We first study the growth properties of p-adic Lie groups and its connection with p-adic Lie groups of type R and prove that a non-type R p-adic Lie group has compact neighbourhoods of identity having exponential growth. This is applied to prove the growth dichotomy for a large class of p-adic Lie groups which includes p-adic algebraic groups. We next study p-adic Lie groups that admit recurrent random walks and prove the natural growth conjecture connecting growth and the existence of recurrent random walks, precisely we show that a p-adic Lie group admits a recurrent random walk if and only if it has polynomial growth of degree at most two. We prove this conjecture for some other classes of groups also. We also prove the Choquet-Deny Theorem for compactly generated p-adic Lie groups of polynomial growth and also show that polynomial growth is necessary and sufficient for the validity of the Choquet-Deny for all spread-out probabilities on Zariski-connected p-adic algebraic groups. Counter example is also given to show that certain assumptions made in the main results can not be relaxed.  相似文献

The present paper is devoted to the study of low dimensional Leibniz algebras over the field of p-adic numbers. The classification up to isomorphism of three-dimensional Lie algebras over the integer p-adic numbers is already known [8]. We carry out the Lie group classification of the generalized Lane–Emden equation xu+nu+xH(u)=0, which has many applications in mathematical physics and astrophysics. We show that the equation admits a three-dimensional equivalence Lie algebra. It is also shown that the principal Lie algebra, which in this case is trivial, has seven possible extensions. Three new cases arise for which the Lie point symmetry algebra is non-trivial. Comparison is then made of these cases with the Noether symmetry cases as well as the partial Noether operators.  相似文献

Calgero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff (CBS) equation is analytically solved through two successive reductions into an ordinary differential equation (ODE) through a set of optimal Lie vectors. During the second reduction step, CBS equation is reduced using hidden vectors. The resulting ODE is then analytically solved through the singular manifold method in three steps; First, a Bäcklund truncated series is obtained. Second, this series is inserted into the ODE, and finally, a seminal analysis leads to a Schwarzian differential equation in the eigenfunction φ(η). Solving this differential equation leads to new analytical solutions. Then, through two backward substitution steps, the original dependent variable is recovered. The obtained results are plotted for several Lie hidden vectors and compared with previous work on CBS equation using Lie transformations. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The concepts of prime Lie algebras and semiprime Lie algebras are important in the study of Lie algebras. The purpose of this paper is to investigate generalizations of these concepts to lattice ordered Lie algebras over partially ordered fields. Some results concerning the properties of l-prime and l-semiprime lattice ordered Lie algebras are obtained. A necessary and sufficient condition for a lattice ordered Lie algebra to be an l-prime Lie l-algebra is presented.  相似文献

In particular, W(??, ??,) is finite for any Cartan subalgebra h. The proof involves the embedding of 0 into the Lie algebra of a complex algebraic linear Lie group to which the structure theory of Lie algebras and algebraic groups is applied. If G is a real connected Lie group with Lie algebra ??, the normalizer N(??, G) acts on the finite set Λ of roots of the complexification ??c with respect to hc, giving a representation π : N(??, G)→ S(Λ) into the symmetric group on the set Λ. We call the kernel of this map the Cartan subgroup C(??) of G with respect to h; the image is isomorphic to W(??, ??), and C(??)= {g G : Ad(g)(h)— h ε [h,h] for all h ε h }. All concepts introduced and discussed reduce in special situations to the familiar ones. The information on the finiteness of the Weyl groups is applied to show that under very general circumstance, for b ∪ ?? the set ??? ?(b) remains finite as ? ranges through the full group of inner automorphisms of ??.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with Chern‐Ricci flow evolution of left‐invariant hermitian structures on Lie groups. We study the behavior of a solution, as t is approaching the first time singularity, by rescaling in order to prevent collapsing and obtain convergence in the pointed (or Cheeger‐Gromov) sense to a Chern‐Ricci soliton. We give some results on the Chern‐Ricci form and the Lie group structure of the pointed limit in terms of the starting hermitian metric and, as an application, we obtain a complete picture for the class of solvable Lie groups having a codimension one normal abelian subgroup. We have also found a Chern‐Ricci soliton hermitian metric on most of the complex surfaces which are solvmanifolds, including an unexpected shrinking soliton example.  相似文献

We classify deformations of the standard embedding of the Lie superalgebra $ \mathcal{K} $ \mathcal{K} (2) of contact vector fields on the (1, 2)-dimensional supercircle into the Lie superalgebra SΨD(S 1|2 ) of pseudodifferential operators on the supercircle S 1|2 .
