 基于单粒子理论,描述了相对论电子束在离子通道中的聚焦输运过程,讨论了离子-电子密度比、相对论因子、束加速电压和入射电流等系统参数对电子束的聚焦半径、纵向聚焦位置的影响。研究表明,离子通道对电子束具有强烈的聚焦效应,束流在离子通道内的传输是类周期波动传输,随传输距离增加,聚焦点处的半径逐渐增加,束流的波动幅度逐渐减小。选择适当的系统参数,可调节束聚焦点位置和聚焦点半径的大小,实现电子束的长距传输并且减少电子束的耗散。  相似文献

考虑到中性粒子束对近地轨道太空垃圾的清理作用以及在太空探索中的潜在应用前景,研究了中性粒子束在亚轨道空间长程传输过程中影响束流能量和密度损失的主要物理机制,重点分析了剥离效应对束流损耗的影响。中性束剥离效应包括束流粒子之间碰撞导致的自剥离效应和其与大气粒子碰撞导致的剥离效应。以束密度随传播距离变化的方程为基础,通过引用几何因子来表征束流的自剥离效应强度,建立了剥离效应机制下束流的传输模型,由此评估了束流自剥离效应在中性束长程传输中对传输距离的影响关系。研究结果表明,在固定的高度,当中性束密度大于空气粒子密度时,自剥离效应的影响将非常突出,随着传输高度的升高,即使束密度和空气密度同时降低维持量级一致,自剥离效应对传输距离的影响在大几何因子的情况下仍会增强。  相似文献

基于HL-2A托卡马克装置的真实磁场位形,应用大型边缘等离子体湍流模拟程序BOUT++中的子程序模块trans-neut对不同的超声分子束注入(SMBI)密度和宽度进行模拟.在SMBI过程中,保持单位时间内分子注入个数和注入速度恒定,在恒定通量情况下,通过调整注入分子束密度和宽度来研究SMBI注入深度的变化.研究结果表明:在注入密度较小、注入宽度较大时,SMBI的注入深度更深,分子和原子的分解率和电离率的时空区域较宽.分子分解局域化会抑制全局分解率的增长,而分解局域化又会引发局域分解率的加速增长,进而促进全局分解率的增长,促进效果占优导致在注入速度一定的情况下,恒定通量的分子注入发散角越小,分子注入深度越浅.  相似文献

Abstract

The excitation of surface plasma waves due to the interaction of an elliptical relativistic density modulated electron beam with the magnetized dusty plasma column with elliptical cross-section has been studied. The dispersion relation of surface plasma waves has been retrieved from the derived dispersion relation by considering that the beam is absent and there is no dust in the plasma elliptical cylinder. It is shown that the Cherenkov and fast cyclotron interactions appear between the beam and eigen-modes of plasma column. The growth rate of the instability increases with the beam density and modulation index as one-third power of the beam density in Cherenkov interaction and is proportional to the square root of beam density in fast cyclotron interaction. The numerical results and graphs are presented, too.  相似文献

In this article, we report the generation of terahertz (THz) radiation using the interaction of a laser‐modulated relativistic electron beam (REB) with a surface plasma wave. Two laser beams propagating through the modulator interact with the REB, leading to velocity modulation of the beam. This results in pre‐bunching of the REB. The pre‐bunched beam travels through the drift space, where the velocity modulation translates into density modulation. The density‐modulated beam, on interacting with the surface plasma pump wave, acquires an oscillatory velocity that couples with the modulated beam density to give rise to a nonlinear current density which acts as an antenna to give THz radiation. By optimizing the parameters of the beam and the wiggler, we obtain power of the order of 10−4 using the current scheme.  相似文献

通过在强磁场条件下,利用环形刀口石墨阴极(刀口尺寸38~39mm)开展电子束轰击收集极内表面铜箔和垂直轰击金属靶片实验,对无箔二极管中电子束的空间密度分布进行了初步研究,并对其产生原因进行了分析。研究结果表明,电子束径向分布在37.2~40.2mm,存在密度较高区域(38.8~39.4mm)和密度最大值点(39.2mm),且均偏向于阴极外侧。无箔二极管环形阴极爆炸发射产生电子束的径向密度分布可用偏态分布近似。  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of self-focusing of elliptical laser beam in collisionless plasma and its effect on stimulated Brillouin scattering. The pump beam interacts with a pre-excited ion-acoustic wave leading to Brillouin back-scattered process. The transverse intensity gradient of a pump beam generates a ponderomotive force, which modifies the background plasma density profile in a direction transverse to pump beam axis. This modification in density effects the incident laser beam, ion-acoustic wave and back-scattered beam. Non-linear differential equations for the beam width parameters of pump laser beam, ion-acoustic wave and back-scattered beam are set up and solved numerically. It is observed from the analysis that the focusing of waves enhances the SBS back-reflectivity.  相似文献

模拟研究了非理想氢原子束在真空环境下的长程传输效应。根据中性化程度的不同,将非理想束分为欠中性束和过中性束。通过建立束流传输的准电磁模型,研究了束流密度、中性化因子、空间磁场和弹性散射等因素对非理想氢原子束的影响。结果表明:对于欠中性束,负氢离子的存在对氢原子的传输几乎没有影响,因此欠中性束的发射装置可以考虑去除偏置磁场,以减小设备体积和质量;对于过中性束,束流损失率与束流密度和中性化因子有关,即束流密度越大,束流损失越大;中性化因子越高,束流损失就越高;而无论是欠中性束还是过中性束,空间磁场和粒子间的弹性散射对其传输都没有影响。  相似文献

