Leavitt path algebras are shown to be algebras of right quotients of their corresponding path algebras. Using this fact we obtain maximal algebras of right quotients from those (Leavitt) path algebras whose associated graph satisfies that every vertex connects to a line point (equivalently, the Leavitt path algebra has essential socle). We also introduce and characterize the algebraic counterpart of Toeplitz algebras. 相似文献

We give necessary and sufficient conditions on a row-finite graph E so that the Leavitt path algebra L(E) is purely infinite simple. In this article we give a new technique for exponentiating infinite dimensional graded representations of graded Lie algebras that allows for the exponentiation of some non-locally nilpotent elements. Our technique is to naturally extend the representation of the Lie algebra g on the space V naturally to a representation on a subspace £ of the dual space V *. After introducing the technique, we prove that it enables the exponentiation of all elements of free Lie Algebras and afhne Kac-Moody Lie algebras. 相似文献

We give a new construction of the algebraic K-theory of small permutative categories that preserves multiplicative structure, and therefore allows us to give a unified treatment of rings, modules, and algebras in both the input and output. This requires us to define multiplicative structure on the category of small permutative categories. The framework we use is the concept of multicategory (elsewhere also called colored operad), a generalization of symmetric monoidal category that precisely captures the multiplicative structure we have present at all stages of the construction. Our method ends up in the Hovey-Shipley-Smith category of symmetric spectra, with an intermediate stop at a category of functors out of a particular wreath product. 相似文献

In this paper we introduce Martindale quotients of Jordan algebras over arbitrary rings of scalars with respect to denominator filters of ideals. Let S be the affine plane ${\mathbb C^2}$ together with an appropriate ${\mathbb T = \mathbb C^*}$ action. Let S [m,m+1] be the incidence Hilbert scheme. Parallel to Li and Qin (2007, Incidence Hilbert schemes and infinite dimensional Lie algebras, Hangzhou), we construct an infinite dimensional Lie algebra that acts on the direct sum $$\widetilde {\mathbb H}_{\mathbb T} = \bigoplus_{m=0}^{+\infty}H^{2(m+1)}_{\mathbb T}(S^{[m,m+1]})$$ of the middle-degree equivariant cohomology group of S [m,m+1]. The algebra is related to an infinite dimensional Heisenberg algebra. In addition, we study the transformations among three different linear bases of ${\widetilde {\mathbb H}_{\mathbb T}}$ . Our results are applied to the ring structure of the ordinary cohomology of S [m,m+1] and to the ring of symmetric functions in infinitely many variables. 相似文献
