention behaviors of the vinyl phenyl boronic acid modified monolithic column. The monolithic column showed cation exchange interactions in the separation of aniline compounds. Theoretical plate number up to 52 000 plates/m was successfully achieved. The prepared monolith was further applied to the proteins with different acetonitrile content.  相似文献

Summary Variations in retention and selectivity have been studied in cyano, phenyl and octyl reversed bonded phase HPLC columns. The retention of toluene, phenol, aniline and nitrobenzene in these columns has been measured using binary mixtures of water and methanol, acetonitrile or tetrahydrofuran mobile phases in order to determine the relative contributions of proton donor-proton acceptor and dipole-dipole interactions in the retention process. Retention and selectivity in these columns was correlated with polar group selectivities of mobile phase organic modifiers and the polarity of the bonded stationary phases. In spite of the prominent role of bonded phase volume and residual silanols in the retention process, each column exhibited some unique selectivities when used with different organic modifiers.  相似文献

Previous work suggests that pi-pi interactions between certain solutes and both phenyl and cyano columns can contribute to sample retention and the selectivity of these two column types versus alkylsilica columns. Recent studies also suggest that dipole-dipole interactions are generally unimportant for retention on cyano columns. The present study presents data for 44 solutes, three columns and two different mobile phases that were selected to further test these conclusions. We find that pi-pi interactions can contribute to retention on both cyano and phenyl columns, while dipole-dipole interactions are likely to be significant for the retention of polar aliphatic solutes on cyano columns. When acetonitrile/water mobile phases are used, both pi-pi and dipole-dipole interactions are suppressed, compared to the use of methanol/water.  相似文献

The results of an MOLCAO calculation on both σ and π electron systems of several substituted benzenes are reported. The charge densities obtained reproduce the dipole moments of the molecules examined, provided that substituents with strong mesomeric effects are not present. It is shown that there is a satisfactory agreement between 13C and 1H chemical shifts and the trend of total charge densities for all positions of substituted benzenes.  相似文献

The retention behavior of thirteen alkylated guanines on normal-phase silica gel and amino columns and on reversed-phase ODS and phenyl columns was studied. The larger the alkyl substituent at the same position of guanine the weaker was the retention in the normal-phase chromatographic system and the greater the retention during reversed-phase chromatography. O6-Derivatives possess the lowest polarity in each set of isomers. An amino column was found to be of highest efficiency in terms of separation of the set of ethylguanine isomers and of benzylguanines studied. A phenyl column provided the best resolution of methylated guanines.  相似文献

Density functional theory calculation was carried out on cation‐π complexes formed by cations [M = H+, Li+, Na+, K+, Be2+, Mg2+, and Ca2+] and π systems of annelated benzene. The cation‐π bonding energy of Be2+ or Mg2+ with annelated benzene is very strong in comparison with the common cation‐π intermolecular interaction, and the bonding energies follow the order Be2+ > Mg2+ > Ca2+ > Li+ > Na+ > K+. Similarly, the interaction energies follow the trend 1‐M < 2‐M < 3‐M for all the metal cations considered. These outcomes may be due to the weak interactions of the metal cations with C? H and the interactions of metal cations with π in addition to the nature of a metal cation. We have also investigated on all the possible substituted sites, and find that the metal ion tends to interact with all ring atoms while proton prefers to bind covalently to one of the ring carbons. The binding of metal cations with annelated benzenes has striking effect on nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts using the gauge independent atomic orbital method. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. As reported previously, five solute-column interactions (hydrophobicity, steric resistance, hydrogen-bond acidity and basicity, ionic interaction) quantitatively describe column selectivity for 163 alkyl-silica, polar-group and cyano columns. In the present study, solute retention and column selectivity for 11 phenyl and 5 fluoro-substituted columns were compared with alkyl-silica columns of similar ligand length. It is concluded that two additional solute-column interactions may be significant in affecting retention and selectivity for the latter columns: (a) dispersion interactions of varying strength as a result of significant differences in bonded-phase polarizability or refractive index and (b) pi-pi interactions in the case of phenyl columns and aromatic solutes. These 16 phenyl and fluoro columns were also characterized in terms of hydrophobicity, steric resistance, hydrogen-bond acidity and basicity, and ionic interaction.  相似文献

Summary With the molecular hydrophobic feature represented by Van der Waals molecular volume, the-hydrophilic parameter of substituting groups in mono-substituted benzenes was determined, in order to predict the retention of substituted benzenes in RP-HPLC. Thus it is possible to predict the retention of multi-functional substituted benzenes. The agreement between the calculated and the measured retention values shows that the proposed model to deal with retention of solutes is reasonable.  相似文献

