Ternary complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with indole-2-carboxylic acid (A) and 4-substituted hydrazinethiocarbamide (L) [4-phenylhydrazinethiocarbamide (L1), 4-benzylhydrazinethiocarbamide (L2) and 4-(2-propenyl)hydrazinethiocarbamide (L3)] were prepared. The structures of the complexes were proposed by molar conductance, electronic, IR, 1H NMR, mass spectra as well as thermogravimetric (TG) studies. An octahedral structure is suggested for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) ternary complexes.  相似文献

Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are synthesized with thiosemicarbazone (L(1)) and semicarbazone (L(2)) derived from pyrole-2-carboxyaldehyde. These complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies .The molar conductance measurements of the complexes in DMSO correspond to non-electrolytic nature except Co(L1)2(NO3)2 and Ni(L1)2(NO3)2 complexes which are 1:2 electrolytes. All the complexes are of high-spin type. On the basis of spectral studies an octahedral geometry may be assigned for Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes except Co(L1)2(NO3)2 and Ni(L1)2(NO3)2 which are of tetrahedral geometry. A tetragonal geometry may be suggested for Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes were synthesized with thiosemicarbazone (L(1)) and semicarbazone (L(2)) derived from 2-acetyl furan. These complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurement of the complexes in DMSO corresponds to non-electrolytic nature. All the complexes are of high-spin type. On the basis of different spectral studies six coordinated geometry may be assigned for all the complexes except Co(L)(2)(SO(4)) and Cu(L)(2)(SO(4)) [where L=L(1) and L(2)] which are of five coordinated square pyramidal geometry.  相似文献

In this study, we synthesized the amine compound 2-(2-aminoethyliminomethyl)phenol (H(3)A) as the starting material, and then we prepared the polydentate Schiff base ligands from the reactions of the amine compound (H(3)A) with phtaldialdehyde (H(2)L), 4-methyl-2,6-di-formlyphenol (H(3)L(1)) and 4-t-butyl-2,6-di-formylphenol (H(3)L(2)) in the ethanol solution. Moreover, the complexes Cd(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Sn(II) of the ligands H(2)L, H(3)L(1) and H(3)L(2) have been prepared. All compounds have been characterized by the analytical and spectroscopic methods. In addition, the magnetic susceptibility and molar conductance measurements have been made. The catalytic properties of the mono- and binuclear Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been studied on the 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol (3,5-DTBC) and ascorbic acid (aa) as a substrate. The oxidative C-C coupling properties of the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been investigated on the sterically hindered 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol (dtbp). The antimicrobial activity properties of the ligands and their mono- and binuclear complexes have been studied against the bacteria and fungi. The results have been compared to the antibacterial and fungi drugs. The TGA curves show that the decomposition takes place in three steps for all complexes. Electrochemical properties of the complexes Cu(II) and Ni(II) have been investigated for the first time in acetonitrile by cyclic voltammetry.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of salicylidene-N-cyano-acetohydrazone H2L1 and 2-hydroxy-l-naphthylidene-N-cyanoacetohydrazone H2L2 have been prepared in ethanolic solution and characterized by analytical, spectral, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity and TGA measurements. The analytical data show that all the complexes derived from H2L1 and H2L2 are formed in molar ratios 1M:2L, except the complexes of Mn(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) acetates of H2L2 and the complexes of Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) acetates and CuCl2 of H2L1 are formed in 1:1 molar ratios. The conductance data show that all metal complexes are non-electrolytes. Electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements proved that the prepared complexes have octahedral configuration except [Co(HL2)OAc] which has tetrahedral structure. The ligand field parameters were calculated for the Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes and the data show that the covalent character of the metal ligand sigma-bond is low. The ESR parameters of the Cu(II) complexes at room temperature were calculated. Thermal TGA for some solid complexes are reported.  相似文献

Potentiometric and spectrophotometric studies on Semi-Methylthymol Blue (SMTB or H(4)L) have been performed. The acid-base and Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)-ligand reaction stoichiometries were determined, and the formation constants of the corresponding proton and metal complexes, and the molar absorptivities were calculated. Evidence was found for the formation of 1:1 Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes, and 1:1 and 1:2 Zn(II) complexes. Cu(II) formed the hydroxo-complex, Cu(OH)L(3-), but no hydroxo-complexes of the other metal ions were observed. Suggestions are made concerning the probable structure of the complexes.  相似文献

