In this article, we implement relatively new analytical techniques, the variational iteration method and the Adomian decomposition method, for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. The two methods in applied mathematics can be used as alternative methods for obtaining analytic and approximate solutions for different types of fractional differential equations. In these schemes, the solution takes the form of a convergent series with easily computable components. Numerical results show that the two approaches are easy to implement and accurate when applied to partial differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

In this article, differential transform method (DTM) has been successfully applied to obtain the approximate analytical solutions of the nonlinear homogeneous and non-homogeneous gas dynamic equations, shock wave equation and shallow water equations with fractional order time derivatives. The true beauty of the article is manifested in its emphatic application of Caputo fractional order time derivative on the classical equations with the achievement of the highly accurate solutions by the known series solutions and even for more complicated nonlinear fractional partial differential equations (PDEs). The method is really capable of reducing the size of the computational work besides being effective and convenient for solving fractional nonlinear equations. Numerical results for different particular cases of the equations are depicted through graphs.  相似文献

In this work, we implement a relatively analytical technique, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM), for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order. The fractional derivatives are described in Caputo derivatives. This method can be used as an alternative to obtain analytic and approximate solutions of different types of fractional differential equations which applied in engineering mathematics. The corresponding solutions of the integer order equations are found to follow as special cases of those of fractional order equations. He’s homotopy perturbation method (HPM) which does not need small parameter is implemented for solving the differential equations. It is predicted that HPM can be found widely applicable in engineering.  相似文献

In this article, a novel numerical method is proposed for nonlinear partial differential equations with space- and time-fractional derivatives. This method is based on the two-dimensional differential transform method (DTM) and generalized Taylor's formula. The fractional derivatives are considered in the Caputo sense. Several illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the present method. Results obtained using the scheme presented here agree well with the analytical solutions and the numerical results presented elsewhere. Results also show that the numerical scheme is very effective and convenient for solving nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

The flow through porous media can be better described by fractional models than the classical ones since they include inherently memory effects caused by obstacles in the structures. The variational iteration method was extended to find approximate solutions of fractional differential equations with the Caputo derivatives, but the Lagrange multipliers of the method were not identified explicitly. In this paper, the Lagrange multiplier is determined in a more accurate way and some new variational iteration formulae are presented.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss a new general formulation of fractional optimal control problems whose performance index is in the fractional integral form and the dynamics are given by a set of fractional differential equations in the Caputo sense. The approach we use to prove necessary conditions of optimality in the form of Pontryagin maximum principle for fractional nonlinear optimal control problems is new in this context. Moreover, a new method based on a generalization of the Mittag–Leffler function is used to solving this class of fractional optimal control problems. A simple example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of our main result. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The block-by-block method, proposed by Linz for a kind of Volterra integral equations with nonsingular kernels, and extended by Kumar and Agrawal to a class of initial value problems of fractional differential equations (FDEs) with Caputo derivatives, is an efficient and stable scheme. We analytically prove and numerically verify that this method is convergent with order at least 3 for any fractional order index $\alpha>0$.  相似文献

The variational iteration method and the homotopy analysis method, as alternative methods, have been widely used to handle linear and nonlinear models. The main property of the methods is their flexibility and ability to solve nonlinear equations accurately and conveniently. This paper deals with the numerical solutions of nonlinear fractional differential equations, where the fractional derivatives are considered in Caputo sense. The main aim is to introduce efficient algorithms of variational iteration and homotopy analysis methods that can be simply used to deal with nonlinear fractional differential equations. In these algorithms, Legendre polynomials are effectively implemented to achieve better approximation for the nonhomogeneous and nonlinear terms that leads to facilitate the computational work. The proposed algorithms are capable of reducing the size of calculations, improving the accuracy and easily overcome the difficulty arising in calculating complicated integrals. Numerical examples are examined to show the efficiency of the algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper, the modified fractional reduced differential transform method (MFRDTM) has been proposed and it is implemented for solving fractional KdV (Korteweg-de Vries) equations. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense. In this paper, the reduced differential transform method is modified to be easily employed to solve wide kinds of nonlinear fractional differential equations. In this new approach, the nonlinear term is replaced by its Adomian polynomials. Thus the nonlinear initial-value problem can be easily solved with less computational effort. In order to show the power and effectiveness of the present modified method and to illustrate the pertinent features of the solutions, several fractional KdV equations with different types of nonlinearities are considered. The results reveal that the proposed method is very effective and simple for obtaining approximate solutions of fractional KdV equations.  相似文献

This paper presents a new method for validating existence and uniqueness of the solution of an initial value problems for fractional differential equations. An algorithm selecting a stepsize and computing a priori constant enclosure of the solution is proposed. Several illustrative examples, with linear and nonlinear fractional differential equations, are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.  相似文献

