数值计算具有自发辐射诱导相干性的开放V型三能级原子系统密度矩阵运动方程,分析无反转激光(LWI)增益的瞬态演化.结果表明:无论是否存在非相干抽运,探测场和驱动场间的相对位相(Ф)对增益的瞬态演化都有显著的影响;通过选择的取值可以获得更大的瞬态和稳定增益;不存在非相干抽运时,系统达到瞬态增益最大值及获得增益稳定值所需要的时间更长,演化过程中振荡幅度更大,获得的增益更大;原子退出速率r0(原子注入速率比S)的变化将使增益瞬态演化的具体过程发生改变,在r0(S)的一定取值范围内,瞬态和稳定增益随S(r0)的增大而增大.  相似文献

We discuss the transient and steady state behaviour of the self-pulsing instability of a bistable system using the dressed mode approach of Benza and Lugiato. This formalism, in a suitable limit, is shown to afford an exact adiabatic elimination of the atomic modes, and to lead to explicit and manageable equations of motion describing the evolution of the transmitted radiation. In steady state, the self-pulsing solutions display first and second order phase transition-type behavior. A higher bifurcation of the Hopf type, where the self-pulsing becomes unstable, is also identified, and the accompanying unstable limit cycle is displayed by integrating the equations of motion backward in time.  相似文献

We construct a prototypical example of a spatially-open autonomous Hamiltonian system in which localised, but otherwise unbiased, ensembles of initial conditions break spatio-temporal symmetries in the subsequent ensemble dynamics, despite time reversal symmetry of the equations of motion. Together with transient chaos, this provides the mechanism for the occurrence of a current. Transporting trajectories pass through transient chaos and subsequently cross surfaces of no-return, after which they perform solely regular motion so that the current is of continual ballistic nature.  相似文献

We study field-driven domain wall (DW) motion in nanowires with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy using finite element micromagnetic simulations. Edge roughness is introduced by deforming the finite element mesh, and we vary the correlation length and magnitude of the roughness deformation separately. We observe the Walker breakdown both with and without roughness, with steady DW motion for applied fields below the critical Walker field H(c), and oscillatory motion for larger fields. The value of H(c) is not altered in the presence of roughness. The edge roughness introduces a depinning field. During the transient process of depinning, from the initial configuration to steady DW motion, the DW velocity is significantly reduced in comparison to that for a wire without roughness. The asymptotic DW velocity, on the other hand, is virtually unaffected by the roughness, even though the magnetization reacts to the edge distortions during the entire course of motion, both above and below the Walker breakdown. A moving DW can become pinned again at some later point ('dynamic pinning'). Dynamic pinning is a stochastic process and is observed both for small fields below H(c) and for fields of any strength above H(c). In the latter case, where the DW shows oscillatory motion and the magnetization in the DW rotates in the film plane, pinning can only occur at positions where the DW reverses direction and the instantaneous velocity is zero, i.e., at the beginning or in the middle of a positional oscillation cycle. In our simulations pinning was only observed at the beginnings of cycles, where the magnetization is pointing along the wire. The depinning field depends linearly on the magnitude of the edge roughness. The strongest pinning fields are observed for roughness correlation lengths that match the domain wall width.  相似文献

The effect of parallel misalignment on the lateral and torsional responses of two rotating shafts (Jeffcott rotors) is examined with theoretical and numerical analysis. The general equations of motion are derived and given in dimensionless form to represent the general case. The equations of motion revealed that parallel misalignment couples the translation and angular deflections through the stiffness matrix and the force vector. The non-linear equations are solved numerically using a combination of Newmark and Newton-Raphson methods to determine the dimensionless frequency and transient responses in terms of misalignment magnitude. The numerical results show that the system natural frequencies are excited at transient condition due to the presence of pure parallel misalignment. At steady state condition, the 1×-rotational speed excitation is present in the translation and angular directions, which indicates that parallel misalignment can be a source of both torsional and lateral excitations.  相似文献

In this paper, the axisymmetric dynamic behavior and snap-through buckling of thin elastic shallow spherical shells under harmonic excitation is investigated. Based on Marguerre kinematical assumptions, the governing partial differential equations of motion for a pre-loaded cap are presented in the form of a compatibility equation and a transverse motion equation. The continuous model is reduced to a finite degree of freedom system using the Galerkin method and a Fourier-Bessel approach. Results show that pre-loaded shells may exhibit co-existing stable equilibrium states and that with the application of sufficiently large dynamic loads the structure escapes from the well corresponding to pre-buckling configurations to another. This escape load may be much lower than the corresponding quasi-static buckling load. Indeed, complex resonances can occur until the system snaps-through, often signalling the loss of stability. As parameters are slowly varied, steady state instabilities may occur; these can include jumps to resonance, subharmonic period-doubling bifurcations, cascades to chaos, etc. Moreover a sudden pulse of excitation may lead to a transient failure of the system. In this paper, we examine how spherical caps under harmonic loading may be assessed in an engineering context, with a view to design against steady state instabilities as well as the various modes of transient failure. Steady state and transient stability boundaries are presented in which special attention is devoted to the determination of the critical load conditions. From this theoretical analysis, dynamic buckling criteria can be properly established which may constitute a consistent and rational basis for design of these shell structures under harmonic loading.  相似文献

An experimental demonstration of electrical detection of coherent spin motion of weakly coupled, localized electron spins in thin fullerene C60 films at room temperature is presented. Pulsed electrically detected magnetic resonance experiments on vertical photocurrents through Al/C(60)/ZnO samples showed that an electron spin Rabi oscillation is reflected by transient current changes. The nature of possible microscopic mechanisms responsible for this spin to charge conversion as well as its implications for the readout of endohedral fullerene (N@C(60)) spin qubits are discussed.  相似文献

