A simple gold-catalyzed annulation of 1,8-dialkynylnaphthalenes utilizing a cationic gold catalyst was developed. Such a peri-position of two alkynyl substituents has not been studied in gold catalysis before. Dependent on the substrate, the reactions either follow a mechanism involving vinyl cation intermediates or involve a dual gold catalysis mechanism which in an initial 6-endo-dig-cyclization generates gold(I) vinylidene intermediates that are able to insert into C−H bonds. Indenophenalene derivatives were obtained in moderate to high yields. In addition, the bidirectional gold-catalyzed annulation of tetraynes provided even larger conjugated π-systems. The optoelectronic properties of the products were also investigated.  相似文献

Such well-defined complexes can now be isolated and fully characterized and may assist in elucidating the exact action of gold centers in gold-catalyzed reactions. In view of the latest developments in this area, possibilities now abound in terms of mechanistic exploration and novel catalyst design.  相似文献

A gold-catalyzed synthesis of polyfluoroalkylated oxazoles from N-propargylamides under visible-light irradiation has been developed. These reactions display excellent compatibility of radicals and gold catalysts under visible-light irradiation. Mechanistic experiments indicate that polyfluoroalkyl iodides play a dual role in enhanced compatibility of radicals and gold catalysts through assisted protodeauration of vinyl gold and reactivated the gold catalyst. In addition, PPh3AuNTf2 not only activates N-propargylamide to generate vinyl gold intermediate, but also greatly promotes homolysis of polyfluoroalkyl iodides under blue light irradiation.  相似文献

Asymmetric gold catalysis has been rapidly developed in the past ten years. Breakthroughs have been made by rational design and meticulous selection of chiral ligands. This review summarizes newly developed gold-catalyzed enantioselective organic transformations and recent progress in ligand design (since 2016), organized according to different types of chiral ligands, including bisphosphine ligands, monophosphine ligands, phosphite-derived ligands, and N-heterocyclic carbene ligands for asymmetric gold(I) catalysis as well as heterocyclic carbene ligands and oxazoline ligands for asymmetric gold(III) catalysis.  相似文献

The implementation of gold catalysis into large-scale processes suffers from the fact that most reactions still require high catalyst loadings to achieve efficient catalysis thus making upscaling impractical. Here, we report systematic studies on the impact of the substituent in the backbone of ylide-substituted phosphines (YPhos) on the catalytic activity in the hydroamination of alkynes, which allowed us to increase the catalyst performance by orders of magnitude. While electronic changes of the ligand properties by introduction of aryl groups with electron-withdrawing or electron-donating groups had surprisingly little impact on the activity of the gold complexes, the use of bulky aryl groups with ortho-substituents led to a remarkable boost in the catalyst activity. However, this catalyst improvement is not a result of an increased steric demand of the ligand towards the metal center, but due to steric protection of the reactive ylidic carbon centre in the ligand backbone. The gold complex of the thus designed mesityl-substituted YPhos ligand YMesPCy2, which is readily accessible in one step from a simple phosphonium salt, exhibited a high catalyst stability and allowed for turnover numbers up to 20 000 in the hydroamination of a series of different alkynes and amines. Furthermore, the catalyst was also active in more challenging reactions including enyne cyclisation and the formation of 1,2-dihydroquinolines.

Modification of the backbone in ylide-substituted phosphines allowed a remarkable boost in the catalytic activity, thus enabling a series of gold catalyzed transformations at very low catalyst loadings.  相似文献

Treatment of 2,4-dien-1-als with allylsilanes and PPh(3)AuSbF(6) (3 mol %) led to formation of 1,4-bis(allyl)cyclopentenyl products; this gold catalyst is superior to commonly used Lewis acids according to catalyst screening. Such gold-catalyzed deoxygenative cyclizations are compatible with various oxygen-, amine-, sulfur-, hydrogen-, and carbon-based nucleophiles. The value of this new catalysis is demonstrated by the diverse annulations of 2,4-dien-1-als with electron-rich alkenes and arenes, providing an easy access to complicated cyclopentenyl frameworks. Structural analysis of annulation products reveals evidence for the participation of Nazarov cyclization. This deoxygenative cyclization is extensible to a tandem intramolecular cyclization/nucleophilic addition cascade, giving polycyclic carbo- or oxacyclic compounds with controlled stereochemistry. This new gold catalysis is applied to a short synthesis of natural compounds of the brazilane family, including brazilane, O-trimethyl-, and O-tetramethyl brazilane.  相似文献

