The reactions of iron(II) complexes [Fe(T(pt-Bu,i-Pr))(OH)] (1a, Tp(t-Bu,i-Pr) = hydrotris(3-tert-butyl-5-isopropyl-1-pyrazolyl)borate), [Fe(6-Me2BPMCN)(OTf)2] (1b, 6-Me2BPMCN = N,N'-bis((2-methylpyridin-6-yl)methyl)-N,N'-dimethyl-trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane), and [Fe(L8Py2)(OTf)](OTf) (1c, L8Py2 = 1,5-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-1,5-diazacyclooctane) with tert-BuOOH give rise to high-spin FeIII-OOR complexes. X-ray absorption spectra (XAS) of these high-spin species show characteristic features, distinct from those of low-spin Fe-OOR complexes (Rohde, J.-U.; et al. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2004, 126, 16750-16761). These include (1) an intense 1s --> 3d preedge feature, with an area around 20 units, (2) an edge energy, ranging from 7122 to 7126 eV, that is affected by the coordination environment, and (3) a 1.86-1.96 A Fe-OOR bond, compared to the 1.78 A Fe-OOR bond in low-spin complexes. These unique features likely arise from a flexible first coordination sphere in those complexes. The difference in Fe-OOR bond length may rationalize differences in reactivity between low-spin and high-spin FeIII-OOR species.  相似文献

The complex [Fe(IV)O(N4Py)]2+ (N4Py = N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-bis(2-pyridyl)methylamine) has been prepared by bulk electrolysis in aqueous CH3CN and CH2Cl2, and its redox properties characterized. Bulk chronocoulometry and spectropotentiometry experiments in CH3CN show that [Fe(II)(N4Py)(NCCH3)]2+ can be oxidized quantitatively to its iron(III) derivative at an applied potential of +0.71 V vs ferrocene and then to the oxoiron(IV) complex (in the presence of added water) at potentials above +1.3 V. The E1/2 value for the Fe(IV/III) couple has been estimated to be +0.90 V from spectropotentiometric titrations in CH3CN and cyclic voltammetric measurements in CH2Cl2.  相似文献

Nonheme and heme iron monooxygenases participate in oxidative N-dealkylation reactions in nature, and high-valent oxoiron(IV) species have been invoked as active oxidants that effect the oxygenation of organic substrates. The present study describes the first example of the oxidative N-dealkylation of N,N-dialkylamines by synthetic nonheme oxoiron(IV) complexes and the reactivity comparisons of nonheme and heme oxoiron(IV) complexes. Detailed mechanistic studies were performed with various N,N-dialkylaniline substrates such as para-substituted N,N-dimethylanilines, para-chloro-N-ethyl-N-methylaniline, para-chloro-N-cyclopropyl-N-isopropylaniline, and deuteriated N,N-dimethylanilines. The results of a linear free-energy correlation, inter- and intramolecular kinetic isotope effects, and product analysis studied with the mechanistic probes demonstrate that the oxidative N-dealkylation reactions by nonheme and heme oxoiron(IV) complexes occur via an electron transfer-proton transfer (ET-PT) mechanism.  相似文献

The stoichiometric formation of [FeIV(O)(TPA)(NCMe)]2+ (TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine) from the reaction of [FeII(TPA)(NCMe)2]2+ with 1 equiv. peracetic acid exhibits more kinetic complexity than might be expected from the simple stoichiometry. A multiple-pathway mechanism with an FeIV-peracetic acid species, [(TPA)FeIV(O)((H)O3CR)]2+/+, as the primary oxidant is proposed.  相似文献

The class Ic ribonucleotide reductase from Chlamydia trachomatis ( Ct) uses a stable Mn(IV)/Fe(III) cofactor to initiate nucleotide reduction by a free-radical mechanism. Extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) calculations are used to postulate a structure for this cofactor. Fe and Mn K-edge EXAFS data yield an intermetallic distance of approximately 2.92 A. The Mn data also suggest the presence of a short 1.74 A Mn-O bond. These metrics are compared to the results of DFT calculations on 12 cofactor models derived from the crystal structure of the inactive Fe 2(III/III) form of the protein. Models are differentiated by the protonation states of their bridging and terminal OH X ligands as well as the location of the Mn(IV) ion (site 1 or 2). The models that agree best with experimental observation feature a mu-1,3-carboxylate bridge (E120), terminal solvent (H 2O/OH) to site 1, one mu-O bridge, and one mu-OH bridge. The site-placement of the metal ions cannot be discerned from the available data.  相似文献

Transparent glasses were synthesized in the NaPO3-BaF2-WO3 ternary system and several structural characterizations were performed by X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XANES) at the tungsten LI and LIII absorption edges and by Raman spectroscopy. Special attention was paid to the coordination state of tungsten atoms in the vitreous network.XANES investigations showed that tungsten atoms are only six-fold coordinated (octahedra WO6) and that these glasses are free of tungstate tetrahedra (WO4).In addition, Raman spectroscopy allowed to identify a break in the linear phosphate chains as the amount of WO3 increases and the formation of P-O-W bonds in the vitreous network indicating the modifier behavior of WO6 octahedra in the glass network. Based on XANES data, we suggested a new attribution of several Raman absorption bands which allowed to identify the presence of W-O and WO terminal bonds and a progressive apparition of W-O-W bridging bonds for the most WO3 concentrated samples (?30% molar) due to the formation of WO6 clusters.  相似文献

The structure of the very strong solid Lewis acid aluminum chlorofluoride (ACF, AlCl(x)F(3-x), x = 0.05-0.3) was studied by IR, ESR, Cl K XANES, (19)F MAS NMR, and (27)Al SATRAS NMR spectroscopic methods and compared with amorphous aluminum fluoride conventionally prepared by dehydration of alpha-AlF(3) x 3H(2)O. The thermal behavior of both compounds was investigated by DTA and XRD. In comparison to ACF, amorphous AlF(3) prepared in a conventional way is not catalytically active for the isomerization reaction of 1,2-dibromohexafluoropropane, which requires a very strong Lewis acid. Both compounds are mainly built up of corner-sharing AlF(6) octahedra forming a random network. The degree of disorder in ACF is higher than in amorphous AlF(3). Terminal fluorine atoms were detected in ACF by (19)F NMR. The chlorine in ACF does not exist as a separate, crystalline AlCl(3) phase. Additionally, chlorine-containing radicals, remaining from the synthesis, are trapped in cavities of ACF. These radicals are stable at room temperature but do not take part in the catalytic reaction.  相似文献

Nickel oxide nanowires modified by poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) were synthesized via a simple chemical pattern. For the first time NiO nanowires with diameters ranging from 40 to 100 nm with the expected ratio (length vs diameter) ranging from 54 to 90 were grown using a simple solution-phase approach (mild method). These nickel nanowires exhibited unique photoluminescence features and displayed a significant UV luminescence. X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy has been used to characterize the local Ni environment and identify the electronic structure. Comparing experimental and theoretical spectra at the Ni and O K edges, we determine the lattice distortion via the analysis of the characteristic preedge features and the multiple-scattering structures detected in the X-ray absorption near-edge structure spectra. The correlation between experimental features and the disordered or distorted local structures is also discussed.  相似文献