We obtained an exact solution for a uniformly accelerated Unruh–DeWitt detector interacting with a massless scalar field in (3 + 1) dimensions which enables us to study the entire evolution of the total system, from the initial transient to late-time steady state. We find that the conventional transition probability of the detector from its initial ground state to excited states, as derived from time-dependent perturbation theory over an infinitely long duration of interaction, is valid only in the transient stage and is invalid for cases with proper acceleration smaller than the damping constant. We also found that, unlike in (1 + 1)D results, the (3 + 1)D uniformly accelerated Unruh– DeWitt detector in a steady state does emit a positive radiated power of quantum nature at late-times, but it is not connected to the thermal radiance experienced by the detector in the Unruh effect proper.  相似文献

Inspired by recent experiments of molecular motors, a dynamical systems model for a flexible machine is proposed which converts injected energy to output directional motion. The output amount is distributed broadly, and thus the coupling between input energy and output motion is loose, as in the experiments. This energy conversion is shown to be robust against the change of surrounding environment. Stability analysis on the fixed point solutions of the model is presented, which suggests that transient chaotic motion, induced by temporal three-body motion, is relevant to the energy conversion.  相似文献

The transient response of droplet deformation in a steady electric field is investigated by the numerical simulation and the motion of interface is captured by level-set method. The numerical scheme is validated and found to be in good agreement with classic analytical solutions. The effects of electric field intensity, interfacial tension, oil viscosity and droplet size on the transient deformation process are systematically discussed. The numerical results show that electric field intensity can accelerate the deformation of the droplet, while interfacial tension and oil viscosity damp it. Furthermore, the relation between electric capillary number and dimensionless deformation time is obtained.  相似文献

Theoretical analysis of the steady state vibrational motion of a multi-degree of freedom system equipped with an impact damper is presented. The analysis is based on the assumption that two generally distributed impacts occur in each cycle. The theory is applied to the special case of a single degree of freedom main system and the effects of various parameters are investigated. The theoretically possible modes of steady state motion with two impacts/cycle and with no impacts are predicted. The non-linear behaviour of the damper is manifested by the existence of as many as three modes of steady state motion for a given exciting frequency. The conditions leading to more or less than two impacts/cycle are predicted although the system response under such conditions is not studied. Experimental results are presented and compared with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The control problems of chaotic systems are investigated in the presence of parametric uncertainty and persistent external disturbances based on nonlinear control theory. By using a designed nonlinear compensator mechanism, the system deterministic nonlinearity, parametric uncertainty and disturbance effect can be compensated effectively. The renowned chaotic Lorenz system subjected to parametric variations and external disturbances is studied as an illustrative example. From the Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions for choosing control parameters to guarantee chaos control are derived. Several experiments are carried out, including parameter change experiments, set-point change experiments and disturbance experiments. Simulation results indicate that the chaotic motion can be regulated not only to steady states but also to any desired periodic orbits with great immunity to parametric variations and external disturbances.  相似文献

The differences in texture and motion between man-made object and natural scene are the key features for human biological visual system to detect moving object in scenery. The paper proposed a moving target detection approach based on spatio-temporal perception, which is a crucial function of the visual attention mechanism. The spatial feature including edge, orientation, texture and contrast of the image are extracted, and then the corresponding spatial salient map are constructed by fusing the features through difference of Gaussian (DOG) function, which can suppress the common and enhance the difference of local region. Then, the global motion, local motion and relative motion between continuous images are extracted by means of pyramid multi-resolution, and the moving salient map is constructed after the motion difference between moving target and background is confirmed. Finally, the spatio-temporal salient map is constructed by fusing the spatial salient map and the moving salient map through competition strategy, and the moving target could be detected by searching the maximum in the spatio-temporal salient map. Some experiments are included and the results show that the method can accurately detect the moving target in complex background.  相似文献

The effect of very high-frequency excitation on the slow dynamics of a class of non-linearly damped mechanical oscillators is considered. Two different models of damping namely, piecewise linear and pth power damping are considered. Fast excitation is modelled as triangular, sinusoidal and random base excitation. The effect of fast excitation is theoretically analyzed using the method of direct partition of motion (MDPM) and direct simulation. The method of numerical averaging is also used, where damping characteristics or excitations are not amenable to analytical techniques. Fast excitation has the non-trivial effect of increasing and decreasing the low-velocity damping of hard and soft dampers, respectively. The effect of fast excitation on the transient and steady state slow dynamics of the system is investigated by direct numerical integration of the equation of motion.  相似文献

This paper presents and briefly discusses recent observations of dynamics associated with isolated generalized bipolar transistor cells. A mathematical model of this simple system is considered on the highest level of abstraction such that it comprises many different network topologies. The key property of the analyzed structure is its bias point since the transistor is modeled via two-port admittance parameters. A necessary but not sufficient condition for the evolution of autonomous complex behavior is the nonlinear bilateral nature of the transistor with arbitrary reason that causes this effect. It is proved both by numerical analysis and experimental measurement that chaotic motion is miscellaneous, robust, and it is neither numerical artifact nor long transient motion.  相似文献

应用全量子理论和数值分析的方法研究了在双模光场与运动的V型三能级原子相互作用过程中,原子运动对双模场压缩的影响。结果表明,当初始光场处于非关联双模相干态时,只有光场的第一正交分量被压缩,压缩程度随着原子运动与场模结构参数的增大而增大。另一方面,当初始光场处于双模压缩真空态时,主要是光场的第二正交分量被压缩,并且通过适当选择原子运动与场模结构参数,能够获得稳定的压缩光。  相似文献

A mathematical model has been developed to study the effect of magnetic field on steady and pulsatile motion of blood through a small, rigid, circular tube by microcontinuum approach.