The effect of different substituents, such as bromo, chloromethyl, hydroxymethyl, formyl, acetyl, carboxy, and acylated hydroxymethyl and ammonium groups, on the furan ring of substrates in gold-catalyzed phenol synthesis has been investigated. The furan ring was also replaced by different heterocycles, such as pyrroles, thiophenes, oxazoles, and a 2,4-dimethoxyphenyl group; gold catalysis then delivered no phenols, but occasionally other products were obtained. [Ru(3)(CO)(12)] also catalyzed the conversion of 1 at a low rate, [Os(3)(CO)(12)] failed as a catalyst, and with [Co(2)(CO)(8)] the alkyne complex 19 can be obtained, it does not lead to any phenol but reacts with norbornene to give the product of a Pauson-Khand reaction. Efforts to prepare vinylidene complexes of 1 provided the only evidence for these species; in the presence of a phosphane ligand with ruthenium an interesting deoxygenation to 22 was observed. The phenol 2 c was converted to the allyl ether, a building block for para-Claisen rearrangements, and to the aryl triflate, a building block for cross-coupling reactions.  相似文献

A range of substituted alkynyl aziridines undergo a ring expansion to afford 2,5-substituted pyrroles under gold catalysis. While effective conditions can be generated from other gold sources, a combination of Ph3PAuCl and AgOTs generate a catalyst system that provides extremely clean cycloisomerisation reactions requiring minimal work-up and purification.  相似文献

This account describes our recent efforts devoted to gold chemistry since 2009. Based on furyl–Au 1,3‐dipole analogues and related gold carbene intermediates, a rich variety of gold‐catalyzed cascade reactions have been developed, which provide facile access to a diverse range of novel carbo‐ and heterocycles. In these reactions, the selectivity can be well controlled by the catalyst (ligand and metal), substrate or reagent. In addition, we have also developed the corresponding enantioselective variants, which are guided by bis(phosphinegold) complexes derived from axially chiral scaffolds and asymmetric gold/chiral Brønsted acid relay catalysis.  相似文献

Gold catalysis   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Catalysis by gold has rapidly become a hot topic in chemistry, with a new discovery being made almost every week. Gold is equally effective as a heterogeneous or a homogeneous catalyst and in this Review we attempt to marry these two facets to demonstrate this new found and general efficacy of gold. The latest discoveries are placed within a historical context, but the main thrust is to highlight the new catalytic possibilities that gold-catalyzed reactions currently offer the synthetic chemist, in particular in redox reactions and nucleophilic additions to pi systems. Indeed gold has proved to be an effective catalyst for many reactions for which a catalyst had not been previously identified, and many new discoveries are still expected.  相似文献

A series of water-soluble encapsulated copper(I), silver(I) or gold(I) complexes based on NHC-capped permethylated cyclodextrins ( ICyDMe ) were developed and used as catalysts in pure water for hydration, lactonization, hydroarylation and cycloisomerization reactions. ICyDMe ligands gave cavity-based high regioselectivity in hydroarylations, and high enantioselectivities in gold-catalyzed cycloisomerizations reactions giving up to 98 % ee in water. These ICyDMe are therefore useful ligands for selective catalysis in pure water.  相似文献

This short account describes our efforts to transform the simple nucleophilic addition of alkynes into a more efficient, selective and environmentally benign synthetic tool. We have circumvented the lack of regioselectivity in the gold-catalyzed triple bond addition of water through neighboring group participation and in the process we developed a ‘functionalized hydration’ (multiple bond formation and hydration in a one-pot process) using fluorine-engendered cationic gold catalysis. In addition, we have conducted the synthesis of O-heterocycles through a gold-catalyzed tandem addition/cycloisomerization sequence, the synthesis of N-heterocycles through a copper-catalyzed cyclization-triggered addition of alkynes, and a green synthesis of thioethers ‘on water’ without catalyst or initiator. These nucleophilic synthetic evolutions, catapulted by a simple addition to an alkyne, will surely contribute to provide a wider synthetic access to sophisticated biological targets.  相似文献

This review summarizes recent developments (from 2006 to 2022) in numerous important and efficient carbo- and heterocycle generations using gold-catalyzed cascade protocols. Herein, methodologies involve selectivity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of product formation being controlled by the ligand as well as the counter anion, catalyst, substrate, and reaction conditions. Gold-catalyzed cascade reactions covered different strategies through the compilation of various approaches such as cyclization, hydroarylation, intermolecular and intramolecular cascade reactions, etc. This entitled reaction is also useful for the synthesis of spiro, fused, bridged carbo- and heterocycles.  相似文献

