We study free vibration of a thickness-shear mode crystal resonator of AT-cut quartz. The resonator is a rectangular plate partially and symmetrically electroded at the center with rectangular electrodes. A single-mode, three-dimensional equation governing the thickness-shear displacement is used. A Fourier series solution is obtained. Numerical results calculated from the series show that there exist trapped thickness-shear modes whose vibration is mainly under the electrodes and decays rapidly outside the electrodes. The effects of the electrode size and thickness on the trapped modes are examined. 相似文献

A semi-analytical method based on space harmonics to investigate the vibration of and sound radiation from an infinite,fluid-loaded plate is presented.The plate is reinforced with two sets of orthogonally and equally spaced beam stiffeners,which are assumed to be line forces.The response of the stiffened plate to a convected harmonic pressure in the wave-number space is obtained by adopting the Green’s function and Fourier transform methods.Using the boundary conditions and space harmonic method,we establish the relationship between the stiffener forces and the vibration displacement of the plate.In this paper,the stiffener forces are expressed in terms of harmonic amplitudes of the plate displacement,which are calculated by using a numerical reduction technique.Finally,the Fourier inverse transform is employed to find expressions of the vibration and sound radiation in physical space.Agreements with existing results prove the validity of this approach and more numerical results are presented to show that this method converges rapidly. 相似文献

In this paper, a new analytical method for vibration analysis of a cracked simply supported beam is investigated. By considering a nonlinear model for the fatigue crack, the governing equation of motion of the cracked beam is solved using perturbation method. The solution of the governing equation reveals the superhaxmonics of the fundamental frequency due to the nonlinear effects in the dynamic response of the cracked beam. Furthermore, considering such a solution, an explicit expression is also derived for the system damping changes due to the changes in the crack parameters, geometric dimensions and mechanical properties of the cracked beam. The results show that an increase in the crack severity and approaching the crack location to the middle of the beam increase the system damping. In order to validate the results, changes in the fundamental frequency ratios against the fatigue crack severities are compared with those of experimental results available in the literature. Also, a comparison is made between the free response of the cracked beam with a given crack depth and location obtained by the proposed analytical solution and that of the numerical method. The results of the proposed method agree with the experimental and numerical results. 相似文献

This paper presents an analysis on the nonlinear dynamics and multi-pulse chaotic motions of a simply-supported symmetric cross-ply composite laminated rectangular thin plate with the parametric and forcing excitations. Firstly, based on the Reddy’s third-order shear deformation plate theory and the model of the von Karman type geometric nonlinearity, the nonlinear governing partial difirential equations of motion for the composite laminated rectangular thin plate are derived by using the Hamilton’s principle. Then, using the second-order Galerkin discretization, the partial differential governing equations of motion are transformed to nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The case of the primary parametric resonance and 1:1 internal resonance is considered. Four-dimensional averaged equation is obtained by using the method of multiple scales. From the averaged equation obtained here, the theory of normal form is used to give the explicit expressions of normal form. Based on normal form, the energy phase method is utilized to analyze the global bifurcations and multi-pulse chaotic dynamics of the composite laminated rectangular thin plate. The theoretic results obtained above illustrate the existence of the chaos for the Smale horseshoe sense in a parametrical and forcing excited composite laminated thin plate. The chaotic motions of the composite laminated rectangular thin plate are also found by using numerical simulation, which also indicate that there exist different shapes of the multi-pulse chaotic motions for the composite laminated rectangular thin plate. 相似文献

The free vibration of a flexible thin plate placed into a circular hole and elastically connected to the rigid bottom slab of a circular cylindrical container filled with fluid having a free surface is studied. The liquid is assumed to be incompressible, inviscid and irrotational. The effect of the free surface wave is also taken into account in the analysis. First of all, the exact expression of velocity potential of the liquid movement is derived by a combination of the superposition method and the method of separation of variables. With the help of the Fourier–Bessel series expansion, part of the unknown coefficients in the solution is determined by the consistency condition between the liquid movement and the plate vibration, in the form of integrals associated with the dynamic deflection of the plate. Then, the Galerkin method is applied to derive the eigenfrequency equation of the fluid–plate interaction. Finally, the effects of various parameters and the free surface wave on eigenfrequencies of the fluid–plate system are discussed. As a consequence, the accuracy of the nondimensional added virtual mass incremental (NAVMI) factor solution has also been evaluated by comparing with the more accurate Galerkin solution. It is shown that the proposed method is also applicable to the vibration analysis of circular plates in contact with an infinite liquid by only taking a finite but larger size of liquid to replace the infinite liquid in the computation. 相似文献

We analyze shear-horizontal vibrations of a functionally graded piezoelectric plate of polarized ceramics or crystals of 6mm symmetry.The material of the central portion of the plate is different from that of the rest of the plate.It is shown that when the material properties of the central portion and the rest of the plate satisfy certain conditions,there exist trapped thicknessshear and thickness-twist modes whose vibrations are mainly confined within the central portion and decay quickly outside the central portion.The effects of the functionally graded material properties on the behaviors of the trapped modes are examined. 相似文献

In this paper,we reexamine the method of successive approximation presented byProf.Chien Wei-zang for solving the problem of large deflection of a circular plate,and findthat the method could be regarded as the method of strained parameters in the singularperturbation theory.In terms of the parameter representing the ratio of the centerdeflection to the thickness of the plate,we make the asymptotic expansions of thedeflection,membrane stress and the parameter of load as in Ref.[1],and then give theorthogonality conditions(i.e.the solvability conditions)for the resulting equations,bywhich the stiffness characteristics of the plate could be determined.It is pointed out thatwith the solutions for the small deflection problem of the circular plate and theorthogonality conditions,we can derive the third order approximate relations between theparameter of load and the center deflection and the first-term approximation of membranestresses at the center and edge of the plate without solving the differential equ 相似文献