A new asymmetric Salamo‐based ligand H2L was synthesized using 3‐tertbutyl‐salicylaldehyde and 6‐methoxy‐2‐[O‐(1‐ethyloxyamide)]‐oxime‐1‐phenol. By adjusting the ratio of the ligand H2L and Cu (II), Co (II), and Ni (II) ions, mononuclear, dinuclear, and trinuclear transition metal (II) complexes, [Cu(L)], [{Co(L)}2], and [{Ni(L)(CH3COO)(CH3CH2OH)}2Ni] with the ligand H2L possessing completely different coordination modes were obtained, respectively. The optical spectra of ligand H2L and its Cu (II), Co (II) and Ni (II) complexes were investigated. The Cu (II) complex is a mononuclear structure, and the Cu (II) atom is tetracoordinated to form a planar quadrilateral structure. The Co (II) complex is dinuclear, and the two Co (II) atoms are pentacoordinated and have coordination geometries of distorted triangular bipyramid. The Ni (II) complex is a trinuclear structure, and the terminal and central Ni (II) atoms are all hexacoordinated, forming distorted octahedral geometries. Furthermore, optical properties including UV–Vis, IR, and fluorescence of the Cu (II), Co (II), and Ni (II) complexes were investigated. Finally, the antibacterial activities of the Cu (II), Co (II), and Ni (II) complexes were explored. According to the experimental results, the inhibitory effect was found to be enhanced with increasing concentrations of the Cu (II), Co (II), and Ni (II) complexes.  相似文献

An N(4) tetradentate [1 + 1] Schiff base metal free macrocycle HL was prepared, by 1?:?1 condensation of 2,2'-iminobisbenzaldehyde (1) and diethylenetriamine, and characterised. Seven mononuclear complexes, [Zn(II)L(py)](BF(4)) (2), [Cu(II)L](BF(4))]·H(2)O (3), [Ni(II)L](BF(4))·H(2)O (4), [Co(II)L](BF(4))]·H(2)O (5), Fe(III)L(BF(4))(2)·2H(2)O·MeCN (6), [Co(III)L(NCS)(2)]·0.3py (7) and [Fe(III)L(NCS)(2)] (8), of L(-) are reported. The Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes were prepared by a template approach whereas the others were accessed by metallation of pre-formed HL. The X-ray crystal structure determinations show that [Cu(II)L](BF(4)) and [Ni(II)L](BF(4)) feature square planar N(4) coordinated Cu(II) and Ni(II) centres, respectively, whereas [Fe(III)L(NCS)(2)]·NO(2)Me features an octahedral N(6) coordinated Fe(III) centre (two NCS anions bound axially) and the Zn(II) complex, which crystallised as 2{[Zn(II)L(py)](BF(4))}·py, features square pyramidal Zn(II) ions (a pyridine molecule bound axially). In all cases the N(4) macrocycle is bound equatorially to the metal ion. Cyclic voltammograms of the soluble BF(4) complexes, 2-5, were carried out in MeCN vs. 0.01 mol L(-1) AgNO(3)/Ag and revealed multiple, mostly irreversible or quasi-reversible, redox processes. The Zn(II) complex 2 exhibited two irreversible oxidation processes and one irreversible reduction process, all of which are ligand-centered. The Ni(II) complex 4 showed a process with a weak return wave at E(m) = +0.57 V (ΔE = 0.05 V). Interestingly, after controlled potential coulometry experiments on 2, 3 and 4 (at +0.48, +0.61 and +0.71 V which transferred 1.2, 1.0 and 1.6 e(-) equiv. per complex, respectively), a new reversible or quasi-reversible process was obtained, with a lower potential than beforehand (E(m) (ΔE)/V = +0.16 (0.08), +0.31 (0.13) and +0.45 (0.11) respectively).  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes of 2-methylcyclohexanone thiosemicarbazone(MCHTSC L(1)) and 2-methylcyclohexanone-(4)N-methyl-3-thiosemicarbazone (MCHMTSC L(2)), general composition [M(L)(2)X(2)] (where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), L = L(1) or L(2) and X = Cl(-), NO(3)(-), and [(1/2)SO(4)(2-)) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, UV-vis, IR, EPR, and mass spectral studies. Various physico-chemical techniques suggest an octahedral geometry for all the complexes.  相似文献

Schiff base tetraazamacrocyclic ligand, L (C(40)H(28)N(4)) and its complexes of types, [MLX(2)] and [CuL]X(2) (M=Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II); X=Cl(-), NO(3)(-)) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, mass, (1)H NMR, IR, UV-vis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductance data. An octahedral geometry has been proposed for all the complexes except the copper(II) complexes which have a square planar environment. The reducing power of the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been checked and compared. The ligand (L) and its complexes have also been screened against different fungi and bacteria in vitro.  相似文献