Gold-catalyzed dehydro-Diels-Alder reactions of ynamide derivatives allow efficient access to a variety of N-containing aromatic heterocycles. A dual gold catalysis mechanism was postulated for transformations involving the formation of C−C bonds by reaction between a terminal alkyne and an enynamide fragment. In this article, complete experimental and computational investigations into the mechanism of such a transformation are reported. Support for a dual gold catalysis was found and it was shown that the concerted or stepwise nature of the cyclization event depends on the substitution of the ynamide moiety. The reaction was found to proceed in three stages: 1) formation of a σ,π-digold complex from the terminal alkyne, 2) cyclization to produce a gem-diaurated aryl complex, and 3) catalyst transfer to free the product and regenerate the σ,π-digold complex.  相似文献

Transition metal-catalyzed enantioselective functionalization of ubiquitous C−H bonds has proven to be promising field as it offers the construction of chiral molecular complexity in a step- and atom-economical manner. In recent years, gold has emerged as an attractive contender for catalyzing such reactions. The unique reactivities and selectivities offered by gold catalysts have been exploited to access numerous asymmetric transformations based on gold-catalyzed C−H functionalization processes. Herein, this review critically highlights the major advances and discoveries made in the enantioselective C−H functionalization under gold catalysis which is accompanied by mechanistic insights at appropriate places.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry of a phosphonium ylid complex of gold produces an ion whose mass and gas-phase chemical reactivity indicate that it is a gold benzylidene complex. The complex, with a supporting NHC ligand, corresponds to a type of reactive intermediates which have been presumed to act in gold-catalyzed cyclopropanation reactions, but which have not been observed to date in solution or gas-phase experiments. A threshold CID experiment also yields thermochemical information on the formation of the gold carbene from the ylid complex precursor.  相似文献

A series of furan-yne systems was transformed into the corresponding tetrasubstituted annelated phenol derivatives that bear one bromo group. The two-step procedure consisted of a phenol synthesis and a subsequent electrophilic bromination with N-bromosuccinimide (NBS). The reactions can be performed in a one-pot procedure with the same precatalyst. The halogenation reaction is highly selective only in the presence of the gold catalyst. En-diyne substrates were also suitable starting materials; then the pentasubstituted aromatic core showed a completely different substitution pattern for the phenolic products. Furthermore, a one-pot protocol that consisted of a gold-catalyzed phenol synthesis, a gold-catalyzed halogenation reaction, and a palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling was established. The overall efficiency of this procedure was excellent and the substrate scope of the reaction was broad.  相似文献

The organometallic approach is one of the most active topics in catalysis. The application of NH functionality in organometallic catalysis has become an important and attractive concept in catalyst design. NH moieties in the modifiers of organometallic catalysts have been shown to have various beneficial functions in catalysis by molecular recognition through hydrogen bonding to give catalyst–substrate, ligand–ligand, ligand–catalyst, and catalyst–catalyst interactions. This Review summarizes recent progress in the development of the organometallic catalysts based on the concept of cooperative catalysis by focusing on the NH moiety.  相似文献

The formation of aryl–aryl bonds and heteroaryl analogues is one of the most important C–C bond forming processes in organic chemistry. Recently, a methodology termed Direct Arylation (DA) has emerged as an attractive alternative to traditional cross-coupling reactions (Suzuki–Miyaura, Stille, Negishi, etc.). A parallel focus of the pharmaceutical and other chemical industries has been on the use heterogeneous catalysis as a favourable substitute for its homogeneous counterpart in cross-coupling reactions. Only very recently has heterogeneous catalysis been proposed and applied, to DA reactions. In this perspective, we consider the terms ‘heterogeneous’ and ‘homogeneous’ and the problems associated with their delineation in transition-metal catalysed reactions. We highlight the reports at the interface of DA and heterogeneous catalysis and we comment briefly on the methods used which attempt to classify reaction types as homo- or heterogeneous. In future work we recommend an emphasis be placed on kinetic methods which provide an excellent platform for analysis. In addition two analytical techniques are described which if developed to run in situ with DA reactions would illuminate our understanding of the catalysis. Overall, we provide an entry point, and bring together the mature, yet poorly-understood, subject of heterogeneous catalysis with the rapidly expanding area of DA, with a view towards the acceleration of catalyst design and the understanding of catalyst behaviour.  相似文献