In this work, an improved version of the fractional variational iteration method is presented, for solving fractional initial value problems. The nonlinear terms of fractional differential equations are linearized via the famous Adomian series. The fractional differential functions are employed in the numerical simulation. Two examples are given as illustrations.  相似文献

Stability analysis of nonlinear fractional differential systems has been an open problem since the 1990s of the last century. Apparently, Lyapunov’s second method seems to be invalid for nonlinear fractional differential systems (equations). In this paper, we are concerned with this open problem and have solved it partly. Based on Lyapunov’s second method, a novel stability criterion for a class of nonlinear fractional differential system is derived. Our result is simple, global and theoretically rigorous. The conditions to guarantee the stability of the nonlinear fractional differential system are convenient for testing. Compared with the stability criteria in the literature, our criterion is straightforward and suitable for application. Several examples are provided to illustrate the applications of our result.  相似文献

In this article, the sub‐equation method is presented for finding the exact solutions of a nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. For this, the fractional complex transformation method has been used to convert fractional‐order partial differential equation to ordinary differential equation. The fractional derivatives are described in Jumarie's the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. We apply to this method for the nonlinear time fractional differential equations. With the aid of symbolic computation, a variety of exact solutions for them are obtained. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of nonlinear fractional order differential impulsive systems with Hadamard derivative is discussed. First, a reasonable concept on the solutions of fractional impulsive Cauchy problems with Hadamard derivative and the corresponding fractional integral equations are established. Second, two fundamental existence results are presented by using standard fixed point methods. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate our theoretical results.  相似文献

The article, being a continuation of the first one [A.A. Kilbas and J.J. Trujillo (2001). Differential equations of fractional order. Methods, results and problems, I. Applicable Analysis , 78 (1-2), 153-192.], deals with the so-called differential equations of fractional order in which an unknown function is contained under the operation of a derivative of fractional order. The methods and the results in the theory of such fractional differential equations are presented including the Dirichlet-type problem for ordinary fractional differential equations, studying such equations in spaces of generalized functions, partial fractional differential equations and more general abstract equations, and treatment of numerical methods for ordinary and partial fractional differential equations. Problems and new trends of research are discussed.  相似文献

The work presents an adaptation of iteration method for solving a class of thirst order partial nonlinear differential equation with mixed derivatives. The class of partial differential equations present here is not solvable with neither the method of Green function, the most usual iteration methods for instance variational iteration method, homotopy perturbation method and Adomian decomposition method, nor integral transform for instance Laplace,Sumudu, Fourier and Mellin transform. We presented the stability and convergence of the used method for solving this class of nonlinear chaotic equations.Using the proposed method, we obtained exact solutions to this kind of equations.  相似文献

In this article, the homotopy analysis method is applied to solve nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. On the basis of the homotopy analysis method, a scheme is developed to obtain the approximate solution of the fractional KdV, K(2,2), Burgers, BBM‐Burgers, cubic Boussinesq, coupled KdV, and Boussinesq‐like B(m,n) equations with initial conditions, which are introduced by replacing some integer‐order time derivatives by fractional derivatives. The homotopy analysis method for partial differential equations of integer‐order is directly extended to derive explicit and numerical solutions of the fractional partial differential equations. The solutions of the studied models are calculated in the form of convergent series with easily computable components. The results of applying this procedure to the studied cases show the high accuracy and efficiency of the new technique. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Purpose In this article, a novel computational method is introduced for solving the fractional nonlinear oscillator differential equations on the semi‐infinite domain. The purpose of the proposed method is to get better and more accurate results. Design/methodology/approach The proposed method is the combination of the sine‐cosine wavelets and Picard technique. The operational matrices of fractional‐order integration for sine‐cosine wavelets are derived and constructed. Picard technique is used to convert the fractional nonlinear oscillator equations into a sequence of discrete fractional linear differential equations. Operational matrices of sine‐cosine wavelets are utilized to transformed the obtained sequence of discrete equations into the systems of algebraic equations and the solutions of algebraic systems lead to the solution of fractional nonlinear oscillator equations. Findings The convergence and supporting analysis of the method are investigated. The operational matrices contains many zero entries, which lead to the high efficiency of the method, and reasonable accuracy is achieved even with less number of collocation points. Our results are in good agreement with exact solutions and more accurate as compared with homotopy perturbation method, variational iteration method, and Adomian decomposition method. Originality/value Many engineers can utilize the presented method for solving their nonlinear fractional models.  相似文献

The fractional derivatives in the sense of Caputo, and the homotopy perturbation method are used to construct approximate solutions for nonlinear Kolmogorov–Petrovskii–Piskunov (KPP) equations with respect to time and space fractional derivatives. Also, we apply complex transformation to convert a time and space fractional nonlinear KPP equation to an ordinary differential equation and use the homotopy perturbation method to calculate the approximate solution. This method is efficient and powerful in solving wide classes of nonlinear evolution fractional order equations.  相似文献
