Let ℬ be a Banach space of analytic functions defined on the open unit disk. We characterize the commutant ofM Z 2 (the operator of multiplication by the square of independent variable defined on ℬ) and show that for an operatorS in the commutantM Z 2 ifSM Z 2k+1M Z 2k+1 S is compact for some nonnegative integerk, thenS=M ϕ whereϕ is a multiplier of ℬ. Letn be a positive integer andS be an operator in the commutant ofM Z n defined on a functional Hilbert spaces of analytic functions. We show that under certain conditionsS has the formM ϕ. In this note we continue the study of spectral properties of a self-adjoint analytic operator function A(z) that was started in [5]. It is shown that if A(z) satisfies the Virozub–Matsaev condition on some interval Δ0 and is boundedly invertible in the endpoints of Δ0, then the ‘embedding’ of the original Hilbert space into the Hilbert space , where the linearization of A(z) acts, is in fact an isomorphism between a subspace of and . As a consequence, properties of the local spectral function of A(z) on Δ0 and a so-called inner linearization of the operator function A(z) in the subspace are established.   相似文献

Given a Banach space operator with interior points in the localizable spectrum and without non-trivial divisible subspaces, this article centers around the construction of an infinite-dimensional linear subspace of vectors at which the local resolvent function of the operator is bounded and even admits a continuous extension to the closure of its natural domain. As a consequence, it is shown that, for any measure with natural spectrum on a locally compact abelian group, the corresponding operator of convolution on the group algebra admits a non-zero bounded local resolvent function precisely when its spectrum has non-empty interior. The continuity of the differentiation operator on weighted Banach spaces of entire functions with sup-norm has been characterized recently by Harutyunyan and Lusky. We give necessary and sufficient conditions to ensure that the differentiation operator on these weighted Banach spaces of entire functions is hypercyclic or chaotic, when it is continuous. The paper considers a class of matrix-functions defined on some contour in the complex plane that have meromorphic continuations in the interior or exterior domain of that contour. These matrix-functions generally do not admit Wiener-Hopf standard factorization. The paper studies the problem of index factorization, which is a version of Wiener-Hopf factorization. Some criterions for index factorization and exact formulas for particular indices are found along with a constructive method which applies the factorization to solution of an explicit, finite system of linear algebraic equations.  相似文献

After a short introduction where a few main notions and results are recalled, we state some results connected with generated and L-type pseudoresolvents. Among others, we give theorems of characterization both for L-type pseudoresolvents and for their generators. The relation between L-type pseudoresolvents and C0-equicontinuous semigroups is also pointed out. The last part of the present paper is devoted to approximation of pseudoresolvents and their generators. If are generated pseudoresolvents and An, A their generators, we investigate conditions under which A is approximated by An and R is approximated by Rn, n ≥ 1. In addition, we give conditions under which a sequence of generated pseudoresolvents approximates a pseudoresolvent, and in this case we study the connection between generators. In this paper we extend necessary conditions for Fredholmness of singular integral operators with piecewise continuous coefficients in rearrangement-invariant spaces [19] to the weighted caseX(,w). This article centers around the relation between the spectra of two Banach space operators that are linked by some intertwining condition such as quasi-similarity. Certain conditions from local spectral theory are shown to be both necessary and sufficient for these operators to have equal spectra, approximate point spectra, or surjectivity spectra. A key role is played by a localized version of Bishop’s classical property (β) and a related closed range condition. As an application to harmonic analysis, the measures on a locally compact abelian group that avoid the Wiener-Pitt phenomenon are characterized in terms of local spectral theory.  相似文献

Let A be a unital C*-algebra with non-zero socle (soc(A)). We introduce the essential conorm of an element a in A (denoted by γ e (a)), as the conorm of the element π(a), where π denotes the canonical projection of A onto . It is established that for every von Neumann regular element , γ e (a) = max . We characterize the continuity points of the conorm and essential conorm for extremally rich C*-algebras.