The ligand 1,4,7-tris(acetophenoneoxime)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane (H(3)L) has been synthesized and its coordination properties toward Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), and Mn(II) in the presence of air have been investigated. Copper(II) yields a mononuclear complex, [Cu(H(2)L)](ClO(4)) (1), cobalt(II) and manganese(II) ions yield mixed-valence Co(III)(2)Co(II) (2a) and Mn(II)(2)Mn(III) (4) complexes, whereas nickel(II) produces a tetranuclear [Ni(4)(HL)(3)](2+) (3) complex. The complexes have been structurally, magnetochemically, and spectroscopically characterized. Complex 3, a planar trigonal-shaped tetranuclear Ni(II) species, exhibits irregular spin-ladder. Variable-temperature (2-290 K) magnetic susceptibility analysis of 3 demonstrates antiferromagnetic exchange interactions (J = -13.4 cm(-1)) between the neighboring Ni(II) ions, which lead to the ground-state S(t) = 2.0 owing to the topology of the spin-carriers in 3. A bulk ferromaganetic interaction (J = +2 cm(-1)) is prevailing between the neighboring high-spin Mn(II) and high-spin Mn(III) ions leading to a ground state of S(t) = 7.0 for 4. The large ground-state spin value of S(t) = 7.0 has been confirmed by magnetization measurements at applied magnetic fields of 1, 4 and 7 T. A bridging monomethyl carbonato ligand formation occurs through an efficient CO(2) uptake from air in methanolic solutions containing a base in the case of complex 4.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are synthesized with thiosemicarbazone (L) derived from pyrrole-2-carboxyaldehyde. These complexes are characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurement, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurement of the complexes in DMSO indicates that the complexes are non-electrolyte except Co(L)2(NO3)2 and Ni(L)2(NO3)2 complexes which are 1:2 electrolyte. All the complexes are of high-spin type. On the basis of spectral studies an octahedral geometry may be assigned for Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes except Co(L)2(NO3)2 and Ni(L)2(NO3)2 which are of tetrahedral geometry. A tetragonal geometry may be suggested for Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

Monosulfonyl derivatives of simple 1,2- and 1,3-diamines (R2HN-R-NHSO2R1 = L) have been shown to be easily deprotonated to give neutral 2:1 complexes, [M(L - H)(2)], with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) or Zn(II). The Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with deprotonated N-tosyl-1,2-diaminoethane have a planar N4(2-) donor set and a 14-membered pseudo-macrocyclic structure based on head-to-tail S=O...H-N((amine)) bonding between the two bidentate ligands. In the related tetrahedral Zn(II) complex the ends of the mutually perpendicular bidentate N2- units are too far apart to form a cyclic H-bonded system. X-Ray structure determinations on five free ligands provide evidence for extensive inter-molecular H-bonding, which in the case of N-tosyl-1,3-diaminopropane and its N'-tert-butyl derivative involves formation of dimeric 16-membered pseudo-macrocycles. Despite favourable inter-ligand H-bonding in the neutral 2:1 complexes, these ligands are relatively weak extractants, showing >50% loading of Cu(II) in "pH-swing" equilibria, 2L(org)+ M2+ = [M(L - H)2](org)+ 2 H+, only when the pH of the aqueous phase is raised above 4.  相似文献

Bis(3-cyano-pentane-2,4-dionato) (CNacac) metal complex, [M(CNacac)(2)], which acts as both a metal-ion-like and a ligand-like building unit, forms supramolecular structures by self-assembly. Co-grinding of the metal acetates of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) with CNacacH formed a CNacac complex in all cases: mononuclear complex was formed in the cases of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II), whereas polymeric ones were formed in the cases of Fe(II), Co(II) and Ni(II). Subsequent annealing converted the mononuclear complexes of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) to their corresponding polymers as a result of dehydration of the mononuclear complexes. The resultant Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) polymeric complexes had a common 3 D structure with high thermal stability. In the case of Cu(II), a 1 D polymer was obtained. The Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) polymeric complexes returned to their original mononuclear complexes on exposure to water vapour but they reverted to the polymeric complexes by re-annealing. Co-grinding of metal chlorides with CNacacH and annealing of the mononuclear CNacac complexes prepared from solution reactions were also examined for comparison. [Mn(CNacac)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], [M(CNacac)(2)(H(2)O)] (M=Cu(II) and Zn(II)) and [M(CNacac)(2)](infinity) (M=Mn(II), Fe(II) and Zn(II)) are new compounds, which clearly indicated the power of the combined mechanochemical/annealing method for the synthesis of varied metal coordination complexes.  相似文献