Clouds of stray electrons are ubiquitous in particle accelerators and frequently limit the performance of storage rings. Earlier measurements of electron energy distribution and flux to the walls provided only a relative electron-cloud density. We have measured electron accumulation using ions expelled by the beam. The ion energy distribution maps the depressed beam potential and gives the dynamic cloud density. Clearing electrode current reveals the static background cloud density, allowing the first absolute measurement of the time-dependent electron-cloud density during the beam pulse.  相似文献

In Part 1, it was demonstrated that intensity measurements on an actual beam in the laboratory allow one to determine so-called density matrices related to the beam shape coefficients encoding the beam and used in many expressions of the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory. In this paper, expressions in the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory are rewritten and it is shown that they can be expressed in terms of the density matrices rather than in terms of beam shape coefficients, leading to what is called the density matrix approach to the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory. The possibility of rewriting the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory in terms of quantities describing the illuminating beam and experimentally measurable in the laboratory offers new opportunities in optical characterization.  相似文献

In the present work,nonlinear interaction of elliptical laser beam with collisional plasma is studied by using paraxial ray approximation.Nonlinear differential equations for the beam width parameters of semi-major axis and semi-minor axis of elliptical laser beam have been set up and solved numerically to study the variation of beam width parameters with normalized distance of propagation.Effects of variation in absorption coefficient and plasma density on the beam width parameters are also analyzed.It is observed from the analysis that extent of self-focusing of beam increases with increase/decrease in plasma density/absorption coefficient.  相似文献

 在星光Ⅱ铷玻璃激光装置上,采用两级喇曼压缩系统产生的波长为308 nm的紫外光作为探针束,配合Nomarski偏振干涉仪对金平面靶冕区激光等离子体进行诊断。308 nm光具有波长短、亮度高、脉冲时间短、相干性好的优点,作为探针束诊断冕区产生的等离子体电子密度,可以与高功率激光装置打靶激光同步,实现有效地脉冲压缩,同时避免等离子体中谐波分量的干扰。实验获得了308 nm紫外探针光偏振干涉条纹图,在研究Abel反演算法的基础上,利用自行研制的基于Windows操作系统的实验数据处理软件,对实验数据进行了处理和分析,得到了冕区等离子体电子密度的空间分布。结果表明:两级喇曼压缩系统配偏振干涉能有效抑制主束谐波影响,以更高时间分辨测量等离子体的更高密度区域。  相似文献

This work investigates the joint effects of jet engine exhaust-induced turbulence and atmospheric turbulence on the propagation of a partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model Array (GSMA) vortex beam. Using the two-process propagation method, analytical formulae are derived for the cross-spectral density, spectral density, degree of coherence, and beam width of the considered beam. The results show that the considered beam takes different shapes; when the spatial coherence is large, the spectral density of the GSMA vortex beam takes an elliptical shape, whereas when the spatial coherence is smaller, the spectral density remains a Gaussian shape. The evolution profile of the degree of coherence weakens gradually when the propagation distance, topological charge, and turbulence strength increase. Moreover, the profile of the degree of coherence takes the Gaussian profile when the propagation distance is longer or turbulence atmospheric is stronger. Furthermore, the results reveal that the corresponding beam spreads faster with a larger propagation distance, lower spatial coherence, and high-strength turbulence. This study also concludes from the results that the beam is affected more when its propagation is near the jet engine exhaust, which means that this latter has a significant impact.  相似文献

It is known that ion channel can effectively limit the radial expansion of an artificial electron beam during its longrange propagation in the space plasma environment. Most prior studies discussed the focusing characteristics of the beam in the ion channel, but the establishment process and transient properties of the ion channel itself, which also plays a crucial role during the propagation of the relativistic electron beam in the plasma environment, were commonly neglected. In this study, a series of two-dimensional(2 D) particle-in-cell simulations is performed and an analytical model of ion channel oscillation is constructed according to the single-particle motion. The results showed that when the beam density is higher than the density of plasma environment, ion channel can be established and always continues to oscillate periodically over the entire propagation. Multiple factors, including the beam electron density, initial beam radius, and the plasma density can affect the oscillation properties of ion channel. Axial velocity of the beam oscillates synchronously with the ion channel and this phenomenon will finally develop into a two-stream instability which can seriously affect the effective transport for relativistic electron beam. Choosing appropriate beam parameters based on various plasma environments may contribute to the improvement of the stability of ion channel. Additionally, radial expansion of the beam can be limited by ion channel and a stable long-range propagation in terrestrial atmosphere may be achieved.  相似文献

We report a beam-shaping technique that reconfigures the beams to improve the beam quality and enhance the power density for a ten-array high-power laser-diode stack by using two optical rectangular cubes and two stripe-mirror plates. The reshaped beam has threefold improvement in beam quality, and its power density is effectively enhanced. On the basis of this technique, we focus the beam of the high-power laser-diode stack to effectively end pump a high-power fiber laser.  相似文献

Results are presented from experimental studies of the formation of a ribbon electron beam during the extraction of electrons from the plasma of a steady-state hollow-cathode discharge in the forevacuum pressure range. It is shown that the main reason for the nonuniformity of the current density is the increase in the local nonuniformity of the emission plasma density caused by the return flow of ions from the accelerating gap. Taking this feature into account when developing a system of beam extraction provides for the generation of a ribbon beam with a nonuniformity of the current density along the beam of less than 10%.  相似文献