Summary Block copolymers of styrene andt-butyl methacrylate can be analysed by methanol/tetrahydrofuran gradients on C18 or phenyl bonded phase columns. On both of these columns, retention increases with styrene content of the samples. At 50°C, the retention of PS or a block copolymer containing 45% styrene was longer on the phenyl than the C18 columns. This indicates the contribution of adsorption to retention on phenyl bonded phase columns. Lowering the temperature from 50 to 30°C caused earlier elution of part of the sample from the phenyl phase. On a C18 phase the same drop in temperature improved the shape of the peak, which also started later than at 50°C. This effect of temperature is generally observed in polymer retention due to an adsorption mechanism, whereas increasing retention with decrease in temperature is characteristic of a precipitation mechanism.The block copolymer investigated contained 15% free polystyrene precursor which could not be separated from the block copolymer under the conditions employed. The addition of 20% PS homopolymer with a molecular weight similar to that of the styrene block in the copolymer showed that the polystyrene eluted together with the block copolymer, whereas the addition of PS homopolymer with a much higher molecular weight caused an extra peak at the expected elution time.Part I see Ref. Calixarene‐bonded stationary phases received growing interest in HPLC as stationary phases with special retention characteristics and selectivity. The commercially available unsubstituted and ptert‐butyl‐substituted Caltrex® columns have been intensively studied and characterized in our workgroup. They can be used as reversed phases, yet they support additional interactions. Especially, their steric, polar and ionic properties differ from conventional alkyl‐bonded phases. However, also the hydrophobic interaction shows differences since adsorption and partition interactions on or in a bonded layer of calixarenes are not similar to those of alkyl‐bonded layers. The relative strength of the hydrophobic properties of the stationary phases has been found depending on the methanol concentration of the mobile phase. Generally, the dependencies of their interaction strengths on mobile‐phase conditions, e.g. the change of the intensity of the hydrogen‐bonding abilities with decreasing methanol content, are not similar from phase to phase either. This probably gives calixarene‐bonded stationary phases enhanced suitability for analyses at extreme compositions of the mobile phase. An interpretation of specific electron-donor-acceptor interactions between the adsorbent coating the walls of a capillary column and adsorbates from the groups of alicyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons is proposed. The adsorbent was based on silica the surface of which was modified with silane containing 3-benzylketoimine groups to improve its adsorption properties. The columns studied had walls coated with 3-benzylketoimine groups, and Cu(II) chloride complexes or with Ni(II) chloride complexes. The adsorbate-adsorbent interactions were interpreted on the basis of the Kovats retention index, specific retention volume, molecular retention index, and ??M e values. The influence of particular elements of spatial structure and the positions of double bonds in the adsorbate molecule was evaluated on the modelling calculations based on the quantitative structure-retention relationships. The introduction of transition metal ions in the form of complexes into the adsorbents studied increased the strength of the interactions between the adsorption layer of the capillary column and the adsorbate molecules. The increased strength of the interactions was accompanied by increased selectivity of the columns with regard to a group of alicyclic and aromatic hydrocarbons. The analytical performance of the columns thus obtained was compared with that of a commercial column coated with the 100 % dimethyl polysiloxane phase.  相似文献

A number of capillary columns with stationary liquid phases based on mono- and dication pyridinium ionic liquids (ILs) were prepared. Their polarity was evaluated using McReynolds system and the selectivity was estimated from intermolecular interactions. The parameters of intermolecular interactions were obtained from retention data using the (Abraham) model of the linear free energy relationship. The dependences of intermolecular interactions on the structure of the cation in the ILs under study were revealed. The results were compared with the data for the traditional phases (HP-5, ZB-WAX). Examples of separation of mixtures of oxygen-containing compounds on the phases under study are given.  相似文献

Combined effects of temperature and mobile phase on the reversed phase chromatographic behavior of alkylbenzenes and simple substituted benzenes were investigated on a Blaze C8 polydentate silica-based column, showing improved resistance against hydrolytic breakdown at temperatures higher than 60 °C, in comparison to silica-based stationary phases with single attachment sites. For better insight into the retention mechanism on polydentate columns, we determined the enthalpy and entropy of the transfer of the test compounds from the mobile to the stationary phase. The enthalpic contribution dominated the retention at 80% or lower concentrations of methanol in the mobile phase. Entropic effects are more significant in 90% methanol and in acetonitrile–water mobile phases. Anomalies in the effects of mobile phase on the enthalpy of retention of benzene, methylbenzene and polar benzene derivatives were observed, in comparison to regular change in enthalpy and entropy of adsorption with changing concentration of organic solvent and the alkyl length for higher alkylbenzenes. The temperature and the mobile phase effects on the retention are practically independent of each other and – to first approximation – can be described by a simple model equation, which can be used for optimization of separation conditions.  相似文献

Resonance Raman spectroscopy has been demonstrated to give important structural information on the reactions of aromatic molecules in the interlayer of transition-metal ion-exchanged montmorillonites. Para-substituted benzenes or 4,4-substituted biphenyls are oxidized to form their cation radicals, which are stabilized in the interlayer of the clay mineral. The oxidative dimerization or polymerization results in the formation of biphenyl type cations and poly-p-phenylene cations from mono-substituted benzenes and benzene, respectively.  相似文献

The multidimensional high-performance liquid chromatography separations of the complex sample matrix found in café espresso coffee were completed on the propyl phenyl and butyl phenyl columns that contain 3 and 4 carbon atoms in the spacer chain, respectively. Phenyl type stationary phases are able to undergo unique π-π interactions with aromatic compounds. Previous works have found that there are differences in retention characteristics between these chain lengths and this was explored further here. It was found that when analysing the separations by quadrants, using a geometric approach to factor analysis and by measuring the normalised mean radius, subtle differences in the separations were observed and the butyl phenyl phase was more selective for the high to medium polarity species. However, there was very little difference in separation behaviour for the hydrophobic components within the coffee sample. Overall, the analysis of the entire separation showed very little difference.  相似文献

研究了甲基对硫磷和西维因在蒙脱石、高岭石和针铁矿表面的吸附 解吸特征。结果表明,Langmuir方程能较好的描述甲基对硫磷和西维因在3种矿物表面的等温吸附过程,且蒙脱石对农药的最大吸附量大于高岭石和针铁矿。用动力学方程对2种农药的吸附过程进行拟合,Elovich方程、双常数方程和一级动力学方程均得到较好的结果,其中Elovich方程为最佳模型,相关系数(R2)在0.93~0.98之间,说明该吸附为非均相扩散过程。3种矿物对甲基对硫磷和西维因的吸附强度均为蒙脱石>高岭石>针铁矿。  相似文献