The novel crown-containing porphyrin 5-{4-[(4-hydroxybenzo-15-crown-5)-5-yldiazo]phenyl}-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin (H3L) and its transition metal complexes MHL (M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)) and AgH2L were obtained. The compositions and structures of all the compounds were studied by MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy, electronic absorption and IR spectroscopy. The diamagnetic compounds were additionally characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy. It was proved that Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) are coordinated through the pyrrole N atoms, while Ag(I) is coordinated through the hydroxyl O atom and the diazo N atom of H3L.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) complexes with a new azamacrocyclic tetradentate [N(4)] ligand i.e. 2,3,9,10-tetraphenyl;l,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradeca;1,3,8,10-tetraene (L) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, (1)HNMR, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. On the basis of their non-electrolytic nature, the probable formula of the complexes is proposed to be [M(L)X(2)], where M=Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II), X=Cl(-) and NO(3)(-), in dimethylformamide (DMF). All the complexes are of high-spin type and found to have six coordinated, octahedral geometry for Mn(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes, and tetragonal for Cu(II) complexes. Macrocyclic ligand and its complexes have also been screened against pathogenic bacteria and fungi in vitro as growth inhibiting agent.  相似文献

Four bis-tetradentate N(4)-substituted-3,5-{bis[bis-N-(2-pyridinemethyl)]aminomethyl}-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands, L(Tz1)-L(Tz4), differing only in the triazole N(4) substituent R (where R is amino, pyrrolyl, phenyl, or 4-tertbutylphenyl, respectively) have been synthesized, characterized, and reacted with M(II)(BF(4))(2)·6H(2)O (M(II) = Cu, Ni or Co) and Co(SCN)(2). Experiments using all 16 possible combinations of metal salt and L(TzR) were carried out: 14 pure complexes were obtained, 11 of which are dinuclear, while the other three are tetranuclear. The dinuclear complexes include two copper(II) complexes, [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4) (2), [Cu(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(2) (4); two nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(H(2)O)(3)(CH(3)CN)](BF(4))(4)·0.5(CH(3)CN) (5) and [Ni(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(H(2)O)(4)](BF(4))(4)·H(2)O (8); and seven cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·H(2)O (9), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·2H(2)O (10), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(H(2)O)(2)](BF(4))(4) (11), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz4))(μ-BF(4))](BF(4))(3)·3H(2)O (12), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz1))(SCN)(4)]·3H(2)O (13), [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz2))(SCN)(4)]·2H(2)O (14), and [Co(II)(2)(L(Tz3))(SCN)(4)]·H(2)O (15). The tetranuclear complexes are [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz1))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(BF(4))(2)](BF(4))(6) (1), [Cu(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(μ-F)(2)](BF(4))(6)·0.5H(2)O (3), and [Ni(II)(4)(L(Tz3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(μ-F(2))](BF(4))(6)·6.5H(2)O (7). Single crystal X-ray structure determinations revealed different solvent content from that found by microanalysis of the bulk sample after drying under a vacuum and confirmed that 5', 8', 9', 11', 12', and 15' are dinuclear while 1' and 7' are tetranuclear. As expected, magnetic measurements showed that weak antiferromagnetic intracomplex interactions are present in 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8, stabilizing a singlet spin ground state. All seven of the dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes, 9-15, have similar magnetic behavior and remain in the [HS-HS] state between 300 and 1.8 K.  相似文献

Novel complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Pd(II) with the new ligand [N,N'-bis(2-carboxy-1-oxo-phenelenyl)ethylenediamine] (H2L) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, thermal, infrared, electronic, 1H NMR and EPR spectral studies. Infrared and 1H NMR spectra show that H2L acts as a binegative tetradentate ligand. Coordination occurs through deprotonated carboxylate oxygens and nondeprotonated amido nitrogens in all the complexes. Electronic spectral studies and magnetic moment values suggest N2O2 coordination around each metal centre with strong field square planar chromophores. The probable structures of the complexes have been assigned on the basis of spectral studies. The complex formation between M(II) [M(II) = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)] and (L2-) has also been studied potentiometrically in 75% aqueous DMF at 25 degrees C in 0.1 M NaClO4. The stability constants were found to follow the order: Mn(II) < Co(II) < Ni(II) < Cu(II) > Zn(II).  相似文献

The reaction of M(S2O6) (M = Cu(II), Ni(II), and Co(II)) with 4,4'-bipyridine-N,N'-dioxide (bpdo) results in the formation of novel 3D, 2D, and mononuclear complexes. Complex 1, {[Cu(H2O)(bpdo)2](S2O6)(H2O)}n, is a 2-D wavelike polymer with the Cu(II) ion located on a 2-fold axis and having a distorted square-pyramidal coordination sphere. With Co(II) and Ni(II), 3-D complexes, {[M(bpdo)3](S2O6)(C2H5OH)7}n [M = Co(II) (2), Ni(II) (3)], were obtained. The metal atoms are situated on centers of symmetry and have octahedral environments coordinated to six bpdo molecules. The same reaction in aqueous solution with a metal/ligand ratio of 1:1 results in the formation of mononuclear complexes, {[M(bpdo)(H2O)5](SO4)(H2O)2} [M = Co(II) (4), Ni(II) (5)], accompanied by the decomposition of the dithionate anions S2O6(2-) to sulfate anions SO4(2-).  相似文献
